Great coffee as usual Very friendly and helpful staff

As is always my experience at Costa, the coffee was great and the staff are always good to talk to. The setting is probably good but unfortunately I always compare it with my local one which just feels more warm and welcoming.

Coffee is not that great. Ordered a small iced coffee and it was really warm and watery. It wasn't cheap. However some of the other drinks looked nice.

Very rude , immature, untrained staff and strange kind behaviour with the customers ? No customer service sense . It was my birthday last day , and I went to skipton costa store to to celebrate my birthday I order couple of coffees and my birthday treet as mention in my app .. but the young girls look like under age staff treet me and my partner very badly.. never expect this from @Costa #Costa staff can be like this ,, they treet us like racist just bcz we are Asian . Make my day worst and make me guilty in front of my partner .. ridiculous .. I am regular customer of costa from last 2 year but never treeted like this before … absolutely sick and racist staff …

Least favourite coffee shop in Skipton. I'd rather wait 20 mins for a coffee in the Starbucks across town than go here.

There is lots of choices available, many cakes,biscuits, toasties,and fresh sandwiches, lots of drinks to choose from, very professionally organised tha staff are very friendly and welcoming, however be prepared for a bit of a wait at peek times,we'll worth the wait though.I would recommend it to everyone.

Brilliant as always, Friendly staff and decent food and drinks. The store looks like it could do with a refurb but this shouldn’t reflect on the job the girls do in this store. So much better than it once was.

Possibly the worst ever Costa Coffee we have visited. It looks grubby, service was exceptionally slow and there was a helper behind the bar, who when she made our toast (Brown bread but looked white as it just hadn't toasted in the time it was in the oven), the girl looked as though she had just done an oil change in a car dealership - it was noted she 'helped' out for a few people, yet never washed her hands, going back to handle her smartphone between each assist. Another member of staff came out, glasses, middle aged and talk about loud - she was blabbering on to the girl who had helped about Tik Tok and numerous stuff you really don't want to hear in such a loud voice - how about looking at your restaurant and getting it looking tidy, clean some tables and above all look at what's happening behind the scenes as both of our coffee's tasted soapy.... cups perhaps not rinsed properly?? all told it was disgusting and one to avoid like the plague. We always head to a Costa For our morning break, this would put you off big time as no doubt other have found out as it was dead in there. Now we know why.

Lovely experience at this Costa. I feel most Costas round here get over looked, however i really enjoy Costa and especially the Skipton store. Each staff member i have encountered is nice, friendly, and speedy with their service. My food and drinks came with in 5 minutes even though there was a bit of a queue. Comfy seat choices. A range of Food. Will be visiting again as they also offer Take Out.

Went in for a cup of tea, no food eaten.

Great drinks and really nice area to sit upstairs but we're having to listen to the staff constantly complaining about having to do their job. It's not nice to listen to. Working in hospitality myself I know that it can be annoying constantly pot washing but you don't let the customers know that. Just a bit rude if I do say so myself.

When offers are on never any choice. Ie just had the 2 cakes for £4 on. Just muffins and carrot cake yo choose from. Usually one member of staff grumpy and rude. The place needs a serious makeover. Always something wrong last time we went couldn't add points/rewards on till down. Its hopeless. Its also getting way too expensive would rather go to wetherspoons and get refillable hot drinks for £1.35 each. Can have nearly 4 hot chocolates for price of one in costa. Lost so many rewards lately and no customer services to ring anymore that says it all. Don't even expect to get a reply from this Complaint.

Amazing staff, overall good experience

Upstairs toilets need attention,hand dryer blowing out cold air and toilet seat fixed on with wooden cane sticks.

Everything i expect from a costa coffee More/new staff, still working very hard, Maybe still need to look st staffing level!? Staff everchanging, but still competent! Still want go even though the rewards are not the reason, query if its worthwhile? Good job the coffee is good!

Clean, bright with pleasant staff. The coffee, latte and iced coffee, was very good drunk in comfortable surroundings. Only downside was a management meeting being held in the main customer area.

Popped in for a couple of cappuccinos. Coffee was fantastic as usual 👌 staff welcoming, polite, and friendly. I've given three stars 🌟 🌟🌟 only because we found that the interior, like most Costa cafes these days, was tired 😫 and needs a refurbishment. All four easy chairs were, lets say, passed their sell by date due to dirt and staining. The tables were clean, yet we had to sit at three before we actually had one that didn't wobble. Get it sorted COSTA....

Hub and i visit our local Bradford Costa Coffee 5 or 6 days a week Staff always friendly and helpful..mostly a good atmosphere when there's no noisy kids running around using it as a Crèche. But just lately has turned into an office for people working on their laptops, sometimes 5 or 6 laptop users and you can't get a comfortable seat, they buy one drink and hog tables for long periods of time. There Should be a time limit for these people.

I wanted to get my birthday cake there last week but the WiFi doesn't work according to the lovely staff, and there is no 4G outside so I could only have coffee, a bit annoying.

The staff are very pleasant but slow.

Bad drink today usual good but today cold and the customer service is lacking a bit, myself a customer had to help another customer other day to carry their tray as they were disabled that should of been the staff that did that. My drink today was warm when I got it as she added extra cold milk to the drink after heating it then left it while serving another customer, shame as there usually nice hot drinks

Lovely coffee, friendly staff and clean & tidy. Decor and some furniture starting to look a bit tired, perhaps time for a refresh.

Seating upstairs and downstairs. Usual things to buy. Has improved recently.

Looking for somewhere to recharge before continuing my journey I ventured into this dark and drab coffee shop for the first and last time. First impressions are lasting impressions. Although I was the only customer at the counter I had to wait while other "more important" tasks were undertaken whatever they were. I was treated to indifferent service followed immediately by the server chatting to other members of staff as if I wasn't there. The piece of cake I chose turned out to be hard and stale on one side - probably been sitting on the counter for some time. I interrupted the no doubt fascinating staff centric conversation and asked for a receipt; while receiving a coffee AFTER the person who came in after me (it was the same coffee - a latte). If you don't like being ignored or eating stale cake, there are plenty more coffee shops in Skipton.

Shabby, untidy and generally not very welcoming. Coffee was nice but if there was t a Costa sign outside people would look in and walk past, very dingy and in need of a refurb as are all Costas.

Mixed review here. Went in for a coffee, was the only customer there. Staff behind till was talking to her colleague for ages before getting round to speaking to me. After I gave my order, she continued her conversation across the cafe. At one point even was joking about dyslexia - hardly appropriate, and hardly professional. Head Office were very concerned after my complaint, gave me a free drink, and apologised profusely which was lovely. I just wish the public facing staff were a bit better and I wouldn’t have to make this review. The coffee itself was absolutely fine in the end - exactly as you’d expect for Costa!

Would prefer more tables for 2. I was on my own and had to sit at a table for 4 so there was 3 vacant chairs but people are not willing to share tables so if they can't sit down they leave the cafe to go elsewhere which means Costa is losing business

OK predictable coffee but one thing that was outstanding was how warm the place was. Boiling but nice boiling well not literally boiling but more than warm poss Hot yes hot not boiling lol

Staff more bothered about talking to off duty colleagues and looking at their phones than serving people I stood waiting 5 minutes with nobody else in queue whilst they talked and looked at me like I was an inconvenience. Tables were not being cleaned up. Half decent Cortado though when they got round to making it.

The way the staff here speak to not only each other, but also the customers is shocking, including what seems to be the most senior member of the team which clearly has no interest in setting a positive example. The staff often speak to each other with such poor attitude and disrespect, often with no care that they have a queue of customers overhearing. This same negative attitude is then given to a customer should they require any additional service or even ask the most basic of requests. As soon as the shop becomes busy which it often is, the service breaks down immediately and the staff begin making unprofessional comments to each other. I’m afraid these staff, along with the manager, need to go back to basics of customer service.

2nd visit to this cafe. Same experience both times. The cafe is filthy and staff do not look the cleanest. Whilst perfectly pleasant when they do serve you this privilege comes second to their own personal comversations. Take away drink I was given was cold. There are so many lovely cafes in Skipton I can't understand how this one survives on such poor quality. Shall not be returning to any Costa outlets.

Nice friendly staff. Bit of a q but that is expected as quite busy.

Terrible service, staff not technically proficient enough to operate the till, only accepting cash payments when I arrived, refused to serve me a drink and scan my Costa app when I am leaving instead left me stood at the counter ignoring me with no advice. Ruined my afternoon. They then tried telling me I had a signal problem on my phone because they couldn't operate the till and scanned my Costa QR code 4 times which they were asking me to present to the scanner before they'd selected the correct option on their touchscreen. My app then registered that the voucher had been used as they'd already scanned it so many times but they asked me to scan it again as they'd asked me to do it at the wrong time again. I demonstrated to them that my phone did not have a signal problem by performing a fast.com speed test which displayed a fast low latency connection with full EE 4G signal (25Mbps dl). The staff member then lied to me and told me the app only works on in store WiFi before walking off through a code access door. The coffee machine was absolutely filthy. Staff scratching their noses and then serving food without hand washing. Staff handling cash and then preparing food with bare unwashed hands. Overflowing bin behind the counter. This is a rubbish Costa, customer service was completely unacceptable. If you want a decent coffee in Skipton then go to Bean Loved or opposite Costa is the Three Sheep, both excellent.

What an awful experience. Using “reduced to clear” milk and openly having the carton with the reduced label on the counter? Our drinks were are near to £6 each so don’t really expect for you to use reduced near end of use by date milk? The presentation was awful, all the cream had spilt down the cup, which made it all sticky. Worst part is the barista was bragging how she was 20 minutes late this morning to open up, as she was out drinking the night before- and even bragged how she had customers queuing out the door! Disgusted.

Went there on 15/10/2022 with my partner, and we got a medium mocha, and a medium gingerbread latte, both for takeaway. From the start, the barista preparing the coffee, seemed as she was rushing everything. When it came to applying whipped cream to the latte, and closing the lid, the cream spurted out of the cup. She wiped the cream off, but it left the cup very sticky, and the attitude presented at the time, was very poor. The barista shook her hand, and a by standing customer was sprayed with leftover cream from barista's fingers. As for the taste of the coffees: chocolate was added to the milk and then steamed (mocha) which resulted in the chocolate being burned. The coffee was scalding hot, almost impossible to hold the cup. The taste was burned, bitter, and unpleasant. Gingerbread latte was no better, as it also was extremely hot, the taste was a mixture of sour and bitter (no clue how you accomplish a sour coffee), and the gingerbread man was so stale, as if left out of packaging for a few days. Overall experience at Costa Coffee Skipton today could be represented by the coffees we purchased: sour, and bitter.

Popped in today with my daughter. Staff very lovely and made a vanilla frappe especially for her. Very kind and thoughtful especially to my daughter giving her a special treat as we left. Thank you

Love Costa however have kept trying this particular Skipton branch hoping it will be better. Very poor atmosphere tensions obvious between staff, my drink had been forgotten.Alot of crashing about. Clearly staff problems etc here. New staff all the time, not going to try again consistently poor and depressing staff situation 😢

A recognised good standard with excellent coffee in comfortable surroundings. Service was friendly and efficient.

Asked not to put chocolate on decaffeinated cappuccino. Wanted to sit outside but only 2 tables with 2 chairs to each table and there were 3 of us. Asked for an extra chair but they couldn't pur inside chairs out.

My wife and I arrived to an obviously upset member of staff behind the till. Complaining about everything, not what you should have to listen to when you arrive. Got our order wrong and had to be reminded of what we had. After we got round to our drinks the hot chocolate was cold. During our drinks we had to listen to more complaints about her job whilst there was a line of customers waiting to be served. Our food orders were just left on a table next to customers at the till where anyone could have touched or taken it. I think more training is needed on customer service

I love Costa but the lady that served me today needs to find a new job. She shouldn't have any customer service role if she cant be polite and friendly. I understand it is hard to train staff and serve but I won't go in again if she is serving.

Came here after looking around the shops over Christmas, staff copped pretty well, all the spare tables were clean, we had our coffee upstairs and it was a lovely view looking onto Skipton, taken our children and had a baby chino for them and coffee and cake was nice

Located to the bottom end of town,I always try to avoid this as it is always busy,tables not cleared and difficult if you are disabled or have a a child in a pram.Although if you are lucky to find a clean table and a seat,then the coffee is good.

Worst experience of Costa. The set up is all wrong. Half a dozen people waiting for coffee not knowing where to stand. Just in the way of people. Coffee milk from cold frothed in less than 30 seconds. I knew it would be cold. Had to take both cappuccinos back. Air conditioning is blowing freezing cold when it's a cold rainy day. Really bad experience. Used to be a Starbucks customer changed to Costa. Starting to think these big brands aren't the best. May start to go to independents again.

I usually love Costa, but not today. The coffee was fine, but I don’t care for the barista handling the cup all round the rim instead of the handle - very unhygienic. Almond croissant was stale and fhe knife dirty, plus the tables were dirty and the trays need a good clean.

Stopped here for a quick coffee and tea while visiting Skipton. Coffee was hot and flavoursome, the mint tea was perfect! Had 2 cups of mint tea from the teapot. Cappuccino was £2.35, mint tea was £2.00
