Food took nearly an hour to come out, and plate was so hot it burnt one of the groups hand. That said the food was tasty and the service was friendly

Place doesn't deserve 1 star or business, after a hectic day, with our 7, 5 and 12 week old, we stopped for an evening meal. We picked a table with plenty of room so we could put a pram, told we can't sit there as it blocked the way for wheelchair access, if we can't sit somewhere how can a wheelchair. They offered for us to sit outside, which is not practical with a tiny baby. Not family friendly very disappointing.

Food decent, but 40 mins wait time, which i thought was too slow. Other than wait time, very happy.

After a botched delivery due to Just Eat the staff where extremely helpful in rectifying even though it wasn't their fault. We recently discovered Lyppard Grange and with the food and the service we have received, I highly recommend them. I didn't get the name of the person that helped but I just want to thank them again.

I would say it was comparable to a Wether spoons pub. The food was good. The only gripe I had was that we went there on a Groupon gift of two sizzling meals but we're only allowed to choose the cheaper dishes.

The salmon was perfect! Greta was very helpful!

This was a completely different experience to my last visit when we waited over an hour for our meal. This time, however, the meal arrived within (approx) 15 minutes plus it was piping hot and delicious. Excellent service.

I had lunch with my parents today, two burgers and tandoori chicken. It was delicious! The pub was busy so it took a while but it was worth the wait. Staff were so kind, my Dad had hardly got half way across the bar and they sorted out his drink!

Never fails to disappoint. Visited against my better judgement as we had to be back at the school next door for 5.30 so we came as a family to save going home and back again. Placed food order and the server didn’t listen and got the order wrong in multiple ways. No apology and blamed us. Sent the steak back as it was rare and we ordered medium - well done. Came back and it was overcooked and dry. Toilets are really disgusting. Staff don’t moderate the loads of adult men swearing in front of all the children in here. Staff don’t apologise for mistakes and are generally inexperienced and unhelpful or just unwilling to help. And the amount of staff letting the dogs lick their hands but not washing hands after and serving drinks and food. Last week they wouldn’t accept staff discount despite working for a sister company because they couldn’t process it on the till. If it wasn’t so convenient next to school we wouldn’t come. I don’t understand how this place would ever pass a random inspection.

Visited the pub tonight (Tuesday 28th) at 6pm, the place was very busy but the food was served quickly and hot! Excellent food and plenty of choice. The staff were amazing very efficient and very friendly - I had trouble with the app and they were very considerate and helped me and explained how to work it! 40% off can’t go wrong really! I had a steak and it was cooked to perfection, my partner had a burger and he really enjoyed it, the toilets could do with an upgrade but overall that doesn’t bother me too much. The pub is dog friendly but they keep an area clear from dogs which I think is good - the staff are very accommodating to people with dogs and offer water and always say hello to the pups and always wash their hands after which was very reassuring! This was my first time visiting and I will happily visit again!

On this latest visit, Wednesday 22nd January 2025, we interacted with Victoria, Liv and Greta, and all three of them went out of their way to make us feel we were valued customers, whilst offering highly efficient customer service. Thank you to all of you, you are a credit to my amazing local... We had a great evening.

Popped in for lunch one day last week had 2 meals for £11.50, food was lovely and hot, staff was friendly too, we're going to go more often

Arrived @1020 am & ordered 2 works baps. food arrived @ 1055am & the place was empty.The sausages were black & un edible as was the bacon, & the bap was burnt. asked for a member of staff & said i would like a refund which they gave us. Would not go back, was told food was cooked on bbq style grill. No idea what this place would be like if it was busy.

Would need to visit again to write a full review and rate. Battered fish was cooked perfectly, but the portion of chips was on the small side. Does have some day time drinkers, which could affect atmosphere and enjoyment for some.

Great local pub with a varied menu and very good value for money. Managers and staff are all lovely and welcoming. Also, a good selection of vegetarian options and always helpful with any dietary requirements. One section of the pub is dog friendly including a "sausage for the dog" on request.

They seem to have atleast two managers. One of which is lovely but the other, not so much. The tall lady with the black hair who I believe is one of the managers is really quite rude. I’m a regular and come once a month and I’ve yet to have a good experience with her. She makes things difficult for no reason, for example I came to the bar to order food with my 3 month old baby and didn’t note my table number, she acted like she didn’t know the numbers and couldn’t serve me until I walked back to the table, noted the number and then came back to the bar to order (with baby) she has worked here for long enough so I find it hard to believe she doesn’t know the table numbers or have a chart of some sort. Also, I had a baby and she didn’t offer to look for me despite it being myself and two other tables in the whole restaurant. I honestly dread ordering when I walk in and see her at the bar. The other manager however is lovely, polite and seems to go down great with customers. Maybe the big woman with black hair could work on her attitude or maybe look for a new career that isn’t customer facing because she has a weird way of making you feel really rubbish.

Food was hot, lovely meal . Every one ate it . But to find a table was hard. As a table for 6 only had 2 people on and table for 4 only had 2 on . Put was loads of table for 2 with no one on . So we struggled to get a table for 4

Lyppard Grange has everything we look for in a pub - proximity, ambiance, good staff and the food, when it finally arrives, is excellent. But the wait for our food was 1.5 hours!

Fantastic service, bar staff was very helpful, the waitress with the septum piercing was particularly helpful!

Visited on Sunday, service was friendly and prompt. The food was lovely, one small observation ... the sausage and mash was a little dry due to insufficient gravy (appreciate 'prepared ') we did ask for extra but declined to pay an additional £1+. Other than that a very pleasant time was spent.

Lovely staff and food. Had a little mix up but this was sorted immediately. Hubby has an intolerance and we were notified that the chef was cooking things separately to ensure no cross contamination. There's a lovely path nearby to walk around as well. Loads of outdoor space too.

An absolute pleasure. Everything you could ask for as a local establishment to us as a family.the food and service have always been 100%. I have also personally made new friends while in this atmosphere. Very easy access for parking. Over all the staff made and confirm the experience for us as a family.

Fantastic local with a really great vibe. There are plenty of quality beers and wines on offer with good food options and very reasonably priced. A real gem of a pub and we love coming here regularly.

Went on fete day had a few drinks in the garden with friends , had chips that came out within minutes. Great service

The first time we went it was great, but the second time they were closed due to a power cut. The third time we booked a table for dinner at 8:45 and the kitchen was shut, so we could only have drinks. We think the website should have made it clear that we couldn't book for dinner at that time of day.

Got there at 6.30pm ordered straightaway,then despite chasing food didn't get it for an hour and a half and mine was luke warm..Also people were being allowed to vape even though it is a family pub with children.

OMG went for a evening with friends for a meal it was a 40% off but we ordered at 7 05 had to ask where our mea l was at 8 40 said it would be 15 mins told we could have a free dess as the had forgoten out order when it arrived chips were stone cold food was cooked so much the chicken was thsr dryyou could nor chew it and steak was so tough it made my jew ache i have brought better steak from ALDI alfull meal i dont know why we bother

Pretty bad. Waited 45 mins for food. When it came the sizzling chicken which I’ve had many times has shrunk to one tiny piece of chicken. I couldn’t believe it. Also there was no broccoli as advertised. And on a smaller plate. I won’t be going again

Went a couple of times whilst I was away and couldn't fault it. Visited 3 times and each time the food was delicious. Friday was a bit busier but was warned there was a wait so was worried. Yep it took about 40 mins for the meal but was not disappointed

I have been here lot of times and every time I leave with a smile on my face. The food is amazing and the ambiance is truly wonderful. The staff is polite and friendly. I miss the half roasted chicken though. Hope they add it back on the menu.

We've been on a few occasions, to eat with family and it's not overly expensive. The food is not bad for what we pay but anyone expecting al la carte, it isn't so you'll have to pay a lot more elsewhere. We had Xmas Day lunch there in December 2023. Not bad at all considering how very busy they all were there.

As seems to be the way these days, little in the way of a personal service, the expectation seems to be that you place your own order online and you're asked to pay a tip before you've experienced the service. The food was mediocre as you'd perhaps expect from a grill chain. The chilli is more like a sloppy bolognaise sauce with beans in it. It would have been nice if the chef had at least waved a chilli at it. The bits of steak that weren't gristle were very pleasant and the garlic bread was the star of the meal.

First time here and will be returning! The food was really tasty and the staff are so polite and helpful, we’re only 3 girls working on the Wednesday night we came in but all were lovely! - Didn’t get any names but all looked young! Was a bit of a wait on food but nothing to complain about as the food was delightful! Did hear a couple of tables complain about the wait/ food but the staff dealt with it really well in my opinion and it’s good to know issues are sorted promptly when they occur! I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and will be back to try more of the menu! We had the Mixed Grill and the Jerk Skewers I highly recommend both!

Service and food absolutely terrible! Waited an hour and a quarter for Mac ‘n’ cheese with bacon to arrive luke warm. Having been sent back returned microwaved to the hilt- could have done that at home. Duty manager said whilst walking away over her shoulder “sorry for the wait”- words escape me!!! No table check done, no care given. The team really couldn’t have cared if we were there or not. Being in a customer driven environment all I can say we wouldn’t have any if we treated people the same. For other customers to complain to us about it too is absolutely shaming surely? As it’s our local we enjoy the outdoor drinks but that’s it for indoors and food

Friendly staff. Unfortunately some of the locals were quite unwelcoming. Food was good but there were quite a few items missing from the menu. Fine for a quick bite but we won’t be returning.

Been to the lypards many times over the last 10 years, always been a nice local well priced pub and probably still is as I enjoyed my meal. But my 6 year old son wasn't too happy, is that it for my baked beans he asked? I have never seen such a small portion of kids baked beans in my life, it was served in a shot glass 😂. I will happily pay you an extra 10p if it means a kid can have a decent portion of baked beans with their dinner.....
