Yorkshire Rose in Craven

Having looked all over for a pub showing the Newcastle v Tottenham match, the barman here was so accommodating. He put the Leeds match on one side of the pub and Newcastle on the other. He could not have been anymore helpful. Dog friendly too!

Called in for a drink when visiting Skipton with friends. Very nice pub, we would like to visit again.

Stopped for a few drinks with family.

Cracking Skipton down to earth pub with outdoor seating for better weather. Did eat as the kitchen was closed but the range of ales was good and the.pot of tea absolutely huge. Would we go there again. Definitely would the players e is Ab Fab 😎

The closest to a real old Northern Pub you will come to. Old coaching Inn. No of these recent pop up Microscope size bars, with room for only 15 punters.

Decent pint, and it was showing sports on multiple screens. Child friendly as well.

We visited on May Day bank holiday with our children and were made extremely welcome. There was a great range of drinks and the pub was spotlessly clean and we were even offered playing cards etc. Will definitely be visiting again

Another great local pub with great real ale. Went for a pint of Taylors Landlord. A long time favourite from a legendry Yorkshire brewery. Lovely. Personally I prefer fewer TV's.

Excellent pub well situated near the canal basin. No food but a good range of beers, sports shown on large TVs. Not too busy even on a market day.

Nice oldy worldy pub ,decorated for halloween. Good atmosphere and nice welcome ,dog friendly. We just had a round of drinks, reasonably priced. Male toilets a bit stinky, but in general worth a visit

Had a walk into Skipton from niffany barn along the canal . Called at the Yorkshire rose n had a couple of pints . Very enjoyable.

Whichever cask ale you choose it will be pulled correctly and taste perfect.

Great place, dog friendly, clean and pleasant for a drink. Lovely sheltered seating facing the main road, plenty of seating and VERY clean and modern toilets, however no disabled access from beer garden. Otherwise lovely place!

I visited this pub on the 16th July 2021. This pub had 3 real ales on but pre covid had many more there is a very good summer outdoor drinking area and a large indoor drinking area This pub is in the centre of Skipton

A group of us visited for drinks, the whole experience was hilarious the owner/ barman kept us all amused with his obnoxious behaviour towards the customers, I have never seen anybody so rude, we thought we were being filmed for Faulty Towers. Don't know how long the pub will survive in the present climate. A few of us visited the day before and had a very similar experience.

Thoroughly enjoyed, would definately return. Staff where very friendly and obliging.

I didn't have a good experience in this pub I was sat down at the table with my drink.. an elderly woman came the door with an exemption badge clearly displayed, the landlord told them to put a mask on when the elderly woman said she was exempt, he said we don't care nobody is expempt in my pub, the discrimination towards this elderly woman was disgusting I could feel her pain. As she left the pub her family followed too leaving there drinks on the table unfinished.. when they left the landlord was having a good laugh about it with his wife behind the bar not noticing I was watching the whole scene.

Very rude staff bad customer service, the landlord was arogantly chatting to his freind while there was a long que at the bar.. the pub is in need of a good clean it was thick of dust.. not to mention the toilets.. the beer was flat and tasted like they dont clean the pipes wouldn't visit this pub ever again and don't recommend it to my worst enemy

A lovely Yorkshire pub, clean, tidy with fabulous staff. Do accommodating on this rather difficult time. Only had a Covid meal, but was super for £2.00. Don't miss this one out on your Skipton tour..

Called in for a for a pre lockdown lunch after a walk around Skipton. Previous positive reviews were not wrong!!! Food was excellent and the staff very friendly. Let’s hope after the lockdown customers continue to support this little gem. We will definately return. 👍

This pub was very very busy. So much so we had to sit outside on a coldish night. Very enjoyable with good beer.

Stopped here after a canal boat trip, read the reviews which seemed good enough for us. Popped in,the pub has an extremely high standard of cleanliness,track & trace etc. Very well organised, menu seemed limited, but chose a snack which seemed reasonably priced. Nothing what so ever wrong with the food enough to complain to the staff about but just not as good as we thought, not homemade chips and the burger was extremely dry to eat. Panini was ok but just ok. I think maybe due to current situations the menu has been shortened but sadly we was just slightly disappointed. But keep up the great work it's a beautiful pub with excellent beer garden and wonderful staff

Against my advice from previous visit we stopped off here on way to Heysham Port I was proved correct , yet again. slow service , rude landlord, just as stated by previous reviews, and extremely slow service. went to pie shop opposite AVOID

Whilst visiting Skipton we made use of the beer garden at the Yorkshire Rose on a couple of occasions.The bee garden was nice in the sunshine and there was a good range of beers and drinks on offer.Good signage and signing in facilities with regards the Covid 19 restrictions

Was going to have the usual fish and chips but decided against what a great decision We found this pub with a great beer garden and excellent helpful and first class staff Beer first class and the food was excellent piping hot and very tasty.

Great pub and the team are all ways welcoming and kids and dogs are welcome

To be fair, I give this 3.5 as a rating.The good - Top food (Beef brisket with all the trimmings, which was to die for), good beer, nice staff, nice interior.The bad - Too many people in, considering the pandemic. We were in a narrow section at the top end of the pub. Three tables are in the section, which are far too close too each other. The experience wasn't helped by a really loud chav family, from Sheffield behind us (who were telling anyone, that they thought was interested in this dull bit of info). They had befriended an equally chav couple, who were sitting on the table next to us. That couple were swearing at the TV, because the horses they had bet on, hadn't won. The couple next to us, were banging on about how they were from Batley, to the Sheffield family. All shouted how they loved Skipton, hated that their holidays to Benidorm had been cancelled, due to Covid, and how the food looked great in here. Our wonderful meal ruined by, us caught in the middle of a chav shouting tennis match. I advise that you don't cram 3 tables into such a tight space, in the current situation. Put that right and you will be scoring a five rating.

First visit, great choice of real ales and staff were really friendly and helpful.Food was excellent, ordered big bad wolf sandwich, quite possibly 1 of the best I have ever eaten. It was massive and a bargain price. My wife had prawn and Maria rose, again a substantial sandwich and she really enjoyed it. Home made chips were superb.All in all a fantastic visit.Thanks

Popped in for lunch, I hadthe big bad wolf sandwich, pulled pork, griddle spam and thick cut smoked bacon. An absolute monster sandwich, possibly 1 of the best sandwiches i have ever had. My wife had prawn and Marie Rose sandwich, again fantastic. Highly recommend the chips, superb. Great choice of real ales, staff are very friendly. Highly recommended

What can I say? Visited Skipton for a few days and found this pub with a lovely beer garden.We visited 3 times throughout our stay. Staff friendly and following covid guidelines. We felt right at home like one of the locals. Bar staff were lovely and one even recommended a different gin to try which was amazing! A breath of fresh air compared to the awful serve we received at another pub in Skipton. Well done!

Took my 14 and 16 year old grandsons for a pub experience in the evening .After looking for a suitable table we were told by the Landlord that teens were not welcome due to his licence restrictions . We had never experienced this with other establishments but promptly left . A pub further down the street welcomed the four of us after we confirmed that the teens were acceptable .

Came to skipton today from Harrogate called for drink in the Yorkshire rose the food looked so nice we had dinner burger and chips the food was lovely the staff were friendly and the service young lady was lovely we will see you soon the hand sanitizers were there as you went in you are doing a great job julia ste .

Just a gem of a pub in the centre of Skipton, friendly staff, incredible service, the BEST Sunday roast I've ever had " The Chicken Dinner" & the cauliflower cheese to die for... Thank you Steve for making our visit a memorable one and we look forward to returning in the near future. Dog friendly too which is always a bonus. Highly recommend this establishment .

We were in Skipton for a day trip looking for somewhere to eat, didn't want to go to the Wetherspoons as wanted to support a local independent business, we came across the Yorkshire Rose which had a warm welcoming atmosphere, when we entered we were directed to the hand sanitiser & gave contact details for track & trace. We had the beef burger with a bowl of chips & have to say the taste was lovely the seasoning was just right & could tell straight away the burger itself was excellent quality the chips also were good & not greasy as you get in some places, the cost was very reasonable. I read a previous review who commented on the staff, I have to say they must have been to another place as we found the staff member who served us was very pleasant. Definitely will be going here again if we are ever in Skipton again in the future.

Just had our lunch in the Yorkshire rose with my daughter. I was impressed that we were greeted at the door and asked to sanitise our hands and sign in. Been to a few places lately that hadn't bothered sticking to the rules so this was really appreciated. The staff were friendly fast and efficient. The food was priced reasonably and offered great value for money. We didn't expect the portions to be big but we again were pleasantly surprised. We would definitely recommend and will come back next time we are on Skipton

Went in with Harley to book a table for 7 only to be told the kitchen was shut. Grumpy and rude landlord, had a drink, didn't like it when I asked for a clean glass Did not like the way I was spoken to.Avoid this place.

What a feast of food.The pork loin was cooked to perfection and the cauliflower cheese was to die for.it was a fantastic plate of food and at a very good price,I would recommend it to everyone.
