WORST CHINESE IN COUNTRY went in this week about to close but couple of people in .ordered a rice dish nearly £7 only to be given a small container .I did question it only small.total rip off.rice wasn't fried but tasted like boiled .small shrivlled up so called king prawns .tasteless s scruffy place .been to loads of chineses over years this is worst one TOTALLY AVOID

Visiting from overseas. Four of us had 4 different mains and egg fried rice. Absolutely delicious, fresh and tasty. Good sized portions and fair price.

Never had a bad meal from here, always cooked fresh, always hot good portion sizes, Staff are friendly and waiting times arent that bad (Saturday evening can be busy, I'd recommend ordering by telephone ) the only draw backs are it's a cash only establishment & not on JE, UE or any other delvery platforms.

Chinese Takeaway AND a Chippy in one!!!!.... Customer for over 30yrs & still the BEST Chinese Food & BEST Fish and Chips around 💯!! {**Even when we lived in Denby Village we used to travel specially to "Bobs"}.... **Only downside is they DON'T DELIVER but theres always a queue as so busy.🥢🍜 Telephone order advised!!☎️

We used to have takeaway's from here years ago, now we are back in the area, we had a Chinese takeaway, the food was very nice. Will go again. :)

Great food, whether Chinese or traditional English 'chippy' style (the best gravy!) A very clean and long established take away. Edited 12/5/23: Was very disappointed to have been ignored and forgotten in the queue, and then waited in an empty shop while they chatted amongst each other, only for them to pay attention to serve the next person who walked in. Service and atmosphere stars reduced accordingly.

Peanut satay skewers was more like chicken in gravy and were cold. Rice was dry but salt and pepper chips were ok. No free prawn crackers after spending £20+. Better Chinese’ around the area

I haven't been for a while, it used to be great when the old owner had it. Disgrace now. Singapore vermicelli should be spicey, it was bland and tasteless. Stir fried Beef and vegetables with frozen carrots and the beef had been boiled in the juice. Very very poor, so my custom is lost to this place. What a waste of money.

Shame you can't pay with card. Great food....The only Chinese takeaway I've visited =spent £30+ and not gorgeous a bag of prawn crackers. Ever! Again. Great food

Best chinese and chip shop locally

Terrible food, first time I've had food from here, threw it away. The fat used to cook my food was rancid. Don't know how long they have been using it. The chips were hard. Fish cake for my grandson was brown inside. Don't know what the hygiene rating is but this place needs investigating by hygiene inspector's. If you work there, how would you not know that you were serving bad food, cooked in old oil. Why would you sell brown fishcakes, when fish is white 🤔

I had food there and couldn’t believe my eyes. The food was food. Absolutely shocking that the food was good. Couldn’t bare to have another mouthful of that beautiful cuisine. Been going here for 14 years and it was awful. So good it made me throw it. Brings a tear to my eyes. Never stepping a foot in that shop again. The people weren’t nice but opened up eventually. Showing their true colours. They had a dog. Would recommend ordering from here.

I havent been here for a few years but it has gone downhill in quality off food, sweet n sour chicken tasted watered down chips not good and the prawn crackers tasted like they were cooked in old oil, shame it has changed owners I shall not be back I am afraid - miss the old owners :(

The food was cold when I got home, I only live max 2 mins around the corner. Due to covid I didn't bother taking it back to complain. But I won't be going there again.

Lovely food quick service friendly staff

Food was ok not the best but I was waiting for my delivery for 3 hours and I understand the current situation with the virus. However, we were told 8:30pm (we ordered at 8:00). Then it got to 20:45 and we were told 21:25 then it came to 21:45 and there was no sign of the delivery and we could call the place either. Food finally arrived at 22:00

Decided to go to my favourite takeaway for a change as moved out of the area but was visiting friends so decided to pick up a meal. Still as good as it always was. Will do the same again next time I'm in the area.

This is the best Chinese iv been to the food is first class. Only fault they don't deliver so I have to pick it up.

Ok this used to be THE best Chinese around, talking 10 years ago or more though. Really sad it’s gone downhill. Tastes pretty good but first of all: cash only? Really? Secondly: portions are WAY too small. Thirdly: no complementary prawn crackers, oh no you didn’t! Prob won’t go here again.

I've been going here for years and never had a bad meal yet, but recently when my wife got a takeaway and had a meal for herself and when she got home her meal was nothing like what she'd ordered so as we live a couple of miles away i suggested taking a photo of it and when we next go to explain with the help from the photo what they'd done, but when she went back all she got was a lot of shouting and told she got what she ordered and thats that! Not the best customer service!!! Some training required i think! You keep this attitude up and you will be loosing more customers other than us! Pathetic!

We had a selection of food as we always do.... Singapore chow mein Chicken chow mein Chicken curry BBQ spareribs Salt and pepper chicken Egg fried rice Chips This was enjoyed by all the family 👍

just had the worst thirty pounds worth of food delivered, soggy vermicelli , beef satay, not sure it was beef it was so limp and gravy I stood a fork up in it, could go on but I won't

ordered food for three , came with 6 sausages to ordered ? the beef satay was soggy and didnt taste like beef ?Vermechili with pork .. was it pork wasnalso soggy and tasteless so couldn't decide what it was I was eating, chips too crispy to eat and the gravy I ordered my fork stood up in the container .. on the positive side quick delivery but would have rather have waited for cooked tasty food

When Bob ran this place it was spot on. But as it changed hands the people have changed a lot of the dishes I liked for example the satay which now blows your mouth off. So no longer enjoyable. Normally I would be using this place 2 times a week but don't go as often now. It's mainly for the chippy part and not the Chinese part. It's a shame. I haven't managed to find another place to use. So Chinese is out for a bit.

Went we my daughter and niece not a bad place lovely food but the toilets let them down big time but hay the food is really really good so I can let this go lol

Been a loyal customer every weekend for years, recently got taken over by new management and the place has really gone downhill. All dishes are dry and the chow mein isn't the same at all. Such a shame there's no decent chinese anymore. Bob we miss you

We always used this Chinese for many years then when it was first taken over we weren't impressed at all, fast forward a year or so and thought we would give it another chance so pleased we did the food was all excellent and back to its best!!!! the staff are always smiling, we will be visiting again very soon....😀

Work at a business in nearby Eastwood Often have a treat for lunch on a Friday Tried here today - quite a few people in the office ordering a takeaway I had the special chowmein Tasty, well cooked and a large portion for less than a fiver Enjoyed it

Nice Chinese. Not a bad price. Crispy shredded beef has a bit of a kick. Staff are really nice and friendly aswell.

The fact that everyone is polite and extremely knowledgeable about the food they cook. If you want something special they will try their hardest to make it for you. Hot n sour soup is what we like when feeling ill. It's not on their menu but if you ask nicely they will cook it for you. Well done everyone.

We have been visiting new taste house in Langley mill for 20+ years and this place as always been fantastic, we've never had one complaint and we have visited regularly until we called this evening 30th July, first of all they messed our order up then what a disappointment the food was, it wasn't to its normal high standard so I rang them back to ask it had gone under new management and the lady said yes but no signs were up to say so, I'm afraid we won't be visiting again in a hurry, it's such a shame after all those years of brilliant food and service.. Sorry to see you go Bob 😀

I have been using this take away for many years and I think it's the very best Chinese food in the Midlands if not the county. I have tried others but this is number one, the food and service is always top notch and if you are in the area you must give it a try.

We like our Chinese to have a bit of Spice rather than being bland. Singapore vermicelli noodles and Szechuan chicken are our favourites. Just over 8 pounds for the two and large portions
