A surprising and totally charming tea room with wonderful staff in period costume. More than this it goes beyond simple nostalgia as it serves a beautiful community purpose with period photos and objects donated, gifted or obtained locally. Just ask how the cafe was conceived and you will understand more. It’s also bigger than you think with a nice garden and mock-up Anderson shelter. The period newspapers on the tables are a wonderful touch. The food was very good and reasonably priced.

I booked Ivy Joys Vintage Tearoom, for my friends baby shower. The customer service from the all staff and owners was fantastic from first organising it to them until the end of the baby shower. The food was lovely and had so many lovely comments from people attending the baby shower about the venue. A few people even said they would be returning during a week day for normal afternoon tea. Overall it was a fantastic atmosphere and all the staff was lovely. I would definitely recommend this tea room for celebrating occasions and to friends and family. I would also return here myself for any future occasions. Thank you so much. Kim ☺️

We had been meaning to visit this village pub after a friend had recommended it. The 'Eat Out' discounted scheme gave us the main reason to give it a go. The starter of tomato and basil soup was steaming hot and delicious, served with crusty bread. I was offered mackerel salad and was not disappointed; delicious served with a bowl of new potatoes. Hubby was served a rather large beef burger and cheese with a side of chips. He has a hearty appetite and it was more than enough for him. The service was warm and friendly, without being intrusive. Had we had paid the full non- discounted bill, we would have been very happy at the price. Listening to the staff taking bookings this is a popular pub You can sit outside or indoors for meals I could see the walled garden, which looked very inviting. I think this is well worth another visit .

Wife & I decided to give the breakfast a try as we've always heard good things. That was far from our experience, booked for 10AM, upon arrival they seated us next to a large and loud table when there was plenty of space elsewhere that was quieter for the two of us. We did ask to be moved straight away but that was just common sense really. Onto the food; There wasn't much selection from the continental breakfast, the toaster barely worked and there were no plates, juices were practically empty and were not the best. After a period of waiting, the waitress came and took our cooked breakfast order, after 5 minutes it arrived which we thought was very fast. Food was luke warm if that and not the greatest. Appeared very short staffed considering and was not once approached during to ask how everything was. We soon ate what we could to atleast benefit from it and left, very disappointed in the offering and definitely won't be returning anytime soon, previous evening meal experiences have been good however.

Stayed here for a family event this weekend. Was a wonderful experience, the staff were excellent. However, during the night I kept hearing someone shouting “SKINNER!”. This morning, as I was retrieving an extra sausage from the breakfast buffet hot counter, I glanced over to the back of the restaurant. Who did see? None other than Superintendent Chalmers from the Simpsons! I couldn’t believe it! Anyway, I wandered over and introduced myself. He really is a lovely chap outside of work, not that you’d think that watching the Simpsons! We had a chat about our visits to Market Harborough and he told me he loves the town. He said “ they must be putting something in the water here, because I keep coming back!” He also told me that while on holiday he’d been tying up some loose ends from a school inspection that he hadn’t quite finished off back home last week. Before he left he gave me his autograph and a big hug. What is it they say about never meeting your heroes? Nonsense!
