We have just arrived home after two weeks holiday staying near Bosbury. We went in numerous pubs in the area and this was the best by far. Very welcoming landlord and the ladies behind the bar also made you feel really welcome asking about your day and remembered your drink order everytime we went back. We did not eat here but we noticed that the tables were all reserved. We are travelling back down to Bosbury again next year and we will definitely be paying this pub a visit or two!

Had a great stay here before Bus Fest. Staff are great, A very good selection of beer. Food was real treat of a Greek menu, Had a great night with locals and van lifers and the owners are just spot on. Only one concern has come to mind it not local to us in Yorkshire or we would be coming for burger and music events every month but will defiantly return

The food was amazing! I had the Lebanese chicken shawarma and it was absolutely fantastic. Portion size was perfect, very generous and well proportioned. My son had the chicken souvlaki and he gobbled the whole lot! The service was excellent as well, Luke and Eve treated us extremely well and we weren't left waiting, or wanting, for anything! When I'm next in the Malvern hills area I will definitely be paying this charming pub another visit

Great Staff and an excellent lunch menu, surprisingly with a twist of Greek food offered. Was on holiday in the area (rented a cottage), and this came up as a place to go. Was not disappointed. Fantastic lunch and as previous said Chips to die for. End of the meal because of the Greek influence and I can speak a little Greek, we were given some shots of local Cretan Raki by the proprietor who is local to the area by birth, I cant drink, but the rest was demolished enthusiastically, and much grinning and giggles followed. The tab was very reasonable. So good we had dinner there a few days later, again top notch. A must go place if your in the area. Thank you Guys, not forgetting the pub dogs (greek) Flo and Bean! See you sometime again.

What a great pub in the middle of the English countryside. Having travelled around the UK, as well as many other countries, the atmosphere, the staff and particularly the amazing menu was outstanding. The choice of meals was so varied that it was difficult to choose which dish to choose. The pub definitely requires several visits just to try out the different items on the menu. The staff were great and couldn't have done enough for us. If you live in the area, or plan on passing through, stop by and check this place out. There is plenty of parking off the road, and seating inside as well as outside.

The server was unable to answer any question regarding the dishes. My venison burger was overcooked to destruction, and the bun was thin and meh. My partner's veggie burger was mediocre, at best. The chips, while homemade, which was nice, were not all cooked through. The calamari rings were very good, however. The pepsi had an odd aftertaste. When I asked for ketchup, I was handed as still sealed bottle of Heinz, and my partner wanted mayo, and she was handed a still sealed bottle of Hellman's. They had live music on at the time, but the sound system was turned up to the point of distortion, and conversation was all but impossible, despite us being seated at the other end of the pub from the performance. The landlord lurked around, alternating between staring at customers, bemoaning his lot to whoever would listen, and bragging about the pub. The bar staff were slightly less animated than the extras in a zombie movie. I could go on, but I wont. Dire. Truly dire.

Driving back from Herefordshire to Worcester on a Sunday evening, we were hard pressed to find many places open for food. We popped in to try our chances and although they'd stopped serving their own food, they did have a street food vendor outside (I think it was called Carribbean to the Max?) who was phenomenal! We had a drink and there was also a cheeky little Fleetwood Mac tribute band live outside while we waited for the street food to set up. I can't comment on the pubs own food but the street food vendor was 10/10!

If you have children I would absolutely NOT recommend this pub. After going here this afternoon and arriving to an empty pub (I even asked if it was open as there was no body inside) myself, my friend and our children went and sat in the beer garden out the back. We made a conscious effort to sit at the far end of the garden so that if anyone else came they wouldn’t have to sit near children. Our children were happily playing in the little wooded area etc in the garden when a gentleman who worked there - I’m assuming it was the owner - approached us and very abruptly said our children need to be ‘not running around’ and that they need to be sat down and quiet and also not in the wooded area as people (there was one other table in the grass area of 3 young lads that came after we arrived) were trying to relax in the beer garden after a day at work!! After stating we didn’t know they weren’t allowed to play and not allowed in the wooded area as it was part of the garden and not fenced off the man then proceeded to walk off. We called our children over and swiftly left - the man was inside and turned his back as we left!! Our children were not naughty or loud, they were not screaming or arguing and not running around tables - there was one set of tears from a trip which we dealt with swiftly - they were simply playing in the wooded area with sticks, branches and a ball as children do!! If they’re so focused on it being a ‘beer garden’ in the hot weather they may want to focus on cutting the grass and picking up the multiple dog poos scattered around!! Also, if they don’t want children there then they could have said as we arrived instead of after an hour of us being there and being happy to take our money and serve us multiple rounds of drinks and snacks!!! Disappointing from the establishment- 100% won’t be returning or recommending!!!

We visited this pub with our two dogs, whilst on holiday in the nearby area. Our dogs are both really nervous, and they were so accommodating, providing us with a table out of the way. The pub is really nicely decorated, and they serve amazing food. They have Greek food options on the menu which is why we came here, as I adore Greek food. I wasn’t disappointed, as all the options I chose were absolutely delicious 😋. My partner isn’t a fan of Greek food so he had their signature burger instead, and he said it was one of the nicest burgers he’s ever had. Four of us visited for a simple lunch and were mostly impressed. Sourdough baguettes very good indeed with tasty, freshly prepared fillings. The same goes for the chips. The one flatbread ordered, by contrast, looked a bit minimal on topping and was judged not as good. Drinks absolutely fine, though at the top end of pricing based on nearby pubs. Atmosphere was pleasant and the staff excellent. You'd better like dogs though, as the owner's dogs were frequently around, trying to scrounge a bit of food. Fine by us, but be aware. Also be aware that the car park is unusually bad for potholes, so be careful if in a vehicle with low clearance.

We enjoyed our roast - plenty yummy gravy and delicious side of cauliflower cheese but the roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding could have been a bit more crispy. Starter didn’t seem to be home made. Friendly relaxed servers with great knowledge of local brews. Thanks

Excellent meal, at good value. Lovely cheese scones & home made soup. The Antique centre above was also full of interesting pieces.

Fantastic overall experience. Well presented pub with a fantastic atmosphere and great food! The majority of the food was handmade and it all tasted delicious. Very high quality food and large portions. We were encouraged to customise the food we ordered which is a big help to those who have specific dietary requirements. The member of staff that greeted us upon entering the Black Lion was very friendly and created a welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be back soon! Thank you!

Booked an evening meal whilst staying in log cabin near by. Large portions of home cooked food, quick service and friendly and helpful staff. Reasonably priced, in fact we were surprised and were expecting to pay more for the quality. The decor is lovely as well, quite cozy on an autumn evening. Will definitely return next time we are in the area
