Zizzi - Glasgow Princes Square in Glasgow City

Great meal, we both had the set menu, it was excellent. All the staff that we came into contact with were all extremely helpful and friendly, a credit to your company.

Zizzi is always good. I moved up from Manchester a few years ago and the new management in Princes Square fits the new look of the restaurant. Quick service and fantastic food. Will always use as seems to be the same quality no matter where.

Staff were really pleasant and professional but felt they were stretched trying to keep On top of things . Having booked it would have been nice to have had a better table . Food was excellent and value for money

My friend and I visit fortnightly for lunch. The food is delicious, and the service from Michal is second to none. Also, Adam is a very friendly, professional manager. We will continue to visit while they are there. Highly recommend.

Very Disappointing Experience My food & My Wife food wasn't cooked properly, not recommended I know I received a discount on my bill this about the food I spoke to one manager and I found them saying we very busy that trying to justify what happened

Absolutely shocking and very unfortunate experience. Especially given that this was a special occasion and we rarely have the money to eat out. Waitress was not particularly enthused or friendly, not a smile on her face the whole evening. Husband ordered lasagne, he loved it, I ordered the super zucca salad with dressing on the side. I repeated this twice as it's happened before that the order comes without this. Of course, that is again what happened in this scenario. When I reminded her politely, was met with "oh, do you want them to make another one?", when yes politely, that it why I ordered the sauce on the side and raised this on the dish being delivered. Meanwhile that meant hubby ate alone and was almost done when mine arrived. Though this time it came with half of the leaves and grains lobbed on the plate, no butternut squash and no red peppers! the main ingredient. Oh gosh, so I had to say something again... so then bought to me, the squash was slimey and turned foul. Not safe for consumption. Oh goodness this was a total disaster. Awful experience, no one subsequently asked 'how everything was with our food'. It was all dealt with very passive aggressively with cold looks from the kitchen staff from across the room. I felt like a burden. I just wanted a nice meal out with my husband. Though they knocked the cost of my dish off the receipt, it didn't at all make up for the cost we paid to come out in the first place for the rest of the meal and transport. Wish we had never of come. We will never be coming back to zizzi, and actively discouraging friends and family from visiting. It was such a shame, and a cost for us coming out despite the dish being removed.

Pizzas had hardly any cheese on them ! Also the rubbish being taken through the front of the restaurant wasn’t a good look ! Sitting eating with bags of rubbish going past your table !!

Fantastic food and atmosphere with very friendly staff. Susan served us today and was very welcoming and made our visit great.

Quick lunch at Zizzi was impressive! Requested fast service due to a tight schedule, and they delivered perfectly. Great food, exceptional speed, and overall superb service. Highly recommend for a quality meal on the go!

Had lunch in Zizzi's for my friends 90th birthday. Staff were very efficient and friendly. Food was good but could have been better. Pizzas had to be sent back as they were cold. However desserts were first class.

Can't wait to come back here again on my next visit to Glasgow, wish I had known about it before. Food was amazing, service excellent and staff really great.

It's as you'd expect of a Zizzi. I pre booked and added a note about sitting in a corner if possible. I was on my own and my social anxiety can go really hard sometimes but I'm trying to push myself to get better in "social settings". The server was amazing; according to my receipt he was called Michal. An absolute asset to their team. He had obviously read the note on my booking and let me choose where I wanted to sit. Which was amazing as I was able to pick a table which was out the way, in an unpopulated area of the restaurant and with my back to the wall. To most that may seem weird but to anyone with autism and/or anxiety, you'll know why that makes a difference. He was so kind, patient and very helpful. Personally for me, it helped me calm down a bit and feel more comfortable. The venue was semi dimly lit as well, like some restaurants tend to be, which for anyone with sensory overloads like light, again makes a difference. Unfortunately my eyes were too big for my belly and couldn't finish my main but both Calamari to start and Pomodoro were excellent as per Zizzi standard. Side note though, their Calamari starter comes in Small or Large and their definition of "Small" is definitely what I would've called Large 😂. I can't even imagine how big the Large version is.

Without making a reservation i turned up with a family of 10 at 1200 on a busy Saturday, not the best of plans. Even though it was obvious they were busy, the manager went out of his way to accommodate all of us, thank you. The food and service was exemplary and our short notice visit to Glasgow was made more successful by your actions.

Food is delicious, and the service is absolutely spectacular! The waitress serving us (Blanca) was genuinely the best we've ever had! Lovely relaxed atmosphere. We'll definitely become regulars.

I would not recommend this restaurant. We had to return our pasta dish as it was mushed up pasta and chicken was raw. Pizza was dry and service was not good, felt we were an inconvenience. Disappointed

I've had a few good meals in this restaurant in the past, nothing extravagant, just enjoyable food and drink. Today, my husband and I went back for dinner, well, what a disappointment! I ordered Chicken Milanese with spaghetti (£16.95) What I got was spaghetti mixed with tinned tomatoes, a FROZEN chicken steak, which tasted awful and very chewy. Profit margin was good tonight! Won't be back

Went here mid December for dinner and drinks. Staff were great fun, had the sharing cheese platter and wine, cocktails. Great night.

It was just ok. I had a 50 gift card and limited places to use it. Would not rush back. Did not say in advance they do not take cash. Take cash for a tip no problem

The food was terrible here. We sent the fondue sharing board back and the salad was not fresh with some of the lettuce starting to turn. Won't be returning to Zizzis.

Had booked dinner on a Saturday night. Long queue in. Got told that we only had the table for one hour. Was seated at a high "bar feeling" table next to the kitchen where lots of people passed. Loud music and noises from the kitchen. Food was okay. Summary - I expected more.

Can't fault this wee restaurant. The Waiters don't overdo it but pleasant snd food lovely.

The food & service was really amazing. Hubby had ordered a 2nd round of drinks on the qr code & mine was different than we ordered at the start. Before I could drink it I had a member of staff stop me & go make sure it was safe for me to drink. The menu didn't mention my rare allergy as an ingredient but is something that he thought might have been in it so he checked for me. I was really really grateful. It turned out it was safe for me to drink & it was absolutely amazing. Food was served quickly even though they were very full. There was no waiting an hour for our food. For two of us starters, mains & drinks we were in & out in 1.5 hrs no problem. The staff were super friendly all in all a fantastic dining experience. We will be back at another time for another date night.

The food was average, service was bad but the thing that ruined the whole experience was getting the bill when I asked for the menu. I'm sure there was no ill intent but this honest mistake wouldn't have happened if I wasn't Asian, especially with the words not sounding remotely similar. I'm sure it also had to do with the fact that I'd ordered a low priced appetizer and drink. Racism and classism are hard to kill.

Pizza is one of the most popular foods in the world, and for good reason! It’s affordable, delicious, and there’s an option for everyone, in Glasgow.

Not the restaurants fault, but i would avoid ordering if you live more than ten minutes away as the food goes very cold real quickly and having to reheat the whole meal is definitely not worth it.

At Zizzi, the food was delicious and the price was reasonable. Sweet potato fries were okay. Margarita pizza was good. The risotto was a bit salty.

The food was good and arrived in good time . The service was lacking a little. Our server seemed annoyed to be there. The atmosphere was non-existent, but it's an odd location, so not much they can do about that. Not the most comfortable seats. We know zizzi food will be consistent, and for a quick after work bite, it was fine

Had dinner here last evening on the way to the cinema. My wife had a lovely pizza I ordered Spaghetti Bolognaise. I have eaten Spaghetti Bolognaise many a time and never had a problem. Zizzi say on their menu “ our take on a crowd favourite, with a beef & tomato Ragu” The Bolognaise description on Google. “Spaghetti tossed in a sauce made from tomatoes, minced beef, garlic, wine, herbs, and spices”. Look at the first photo and see what I ended up with. A bowl of SPAGHETTI coated in olive oil. No taste of garlic, tomato and hardly any BEEF. All for the pricely sum of £13.75. Very poor. I’ve added a couple of other photos of what I would expect when I order a Spag Bol. Hint, hint Zizzi.

Popped in for a bite to eat , staff were friendly and helpful. Issue with ice machine , but nothing major. Also given wrong bill but that’s an easy mistake. Food was fantastic.

Not a great experience. Based on the location and prices was expecting more, food was reheated not fresh. And the tipping policy, should be some British standard the waiter to ask for a tip, never happened before when dining in Europe, usually I am leaving more but felt really uncomfortable been asked.

Excellent food, pan fried sea bass was crisp, carbonara was delicious , bruschettas needs improvement as it was served like a sandwich overloaded with cherry tomatoes. We polished off the tiramisu and chocolate sundae.

My food was fantastic! Chicken calabrese. On this visit lots of the food was unavailable. The tables were clean but only because all the mess had been brushed onto the floor. Staff were a little slow. Great setting. I will be back as the food is that good.

Nuestro camarero el miércoles 7 de octubre (alrededor de las 12 pm), se llamaba Adam. Es el mejor camarero que hemos tenido, y vamos a muchos restaurantes. Fue increíble, muy amable, siempre nos recuerda, lo que nos hizo sentir más especiales y más identificables, entró en detalles sobre las especialidades, sugirió lo que estaba bueno en el menú y nos ayudó a elegir las mejores opciones en el menú. Sé que muchos meseros hacen esto, pero parecía tan genuino, ¡como si realmente quisiera ayudar! Sugirió un artículo que tenía el mismo precio que el que elegimos originalmente, por lo que no se trataba de que él obtuviera más dinero para la empresa. Siempre sonriente y cortés. Para una comida que hubiera tenido una calificación de 5, prácticamente le doy un 10 simplemente por su excelente servicio. ¡Dale un bono o una promoción! ¡Volveremos! ¡Y con suerte estará allí! Met a friend for lunch and a catchup at the weekend, which I do regularly, and as usual, the food was tasty, wine good, and lovely service from Michal our waiter. I'll be back soon.

Great location inside Princes Square -and we were lucky to get a table on the terrace . I had the lasagne which was fine ....perfectly acceptable ...just I prefer a more "compact" type lasagne rather than the type they serve here with more sauce . My other half had the sea bass which was absolutely delicious . Service was very good .This was our first visit to this restaurant and we would definitely come back .

Hubby and I went for a shopping lunch and got our orders wrong. Instead of sticking to the specials, we tried something from the a la carte and unfortunately I was disappointed in most of the food I had. I found it quite ordinary and pricey, and nothing from the menu really caught my fancy. On the plus side, the (cheeseless) fried courgettes I had were the highlight of our visit and by far the best ones I have had. The pizzas looked the job, and we regretted we did not try them. Since it is Christmas time, I suppose stinking to the season's specials would have done us a better service, so silly of us to do otherwise. Our waiter was not knowleadgable about two dishes we wanted (baffingly, one was a simple focaccia). I wonder if they are training new staff, in which case similar hiccups will be sorted real soon by the management. Please note: book well in adavance if you want a table for four.

Popped in here for a bite to eat as both sister and niece strictly adhere to a gluten-free diet, and Zizzi seem to cater well for various eating regimes.I, however, chose the Strozzapretti Pesto Rosso, and it was tasty and spicy comfort food on a cold Winter's day, and very filling too. My sister and niece were happy with their gluten-free pasta choices.Service was pleasant and friendly, and we'd all happily return.

In fairness we had a bit of an issue with the meal but in all honesty it was Christmas Eve and the staff were all clearly stretched .... we complained in a very reasonable manner and in fairness we had a very understanding chat with the manager and he apologised and we understood . So while there was an issue it was the excellent manner in which it was handled that saved the situation from being a truly bad experience. A gratuitous discount was applied to the bill for which we were very grateful .

Dreadful reheated pasta. Food cold. Tasteless items. Even the pizza was cold. Worst Italian inspired meal ever. Would never go back

As visitors to Glasgow we stopped off here to relax with a glass of wine.

Food was pretty poor. The bruschetta was on a piece of bread that hadn’t been toasted so was cold and had a cold butter/garlic spread on it. Not what bruschetta should be. My main course was the penne bolegnaise and it was tasteless and bland. There also wasn’t a lot of the bolegnaise sauce.

I love the Zizzi chain and as we don't have one where we live always take the opportunity to eat here when we are visiting somewhere that has one. This visit was disappointing.

Went here for lunch on a busy Saturday. Staff are excellent and very attentive. Food was amazing, not just your run of the mill italian. We had ravioli, crab linguine, which was delicious, salad and bread with beatiful dip and herby butter. Desserts were amazing too. The wine and drinks list was pretty extensive and very reasonably priced. We can't wait to return. Keep up the good work guys.

Had lunch with a friend recently and, as always, thoroughly enjoyed our lovely food and wine. The service, as always, from Adam, was great. We had rustica mezzo e mezzo pizza (not on the menu, but the chef did a great job - it was delicious!) Previously visited another twice for lunch, and Michal and Giulia served us - both lovely, and very professional. Back soon!

Quite busy when we got there. Good choice on the vegan menu. The vegan zucca was good, the rustica primavera was tasty. The spiedini pollo was a low calorie option. The desserts were great.

A good value family evening meal in the lovely surroundings of Princes Square. The pizza was very nice as was the lasagna. The reason for 4 not 5 stars was the gaps between courses were a little long. Service was otherwise good.

Hemos cenado en Zizzies Princes Square en numerosas ocasiones y nunca nos ha decepcionado la calidad de la comida. Los platos de pasta siempre se cocinan a nuestro gusto y en esta ocasión la lasaña y los espaguetis a la boloñesa con la adición de pan de ajo no decepcionaron. Puede ser un poco caro, pero en nuestra opinión, usted paga por la calidad. El ambiente de Princes Square, especialmente si tienes una mesa en la terraza, es insuperable. El servicio fue amable, como siempre es el caso en Zizzies. Esperamos nuestra próxima visita.

Visited to celebrate my 40th using gift voucher. Our waitress was so very helpful,friendly,she made us feel so welcome & relaxed! Food absolutely sensational & Peroni to go with it! X

Come here regularly with friends and family, most recently on Saturday with a friend who, like myself, decided we'd like an old favourite of ours (no longer on the menu) - rustica mezzo e mezzo pizza - and we were not disappointed. Lovely Michal, our waiter, asked the chef and we had our favourite to share - thank you chef! We laughed when it arrived because it was huge! We loved it, along with our wine and delicious desserts. We'll be back soon!

The ambiance here should be better than it is. The food is as good as one would expect and the service was fine if humourless. Indoors was very quite, too quiet.

A fabulous meal. The meatballs to start were flavoursome with just the right quantity of herbs. My partner had bolognese sauce with a short pasta which she thoroughly enjoyed. My sea bass accompanied by potatoes and kale/french beans was a generous portion and extraordinary value for money. Service was excellent. Our waitress Kasia was exceptional. Wonderfully efficient, pleasant and helpful.

Great restaurant in Glasgow in the gorgeous Princes Square. Fantastic service from our server Katie, really attentive and couldn't have done more! Will be back.
