Popped in today for lunch and coffee was welcomed by a very nice young man who ran through everything for us our order was taken by another nice lady the pub was very clean and covid standards were high.

Every time I visit Ye Olde Cross Keys, the service just gets better & better. Nick and the team are doing a grand job in keeping everyone informed and safe. Our order was taken as soon as we sat down and our drinks arrived promptly. The fish and chips here is better than any fish n chip shop I’ve been too (and ive been to a fair few).Merry christmas to Nick and the team. Stay safe.

We always come to this pub when we are in the area visiting family. Food, drink and service are all great and nothing is ever too much and with the recent pandemic they seemed to have everything in place to make us feel safe. Our server Emma on this occasion was friendly and attentive. Will be back again soon

I have been to Ye Olde Cross Keys a few times this year and each time I felt VERY safe with all of the Covid measures in place, as well as very welcome by the brilliant team. The food has been consistently delicious as well as very reasonably priced. The new 'Bottomless Brunch' option is a must, I have been twice now and both times was really impressed with the food options and the service. Emma in particular has always been brilliant whenever I have visited - she is bubbly, super friendly and will always make sure you have a wonderful time.

Quick and courteous service from Louise and Emma, food was very nice and came to me quick and perfectly to order (a problem in a lot of places), can’t complain :)

Really glad we visited ... fabulous staff and food. We called in on a rainy day to while away some time before a scheduled visit at the famous Teddy Bear Shop. The landlord or head barman checked us in and we were served good quality wine and ales. The gent owner was a great character and was incredibly proud of his establishment. My husband and I enjoyed his banter and we would definitely visit again. We enjoyed a chicken sharer and chips which were very freshly cooked. It was warm and cosy inside and we watched as the rain turned into hail stones and were glad to be in such good company. Highly rate this lovely pub ! Xx

Meals and drinks. Service was prompt. An tasty food. Ordered two pints from there selection of beers. Scampi & chips. All hot and cooked to perfection. Staff were friendly and helpful. Need to try the full English and the Sunday roast next which look fantastic.

I bring my family here regularly for food as the chef, Ali, is amazing. The manager, Nick, is welcoming and funny, the assistant manager, Emma, is both professional and friendly. The whole team bring a smile to customers' faces and makes the visit well worth it. The Covid measures are kept to high standards, too!It's also an amazing place to work.I highly recommend visiting!

I came here for a Sunday roast with my husband and 2 children and I have to say that it was one of the best dinners we’ve had out in months! Everything was cooked perfectly, our food and drink came within 20 minutes of ordering and we where greeted by many helpful staff. Well done!

Right from the get go the staff kind and Courteous, very professional Excellent food and drink perfect for an exceptional wet day.

Nick was excellent helped me with the app giving 50% off as I was struggling. He was attentive and helpful throughout our visit. Good food and excellent value for money with the 50% off deal. Can also recommend the mango cider, delicious!

Had lunch at the Ye Old Cross Keys, excellent Covid protocol. Very friendly staff and explained how things worked. Both my wife and I had the beer battered cod, minted mushy peas and chips. All freshly cooked, lovely flavoured fish. Great place for lunch.

Had awesome full English, everything you'd expect for the price. Service is ace from the team. The system in place for safety is spot on and make it easy to enjoy as well.

What a lovely little cotswold pub. Right from outside it looks like a lovely little country pub, well maintained and looks very inviting. Walking in, you're greated by a lovely host, ours was Emma and she took us to a little table. We were told we could order at the bar or on an app, so we gave that ago. It was brilliant I didn't leave my chair once, and nick the manager was an absolute hoot. Talk about service with a smile! Nothing was too much trouble for nick, and his lovely staff. The food came out really quick, and it was absolutely amazing, I wouldn't have guessed this was a chain - it was food like mum used to make! Overall we felt really safe with all these new measures, the staff were wonderful and you can see why, with a lovely manager like nick. Thanks again will be back next time we're in the cotswolds!

So I love this pub the staff are lovely and the service is always spot on I had my first visit since the lockdown and I was impressed with the way it was run we came for dinner on a Monday 3 adults and 2 under 5s there was not a kids menu on the new disposable menus but after talking to the staff they showed me all the kids options over all fab food atmosphere and service

“Nick the manager” is hilarious, super welcoming and incredibly considerate towards patrons and staff. Exactly the type of guy every pub needs. We plan on coming back soon despite not living very locally.

What a wonderful pub! Popped in for a bite to each with friends and was pleasantly surprised by how welcoming all the staff were. The food came out super quick and was delicious! The host (Nick) was super informative and made us all feel at ease. Very impressed to see they had a member of staff who’s sole job was just to clean and keep up safe. We had such a lovely visit and really hope to pop by again soon. Once again big thanks to Nick for making it a memorable visit!

We have been coming here for many years as our local, I can honestly say I have never been more welcome anywhere that I have every been. I am originally fromBirmingham and nick especially the manager has gone above and beyond to make me feel like family to this establishment. This is a one of a kind place! X

1st time visitor to Witney and popped in here whilst doing some shopping. Greeted by Nick, who I think was the manager, and he outlined the necessary covid regs. Stayed for a few pints and snacks and used the app to order with quick table service by the friendly staff. Had a slight problem with one of the online orders but they resolved it straight away, no dramas at all. I’ll be around for a few more weeks and look forward to revisiting this bar!!Ps loved how dog friendly they were too!

We booked here the other day as a family member had come to visit and thought we would take him out for some food. We got there and was given a menu which was very limited. Not only was there very little to choose from but then soon became even more limited as we were then told they had no burgers.(which is what we wanted) we then chose the chicken starter and ham and eggs. The lady came over and asked if we wanted any sauces. To then be told they had no vinegar and very limited sauces available. Whilst waiting for our food a table near us was sneezing everywhere with no desire to put his hand or tissue to his face to catch it. When in these Circumstances made us feel a little on edge. After nearly waiting over an hour for our food, bearing in mind one was a starter.. we decided we didn't want to wait any longer and asked for a refund and left. Very disappointed in our first experience dining here and don't think we will dine here again.

We visited this pub on a Sunday evening with our two children for dinner. We were greeted warmly, the COVID measures were clearly explained.Our two children were made to feel very welcome. Great choice of food, well presented and delicious. Nick, the manager, was very accommodating, friendly and very helpful as a tour guide! All the staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for us.We visited again for breakfast to shelter from the wind and rain and once again greeted very warmly by Louise. She was fantastic with the kids, friendly, helpful and funny. We would definitely recommend this pub if you are looking for a good atmosphere, delicious food and a friendly team.

My partner and I like to visit the Cotswolds every summer and we usually stop by in Witney. We visited the Ye Olde Cross Keys last August and thoroughly enjoyed it. However, our recent drop by was quite below par. The toilets were dirty. No locks on the gents or ladies. Some of the clientele were swearing around childrenWe ordered food at the bar. However, the waiter brought us the wrong food as we had asked for starters first. When asked about this he seemed to be too busy to deal with our request. The man behind the bar promptly refunded our starter and was understanding. But overall not a great experience. Will probably not be visiting again.

Always been a good hostiliery, but one which has gone through numerous changes. New management makes it feel more welcoming. Nick is open and friendly with wit and humour. I'd recommend it. 👍

I went into the cRoss keys in witney for a bit of lunch the food was excellent but the staff was very rude it was the lady behind the bar she was like it to everyone I'm in catering for 35 year and I would not speak to a customer like that

Went here for something to eat and a few beers, absolute quality chicken burger and a great pint! All the staff were amazing! Had a great crack with nick the manager. Thoroughly recommend !!!

The keys is a really good pub for food and drink, the staff a really friendly and helpful especially clodagh she always greets you with a smile and is always happy to help.

Me and my partner are both enjoying a week off, so decided to eat out somewhere each day. So far we have eaten at three different pubs, but nothing comes close to the perfection to this place. Cheap and amazing quality. I highly recommend.

Nice friendly staff, some clientele a bit rough though, some swearing we really didn't want to hear that loudly from youngsters who were clearly locals. 2 people came in with own food then sat down & ate, then left! 4 of us had 1 drink & some food which was very nice then we left.

Great service for when we arrived , polite and friendly Staff the manager was excellent making sure everything was running well , the food And drinks was good and didn't have to wait for to long for the service.

I went for a quick pub lunch and was pleased to find that as a coeliac my only option wasn’t just a jacket potato...until I found out they had no more gluten free bread so I ended up with the potato anyway. The barmaid, Rhiannon, was very knowledgable on my options though and did offer alternatives but I’m also fussy which isn’t her fault. She offered very fast service with a smile. Will definitely return in the future.

Visited this week for some drinks. Staff were friendly and efficient and the place was clean and organised given the current climate. Shootout to out extra helpful and kind server Rihannon who made us feel super comfortable as it was our first time visiting a pub since lockdown. Will be returning.

Called in for food with friends, easiest meal to make, and it was a disaster. Did get a full refund and barmaid couldn't apologise more. Wouldn't eat here again, staff were friendly and a good pint, but food last night was terrible. spoiled a good night out...

Best pub in Witney by far shows all the sport and the roast dinners are to die for Nick the manager is friendly accommodating will bend over backwards to make his guest feel comfortable all round great pub well done nick and team we will be back

Bringing my friends here is a delight - they love the character of the place and they always have a laugh with the staff there.

Popped in on a Wednesday lunchtime for a bite to eat before going to the cinema. There was a nice buzz about the place. Service was very friendly and helpful, and our food arrived in good time. It was only a toastie and chips for me, but it really hit the spot, and the chips were piping hot. The prices are good with some very good lunchtime offers, and a surprisingly large vegan selection. My wife had the vegan sourdough open sandwich which could have been a little warmer, but she really enjoyed it. A warm friendly welcoming pub, ideal for a cold February day.

Great menu, absolutely love the fish and chips. Portion sizes are excellent. Always leaving very full up and satisfied. Lovely gin selection, especially the gins. Only gutted, that they’re not doing the ‘chases’ gratefruit gin anymore. But I’m more than willing to try others. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The blonde girl behind the bar always very smiley and helpful, believe her name is Rihanna. And it’s also kid friendly which is great! Haven’t had one bad experience, couldn’t have asked for a better place.

Myself and a friend popped in here recently. We were just passing through and someone in a shop close by recommended Cross Keys for food.

Despite living locally for many years I'd never entered the Cross Keys. However on the 5th of this month i found myself stood at the bar.

Great pub with a great atmosphere. Always a very friendly welcome and table service from Louise who is very eager to help, all apart of the service. Lots of locals are always in here which speaks for its self. The food is excellent for the price and very good value for money. So if you’re walking past don’t hesitate to pop in, I’m sure you’ll be back.

Was in for a few evening drink wasnt gunna come out but so glad I did with his witty banter and great customer service what a giggle we had I will be back again tomorrow night

this was our first visit here, found the menu to be very limited. i went for the chicken and mushroom pie, pastry wasn't fully cooked and veg either over cooked/under cooked maybe all cooked at the same time?

First time eating there since its changed management, food was hot and tasty (just like the manager) didn't have to wait long either. Always friendly and takes time to talk to customers and is brilliant with the little ones! Will be going back, great job guys.

Last minute decision to have a bite to eat in the cross keys, was quite busy but was served in good time and wasn’t left waiting. Manager took time to talk to us and made us feel very welcome. Food was hot when bought out, good amount of food, well worth the money. Will definitely go back.

Came in today for a late breakfast with my husband and daughter my husband had the full English great value for money £3.49 and was well cooked and presented my daughter had bacon egg sandwiche and I had toast 2 coffees and a tea all for under £15 place was lovely and clean service was excellent will definitely visit again.

The keys is a good place for food and drink all the staff are amazing and especially when Ali is cooking I have never had a bad meal there when he is in kitchen all the staff are so friendly, helpful and very polite there is a amazing range of spirits especially gins which is my favorite to drink I would visit again and I would even have a family meal there too

Although we hadn't been back in some considerable time, we popped in for food and drink on a busy Friday night. There were six of us and we managed to get seats in the restaurant area. The place always strikes me as being quite dark, but it isn't a downside - it has some ambience. Even though it was busy, the staff were attentive, polite and professional. We were served by Jack, who was really friendly and in fact helped us by showing us allergen information for one of my friends. He managed to find a table for us and provided more than satisfactory table service. There was a mix up in one of our orders, but the aforementioned staff member replaced our meal very quickly and apologised for the wait. The food was very reasonably priced, yet piping hot and very tasty (something we all agreed on). We were very happy with our visit here and we will be coming back again, just maybe not on a Friday night next time.

As an employee here, I love it. I work with amazing and hard-working people - Emma, Jack, Jacqui, Laura, Ali, Rhiannon, Natalie and of course, Nick - which make each shift wonderful to work.

We've been coming here as a family for the past 3 years and I don't think we've ever been let down by this pub. The place has gone through drastic changes throughout those times such as a refurb and new management, but it never faulted us once. We are always greeted and served by the younger barman who has been working there since we've started coming here (unfortunately, I didn't get his name). He is always professional, remembers what we drink and treats us with respect. Props to him.

Have been coming to this pub on and off for a few years. Since the manager Nick and his team - Louise, Jackie, Jack, Rihannon, Natalie, Emma and Ali have been working together the pub has a a different atmpsphere. It is a warm and welcoming place to come and meet friends and have a drink or come for a dinner with the family. Always smiling and efficient staff who are more than happy to have a chat with the customers coming in making your visit feel more personal.

This is my local sadly over the last year or so it’s lost it’s spark but it has been just been taken over by a guy called nick and it’s improved 1000% food is always amazing and always consistent (I am there 2+ times a week) the staff are so friendly and offer amazing service it’s so so if u want a quiet drink or a lovely great value meal this is the place to go. Myself and some friends came to the Cross Keys for lunch the other day, after a busy morning of shopping. We decided to have a naughty glass or 2 before we headed back out and ended up staying for a few more and something to eat.

Went on the off chance and wasn’t disappointed. Good food at a very reasonable price. We had the Full English breakfast. Really good. Friendly staff and great service. Will definitely visit again.
