We took friends here last year and had an amazing meal. Decided to go back. Food was rather dry with very little gravy on the Sunday roast. Parsnip was a little under cooked. Staff were friendly enough but not the best food and probably won’t return.

Just popped in for a quick drink as we were inquisitive about who Paul Pry was - apparently a fictional character. They had a decent selection of beers but the barman was unsure about the whiskies. Cosy in side but the fire wasn’t throwing out mush heat.

Visiting the swan theatre in the area and this is Great little quirky pub to stop off at and is 5-10 walk away. In this pub it's got a Good range of unusual beers and nice tasting too. Food very good, we had chicken wings to start and smash burger as a main. Very nice I must say. Staff are really really nice and very friendly. I will be going back. As I personal preference I did find the starter a little heavy on my stomach before my main but that's just me. Maybe next time ill try something else. Nice place and well worth a visit

Didn't have any food so ,can't comment. Very nice friendly atmosphere on a globally warmed, cold and wet summer day !?!?. Had a nice refreshing pint of Dortmund beer a malfey gin and tonic and a huge pile of salted nuts. It all came to £11 something, excellent value for money and like I said earlier, a characterful, welcoming and warm traditional pub. Staff were also very warm, pleasant and welcoming. Best Sunday lunch you will get anywhere, ever. Even homemade won’t beat this. Nothing needs to be changed & am not sure it could be improved. Went for my Birthday on 7th July. Had many Sunday lunches in my 63 years and none can beat this. Worth every penny. Good beer as well. Surroundings are eclectic and interesting. Lovely service by lovely servers…….worth saving up for, you wont be disappointed. Not tried their week day menu yet so can’t comment on that just yet.

I have sampled both beer and food at The Paul Pry. Had heard of their excellent roasts, but sadly it did not happen. Until today! Loved the lack of starter and the focus on the roasts. I went with Pork Belly...with that you got great roast potatoes, saudagemeat, half a baked apple, a bed of leek and carrot, greens, and a yorkshire. Plus a wonderful side of cauliflower-broccoli cheese. Perfection...and suitable cutlery too. The service was excellent, the beer was great, and went with the dessert as not sure I'll make it back again. All I csn say is: get there while you csn!

OK, never (knowingly) even been past this Pub but seen the reviews and thought it would be well worth going here for Sunday Lunch on the last day of the year as we were in Worcester for the New Year. How right we were! Called the day before as we walked around to find it and it said "Booking Essential" outside. Only times left were 12:30 or 4:30 (and we thought 4:30 might be a bit late to be eating prior to the NY celebrations) so booked in for the early session. Would have preferred 2pm but will make sure I book earlier than the day before next time! Having sampled some of the fine Beers the day before we went for a Stout and a Pale Ale and ordered the lunches. I had Belly Pork and Apple and my wife went for Beef and Onion. Decided we didn't want any extra's and stuck with the Veg supplied. Both lunches arrived with Yorkshire Pudding, roast potatoes, parsnips and carrots and a bowl of cabbage as well. The Pork had stuffing and the Beef some shredded beef as well. The Belly Pork was a large slice, a nice layer of fat and crispy crackling. It simply melted in the mouth, a real treat. The Beef was plentiful and done to perfection for my wife as she had ordered it a bit more well done than the pink medium rare version advertised. Well, what a treat. Enjoyed it enormously. Not the cheapest but well worth the money. My only complaint? As a pudding man how am I supposed to have room after a plateful like that? Had to forgo the Sticky Toffee Pudding I'd marked out from the menu. Will definitely be back.

We ordered the Paul Pry's Christmas Dinner for 8 of us - we had never dined there personally so it was a bit of a risk... however we had heard some great reviews. Firstly, the service received during booking and then on collection was fantastic - great communication and very pleasant and cheerful. The food itself was sensational - we had a garlic and herb chicken with stuffing, it was dressed beautifully, and the herbs were a fresh paste, the stuffing was super tasty too. The beef wellington was outstanding, lovely and generous in size and beautifully made. All the accompaniments were fab! What made it even lovelier were a few little touches - a christmas card from the team, and a gift of a meat probe and pastry brush, all festively wrapped up for use as part of the instructions. Thank you to Amy and all the team for making our Christmas Dinner so special!

We've given this pub a lot of custom over the past few years, and visited again this weekend. Lucky enough to get the last available table , sat drinking our drinks intending on spending the rest of our evening drinking here. Then along comes a female member of staff , without a word or even looking at us, slapping 'reserved' signs down on both our table and the table next to us and walking off. No-one had mentioned whilst serving us that the table we were sitting at would be needed in a while. With no other tables available for us we had to then leave after finishing our drinks. I've always recommended The Paul Pry to visitors to Worcester , as it's always been our favourite pub in town over the last 8 years. But afraid if that's the way they treat loyal customers we won't be visiting or recommending in future.

This pub is a great place to enjoy a convivial drink in a cosy bar with traditional original architecture, bar, fittings, etc. The entire establishment is kept very clean with comfortable seating, an open fire and a very welcoming atmosphere. The bar staff are always friendly and there is an excellent range of ales/beers. There is a dog friendly policy and on each of our visits, the customers themselves have always been welcoming and friendly. There you is a separate dining room and the food is truly excellent. It is all home-made and nutritious. Prices are reasonable and service excellent. All in all this is a place to visit. booking for an evening meal is recommended, although do note that the kitchen is not open every day of the week. Visit their website.

This is one of Worcesters hidden gems. We went on a Sunday afternoon for Sunday lunch and this place certainly is a must visit. You do need to book as only open a few days a week and is highly popular. We booked a few weeks in advance and know at the date of posting this in November because of Christmas they are booked until January. This has several items on the menu but the food is superb as is the service. One of our party had the roast beef, one had the roast pork and two had the nut loaf. The whole meals were brilliant, all came with huge Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, parsnips and carrots. A separate dish of cabbage and we also had a side dish of broccoli cheese that was enough for the four of us. We didn't have room for dessert but we did see some and looked outstanding. If you want somewhere different we can certainly recommend a visit here. No car parking on site but we parked Hive car park and it was a 5 minute walk to the entrance.

Last Friday we celebrated our father’s life at a private party at The Paul Pry. The event was overseen by Alex and Elly. As one gets on in years, one attends more and more funerals and wakes, so we are becoming seasoned campaigners. The management of the event was exemplary and the food provided was nothing short of extraordinary. Every one of the fifty plus mourners rated this the best wake they had ever attended, and some have attended many. All food presented on the buffet was homemade and freshly prepared, with both modern and traditional items served with flair and imagination. The scotch eggs were universally praised as the best anyone had ever had, with all in awe at the fact that every one of them had a slightly runny centre! There were countless other delicacies that pleased the palate. The open bar was obviously popular, but this was managed efficiently and effectively by the team. I would not hesitate to recommend The Paul Pry as a venue to celebrate someone’s life and this sentiment would be whole heartedly supported by all those present for the event.

I only go for the quiz. I've been going for a few years to this pub. It was refurbished about 10years ago, but it's now looking very tired and needs more investment. The toilets are awful, and need a full refurb, the bar is OK, but the flooring is uneven and has some hardboard down where there is clearly a problem. There are better pubs in Worcester now. The food is average for pub food. It's not fine dining.

Went here for our wedding anniversary meal. My husband's steak was fine. My vegan pasta dish came with normal parmesan cheese on ( I am checked it was vegan before I ordered and it clearly stated vegan on the menu), replaced with weak bland tomato soup with pasta in, that was taken away and replaced with the other vegan option of burger and chips. Picked the burger up and it literally dripped a pool of oil/water onto the wooden board it came on. No sauce dressing which it said on the menu. The waiter and manager were very polite and professional. Chef needs retraining or sacking! I ended up with a Tesco meal deal in the hotel room. Avoid if vegan
