A really lovely cosy little place. Very clean and well decorated. Staff are very welcoming and attentive. The food is absolutely out of this world! Definitely a cut above the rest! Plenty of seating and a lovely outdoor area. Also more than enough TVs for any special events. 10/10 would recommend

Booked a table for football. Great. Then was told David was doing food. Myself and a friend ordered the coach burger. Wow burger was great. Came with chips, salad, onion rings which were huge and homemade coleslaw. Was amazing. Will be back for more. Well done.

Never in my life have I met such rude barstaff who were more pissed than the punters drinks way overpriced and was expecting to see a live band as advertised instead we had a geriatric man who was half asleep while singing all the oldies squashed dancing into each other it was like an oap night out Tuck the box that we went but never again avoid at all cost

Hay una buena variedad en el menú y es excelente, especialmente en los precios cobrados. Gracias Ye Old Coach y caballos. Hasta pronto.

...once. Unfortunately those days are gone. The exterior is still old fashioned country pub, rather incongruous in Northfleet admittedly but none the worse for that, and draught Hobgoblin is always welcome, but no nuts or scratchings and a choice from a multipack of crisps being the only food available did not bode well. The 'entertainment' that evening was a DJ and Karaoke, hmmmm.

We had a fabulous dinner at Ye Olde Coaches & Horses Inn! A picture perfect English pub. The owner Sharon was so helpful and accommodating and made us feel right at home after our long journey from Vancouver, Canada. I was tracing my ancestors roots who had lived on The Hill area from the mid 1600's. Sharon, went into great detail explaining the history of the area and details of the old pub. All in all a fabulous experience and great pub food too! I'd highly recommend!

I have come here a couple of times now with family - a lovely traditional homely feel pub. The only thing that I find strange is that they don't have any paper menus! After you sit down, the waitress comes over and tells you what the choice of foods is that day?! You're expected to take it all in - which is a little overwhelming and off-putting! Don't get me wrong, the choice of starters and main courses are great - its just a little strange that don't get a couple of minutes with a menu to make your choice! When we went today it wasn't especially busy but I couldn't help and notice that service seemed to be a quite slow. My mother ordered the steak and stilton pie which she said was lovely and I ordered the roast gammon... It was beautifully cooked and had lots of trimmings, although they did provide lots of vegetables (brought over in separate dishes) most of which had to be wasted - a little silly really seeing it was only me who ordered a roast lunch! Overall, I would be very happy to visit this restaurant again as the food was delicious, but think maybe paper menus might be a good idea?

Wasn't sure what to expect when passing but called by for a quick pint. Was welcomed with a smile and two enjoyable drinks. As we'd already eaten then we didn't try the food but with the previous reviews then I wouldn't have had a problem doing so. A lot of character to the place and it looked like a good local, for the people of northfleet.

We have been visiting this pub regularly since the new landlady Sharon took over. I have never seen such an amazing transformation in any pub- from a pub you would run past to a pub that is welcoming, friendly and holds those good old fashioned values that many pubs seem to be losing these days. It now has a great range of real ale and good wines but most of all the food is home cooked, great value and just amazing. Nothing is too much trouble for Sharon who has worked so hard to knock this pub back into shape and bring out its true historic character and atmosphere. We celebrated a birthday here on Sunday and the roast dinners were amazing with a variety of meats - all beautifully tender and up to eight different vegetables. Starters were tasty too - we had a lovely fish cake with crab accompanied by chilli sauce and another of the party had a delicious prawn cocktail. The meal could not be faulted.Every time there is a seasonal event like Easter, Hallowe'en , Christmas, St George's day you will find the pub beautifully decorated and celebrated. It is always a pleasure to visit at any time of year and you are always made to feel welcome. This is how all pubs should be. Do not expect to see a television or games machines but do expect to fall in love with this pub ( and maybe see the ghost of Dick Turpin!!).

Right let's start by asking you to believe all the good reviews on here and not the unfair description left by the previous reviewer.Since the new Landlady (Sharon) took control of this quaint Public House, she has worked tirelessly to turn it into a place where you can expect the warmest of welcomes and beautiful real home comfort cooking. There is no Television, no Juke Box, just really good background music so you can enjoy a meal a drink and a good chat.I booked a table for ten for a birthday meal and we could not have been looked after any better, Sharon put us in a lovely room which makes you think your dining in days gone by with beautiful set tables and there is even a life size model of Dick Turpin ( so a great photo opportunity)The menu has a great choice of Starters, Main Courses & Deserts and at the most realistic price. My father is the most fussiest eater you would ever wish to cook for, when we told Sharon her reply was no problem we will cook his vegetables separately and true to her word my dad loved his meal which meant we could all relax and enjoy ours lol. There is also a nice selection of Real Ales if your a beer enthusiast. Also look out for posters in the pub telling you of special nights that are arranged. So if your looking for a place to eat please give this lovely old pub a visit and ask for Sharon you will be well looked after.

Worst place ever to try to visit after a long week off. Pop in in the place with no electricity because was cut off early in the day for dunno know what...People we are in 2015 can open without it and then one old guy was trying to sell us some sort of drugs outside the pub.. what a shame.

The other half and me seem to be slowly becoming regulars here despite having to walk past two Pubs to get to the C&H. It is lovely what Sharon and her other half are trying to do with the place especially after it was closed for so long. This review is prompted by a family do we had there yesterday for my other half's Nan's birthday. We hired out the private room at the back and 15 of us (including 4 kids) hada lovely 3 course meal and a cracking afternoon. I can't say how much it cost but we must have been on a special rate as it was ridiculously reasonable

I have been to this pub on several occasions and it is a friendly inviting atmosphere. The log fire adds to the warm feeling of hospitality that is genuinely displayed by the staff. The food is always excellent value. This Mother's Day a three course meal for £10 per head was the offering.the staff were kept extremely busy from the punters that took up the offer. No where can you get better value and quality for the price.A nice touch was a flower gift for the mothers.Superb little pub.Well done to the fantastic turn around for a lovely pub.

Rob the manager, goes from strength to strength . It seems to improve every time we visit. Due to our friend having a well behaved baby we had reserved a table in the large garden for 5. Never done so before , so did not know about the different rules that apply . No waitress service , order at bar ,fetch your own cutlery ,serviette. Then the menu is totally different from inside . As an an OAP I was oblivious to this . Was a little perturbed but Rob sorted it out getting us a nice table inside, such a professional and huge asset to the owner. Food ordered and in no time arrived well cooked presented and tasty. Quite an admiral achievement when busy and we all had different dishes too. Asking the bar maid whether the Amstel lager was genuine Dutch import ,she said , I don't know , but it tasted ok. Families and parties were welcomed and catered for . Bouncy castle and huge out door tv . our son enjoyed several Euro matches their recently too. Will return as soon as possible , pension permitting . Large car park .

Sunday lunch was dismal, ran out of pork belly and chicken, the carrots tasted of star annis and the roast potatoes were just about the worst that I have had in any pub, they really need to up their game, will not eat here again, a waste of money Bristolfoodcritic

I've been using this place for decades. It's not often i use bakeries, but this is my go to place whenever i get a craving for a crusty ham roll with lettuce and onions, always fresh food, never had any issues on that front. Once or twice in the past I might have and a grumpy server, I've not let that put me off tho, we all have off days. And I've seen other comments moaning about prices. Cost of living I'm afraid, I think we can all agree that prices of pretty much every single thing we consume have shot up in the past couple of years.

A lovely place to meet up with friends. Freshly made sandwiches and coffee. The cakes all looked lovely too. Service was very friendly and quick. Space to sit outside too, if the weather is fine. Would recommend you give it a try.
