Lots of variety to choose from. Excellent gluten free options. A friend and I visited and throughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Staff knowledgeable and super friendly. Would recommend and visit again.

We went in on a whim to try it, and two of us ordered pancake stacks with maple syrup; I had cream on mine. These were not pancakes like I make them myself - thin and crispy at the edges: these were thick, doughy and stodgy. The cream was squirty cream out of a can which vanished as soon as it hit the warm pancake. The service was pleasant, but the place was noisy with frequent loud thumping sounds, and the tables were sticky. It wasn't a very pleasant experience and I won't be going there again.

What an exceptional experience we had. We were celebrating the end of our sons treatment and the team opened especially for us to allow him to celebrate with pancakes which is all he wanted. The service was brilliant and food was amazing! Coffee was fabulous. I cannot rate this place highly enough. We had a party of 34 with kids ranging from 3+ and the whole experience was relaxed and welcoming.

Thought we would try brunch here two adults one child . Can't comment on the food as the service was very unprofessional and we decided to leave . Asked to be seated and was straight away restaurant was busy but far from full one server but about 3 others working behind the counter . Initially great sat menus given drinks ordered after about 10 mins drinks arrived but server dashed off no order taken about 15 to 20 mins later she came back to take the order and by know the restaurant had thinned out of customers . Takes order then after yet another 10 mins comes back to say they couldn't supply my daughters order a small stack of cinnamon pancakes from there menu at this point we knew our orders had not even been started so guessing at least another 20 mins for food at wich point we decided to ask for our drinks bill paid and left . Won't be going back

So so disappointed, we went whole family to celebrate mothers day as we been there in the past. cold food for which we have waited 55 minutes, waitress trying give us milk shakes few time which we haven't ordered, and asking us on which part of the order we are waiting for. even for drinks we had to wait nearly 30 min and my mums cappuccino been served after the food. one of the pancakes been half raw. we definitely wont be back there ever again

We visited Yanto's on Saturday 21st Jan 2023. All our party enjoyed our various dishes. I had waffle with meat feast and bbq sauce. Extremely tasty indeed. Also loved the eye to detail on the coffee froth patterns. Really eye-catching. The service by our server was exemplary. A young lady called Grace did everything perfectly. Service with a smile all the time. This lady is a natural at pleasing customers and doing everything just at the right time. Getting water for us, taking away plates, knowledge of the menu too. Thanks again Yanto's and also to Grace!

Lovely staff and atmosphere, the food is made with love and is very reasonably priced! I had the banoffee pancake and it was beautiful!

Popped in because we'd previously (over a year ago) had a decent pancake lunch here. Very disappointed in the quality this time. No sauce or butter offered with the "pancakes" - which were thick, dry and doughy attempts at what was possibly an American pancake (both the normal and the gluten-free versions). We couldn't finish them - both were like trying eat dried up wallpaper paste (not that I've tried it, but you get the picture). Tomatoes warmed up rather than cooked. Rest of food tolerable but looked as though it come out of cans and just been heated up. Service fairly lacklustre - one young lad who looked half asleep. Won't be returning. It's a shame. I like pancakes and there's not many places you can get them these days in restaurants. The atmosphere sort of mirrored Gloucester's rather scruffy image outside. Maybe they've lost the will to live.

Excellent little independent business in the heart of the city. Had the homemade lemon drizzle cake and a chocolate brownie. Cannot fault them! Great service in a friendly relaxed atmosphere. If you’re passing by pop in. Good coffee and great cakes!

I visited Yantos on the weekend after previously having 2 good meals here. After a 1.5 hour wait for food we had been told we would receive a discount due to the wait which was caused by them being “short staffed”. Once the food arrived it was dry with no sauce being served with pancakes - which it had been previously. We left both meals untouched after tasting them and explained they did not taste good to the staff. No apology was given and then we were charged the full price for the meal including the inedible food! Won’t be visiting again!!

Very disappointed, 2 orders of waffle were very bland and not enough topping, they were chewy and dry. Pancakes, again not enough topping as there are 3 pancakes, the bottom 2 are completely plain. Ice cream was not the creamy luxury kind unfortunately, and is £1 extra for a scoop. Service was very slow. Waste of £23.50.

Unfortunately it was extremely slow service and the crepes we ordered ended up being hard and very dry. It wasn't even busy at the time, only 3 other people.

What a fabulous little place. Just like an American breakfast. Lovely staff, quick service. Light fluffy pancakes and good prices. You can chose pancakes, crepe or waffle too.

First time i've been here, won't be the last, if you want a delicious brunch that is a bit out of the norm (whilst also accepting it won't be the healthiest meal of the day) then this is the place to go. Specializing in pancakes, crepes and waffles with many toppings you can add to them both savoury and sweet, you can make many things. Shout out the yanto milkshake too which I didn't need but had to try (maple syrup shake with caramel sauce and more pancakes!

Food was ok but, kitchen didnt look the cleanest. Staff chucking stuff around to each other. Need to step up on hygiene, no one had gloves on at all

Stopped by unexpectedly. From the outside my expectations were not great as it looked like it was going to have no ambience with fast and impersonal fast food service. Happily wrong.... warmly welcomed as we arrived and staff seemed happy to be there and helping each other. Good mix of pancake fillings and selection of drinks. Portions were a good size. Only slight critique was that the roasted vegetables were a tad oily. Told by staff, been open two years and is not a chain. Will definately be back if in the area again just to see if the background music is still as raucous!

Visited with very young child and was impressed with the equanimity and friendliness of the staff who accommodated our every need. The pancakes were freshly made and delicious... The baby especially enjoyed gobbling down as much as possible.

Went for breakfast was made to feel welcome from the start very understanding of the kids also, was served by a gentleman called luke and he took the time to .make the family feel comfortable. Would definitely recommend for the family as a whole great experience and great food also

I have been here loads of times before and I always love it. The service speed it quick. The food is amazing and the milkshakes perfect. It is undoubtedly my favourite place to eat.

Service was friendly and very quick. Portions tasty and plentiful. This seems to be an independent place which I think was far superior to similar chains. Price was better too.

Wow..... I lived in Gloucester for 9 months. I visited this pancake shop almost every week. Always 'Chocolate fancy'. All the staffs were extremely nice. The pancake was huge and taste extremely good. I love their loyalty program. Visited 5 times you get 50% and visit 10 times you get a free one!! Thank you so much to all the crew member. Keep it up!! As others have mentioned the service was a little slow but we felt it was worth the wait when pizza size pancakes came out (even the child's portion). They have a good selection of sweet and savour toppings and not just the traditional. We had a savoury crepe and a savoury dutch pancake and only just squeezed in mini desert pancakes which they accidently did as large but only charged us for the small.

Lots of choices for vegetarians. We tried the savoury pancakes the on Dutch pancake bases and the fajita one absolutely out of the world! The guacamole and salsa were fresh and flavoursome and it tasted heavenly! We didn’t have space for the sweet pancakes otherwise would have definitely gone for one of them!

We’ve visited Yantos on a few occasions and have always left happy! They are unique in the city in serving pancakes, waffles, American pancakes and crepes for those with a sweet tooth or desire for something more savoury.

Visited Yantos Pancake shop on Mother's Day with my family (5 of us). Was greeted with a warm welcome by a member of staff. We were given enough time to peruse the menu and given recommendations on what to order because it was our first time at a pancake shop, and a wide variety of pancakes to choose from.

Yanto 2 nd visit and again lovely food and the kindness we see from Luke and Ross was above and beyond. The service the friendliness I love this place and the people are full of kindness it’s so lovely that they take great pride in there food and shop and also there community they deserve an award thx guys for another great day

Morning trip to try out Yantos, our server Luke was warm and welcoming, very good service overall. Food however did not live up to what we heard, little bit bland and boring, because of this we probably won’t return.

We visited after a friend recommended & we weren't disappointed! Lovely food, friendly staff & our server Beth was ace! Great place for families, we'll definitely be back!

Mummy and daughter day out started with breakfast at Yanto's, our first visit did not disappoint. We were greeted with a very warm welcome. The menu was extensive with both sweet and savoury choices. We went sweet and ordered a pancake stack with marshmallows, strawberries, pistachios and nutella, and cookie monster waffles, oh my goodness both were delicious, freshly made and nicely presented. A relaxed atmosphere provided a perfect girl date. Thank you we will be back!

I came here with my sister for a quick lunch whilst shopping.

Just enjoyed the Yanto savoury Crepe. Oregano &Basil; infused crepe topped with pepperoni, Italian meatballs, sun dried tomatoes, cheddar cheese & buffalo mozzarella. Really tasty, fresh and clean taste. Thoroughly enjoyed with a healthy smoothie. Excellent value for money

as much as i would love to review the food sadly i am unable too. we ordered after 15 minutes and after waiting over 30 minutes we were served our £4 bland milkshakes. meanwhile a table came in had drinks and went. Overall we waited over 50 minutes before a table of 4 that had arrived a good 10-15 after us were served their pankakes so I approached the till to cancel as we were by now part hungry. The cashier then argued that the table that had been served had been there before us and were 2 seperate parties (though came in together and sat chatting together????? ) this was our first visit which we were really looking forward too but will sadly be our last. we were given a stamp card for 50% off a future pancake but sadly we will not be using it. But thank you Hubble Bubble on Westgate street. we were served our food within 15 minutes and required alot more cooking than the pancakes!!

Yantos is a wonderful pancake house with a beautiful and tasty menu cater for food allergys the staff are friendly and remember repeat customers I honestly can't ask for more from my favourite place to eat

Popped in at 12pm before going to meet a friend at 1pm. Order was taken by a friendly waitress straight away. 40 minutes later no food, and no member of staff approached me to explain. The restaurant was not busy, and by 12:45 I was the only one in the room. Still no explanation. Asked at 12:50 if the food was on the way, and was told I was next. Left at 1pm with no food and no explanation. They apologised and didn't ask me to pay for my drink.

What a lovely place, a large choice of both sweet or savoury pancakes, they were delicious! Staff were friendly and helpful, will definitely return.

Had a fantastic experience dining at Yantos this week. Ordered a stack of pancakes with marshmallows, pistachios, Nutella and strawberries which was presented magnificently and thoroughly enjoyed.

The pancakes were not good and the fillings were terrible- plain and not tasty and cold- should have been warm or hot;- my goats cheese was totally tasteless and full of onion without any crispness or flavour. Tomatoes were bitter .

Delicious food! I had the Sausage and Bacon with maple syrup and an egg on a short stack. I downsized to the smaller version at £4.50! Perfect portion. Can choose from sweet or savory on a short stack of American pancakes, waffles, crepes or one large Dutch pancake. Comfortable and friendly environment. Really enjoyed the festive Christmas music! Staff was very kind and even offered up the WiFi code-a first here in Gloucester.

A short walk from the central square of Gloucester town centre you will find this small GEM. Situated in a town with pigeons galore Yantos pancake house wouldn’t be out of place in the east of London. The food was amazing, possibly the best pancakes I’ve eaten! And the decor in the cafe was amazing American style and with the handsome young man cooking my pancakes in the open kitchen just added a special touch. The general ambiance of the place was second to none. The place will have a Michelin star coming in years watch this space. But seriously whether it’s a family trip, first date, or just to grab a bite to eat this place needs to be where you go! Take it from me (an unofficial pancake connoisseur) will 100% be returning :)

I won’t lie Gloucester is not the prime spot for brunch and normally we travel to cheltenham however we were pleasantly surprised with this hidden gem that we found, absolutely beautiful food, quick and efficient service and reasonable prices. Hidden just round the side of the Debenhams its a perfect little treat for a shopping day or just a brunch date! Me and my partner were very impressed and will be returning! ☺️

We tried this place for breakfast on a recent trip to Gloucester. The Dutch pancake underpinning the full English breakfast was too thick - I should have ordered a crepe or stack, but I tend to associate these with sweet toppings. Good coffee. The place is slightly off the beaten track, but I hope it gains a good reputation.

It was suggested by some friends that we go and have breakfast here on Sunday. I’m so glad we did , the pancakes were amazing , very reasonably priced and great value for money. I was particularly impressed by the fact they make as many of the toppings in-house. I highly recommend the home made honeycomb ! Looking forward to a return visit

The place was empty when we got there but a few more people came in while we were there - the service was fine but there was only 2 staff that I could tell working there so don't know how they would have coped if it was busier. We all had the stack of 3 pancakes with different toppings. They were fine but that's all, we agreed my homemade pancakes were better tasting. Pancake house is a nice idea but I wouldn't go back. Place was very clean though I have to say.

I’ve been wanting to go since it opened, so when it came to my Birthday, my sister organised for me to go for Breakfast along with my wife. The food was amazing and the smoothies were lovely too. I had the all day breakfast which so really good and a very generous size. The service was really friendly and attentive. I would recommend it to anyone. Looking forward to going back to try the marshmallow pancake!

Lovely crepes and paninis, well priced and very helpful staff. Highly recommended. Having been to Caspar in Glos very recently I wish I had found this place first, everything about the experience was so much more enjoyable.

My husband and I came here on father’s day with our 2 year old, for what I can only describe as the most delicious pancakes I’ve ever eaten. I had the veggie, my husband had bacon and maple syrup and we got our little one the child’s oreo and raspberry. The portions were perfect, freshly made and so tasty.

Stumbled on this place whilst on Gloucester. Well positioned for those exploring the town centre. Had a nice welcome from the staff. Sat at the table and ordered at the bar.

Went there with my friends and at the time, we were in a bit of a rush. Luckily they accommodated and all four of us received our orders within minutes. Really friendly staff too and the food was amazing

A pancake house with a difference:

Came here for a treat - traditional American pancakes & bacon. Got shown to our table on a Saturday lunchtime & found that they had no waffles or vanilla ice cream - no problem for us. Went to order to be told there’s no bacon. Ordered pancakes with lemon & sugar then pancakes with maple syrup & a mango smoothie (which was tasteless & inedible) I could have made a LOT of English pancakes for 15 quid..... waste of money. Felt sorry for the waiting staff.

Went there a couple of months back and it wasn’t too bad, 20 minute delay, went there yesterday on pancake day and people were waiting ages for their food. I asked how long when ordering, and told 30 mins delay, after waiting 55 mins and only having a one hour lunch break, we walked out hungry along with other disgruntled visitors. Told it was because they only had two machines ... perhaps you need more than two machines or limit what you are offering. Also I think an extra £1.25 for the gluten free option is also very high and why should coeliacs be punished. Also I have seen people selling pancakes at exhibition halls and they are turning them out very quickly! Great improvement required if you want to stay in business long term

Tried this relatively new pancake house for the first time on pancake day. When I browsed the menu I realised the prices were higher than listed on their website. Thankfully they honoured the website price as I had only brought enough money to pay that. I waited around half an hour for my pancake and although they were reasonably busy I watched other customers who had arrived after me receive theirs before me. When it arrived it was quite nice although the edges were crispy which although not unpleasant was odd, I guess the edge was made too thin which lead to it being overcooked? Menu is a tad misleading as it leads you to believe you will get ice cream and cream with it rather than one or the other. Staff were friendly though, I would give them the benefit of the doubt and try them again sometime. They do savoury ones and waffles etc. Prefer the ambience here than kaspas..!
