The best restaurants serving African food in Lewisham London

Had a lovely meal here with my husband … very tasty ogbono soup and the jollof was sweet … all of the meat was very tender and well cooked! Nice music and staff .. what more can you want 😍

Visitamos Beulah restaurante en Forest Hill esta noche. Nos dijeron que sólo abrió anoche (yo lo vimos en mi camino a la estación de tren - es inmediatamente detrás Forest Hill Station). El menú es estándar para los nigerianos un restaurante en Londres, pero los precios son mucho más razonables. Teníamos Moi Moi, Jollof Eforiro con arroz, ñame golpeado y algunos plátanos fritos. Mi marido y yo no tuvimos una buena experiencia, el servicio era muy pobre. Pedí arroz frito con carne de cabra y me trajeron todos los huesos, ni siquiera intenté comérmelo allí, pedí que me lo hicieran, la camarera fue y normalmente me trajo un paquete para llevar para empacar la comida yo mismo, incluso cuando la había visto empacar comidas sobrantes para otros huéspedes y poner en la bolsa de transporte. Mi marido tuvo que pedir una bolsa de transporte para que pudiera llevar mi comida.

I am not going to lie do not remember much how the food tasted, I know the prawns were on point and the chips. We went for a bottomless brunch, I could not finish my 4th drink, the drinks are strong which is good because other places water it down. It was fun, I will try to go back again. The staff were also nice. The food did take a while but we were a group of like 15 people. I will go back again.

We visited the place with family and friends for a meal out. There is building work is ongoing in the surroundings. The location is not the best because it is within the Deptford market area but easily accessible by buses and the Deptford train station is in front of the restaurant. Service was quick and food was really nice – we ordered varieties of Nigerian food. Food price was on average between £5 - £15 per meal. Drinks are mid-range in price. Staff are professionally nice, polite and friendly. I will definitely visit again.
