We visited the Paper Mill whilst staying in High Peak over the Easter break and wanted somewhere dog friendly for an evening meal. The setting is idyllic and the Paper Mill was busy, friendly and welcoming. We ordered a range of sides and pizzas and a selection of drinks and were not disappointed. Great food done really well! Thank you for a great evening!

Not the best place to have something to eat, unhygienic for a start, there is a dog in food prep areas which if health & safety got involved they'd be told thst that isn't allowed, how can having a yappy dog running round a boat where food is being prepped ok...the fella smokes, totally off putting, it's probably not legit and run under the radar, cheapest ingredients used as well, id give it a minus 10.

We have just spent one night at this little gem of a find. Absolutely loved everything about our stay including walking the Millenium Walk Way at New Mills a couple of miles away (highly recommend). We stayed in room 1 which is situated outside or the pub which suited us perfectly. No lugging bags upstairs. We had Sunday roast in the evening after our day out in the Peaks . Pork was fabulous as was my partners roast beef. There was a good choice for breakfast and the coffee was perfect. Can't wait to come back and explore the area more.

We stayed in spring cottage. Wow, lovely property with everything we needed. On arrival we were shown around by a lovely lady who is a credit to your establishment. We had late lunch that was delicious. Staff are friendly and service impeccable. Breakfast was exceptional and we would thoroughly recommend. A lovely stay.

Having visited several times over the past 25 years by car and narrow boat, we were somewhat dismayed to find that Parking Eye are now administering the Car Park and we therefore were obliged to pay. Whilst ordering food we mentioned the parking charges and were advised to see the barman. He asked for the parking ticket which I recovered from the car, and he refunded the amount we had payed, putting the parking ticket in the till. This is a great pub, full of character and the food was great. When we left we had a walk round the site before returning home. Some time later we were dismayed to receive a parking fine from Parking Eye for £100. This must be a common occurrence as there is a form to fill in on the Navigation Inn Website. Form duly submitted but with a nil result by the time discounted payment required, I appealed the parking charge - result that appeal refused because we had overstayed the time purchased by a few minutes. All attempts to contact the Navigation Inn unsuccessful, phone never answered and website now down for maintenance. Definitely not good enough, a good Pub now been spoiled by an over zealous parking administration, and a failure to be able to get in touch via phone or online. We will not be returning!
