Not the best place to have something to eat, unhygienic for a start, there is a dog in food prep areas which if health & safety got involved they'd be told thst that isn't allowed, how can having a yappy dog running round a boat where food is being prepped ok...the fella smokes, totally off putting, it's probably not legit and run under the radar, cheapest ingredients used as well, id give it a minus 10.

A wonderful find as we travelled towards Buxton, having negotiated countless motorways from Leeds! We entered from an overcast and wet journey to the welcome of a blazing fire and the warm hospitality of High Peaks' staff. Tabitha and Izzy delivered two lovely dishes from their 'Favourites' Menu. Pub food, at its best: genenerous portions, piping hot and absolutely delicious. I had the Steak & Kidney Pie - with rich gravy and veg. My wife had the Mixied fish stew - the best she has tasted (and that includes those luxiurious dishes in SW France. Well done to the chefs and serving staff - you made our lunchtime memorabl eand deserve the the acolade you get in Alistair Sawday.

I'm selfishly reluctant to write this review as I don't want too many people to know how amazing The Old Hall Inn is. We've just spent a weekend there ...It's a very special find. If you're looking for a countryside Inn set in the stunning Peak District with log fires, a cosy bar and a fab restaurant and spotless bedrooms tastefully decorated...then look no further. They also offer a few nearby cottages and there's another pub across the road which has a pizza and pie menu . The owners and staff are incredibly friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Top tip ..best to book a table as the restaurant is popular. We will definitely return]

Called the restaurant ahead of purr stay to ask if we would be able to use their carpark to park up our motorhome for a few days over the bank Holiday weekend? We were simply asked to utilise their facilities and partake of so food, that's a fair deal so drove up there and parked up, popped in and let them know we had arrived booking a table for the evening. Our friends came in the late afternoon/early evening with their dog Fynn, yes there's a dining area set aside for people with dogs! We sat down to a fabulous meal, and the company of good friends, we retired for the night to our home away from home and tucked up for the night, there seems to be two areas to park up we picked the flatest, the ares are a short distance from the raid but not too close for road noise to be too intrusive. We got up the next day and popped into the restaurant for breakfast served from around 10am. We can highly recommend this establishment very friendly and welcoming made our short stay very easy and most pleasurable. We've actually started planning our next visit to our friends and will stay here again, as well as using this service at other sympathetic establishments, for our next trips out, as we're self contained and don't really need the services of a more traditional camp site
