Enjoyed a lovely meal. The food was delicious with plenty of choice. Our waitress, Lorna, was so friendly and really helpful. A very enjoyable experience.

Called in here for lunch whilst visiting Worcester. Received a warm and friendly welcome on arrival (possibly from the Manageress?), staff were polite and attentive, food was delicious.

Whilst staying in Worcester stopped here for a evening drink. Surprisingly, for a Friday evening it was quite quiet. The staff were polite and cheerful and the service good. Pricing was reasonable for this type of establishment in a city centre. An enjoyable rest & drink.

Chose from the 2 meals and 2 drinks from the 2 for £25 menu. Excellent value for money and really good sized meals. Staff very friendly and helpful. Felt as if we were valued. Food was lovely and well cooked and presented. Will come again.

We went to Ye Olde Talbot for a reunion of ex-Worcester College friends. The date was booked with Debbie at the end of May and as it was a large gathering she requested pre-booking main courses. This was all followed up very efficiently with an email confirmation. Took the food order in one week before the meal and were greeted by Lorna, the Manager, who showed us around the available spaces and made us feel very welcome. We chose a secluded area in the oldest part of the hotel. Very sensible in retrospect as it was the England Euro quarter final. On the night Katy looked after us and everything was perfect. The food was delivered promptly and everyone enjoyed it. The bar was packed with people watching football but we were undisturbed. A very enjoyable night out for the 16 of us and top marks for all the staff.

Just spent 4 days at Ye Olde Talbot. Wonderful. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. They welcomed us, with our dog, and made the stay so lovely. The food was delicious. Very good value for the money. The location was ideal for walks around the shops and around the river. The cathedral is just across the road and is beautiful. The rooms were quite shabby and need updating but very clean so come on GreenKing do right and put some money into this lovely hotel. We will be back. Thank you to all the wonderful staff

Lovely charcterful 13th century inn, right in the middle of town. We were lucky enough to get the room with the 4 poster bed (very comfortable) the only issue we had was the floor, as it leans to one side, and when getting out of bed to go to the bathroom, gravity pulls you to the left 🤣 I appreciate that you cant really do anything about it. Being a Green King, food was nice and we enjoyed a hearty evening meal there.

Went here for food as we were staying nearby and it was convenient and looked good. The menus say that food is served all day, however after purchasing drinks we were told that was an error and no food until 5pm. As we had plans later we had to leave our drinks and move on. A complete waste of money!

I very recently held my Fathers Wake here and Lorna and her team were absolutely fantastic. I was unsure on which venue to go with but as soon as I met with Lorna to discuss our requirements and to view the space I knew immediately that this was the right place. Lorna handled the situation with such sensitivity, really guiding us through the whole day and offering suggestions. She even requested a list of his favourite artists so that she could put a personal play list together. The food was great. Lots of options to choose from and all great quality. Lorna was really attentive and ensured that everything went smoothly. Such a welcome relief in already trying times. Definitely recommend. Hayley

Went for a meal we wanted to sit in the bar area , but was went down into the restaurant which isn't that nice . The service was terrible, and the food very overpriced and tbh not very good . Certainly won't be rushing back !

Only ever been to the pub here, so cannot speak for the accommodation, but, if the pub is anything to go by, I'm sure it's great to stay here. Been to this pub twice now, once at Christmas time when the Worcester Christmas Markets were on, and again yesterday. Both times we had, not only great food, but really good service too. Food always comes out quickly, and is delicious. Really enjoy going here, and it will certainly be one of my go-to places in Worcester from now on.

Lovely central location. Great for a weekend visit. We had a ground floor room, right next to the road, and on the Saturday night it was extremely noisy. Didn't help that the windows were locked in open position, but this was sorted, and windows closed for the following night. Room was comfy enough, the shower had brilliant pressure, and the room was warm. We had our dog with us too, and she was made very welcome. Just be aware the walls are thin, and the afternoon delights 😉 of the couple in the next room were for all to hear! Thank goodness we could go to the bar for a beer! We will be back 🙂

We have tea and coffee every Tuesday after our dancing session there are about 10 of us we all have a lovely time just having a chat and being able to meet up I have had Sunday lunch it was delicious it is worth going along give it a try it is in Kempsey near Worcester

I had 3 nights accommodation at this pub & couldn't fault anything. Breakfast (served between 7-9am) was included in with the price I paid & was of an excellent quality; I could definitely tell it was all really good produce. A huge shout out to one of the staff, Debbie, who's really on the ball with making sure everything is done properly & a super nice lady who's always friendly & smiling, which certainly makes your stay very pleasant. The lady in the kitchen cooking is Margo, I never saw her, but is great at getting all the food out in a timely manner & cooked to perfection. The Irish guy I met on reception at check in & a couple of other times in passing was nice too. I stayed in room 23 - it was spacious , had a nice comfy mattress so slept well, all quiet in there too so wasn't disturbed. The rooms, like the pub, have plenty of character and aren't all sort of corporate looking like you get alot of these days. Everything was all clean & tidy. Location is excellent, right next to town centre for shops & restaurants. Check out the beautiful cathedral opposite too. Highly recommended accommodation, I'll definitely book this place again next time I'm in the area. Thanks for everything & keep up the good work 👍

If I could give zero stars I would! My partner and I travelled over 4hrs to get to this place to find they had cancelled our room and not informed either us or the company we booked through. They had 2 rooms out of action for maintenance, one of which was the one we had booked. They didn't bother to tell us! They cancelled our booking and then tried to blame us for the mess up. Thankfully a manager who was only available on the phone got to the bottom of it. They informed us that there was a local Travelodge we could try......if I wanted a Travelodge I would have booked that and not this place!!!! Thankfully we managed to book somewhere last minute on the day and they were exemplary!! The place was ok to look at, the staff very unhelpful and had poor hygiene!! A shower and a toothbrush go a long way in customer service!!

This was our 2nd visit to the Ye Olde Talbot hotel. It is in a great location, opposite the Cathedral, river walks close by and with shops/pubs on it's doorstop. There is a NCP car park next door but we parked over the main road as it was cheaper. We had our dog with us which cost an extra £10 per night. The room was fine, the breakfast was great with choices and we ate in on two evenings. Food good. Staff were welcoming, pleasant and helpful. We'd be happy to go back for a third time.

Decided to eat here to catch up with family, we were greeted by Katy who was very polite, well presented and very friendly, the menu's were well laid out and didn’t feel cluttered like some places, ordering was easy and food didn't take ages to come out which was nice, during our meal Katy came to check everything was okay and to see if we needed anything else. Definitely coming back to eat here again soon!!!!! Thank you Katy for your hard work and dedication to your customers.

We have visited this pub before, but the experience yesterday 24/02/2024 was we feel bad. Cold in restaurant, very cold no heating on. Awarding winning steak and ale pie ? I must have had the vegetation option, if there was meat in it I didn’t find it, hunters chicken over cooked. Watching cook in kitchen with very dirty/ scruffy black t shirt on, there’s no way it got that dirty in 1 day disgusting. 1 positive staff friendly

Our latest visit this weekend (Saturday 17th Feb) was yet again really enjoyable. Katy our main server and another female member of staff were really friendly and made us feel most welcome. Shown to our booked table in the restaurant part, very attentive and efficient service. My Hunters Chicken and Hubbys Lamb Shank meals were well presented and very tasty. Bakewell Tart and Strawberry cheesecake deserts were equally scrumptious. My Stowford Press draught cider and hubbys IPA's on draught were kept well. Lovely atmosphere . Tables kept clean and cleared. Glad we had booked a table as most tables in the pub were taken. Thanks to Katy and other staff members who served us (and of course the chef for delicious food!) . We enjoyed our evening and hope to be back again soon .

Went into the olde talbot on the off chance on Saturday 17th Feb with my wife and decided to have some late lunch and we are so glad we did the service was fantastic as well as the food top notch and a big shout out to Lorna and the team very pleasant and welcoming

I came in at the weekend with my partner, was very understaffed but the young girl who served us was rushed off her feet she was doing an excellent job of trying to keep everyone happy, i think i heard her colleague call her lila. We had a lovely experience this is our second visit here in the last month both times great but both times very short on team, but great staff & food. we will be back again soon

Booked in quickly by a very friendly young lad. We had room 24 and it was very clean although the lighting wasn’t too good so the room was a bit dark. Comfy bed although only one bedside table which made it awkward in the night. Yes the bathroom looked a bit tired and required a lot of tidying up but again for a two night stay we were ok with it. Bar staff were very friendly as was the young girl who greeted us a breakfast. There is plenty of choice for breakfast and it was cooked fresh, well presented and very good. We would certainly stop again but the whole place needs a bit of a refurbishment.

Went here for a birthday treat, No staff in bar area when first went in found table in lower part of restaurant as music was quite loud, Then went back to bar area still no staff, spoke t a lady who was waiting she said the staff member was dealing with a query she had. by this time my wife had come into the bar and said we could not sit in the lower area and we had to find another table which we did as the bar was not that busy. the staff member came back after about 5mins. we then had to wait while she finished with the other customers complaint. we had by then chosen what we wanted to eat, and went to the bar to order the food, we asked for two lamb shanks only to be told that there was only one available. so then chose an alternative meal for me. Katy was very apologetic about the lamb shanks and was very good. she brought us our meals which were well cooked, we ordered desserts we both wanted the same apple and black current crumble, we were then disappointed again as there was only one crumble had to choose another dessert which was Bakewell tart both with custard. katy brought us the desserts, which were both Lukewarm. The custard came in jugs this also was Lukewarm and had formed a skin on the top of the custard, after we had finished our meals Katy came and asked if everything was ok, I explained about the desserts being Lukewarm and how I was disappointed that we had at to change our order on both the mains and desserts. She said that she was sorry that we had not enjoyed our meals and she would pass on the comments to the kitchen and would go and talk to the manager. again after about 5 mins she had not returned to us and was not in sight. we left feeling let down with my Birthday treat.

Visiting Worcester on a coach trip for the Christmas market. Called on the off chance for lunch and were lucky to get a table for two. Staff very friendly and welcoming, our waitress was particularly so. Ordered two coffees, a fish and chips and a chicken burger and chips. Both meals were delicious and very filling. Nicely presented too. Our only concern was the coffee was not very hot. Highly recommend Ye Olde Talbot and will definitely return.

The breakfast has to be one of the best I’ve had , not only for choice but the quality and presentation was exceptional

On Sundays in England, it's roast day! We reserved the night before for 1pm Sunday (if you're too late in the day, it's sold out). Laila was our waitress and she was so nice. The meal was huge - large slices of roast beef, potatoes, large Yorkshire pudding, veggies and a sausage dressing wrapped in bacon. Lots of gravy and the most delicious horseradish I've had. We all had roast beef, but turkey, pork and a vegetarian choice were all on the menu.

We came in on saturday to book a table for 4 on sunday, we do coke here often, we were booked for 1.30 & requested table 7, on arrival lorna the manager sat us down, the restaurant filled pretty quickly & it was very busy, lorna offered us more drinks throughout our meal, 2 of us had desserts, she offered us teas and coffees we sat there for the best part of 3 hours & even though busy we were not rushed or moved on. we had 4 roasts and they were wonderful.
