Great food, great service and authentic atmosphere.

This was a revisit because we liked it so much the first time. And it didn't disappoint us. Outstanding food, service and friendliness. Would certainly recommend, don't forget to book to avoid being disappointed!

A amazing restaurant very busy and very strict with IDs whist I was eating they threw out some people who didn't have id they deserve at least 5 Michelin stars there pizzas where so nice I would think that Julius Cesar himself baked them personally

Went on a recommendation and boy are we glad we did. Price per dish very good. Quality of food superb. Service was very friendly and helpful as it was our first visit. They also do a day time menu between £10.50pp & £13.50pp for three dishes, you can mix and match from all 3 lists and you pay the price of the highest list you choose from. My wife would recommend the cherry bakewell cocktail.

Had a family get together and we really enjoyed it, amazing food and staff, the gluten free pizza was the best ever had

Underwhelming food apart from one dish really - with tapas, there’s always going to be a compromise on quality to be able to offer such a wide variety of items. I’d suggest refining the menu and improving the dishes. Service was good and surprisingly quick given how busy the restaurant was.

Very enjoyable had a beer and the 3 plate £13.50 mix. Kind of like tapas but all at once. Interesting and fun.

Today, I had a delicious Italian meal that exceeded expectations. Every dish was flavorful, and the prices were reasonable, allowing for the opportunity to try a variety of foods. The waitress was courteous, and as we settled the bill, they even presented us with a hand-drawn thank-you note. We will definitely be coming back for more.

The tapas food was amazing and not too expensive. Staff were very attentive and friendly. I can highly recommend The Peacock and we will definitely return.

Italian restaurant with a twist, all dishes are tapas style small plates so you can mix and match, eat little or as much as you like

Although there were LOTS of tables free we were totally squashed in-between 2 other tables. I was served 1 wrong dish and the bill wasn't correct

David who looked after us was brilliant. He remembered us from previous visits in the past. He was attentive and very knowledgeable about the dishes on the menu. The food was beautiful and the atmosphere was just right for the time of day, lovely friendly staff. We will definitely be back.

Booked Saturday for a birthday meal with my wife at 4.45pm but got there and a power cut, which I know is out of their control but the way if was dealt with was very poor, no call to see if we wanted to rebook, no voucher towards a future visit. Poor customer service. Can't comment on food or atmosphere as didn't get to eat. I am told by quite a few of our friends that it is very good though.

Pesto at the peacock is always a pleasure to visit. Food is always amazing and service is fantastic. Visited with my family and loved every bit. We ordered 12 dishes in total and loved it! The Cod Fishcakes were our favourite dish. The tiramisu here is probably the best tiramisu I’ve ever had !

Little diamond of a place. Great Tapas type food, good prices Always busy even on weekdays. Booking is usually a must to guarantee a table. You can also just pop in too for drinks in the bar area.

Had a lovely family get together meal

Great night but however had a huge power cut and night was cut short had to leave with immediate effect so we were asked to leave as soon as the machines booted up to pay so a little rushed.

This was amongst the most beautiful meals I've ever had. There was so much choice, and the beauty of it was that I didn't have to worry that I'm indecisive...because it's Tapas, so I had a bit of everything!

There were 7 of us, we all enjoyed our Tapas dishes. One vegetarian, plenty of options, all good. One coeliac, requiring gluten free. Options clearly marked also option of g/f pasta for most of the pasta dishes. Would recommend as we all had a lovely time. Served by Harper:).

Very average, microwaved/frozen good. Hence the good value for money. Staff were pleasant, though service slow and we felt largely ignored. Probably won't be returning. Nice building.

Good food, good service and decent prices. For something a little bit different (Italian tapas) it's a great place to visit. Update... A few years in and this place has maintained its quality, value and friendliness. Really recommend this restaurant

As always we weren't let down. The food and service as usual were perfect. Our waitress Harper was very efficient, attentive and pleasant. Been here on various occasions and will continue to visit. We'll done all.

Even on a busy night (every night seems to be busy) the staff cannot be faulted, and whoever prepares the food should get a medal.

Food was great and loved the fact you could opt from lunch menu until 6pm which made the main menu affordable. However, the cost of drinks was expensive…over £4 for a drink of Coke seemed a bit crazy… also the waiters need some training… one waiter was very lazy and just kept putting everything in one area and expecting us to move them round even though they were hot and we had young children on table. Another waiter, missed a whole meal off for one of us who then had to wait a while for it to come out, then I asked for a drink several times and it never arrived and then asked if I wanted it as we were leaving… it wasn’t busy… then the high chair was unsafe with broken straps, so I asked for another one and that was also broke so again I gave up and sat with baby on my knee. It’s a shame because the food was really good for the mains anyway, putting was tiny… paid almost £6 for the thinnest slither of brownie…

A great way to taste dishes u wouldn't usually try. Choose three small dishes reasonably priced for your meal. Food was lovely, lots of choice and children's menu. Staff were lovely, excellent service. Book your table though because it's very popular.

This is our new go to place & we love it but it's hard to get a table, especially last minute so be organised & get one booked in advance! Great menu choices, lots for veggies & for all sorts of appetites & budgets.

The 3 menu option is some of the best food you will eat. Just amazing.

Having waited nearly 15 minutes for drinks no other drinks was offered throughout the meal. We had finished our meal for over 20 minutes before the table was cleared even though several members of staff past our table and looked but did not come back to clear it and was only cleared because I had to go to the staff station to ask for the bill. I appreciate its a busy restaurant but asking customers if they want more drinks is a basic thing in a restaurant.

Food was lovely, but it was quite a long wait from sitting down to our order being taken and the food arriving (about an hour) which felt long for a lunchtime service

Great atmosphere. Range of dishes, choice, and service makes a great experience. Now researching if "Pesto at" have any places nearer to us. Definitely worth a visit!

1st time @ Pesto..I'm a coeliac so gluten free needed..Still plenty of choice..we went for birthday and wedding anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed it..would definitely go again 😎

Nice food and surroundings but such delayed service. Booked in for 12-3pm and food didn't start arriving at our tables until 1.45pm. Also, despite the food being hood, the 'courses' for our Xmas meal we're bizarrely put together- the last one was calamari, pizza and garlic potatoes- all tasty but really not great together. The server was super-helpful and very tolerant of all our drinks requests and changes of mind but overall, it was all a bit underwhelming.

Relaxing atmosphere even when busy Brilliant service times between ordering and food being delivered. Did have to wait 15minutes to order desserts and then another 25minutes to pay the bill. Only the last part of dessert ordering and payment delay let us down. Food was delicious as always and will definitely return.

The restaurant was spacious, light, stylish. The staff were friendly, welcoming, efficient and professional. The food was great. Lots of choices, including vegetarian, and the bill was a lot less than we expected. We will definitely be going there again.

Great choice of meals all reasonably priced, good portions and service was brilliant, our waitress (very smiley blonde girl ) was amazing, her genuine smile and bubbly nature lit up the room, she deserves a rise.

We cannot fault the food it's always lovely and a great atmosphere I think the service could be a little better they almost throw the food on the table and we order alot and we are trying to make room but they just keep putting it down so it's all a hurried experience. Then you pay for it and we have never had a thank you yet or a Happy Christmas as we went yesterday. Also when I booked I said I was in a wheelchair and they put me at a table right next to the fire I couldn't move from there because the other seating was a built in bench which my son and his partner didn't enjoy because you can't get to the table properly. But again the food is lively and very tasty

Visited pesto a few times, and have always enjoyed it. Visited tonight with my boyfriend, and didn’t have the best meal. The food and drinks were lovely, good value for money and yummy (as always). sadly, the service let our meal down, albeit a lovely girl I’m sure. However, she never asked us if our food was okay… if we wanted any sauces/more drinks. My partner had to go and ask. When we’d finished she never asked if we wanted puddings or the bill. We sat waiting for 15 minutes and in the end got fed up, asked to pay the bill and left.

I think this place for food is expensive and overrated. Portion wise you don't get that much and most dishes are around £5 or more. I came back to our table after visiting the ladies loo and the smell of garlic was overpowering. It is in just about every dish and although there was a good atmosphere and great table service, I won't be returning.

Lovely Italian Tapas, some food is a bit "samey" but there's plenty of choice and variation if you choose well. Desserts need improving, there's not been any added or changed for a while although the Tiramisu is popular (just not my choice) and chocolate brownie, chocolate orange torte, panna cotta or lemon tart are the other main choices.The Ice cream and sorbet is on the expensive side for what you get in the bowl. Drinks menu is varied and prices average for a restaurant.

Very busy but found us a table. The new dishes on the menu were superb and I would definitely return. The service was by David who was really helpful and friendly and I will heed his recommendation to add bread to the chicken in white wine sauce as it was delicious.

Having booked a table for 7, we were taken to a really cosy area. Orders were taken and everyone's food was brought out at the same time and hot!! The waitress was well mannered and knew all questions about the menu and drinks.

We had the most amazing meal here paired with a lovely wine. The food was lovely and a great range. The desserts are also fantastic. Also the service of Harper was excellent. She clearly knew her stuff and was very attentive.

We went here for a family celebration and the staff, service and food was excellent. It was clean, and the tables were set out lovely. The decor in the place was very luxurious. The ladies' facilities were very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They even bought out a candle on some ice cream for my 3 year old grandsons birthday and sang with us. It was very special to us all. Will definitely come again as not many places around in the area like this one that gives you that quality service.

My first Pesto experience, and loved it. What a great concept for a restaurant, and so well executed. Food was simply excellent, thank you! Very reasonably priced, I will definately go back. Plenty of vegan options for my daughter too.

Visited 3 times so far, I can’t recommend this place enough. Good range of delicious Italian tapas, staff are known and always looking after you. Would recommend booking in advance to avoid the disappointment. Amazing dining experience!

Honestly this place and food is amazing...the price for like Tapas small plates..knocks spots of everything else that they overpriced everywhere else.. it's gorgeous..the service is fantastic.. I'll be back back soon ..I've told everyone now wonderful it is..☺️

Absolutely tremendous in every way - fantastic service and more importantly wonderful food. Some of the best Italian food available. Something for absolutely everyone. The meatballs are the best you can get, and the pasta dishes are wonderful too. Been many times now and never...

Lovely pub & great feel about it .staff were mostly young but capable. Menu was a little over powering, food was brought out but unfortunately some was delivered but the rest came another 5 minutes later which really shouldn’t happen as there were enough staff....
