Bubbling atmosphere and such a historic place! Almost looks untouched. Pizza was strangely good and building was so aesthetically pleasing

A very busy place to eat, which is understandable as the food is excellent. Staff very polite and helpful.

Beautiful hotel in a quiet area. What you need for complete relaxation. Nearby fields, great place for long walks. Very well equipped rooms, very nice staff, great restaurant next door. I recommend.

I have visited Bluebell at South Wingfield four times this year for birthday and other celebrations, and each time I’ve been let down by the vegetarian offerings. In all the years of eating at the Bluebell there is always the same options for vegetarians either a risotto a pasta or lentil burger and unfortunately, it’s consistently bland and uninspiring. A good chef should be able to deliver something more imaginative and satisfying. There are other restaurants within the area who have risen to the challenge of creating good healthy interesting choices that actually contain vegetables. At this point, I can honestly say I never want to eat risotto again. It’s a real shame, because the setting is lovely, the staff are great but the lack of creativity for vegetarians has sadly made me not want to visit again.

We were celebrating our sons birthday, a family occasion for which we booked a table 10. To assist the Fork & Furrow restaurant, we pre-ordered everyones meals. There was no actual starter to choose from, so we were directed to the Tapas menu for starters. I ordered a Spanish Torte fore starter, on arrival and sitting down at our table i was informed that there was no Spanish Torte left (even though I had pre-ordered) and a substitute of Humous was served up, no option to choose anything else. Not ideal. Starters came and went and 45 minutes plus ĺater we had our mains. I had a rump of beef, very nice and cooked perfectly but needed to ask for a steak knife, which you shouldn't really need to in such a restaurant. Mains served and eaten in was quite sometime before our plates were cleared and even longer before our sweets were served. Buy now we had been sitting at the table for 3 hours, which was quite a long time. We did order more drinks, including cocktails, for the birthday boy, which was served incomplete, missing the garnishs and straws, no communication as to if we wanted an alternative, it would have been nice to have the option. The food was good, no complaints what so ever on what we had to eat, it was the service that was not up to it's usual standard.

Did an 8.5 mile walk and had the best pint of Thatchers at the end next to a roaring fire. Great landlord who went above and beyond for us.

A wonderful place, me and my daughter who has special needs popped in for lunch having seen the pub on our way home. We had a fabulous welcome and all of the staff were wonderful with her, she felt very comfortable there and loved the experience. The food (Sunday dinner) was beautiful - very well cooked and great portion sizes. We will definitely make the trip there again another day.
