Such a friendly team! I always enjoy visiting. The food is alway nice.

Food served promptly and was good

Lovely place to sit out or in. Met up with a few friends and enjoyed some grazers and sharers and a few drinks. Service was great and the atmosphere was very relaxed. Will definitely return.

We came as Morecambe fans before our clash at Huddersfield Town and had a lovely meal, great service and an enjoyable experience.

It ticked the box……….. We had THE best time at a ‘surprise’ family birthday meal on Sunday. We’ve enjoyed an occasional meal at the Yorkshire Rose in the past, but this was almost like a ‘home from home’. Our party, in excess of 20 folks-including six children ranging from 2-14, were not only very well catered for in terms of the delicious food, which we were able to preorder making the process of delivery swift and stress free-one guest had a list of all food orders, incase anyone forgot, but, we had the time and space to have a good old catch up👍. The children were able to have a play, to ‘run off some steam’, and we stayed for almost three hours-no, ‘we need your table in half an hour’ type situation. I could go on and on but really just want to thank Becca and the team for a wonderful, and memorable, big birthday celebration💙

Went for a breakfast with my wife and friends. Shane was looking after us. He was very attentive and personable. I tipped him so he must have been good. The basic breakfast was a decent size, tasty and produced quickly. A nice start to a Sunday 😎

Great place, friendly, polite and helpful staff. Food was basic but pleasant and the bar and waiting staff were fantastic and chatty too. All in all, can't go wrong. Our waitress Shannon was lovely and went above and beyond

Friendly, attentive staff, piping hot food and decent sized portions. Grandkids were happy with the play area too.

When we arrived we were shown to our table but not told we had to order at the bar or use the QR code so we were sat at the table for 20 minutes thinking that the waitress would come back to take the order if she had told us it wouldn't have been a problem. Food was good but drinks was expensive.

Called in today for a meal , was a lovely atmosphere for afternoon lunch with friendly helpful staff Thank you .

Rebecca was our host this evening, she was very quick with service and always pulled an amazing pint! Will defo be back this week!

Me and my family came for a meal on Saturday 3rd August. It was great, the food was delicious and the staff were so friendly and helpful.

Fine for a family gathering, nicely presented buffet though needed to ask for serving spoons. Chips needed to be on a hot plate! Lots of space and a good drinks selection at the bar.

I like this pub it's huge inside lots room fresh pizzas made on site they are amazing 👏 🤩 easy to order we ordered by scanning bar code on table and accept apple pay too. Food is lovely 😍 I wish they did the meal deals tho thwy used to

Stopped here for Sunday carvery. Went ‘large’ as it was well into the afternoon and was ravenous. ‘Large’ it is not! Beef was good as were the roasts but not much veg or potato. If you’re hungry don’t bother!

Booked a table for 12, not a problem, food arrived on time nobody kept waiting, Becca and her Staff very friendly and helpful, definitely book again, THANKS for a lovely evening

Really nice place. Wonderful attentive service with a smile and pleasant chat. Excellent food, especially the bacon. Had a Large Breakfast and it was so big (four sausages!) that I couldn't actually finish it even though I wanted to. Can't recommend enough.

it's some time since we last visited The Yorkshire Rose at Huddersfield and after watching a chap doing His review of this pub on YouTube we decided to go there for a late lunch. It just happened to be "Steak Thursday" on the Daily Special Menu. So here is the deal, Steak of choice, Rump, Sirloin or Gammon with Chips etc. and a pint of Beer, Lager, Cider or Soft Drink at a very reasonable £12.95 with a £1 upgrade to a Premium Lager. I ordered a Medium Rare Rump Steak which came with Chips, Peas, Tomato, Onion Rings and Mushrooms and I opted to pay the extra £1 to upgrade to a Pint of Peroni. Mrs ordered the Rump Steak as well but cooked to Medium and with all the same trimmings and her drink of choice was an Apple and Raspberry J2O. What was the food like? The Rump steaks were cooked to perfection and the Onion Rings and Chips had a nice crunch and the Peas, Tomato and Mushrooms were excellent too. The pub is fine and spacious and clean. The Staff were Pleasant and courteous and eager to help which made for a very pleasant lunch. The two meals we had were £ 13.95 and £ 12.95 respectively and they included our drink of choice but they were bloody good as well, so 5 Stars from the both of us. NB/ In the past we have been to many Pubs for what seemed a good deal only to find the couple of drinks we had, added another tenner to the price of Lunch and then the value goes out of the window. (Someone has got it at last)

Kitchen had tun out of pretty much everything on the menu, so left us scrambling around when ordering, much more stressful than necessary, if you are advertising sunday lunch, have some beef & turkey or chicken, not that complicated is it!!

Me and my partner came in last night for a meal and a few drinks and our host was absoloutely brilliant. Her name was Becca and she was really attentive & polite. She made very good recommendations for drinks and we had a lovely time. Thanks Becca!

Popped in after work for a bite to eat with a colleague, it’s been a few years since i’ve visited! Nice selection of meals prepared quickly in a friendly atmosphere, our host Becca made us feel so welcome and made sure we were happy with everything during our visit, will definitely be visiting again when i’m next passing through!

We were staying at the hotel next door and we ate here every night. Great food the staff are amazing and they are dog friendly which is always a plus when traveling with our dog.

My sister was planning to visit huddersfield, I drove past the Yorkshire rose pub and asked my sister to look at booking into the travel lodge next to the yorkshire rose. I had never been into the yorkshire rose before. Wow the food was great, the pub is clean, tidy and the staff were very friendly and welcoming ( beth) would definitely recommend the pub and travel lodge to anybody visiting the area. Big big thumbs up to all the staff, well done guys 😁👍

Brilliant, helpful, diverse, staff, nice place and good food. I was staying in the travelodge and your venue was convenient for meeting people after the funeral. I was really pleased that you had an EV Charger in your car park which I made good use of. I would definitely go back to your public house again hopefully under better circumstances.

Great pub! Never been before despite living in huddersfield for the last 10 years with my husband and two kids. We saw it was close so thought we’d check it out, and we were pleasantly surprised! The food was great, and the atmosphere was lovely too. staff were quick, and made us feel very welcome. 5 ⭐️

We stopped coming here afew years back due to the quality in food standards dropping dramatically. However, tonight we decided to come back and give it another go. The food was quality, the steak cooked to perfection and staff were brilliant and helpful all throughout the evening, compliments to the new chefs, Definitely will be coming back.

Came in today for dinner & the service was absolutely amazing! Becca was our main host and her customer service skills are just fantastic! Every member of staff was so helpful, friendly and efficient but a special shout to Becca for ensuring our food and drinks came quickly and were just right! Would definitely recommend!

was looking for somewhere to have a meal, but we had our dog with us. We rang and the a lovely lady said yes of course dogs are welcome. We got there and they knew it was me straight away with our dog. They'd reserved us a table and got our dog a bowl of water. Class service. Friendly place.

dope pub. whole team is spot on. good people. good vibes and they've saved my sweet backside whilst I've been here. also one of very few places that are truly dogg friendly... felt I was gonna lose my marbles until I realised and I've been camped out here ever since... temporary homeless problems due to abusive parents and that lol... but yeah shoutout to the whole team, very grateful for how I've been treat. special shoutout to team lead Dan who has been a true superstar... oh and the steak and ale pie is banging (tbf the fish and chips was great too aswell as a few other bits I've had). I've had it like nearly every day for like a week and a half or something lol so yeah. it's good. take care ya'll and if you're in Huddersfield, definitely pay the Yorkshire rose a visit... Love coming here almost every Thursday!! Dan the quiz man is so fun to have a laugh with and with his dyslexic reading of the quiz, lol. Food is fantastic, and service is so warming. Highly recommend!! <3

The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful and served my drink and food quickly. As I was on my own, the self table service was really nice, rather than having to go up to the bar.

Visited on 2 occasions recently with mum and everything has been consistently great. Wasn’t expecting this tbh as generally thought it was a drinking pub….clearly not! Staff are all warm, friendly, and in touch with customer needs; fantastic, happy, welcome, always making checks everything is great, fab food! The manager Beth was on duty the second time we went and she and the team working with her were on it the whole time, as had been our previous experience, which encouraged our return, with Dan and Shane. Thanks to everyone.

The place was cold and empty, chefs here couldn't even get a basic burger right. Only reason i am not giving 1 star is because thankfully the polite waitress and manager gave us a refund. Would not reccomend here for food *EDIT* This place has since changed manager/staff etc and the food is always spot on now

Came here with friends for my wife's birthday. It was steak night, so we all had steak and had a great discount. Large open space inside. You can order with an app rather than in person. Good all around, but it felt very commercial rather than personal.

We visited Yorkshire Rose because we were going to the major concert on at the stadium nearby. Our experience was fine and normal until it got busy with concert goers. The bar staff were run off their feet and the wait time at the bar was over half an hour. It was difficult for the staff to memorize who was next to be served and people were getting agitated with others getting served before people who felt they had been waiting longer. There weren't enough glasses for the drinks - empty glasses were piled up around the pub with no staff to clear them and wash them. This was actually taking away table and drinking space too from an already overcrowded pub. We resorted to using the app after waiting half an hour at the bar to no avail. After an hour our drinks still hadn't been brought to us. We went to the bar to cancel the order and ask for our money back. There was a MASSIVE pile of receipts of orders from the app and the staff said there was no-one processing them. You could see more order tickets coming out of the machine and they were just being placed in a pile. Why not put the App on hold instead of taking people's money when it was very obvious that there was no way that you were actually going to deliver what you had charged people for? We got our money back and left but I know of people who didn't think to ask for money back. You must have made so much money out of this rip off. This same debacle happened last year at the other major concert at the nearby stadium. Why haven't you learnt from that and employed more staff this time? You can easily draft in staff from other Marstons pubs for the day. This was a Tuesday. Other of your pubs away from the stadium won't have been busy in the afternoon so it would be straight forward paying taxis for other staff to come and work at the Yorkshire Rose for the day. You had known about this event for a very long time. 4 stars given for service because the staff were fine. It wasn't their fault they were so busy. They were working very hard. For service policy it's zero stars. Next year we will not be visiting your venue before the concert and will also tell our friends not to. we will go into the town centre instead.

The food was good but nothing outstanding. The shift manager was hostile and unwelcoming. He seemed arrogant and didn't take responsibility when an issue was raised. Overall, he seemed miserable. The 2 star service rating is a reflection of the manager, not the waitress.

Excellent venue. Food and staff lovely.

Not a bad pub local and convenient to me. Try to avoid the football and rugby crowds, It tends to get very crowded due to it being the last pub before the stadium.It has a children's area, that keeps both of mine entertained for a couple of hours and it does allow dogs, all the staff and managers are helpful and I have never had to send the food back.

I had the Sunday chicken roast spot on all was delicious especially the sundae after even my dog enjoyed the chicken very friendly staff and atmosphere spot on lovely location be back soon

We love this place.we cannot fault it at all. The customer service is amazing, and very attentive. The young lad with the blue hair is especially lovely making sure we had everything. This is why we keep coming back. Especially in summer!! I wish you had a jar though for tips. That would be brilliant (unless you do and we've missed it).
