The best restaurants in Derby East Midlands

The lady on reception was so warm & welcoming & had the biggest smile on her face! We ordered an online takeaway, so visited to pick up our meal. Online ordering was straightforward, checkout safe & secure & waiting time for our meal was acceptable. We ordered Lamb Rogan Josh, Lamb Korma, both with Pilau Rice, Garlic & Butter Naans. Good size portions, hot, flavoursome, meat tender, as was the rice. Naan breads were deliciously moist & moreish. All, great value for money! We are hoping to revisit but to eat in the restaurant as the food was so good & the staff so welcoming & friendly. There were customers with children eating in & by the laughter heard, clearly they appeared to be having a positive experirnce. We will definitely recommend this establishment to friends & family!

Visited yada for my birthday with family and friends ordered halumi bites omg amazing and chicken wings were fantastic yada burger was the best staff were so friendly and helpful definitely going back

Had my first Jerkco takeaway meal! Amazing food, excellent service. This is exactly what Derby needs, an independent family run business serving high quality food. Original flavours, best food I have had in ages. We had jerk chicken pieces and sides, huge feast! Dumplings... perfect!

Always a fantastic pizza, fresh and super tasty. My only negative experience was when they ran out of dough... So, yes, very desirable pizza!

A great venue in the nice saddlergate region of Derby that catered for our needs as we hosted an afterparty. Kev and his team acted professionally and was able to deliver to our requirements.

You get such a warm and friendly greeting from all the staff here, this has surely got to be one of the best places in and around Derby to enjoy one of their fresh salad boxes, sausage rolls, cakes or filled rolls, all at a very reasonable price.

Really enjoy coming here for a breakfast treat!! 🍽 Great for the community and welcoming to people of all ages. I have spotted the upkeep today of a fresh lick of paint since last visit and re-jig of the chic decor 🪴 probably to coincide with the newly laid (Free) carpark which has finally rid all the pot holes and uneven surfaces. The last couple of visits the Oatcake Full English wasn't available, gutted but understandable as everything is freshly produced. This time we managed to finally indulge and was not disappointed 😋 Could easily eat it all over again, still tasting the oatcake well after consumption!! The hot beverages always remain HOT when getting to the end of a meal #BigThumbsUp, whereas I find in many cafes they become luke warm when going in for the last swigs to wash down 😅 The staff are a delight and ever so lovely to talk to...keep up the good work team 🙌🏼

Went for coffee and food. No smile or eye contact and man was in a bad mood. Slow with the food and the atmosphere was bad. I won’t visit again

The cappuccino I had was one of the worst I ever tasted, it was like milk with a few drops of coffee. And it was overfilled and leaking.
