Did an 8.5 mile walk and had the best pint of Thatchers at the end next to a roaring fire. Great landlord who went above and beyond for us.

Opening hrs are not as advertised. Closed some days

This pub doesn't do food but it's a great place to go for a sociable drink.

Landlord is only interested in his regulars. Full of weed smokers. Definitely not a family pub!

Beer only pub. Does no food, dog friendly, check out the two babes. Bucolic in design and company.

A proper pub, warm fire, friendly people. Great beer garden.

Never ate there , but had a drink , good choice of real ale.

This is by far the best pub in Fritchley! Great for watching the footie and of course drinking the Old Speckled Hen...Cheers.

I found the staff to be unhelpful, disinterested, cold, unwelcoming, miserable and rude. I will never go back. It never ceases to amaze me that people in a job working with the public don’t understand the basic concept of friendliness, warmth and good service.

We were 5 lads worried we’d not be welcome in a local pub, how wrong we were, the owner made us feel so welcome and bought us all a round!!!!

New landlords are lovely, much cleaner than when the previous landlord had it.

Friendly land lord. Decor a bit basic but you come here to drink beer. And the beer is fantastic. Second to none. Located in a lovely village. Speckled hen on draft. Awsome. Dude keep up the good work. I will go back.
