The place is fabulous and now the sad bit. I've only just heard you are closing. The two of the most popular venues in Hereford the other is The Starting Gate. I hope you will be offered other jobs. It's good for showing sports and meals. I visit this pub occasionally and on my recent visit the pub, the music was too loud that you could have a decent chat and the glasses were dirty!! But the drinks were good!!

£6 for this!!!! You’re having a laugh. Nachos without melted cheese for £6 is a bit of joke. This is 80p tops to make so mark up is scary! Then for an extra £2 you get a banquet. WTF! Staff must’ve laughed when I bought the hand bowl for £6!!!

Great staff were alll nice and the food was great and not pricey. It’s so nice in here as well thr atmosphere! Will be coming back when I next visit Hereford.

I went last week with my family and the service I experienced on the whole was excellent. Friendly faces, especially by Jess who was lovely, chatty and made us feel very welcome! Will definitely be returning!

The restaurant itself is clean and inviting. I ordered the all day breakfast and it was absolutely delicious. Probably the best I've had. The ladies behind the bar are really friendly, accommodating and all around lovely! Plenty of tables to tune into the 6 nations games which was the reason for the visit. Will be back again to try more of the meals. My mother's choose your own salad looked delicious!!

Izzy and Jess were wonderful with great service and always smiling and making me feel comfortable and happy I was looked after above and beyond what they needed to do for there job

Used the app to order food and drink. Very good , even on a Saturday afternoon when it was very busy.

Katsu chicken minus the sauce !! Very dry & wanted to charge for a bit of sauce! Pigs in blankets minus the blankets !!! 5 tiny sausages for £3.99 with no bacon on! Finally brought sauce out 20 mins later when my food had gone cold !! Place has gone down hill massively… waitress came across very rude !

One of my favourite pubs class this as my local but today Boxing Day my friends meal was the worst and the service from the manageress was abysmal. Here attitude was tough, when we asked why there was no bacon on the pigs in blankets her reply “that’s just how they come nothing I can do about it” the katsu chicken was dry when asked if we could have a bit more sauce the same women replied “yes but you will be charged” After asking a second time and the same response I advised her that Craig the manager had never charged us she immediately ordered sauce which did arrive once the meal was completely cold! Not impressed.

Went in to Yates last week for food. The manager was brilliant. Staff are friendly as well. He's a credit to you.

Wood have given 5 stars if gamon had been a little hotter although it was nice

Great food but smallish portions

Spent a Saturday afternoon in here. Great to watch the football in a friendly atmosphere. Service was excellent with attentive staff. Beer was good, I didn't try any food, but what was being served appeared nice and well presented. The pub has a large garden area and is dog friendly inside and out. There's a bit of a hike upstairs to use the toilets. However, there are disabled facilities at ground level. More expensive than the 'spoons' just down the road, but much better in all other respects.

Football and very cheap weekday pint of ale! What do you need more!

Food was great value for money, there was a lovely lively atmosphere. All staff were fab but particularly Jess who was chatty and welcoming and made us smile. Will definitely be returning with my family great place to eat and drink with loved ones.

We were served by Izzy who was polite bubbly and a pleasure to be served by. The food was cooked by Jay which was served hot and quickly and was delicious thank you we will return 😀

Had an absolutely brilliant Breakfast at Yates on Tuesday. Well portioned, all cooked well and hot and service from the staff at the bar was lovely as well.

Food which was gammon etc was very good and happy with meal but could have had a few more chips, but all was good and would visit again

Charged £19.90 for a burger a bear when the menu says 10.75 (double checked )so watch how they add up on the roll

What a total disgrace for food... Ordered a full English breakfast and a breakfast muffin, the sausages were grey and uncooked, the tomatoes weren't cooked, fat was oozing from the food. The whole thing looked like a pile of slop. Refunded and will never go again for food. Spend an extra fiver and go somewhere else. Actually worse than wetherspoons.

I visited Yates recently just for a few drinks with my family. There was a great selection of drinks behind the bar, and the staff were friendly and prompt. I was served by Hannah, Izzy and James.

Really good food from Jay and Jolly , and good service from Shannon and Craig behind the bar.

Food presented well, meal came hot, very tasty the garlic bread I asked to be toasted a bit more and came perfect. Cooked by Jolly and Jay. Only downside was that their was not Breaded chicken, which was my first preference. The service, as per usual by these two girls, Izzy and Kate, was outstanding as usual.

Sunday roast very poor not as good as I expected, an old piece of garlic in the gravy, on another meal the jacket potato skin was like leather, the lasagne the salad was limp. The upholstery on the chairs is disgusting!!

I decided to take my extended family for a meal at Yates Hereford. Unfortunately the food was rather unpleasant, my burger bun was all soggy and the patty was still half frozen. My chips were as dry as one of Gandhis flip-flops. It came out very quick probs why it was so bad. Also saw one of the chefs leaving who decided to “pass wind” on their way out of the pub. One upside is my mother in law will never want to come for food with me ever again.

Horrid. Dirty. Rude bouncers. Had a great selection of ciders from a festival type thing. Wouldn't recommend unless you have all your vaccinations up to date.

Would like to say if you’re going out for a family to take a look in Yates, Hereford. Food was cooked fast and delicious that was great value for money ! We were served by a very polite young lady , Tayla, she was fantastic at looking after us all. We will definitely be returning!

Came in for a friend's birthday meal on Wednesday night. While we all ordered separately, the food all arrived together at the same time, hot and with all our alterations correct. Very well cooked and enjoyed by all. The boys on the bar were amazing...

Fantastic time at Yates this evening, food and service were fantastic. Pub is very spacious and the price of everything was incredibly reasonable.

Very nice place to meet with friends, drink beer or cocktails. Nice beer garden and friendly staff.

I came into Yates today around midday and ordered some small plates and drinks. The food was lovely and well priced. The service was brilliant, very quick to be served and cutlery brought over to us by the girl working who had a big smile on her face. All round great atmosphere, will be coming back.

I can solemnly say that I have only ever dined here a handful of times upon convenience, but I will wholeheartedly say that every time; the food has been both fast, convenient and of a high standard. The quality of the service here - however - is obtained through the Management-of-the-bar. The staff on duty are always exceedingly efficient, and their overall knowledge of specific products available to customers and their company is arguably unparalleled within Hereford. The management (I believe to be Craig and Ewan?), can never do enough for you. This mindset cascades through the team. When myself and my friend visited last week, the lady behind the bar (Izzy?) made sure that we received stellar service throughout our stay. Albeit this stay short, moments and considerations that we felt inundated with allow you to appreciate what good service and good teams bring to communities. Communitism, perhaps! Although it may not mean much, all I can say is: We'll done Yates', Hereford. I and whoever I return here with next cannot wait to return. Beers on me! (In me, more like!!)

Brilliant staff very friendly good at accomodating children I go every Saturday for breakfast food is always very good .good service .and a nice atmosphere..highly recommend this for a nice relaxed breakfast ..also a good experience

Visited Yates for breakfast mid Monday morning, It was clean and tidy and although they were having to deal with deliveries we were not kept waiting to be served, our food order was brought to the table in no time, piping hot and very tasty also inexpensive. The tea came in a pot so kept hot and the whole experience means I can't wait to return. Well done to the owner and staff for providing such a place for us to enjoy.

It's not the Restaurant at the end of the Universe (Spoons) I would rather spend £10 in Yates than £1 in Spoons. The food, atmosphere and staff knock spots off Spoons. Thank you.

Lovley food ,nice staff .But the toilets were disgusting looked like they hadn't been cleaned from the night before , we were there 4 in the afternoon ,no cleaning rota's on show 😒

Had a Xmas party with 20 of us last night. Football was on but the staff managed really well. Food was hot, nice and plenty of it. Everyone was happy.

What can i say,Craig and his team are the best in Hereford.Yesterday despite Premier league football and International Rugby i was able to watch Torquay United v Derby, not many places would do this.On top of that Craig,Ewan and Katie provided great table service. Thanks ever so much.

This is a great pub with super staff. Bit of something for everyone, party, sport and food it does it all. We had great food which was hot and quick before watching the footie. The staff are brilliant even bringing our drinks to the table for the game.

Arrived at an appointment too early and needed a bite to eat … Found Yates it looked tidy and fresh … the entrance looked welcoming with wide open doors to the street … and on entering the friendly staff made contact with me straight away...
