Tomis Kitchen in Lewisham

We visited the place with family and friends for a meal out. There is building work is ongoing in the surroundings. The location is not the best because it is within the Deptford market area but easily accessible by buses and the Deptford train station is in front of the restaurant. Service was quick and food was really nice – we ordered varieties of Nigerian food. Food price was on average between £5 - £15 per meal. Drinks are mid-range in price. Staff are professionally nice, polite and friendly. I will definitely visit again.

Friend dragged me into this place, which I ended up being thankful for. The place looked as if it were closed, with three inconspicuous doors, and signs on two of three doors saying (please use the other door)...funny.. Anyway, just a very un restaurant-y vibe in general. Service was slow and casual, but very friendly. I ordered an ayamase/ofada stew, mild spicy with "assorted meat", I quote the menu. Turned out to be cow foot and beef and some "insides of the cow" (quote waiter) but very very delicious! Portions were very generous, and there's the options of beans and plantains aside from the ofada rice too. My friend ordered a normal spicy ayamase with fish. I don't even want to think about how spicy that was. But she enjoyed it the same. Bill came up to about £16, with bottled water. Not sure if I would dine here again solely because of the vibe, but would definitely takeaway. If you're not too fussed about the surroundings then I'd definitely recommend :)

I have been to this restaurant on 08/01/16 and had some Plantains and chicken Jollof rice. Service is not the best but the food was okay and reasonable price.

This is the worst service on Just Eat. How this restaurant is even allowed to operate is besides me. Delivery man refused to bring my food up. Had to blatantly refuse to pay to get him to take the lift and come up as he should have done... After being over an hour late!

Visited last night and overall the food and drinks were both lovely. The menu is fairly varied and we struggled to choose, but the waiting staff were able to make recommendations. However, every person who took our order was different, which resulted in starters arriving before drinks, or plates, or water, main arriving on top of starters while still drinking our pre dinner cocktail. Dinner had ingredients which weren't expected or written on the menu. At no point did anyone check if our meal was ok, probably because we had different servers all the time. The location is good and we actually were able to have a good chat, but were really disappointed with the service and then were expected to pay a £30 service charge, which we did.

The level of service was extremely poor and when the driver who came to deliver the food finally arrived, instead of politely coming to the door to provide the food he told us to come all the way to the car. Very rude.

Food was pleasant, with good portions. Service could have been better. Delivery man refusing to come to my door, and implying i should pay him more money for having to come out. Per-lease!

The meal was good and though meal arrived later than expected the restaurant was in contact to inform me. However one factor that was worrying and a bit freaky to me was the fact that after my meal was delivered I received a call from the restaurant and from the attendant who had been dealing with my order after asking if I had received my meal proceeded to ask me if he could see me later and when I asked why out of surprise his response was that he wanted to help me seen as I had mentioned I had a baby and couldn't come to pick my meal up in earlier conversations! This was worrying to me seen as this person now has access to my details - name, address, etc??

Ordered food at 8:00pm, food was delivered at 22:00pm. The efo was served from the bottom of the pot, I know this because the food tasted burnt. The fresh suya was so fresh it was raw, as in you could chew the meat for days. I've eaten at Tomis before, and the food is usually very good. Their delivery service however needs A LOT of work

I ordered online paid with cash and my money was deducted as norm straight from my account called up to find out how long till delivery only to be told they do not deliver even though it clearly stated that they do and I was sent a comfirmation email. The staff were rude on the phone and unhelpful. I had to go and pick it up instead and was then told that they would not be refunding my £3 delivery charge. With all that aside I had the jollof rice with assorted meat and the elusive and Ogbono The food was outstanding no complaints

POOR!!!!!!!!! That is the best word to describe it. You cannot state that you offer delivery and charge for a delivery service and then make a claim you cannot deliver. Its pure misrepresentation. If you want to order from this restaurant, no point using just eat, go there and order as you will be disappointed. customer service is completely horrendous. It would be nice to give the customer and update on thier order, I have to call several times, and the response is we will call you back, 30mins later, still no call and I have to call them. Please, if you cannot deliver a service that you claim to provide do not make that claim and keep your customers waiting hungry.

First it's delivery to the street instead of the customer's front door, now it's delivery taking over 1 hour to arrive, with no phone calls to keep one informed. Get your act together Tomi's kitchen, your service and delivery practices suck!

I have ordered couple of times and the food has been tasty but the delivery man always refuses to come out of the car at all times, usually when i order a takeaway it comes to my front door, thats the point of having food delivered to you!

The food was not at all what I was expecting. First it was lukewarm the plaintain tasted stale and was definitely not fresh. The jollof rice lacked flavour however the ayamashe was quite nice and spicy but there was very little stew. The delivery time was good came when expected and I even got a call beforehand to confirm the driver was on the way. However when the driver came he didnt want to get out of the car which I found strange considering I had to pay an extra £3 for delivery. Probably will not be ordering from here again

Appaling service and delivery time; The meal took more than two and a half hours to be delivered despite me making numerous calls to the resturaunt to complain. When the meal finally arrived it was cold and the quality was extremely poor.

Tasty Nigerian food - will definitely order again
