I review Gordon Bennetts as not just a punter but as a musician who regularly entertains the punters there. I cannot fault this place. Staff, brilliant and the atmosphere, electric. Drinks are always high quality and I've never had a bad pint. I can't speak for their food, nor do I even know if they serve food, but if they do, and if it's anything like the service and beverage range and quality, it would likely be high quality. As a musician, it's one hell of a music venue. Packed, lively, sweaty and loud. A gloriously atmospheric explosion of energy, joy, appreciation and that very rarest of things, a unified love of live music. Everyone in there on a Friday, Saturday and some Sundays, they're there for 3 things. Drink Dance Fun. Drink can sometimes cause trouble. On the very rare occasion I've seen trouble, security instantly diffuses the situation. They're not heavy handed either. Professional and measured. Music is varied too with various artists and bands bringing multiple genres to GB's. If you haven't experienced a Saturday at GB's, you're missing out.

This bar always has a band of quality thus has a quality clientele hence a good night to be had by all..

Been coming here on and off for about 4 years. The interior is really nice and has a homely feel to it with an outside back area for smoking which is roofed mostly to stop rain. If you're after a quiet pint, id advise going at the start of the week. However if you like the busier times, weekends are always fun and always good for a laugh and hanging out with new people. The staff are wonderful and are very welcoming. I had isla serve me today and greeted me with a warm and bright smile and with exceptional service. Will continue coming here and would advise others to do the same!

Gordon Bennets is a great place to have a quiet catch-up with a friend on a week night after most of the other pubs have closed, and it's a pumping hangout on the weekend. The service is fantastic and speedy. They have a wheelchair accessible bathroom downstairs and more bathrooms upstairs. Prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is great.

Very busy on a Saturday night. Live bands which is good to see in Hereford. Bar area is very busy but bar staff seem quick to serve you.

Bouncers are just spoiling for a fight and extremely aggressive. Some lad wasn’t actually doing anything and a bouncer chucked him on the floor, pinned him down before chucking him out the door and pinning him down AGAIN. They also came up behind a woman and forced her down into her seat. And just spoke aggressively to punters about the entire bar. A nice place, but won’t be returning for fear of being assaulted by the over zealous and aggressive bouncing staff

Out with a night with friends , tripped on dance floor and was marched out like a criminal by bouncers , I work in hospitality so I understand behaviours acceptable by customers , bouncers complete animals

Best live music venue in Hereford

Never been before but some of the family and friends I went with had, and have always raved about the place. They were not wrong, we had a great night, would love to go again.

Always busy, Friday night bands so great live music. Plenty of staff so served quickly, felt safe as bouncers everywhere too. All ages not just aimed at teenagers.

Me and my wife were in Hereford for the night and went on a mini pub crawl just to check out Hereford a bit more. This place was easily our favourite. It was considerably cheaper than any of the others we went to. There was plenty of seating. It was nice and warm which was perfect given how cold it was outside. The staff were all really friendly and there was a wide selection of alcohol to choose from. The guinness was perfect too. What more could you want.

Just got the door and got not tonight meate from the bouncers. At 1:02 apparently they can sense how much I have had to drink an amazing fact hhaviing consumed only 3 pints however after standing outside the bouncer let their friends in. Pathetic. I have been in GB's severnightsansand had a a great night.

Staff were so lovely and very accomidating. We had a big table late on a Saturday night. Cocktails were insane and the food was great! Reasonably priced too.

Okay place on the weekend. Bands all seem to play the same gig every weekend. But again service is spotty. And always a wet bar. Apart from that a young crowd mixed with mature always pleasant there.

What is this place ? It's lacking identity

Keep in mind....I visited on a quiet Monday night...so not sure how it compares to a heaving Friday or Saturday night. But my feedback is:- The venue is a very pleasant place to have a drink in. The Real Ale, (Butty Bach), was excellent...only £3.20 a pint. Was informed that a very experienced cellar man looks after the beer. The bar staff we met were friendly. So, all in all, cannot fault the place. Top marks!

One off the worst places I have been the door staff have no idea what they are doing, there was sick all over the toilet, Beer is overpriced for such a small place will definitely not be going back and will advise anyone who asks where is good to go for a drink in hereford that this place is not good at all.

First place we stopped for a pint on arriving in Hereford. Nice pint and live music at the weekend.

We popped in for a couple of drinks with friends to meet other friends. It's pleasant inside. Dogs are welcome which suited us. Our dog had a little play with another dog. Would go there again.

What should have been an amazing pub was spoilt by some lads who think it's okay to bully my friend for their appearance. The bar was great, but to our own fault we didn't didn't report our issues to the staff, we simply decided it was easier to leave, so I won't give lower than 3*. I will come back though, and hopefully have a better experience. I thought the ancient Craven A advertisement was a cool touch

I feel blessed to have Gordon Bennet's as my local. With live music on the weekends and laughs every day of the week, I know that Hereford is home. Harry, a hard worker who clearly loves his job, has made every effort to make me feel welcome and respected while being in the bar. I can only reccomend the experience of GB's to anyone visiting or residing in Hereford city.
