Great place nice food and a fair price

Popped in for our usual weekly fish and chips usually very nice today it was incinerated, wife's small fish was overcooked and the size of a fish finger l had large fish which was curled up and overcooked same as the chips. Hopefully this is a one off

A lady came and asked the first time if we had finished our food, my partner did I said not not yet so took his plate away. Then later she cane back and asked for my ID although earlier she already brought over the drinks, im not upset about the id part im upset that straight after I showed it to her she handed it back and took the plate away, there was still food and I had paid extra for more of it just to be quickly taken away. Very unhappy.

Good place for a quick drink or nibbles. Definitely good staff. Good ales on offer and more in fridge. Plenty of space for seating inside and out.

Unacceptable Service and Disrespectful Treatment. I am absolutely appalled by the experience I had during my visit to your establishment. I arrived at the till to place the remaining of my order, I did a partial order on the app and was going to order the remaining at the till as we usually make some small changes which cannot be done on the app. Only to be completely ignored by the staff at the till. I stood there for an unreasonably long time, while other customers—both men and women—were served promptly. It was as if I were invisible. This kind of blatant disregard for a paying customer is absolutely unacceptable. To make matters worse, I tried to address my concerns with the manager, only to be met with a dismissive, sarcastic comment. The manager’s response suggested that they had been aware of my presence and the other were there before me, but I can assure you, that was not the case. I would strongly encourage you to review the CCTV footage to confirm this, as I was ignored entirely. This level of unprofessionalism is beyond disappointing, especially considering I have been a loyal customer who regularly visits with my husband and son. After this I decide not to order the remaining of our food at the till. I can no longer support an establishment that treats its customers with such disdain. The service has clearly gone downhill, and the place is now sinking, with filthy tables, rude staff, and a manager who seems to have little regard for customer satisfaction. I will not be returning, and I would advise your team to undergo some serious customer service training. It’s a shame to see what was once a good establishment fall so far. You have lost my business, and I will make sure to share this experience with others. This is no longer a place I would ever consider stepping foot in again.

Was early Sat evening, busy but staff were polite and happy to help.

It's a lovely pub- but gets very busy and as I have a disabled husband in a wheelchair - we have to arrive early to get a table downstairs - also the disabled toilet is downstairs and everybody uses it - it doesn't lock properly and people walk in

Doesn’t look much from the outside but it’s a lovely space on the inside. Wood panelled walls and an upstairs balcony area too. Came for lunch on Sunday and there was lots of seating but lots of the tables hadn’t been cleared from their previous occupants to had to clear and wipe down our own table. Food and drinks were excellent as always. Most of the puddings were unavailable in the app.

Been eating here for years but the food and service has gone downhill a lot. Drinks used to arrive before the food, but now I’m asking the servers where my drinks are. They used to approach you while you eat to check everything is ok but never do nowadays as they know it’s not. Chips are either undercooked or overcooked, steaks are gristly and the selection of sauces has dropped while the complimentary ones on the shelves are almost always near empty. The prices don’t reflect this though. They’re the only things that have increased. Also, you can no longer swap ice cream for custard. Try and remove one for the other manually and the app will still try and charge you for the one you removed. Will be eating at the goose from now on!

Crowd remains the same. It’s always really busy. Spoons is spoons so can’t complain if I’m honest. Food bangs, but all branches do. Good for reasonable priced food if in large groups

Pub is in a prime location in the high street and was exceptionally busy when we arrived around 1130 on Saturday morning. We struggled to find anywhere to sit but jumped on a vacated table for 4 that was full of plates & glasses. It took over an hour to be cleared but the 2 members of staff were flat out. Prices were typical for Spoons. Not a great atmosphere here. It's a real blokes pub with few families or females. A very mixed culture pub that can get quite loud at times. Number 92 for us & not one we would rush back to.

One of the best ‘pub vibe’ of a wetherspoons with the greatest carpet. The Pocock has a special place in my heart, used to drink there every weekend with various mates, had some proper messy nights and some nights to remember. First pub I had my first pint and first time doing sniff. Over the years I’ve been barred countless times but you can’t hate the Pocock. Truly the best pub in the world.

The ambient and cleanliness is good, spacious and doesn’t smell old carpet like some of the old pubs do. Some of the food items were good and some weren’t as expected.

The first ale I tried tasted okay as a sample, but not too good in the pint glass. No problems to swap for a Hobgoblin Gold. However, this wasn't as good as usual, so I opted for craftbeer in a can: one for £3.60 2 for £5.90.

Good local pub with cheap prices

Very great value for a restaurant, I must admit. And very lovely service.

I have been to many branches of Wetherspoon and so far I only found this branch knows how to do grill meats. Their mixed grills are fantastic, tender, soft and aromatic.

Good food at very reasonable prices. Limited catering for gluten free people but ok. Easy to order through the app at your table and the staff are helpful and friendly.

Food from the grill is so horrible burnt. The grill is very dirty and all the dirt you can taste on your steak and halloumi bleed very bad kitchen

Double entrance, quiet and cosy area upstairs to feast

Looks small from the outside but large on the inside. Loads of space and a garden. Didnt eat, just had drinks but the food looked good. Some amusing cheery locals added to the atmosphere of a proper old local pub despite it being a chain. Add to thus me having a friend with almost the same name as this pub, made the experience very pleasant. Sticky tables, standard for Spoons. Wouldnt be without them.

Much nicer than other Wetherspoon establishments visited in this part of the country. Clean and tidy on this visit with swift service when ordering via the app to the table.

Great value for food and drinks But annoying that I asked for a double absolute and received a vanilla absolute which I didn't ask for So I spoke to the server who intern spoke to the manageress who refused to replace the drink or offer a refund as they had no absolute vodka left only vanilla So I'm a mind reader as well I meant to know u only had vanilla Shocking customer service

Family meal with a 2 year old child. Very good dishes, hearty. Vegetarian and vegan dishes possible. Affordable prices and pleasant location.

Good food, reasonably priced, cheerful staff seating inside and out. Come here to have a good meal, a few drinks and a good chat.

I do enjoy a spoons and you get what you'd expect, can be messy and sticky at times but with a fast pace environment and cheep food and booze you get what you pay for

I went in today and got my table ready to order food, I was waiting at the bar and next to be served as there was only 1 other at the bar... 1 person was serving, 1 was putting glasses away, it was around 2.30pm, the lady that was putting away glasses then served a lady who appeared, even though I was next, the lady then starts taking orders for everyone else behind her, pint after pint... I tune around and now my table gas been taken as me being served was taking far too long.. . I worked for spoons for 4 years, and never does anyone I worked with ignore people at the bar, no acknowledgement or anything, just blatantly ignore me and serve your regulars it's OK, because you just lost a customer... goto the peacock, food is better and you get served whether regulars or not

Didnt eat here, just drinks ordered on app. Fairly quick delivery to table. No interaction from server. Atmosphere not helped by elderly lady on next table effing with every other word. Your average wetherspoons, would prob use again if in Gravesend.

I likes this pub was nice all round reasonably priced food was tasty and well done the staff had good manners I mean I got there bout 12 left around 8 me and my freind had bout 5 drinks each food and dessert only cost roughly 80 quid not bad for 8hrs

What’s up with the servers here? Their attitude is disgraceful lately. Feels like they’re having a bad day and they’re taking it out on the customer. I don’t expect to be given attitude when I’m not being out of line. You need to step up your game Wetherspoon.

The starf are grate not like the other spoons I've been in wear they would rather talk to each other than serve the customers and the food is very nice

Absolutely awfull mixed grill dry and flavourless. Chicken and bacon salad dry withered.wiill not eat there again.

Tried sausages and mash with onion and red wine gravy. Very bland, sausages and gravy lacked flavour and the portion of mash was tiny.

The curry was heavenly!! So delicious and the atmosphere was fantastic!! The staff were lovely and friendly. The food and drink options were top, especially for a Wetherspoons

Very large pub, there an upstairs also for eating. This is also a drinkers pub, which is separate to the eating area but all in all a good pub. As always, cheap beer, cheap food.

Standard Witherspoons. Normal mix of clients you would expect. Good layout. Clean tidy, toilets in good condition and clean.

Lovely pub , tried the app for the first time to get a drink and it worked , we had the Christmas dinner it was very nice , just one comment , had mash potato, sorry but Christmas dinner without roast potatoes, not good , but the rest of it was very nice

...One extremely popular warm... friendly family public house... really friendly staff and excellent food... If you love your tea or coffee then for £1.02 you can refill your cup from 08:00 till midnight... free wifi and somewhere to keep out of the cold... Fully recommended...

Unbeatable prices for quality food and drink. Only given 4 stars for service as sometimes there is a large time gap between receiving food and drink. Other than that, it's perfect.

Not the best spoons, a makeover is long over due

paid for drinks, sat down, had some food that was placed on the table that wasnt ours. before we could let the staff know, my mate had touched one of the chicken wings. knowing it couldnt be served after that, we ate some to prevent food waste. a lady in a blue dress came and took them off us, speaking to us in a very rude manner. I stood up to start going toilet when it feels like she intentionally tried to get in my way and even pushed a plate into my back walking past.

Others having a drink I wanted a coffee as I am the driver told no the machine is switch off yet still open for another already another hour

Quite frankly, a horrible filthy dirty pub. The toilets, particularly the disabled are an absolute disgrace, and you should be absolutely ashamed at the conditions you expect patrons to accept. TBH, you are better off staying at home than visiting this place.

What's not to like, For reasons known only to them, Left wing comedians deride it, but the spoons clientele are a lovely cross section of society enjoying great value and excellent quality. Very popular. Toilets got a little rundown but are now being refurbished.

We were served by Sam this past Saturday (26/08/23) and after accidentally putting the wrong table number on our order via the app, he searched the whole pub to find us and then delivered our food. He was very attentive, friendly and the food was spot on. Second time here and we have been very pleased both times.

Used to love the pocock but now it's getting really shabby. Gammon steak is more like bacon (thin), only sauce they have is pretty much ketchup, don't bother to cut your pizza and the normal steak is that tough it asked me for a fight outside. Will not be coming here for food anymore unless some serious changes are made

The grubbiest Spoons on the planet. Clearly never seen a cleaner in years. Four bites on my legs and a cheap bottle of Newcastle Broon Ale were the highlight.

Spoons is cheap and cheerful and you get what you pay for. BUT this Spoons is grim. Dirty from top to bottom. Everything is sticky, the tables are dirty and I don’t think the carpet has been cleaned since 1971. The pictures on the wall have food spattered on them and the toilets are grim. The best thing about this place is the door on the way out.

RIP wetherspoons. Going with your family now stopping warming up your baby food. Fair enough "company policy". Then go and grab some crayons none, fair enough no one orde in. Then the food comes and you can count 12 chips as a side of a burger lol similar in you fish and chips!! You tell your waiter to call the manager TWICE to show your plate, no one ever comes and when you realise the guy is in is brake having dinner! 🤣🤣 amateur service! Poor costumer service not family friendly under trained staff! But not all is bad, as a regular if you want to go on a piss I recommend! They can take good care of pissed heads! That's easy pint full pint empty! So just do that close the kitchen and handle the piss heads, just don't take the piss... REST IN PEACE

Nice big looking weatherspoons but the women toilet’s are filth. Service nice and quick. Food was lovely, nice and hot. Sausage & mash Chicken wings, bites and chips but bit tight on the curry sauce. Katsu curry was ok but the pasta was beautiful.

Food invariably good even allowing for the fact that some things are bought in cooked or part cooked. Prices have increased but still much cheaper than others

I its so comfortable, home from home, you can enjoy your time and meal!! The drink and food very good value!! Best ever we always like to have a walk in and walk home!! We did talk to a staff member, waitress, young lady around 20s very long hair, there, we haven't seen her since she was lovely made a point to talk to us!! We didn't mind we loved it, Thats was around 6weeks!! Or more or less, miss her!! She was the only one who made a friendly chat!! 🥰🥰🥰💓💗💓💗💓💖 we went sat 15 on July 2023 The down side; We noticed no tables and chairs outside after 9.30pm no table or chairs, we always used to go out to have a last drink outside. What happened??🤔 Did ask members of staff didn't seem to know why!! Love going out there? Now they were taken away, I do hope they put them back on Saturday nights?? from Tina and steve!!

Typical wetherspoons, toilets upstairs, zero atmosphere, cheap food (which was lovely - recommend giving the katsu curry a try) and drink but people all seemed to be enjoying themselves, we didn't wait long for food/drinks and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
