Yi Pin in Hastings - Phone Number, Reservations, Reviews

We were recommended this place by a friend who gave it glowing reviews, so we thought we would try it. We ordered a delivery, which took longer than stated, then to our complete and utter disappointment the food was well below the standard expected. The sesame prawn toast was rubbery and very chewy, the duck spring rolls tasted stale, as did the rice. The Szechuan chicken was ok, the sweet and sour chicken had bone and cartilage in it and the person who ate it left the room to be sick, and unfortunately after that did not want to eat anymore; the chicken was also very grainy and had a strange texture and was also very chewy. The duck chow mien was below standard, the duck was overcooked and the noodles were very bland. It all seemed to have been frozen or left over from lunch time, reheated/nuked and delivered to us. All in all, we were very disappointed with the whole experience. It wasn't cheap either, although we did get a free bag of prawn crackers!

This is by far the best Chinese takeaway in hastings. Always fresh hot and delicious. We have had many a takeaway from here, and never disappointed. Good service and food . Thank you yi pin.

Good quality food. We've ordered a delivery quite a few times from them and always happy with the quality. More expensive for us than ordering from our favourite Chinese Takeaway in Kensington (London) - one of Britain's most expensive areas, so not the best value, but good food all the same.

After being 45 minutes late - chased them up. Fobbed off with it's out for delivery. It will be cold now I said. No it won't they said. If it is - ring us. Turned up eventually. Sure enough - stone cold. Rang them. Nothing we can do. Why did you tell us to ring up then? We'd like a refund. Can't give you a refund because you ordered through Deliveroo. Very rude and abrupt. Best part of 50 quid - threw most of it out. Never again. Avoid. Not worth 1 star but it's the least I could give.

I've ordered some bad Chinese meals in my time. In many cities, many times. It's in my experience the most hit and miss cuisine to order. So I ordered from Yi Pin with misgivings and quite low expectations... and I hit the jackpot. I've since ordered four times in the last month, and heres why: (1) Genuinely tasty food. EVERY TIME. Every dish has been good. Some have been amazing. Nothing has been sub par, not once. (2) Huge portions, EVERY TIME. And at really fair prices too, this is not an expensive place. This is real value for money. (3) Fast, hot delivery. EVERY TIME. No missing items, hot food, friendly delivery. I really can't fault this place, its honest, tasty, affordable, reliable... its a solid five stars. So much so that I wrote this review, and I'm never motivated to do stuff like this. The only downside to this place is they are going to make me fat, I'm getting addicted...

Have a dine in, small place but comfy, foods is good and big portions. Staffs is helpful and good service. First time here but is my father favourite spot. Will be coming back again

The food was good but I'll be honest, when we went in there to collect our order, the prawn/chicken/pork balls were under a tea towel on the counter and the rice and noodles were stored in washing up bowls on the floor... Probs not going to order from there again.

The one thing I missed about London was a decent Chinese in Hastings - now found one in Yi Pin! Absolutely delicious food, delivered early, really fresh and tasty. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
