Miller and Carter Steakhouse in Gloucester

I went for a birthday celebration. The service was very good but I'm afraid as a veggie there wasn't a great choice on the menu. I chose a vegetable tart and the pastry was nice but vegetables too hard to eat. For starters I had mushrooms in a cheese sauce with toast. The toast was rock hard so not good. Best bit was the pudding but a bit too rich. As for prices. Rediculous and not worth the money ☹️

We had booked Christmas Dinner for 4 us (plus 1 w/chair user who is tube fed) to host a family gathering. The welcome was warm, the atmosphere really warm and family based and our menu choices were great. We really enjoyed our meal and we were brilliantly looked after by Maisey (thanks for your efforts). Would definitely do this again 😊

Came here for my husband’s birthday and our wedding anniversary. The food was phenomenal, very well presented and delicious. The staff were very attentive, Pom looked after our table and she was very helpful and showed that she loved her role. We will definitely be back!

went in with my family a couple days ago and was served by Tik - the service was fantastic and all of our food was 5 star and overall it was a great experience!!

I'm a very frequent visitor here but was disappointed on this occasion. The 30 day aged steaks I, and my friend ordered, were not nice at all. We were offered fresh steaks but had already eaten our accompaniments. We were given a discount, but overall this experience was not the usual standard of this restaurant.

Absolutely wonderful meal. We went when it was very busy and didnt wait long between courses.Our table server Jenni was very knowledgeable about our food and drinks and made sure to give me gluten free. Only thing I'd have changed is not being the only table for two in amongst peoples work meals of 10 people plus as it was noisy but it wasnt long before tables around us were leaving. Overall a great experience and we will be back.

came here for my 18th birthday, the steak was cooked to perfection and everything else was delicious! festive cocktails were amazing aswell as our lovely server Nicole who took care of us all nice and was extremely kind!

Service was fabulous, staff were super lovely, helpful and friendly. Food and drink quality was superb. Could not recommend this restaurant more. Will definitely visit again.

The steaks here are always good, so many places flame grill the steaks which leaves this smokey charred taste that masks the flavour of the meat, here that taste is tonned down. I always go for the 50-day aged steaks as again the flavour ageing gives is so superior, and this isn't somewhere I get to go often. Every bite was great, and I tried the Bone Marrow Bernaise for the first time, which complimented the steak very well and really levelled up my new potatoes as well! My only slight complaint is we were sitting quite near a window, which was letting in a draft, I simply kept my jumper on, but as the night went on other people at our table started to feel it too and we maybe could have been checked on slightly more for drinks. Overall, I can't wait for another opportunity to go back and have a great steak.

Burger ordered without sauce but came with sauce. fries stone cold with black bits and tasted of old oil peppercorn sauce also cold time before was amazing this time inedible quality control required especially at these prices

A lovely meal, our server Nicola was extremely helpful and answered all of our questions about the menu. Our steaks were absolutely delicious and cooked beautifully. We took Nicola's advice with the ribeye steaks and were not disappoint. We also received a complimentary birthday slate at the end.

My table of 6 received fantastic service from Tik who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. It was my father's birthday which the restaurant took great notice of, presenting him with a lovely complimentary gift. We will be returning!

Aimee is an absolute credit to this place! It’s our first date night since we got married, having two young children we don’t get much time to ourselves and Aimee made the evening very enjoyable! The food was absolutely delicious and drinks! We will definitely be back! Working in the industry you appreciate good customer service all the more when you go out to eat and I cannot fault the service here!

Nicole was a truly wonderful host, very attentive and friendly. Food was great tonight so too was the wine and cocktails.

Came for Mums birthday and was thoroughly impressed. Incredible service by Aimee, she was clearly busy but still very attentive and added to the overall experience with a lot of laughter 10/10 would return, she made the night. Set menu has a lot of choice and the food was cooked to a great standard

Came here to celebrate the husband’s birthday. Overall it was a really good experience. We will definitely come back again with our family soon. Parking was easy. Food was super super delicious. We ordered the sharing steak, the portion was huge! We also added the bone marrow sides, flavour is a bit on the rich side. Side salad lettuce came in a wedge which was very special. We couldn’t finish the dessert and the waitress suggested us to takeaway, that was really nice of her :)

We came to Miller and Carter for the first time as it was our 10th anniversary. We were looked after by Pom who made sure everything was great. She guided us through the menu really well and made sure we always had something to drink/eat. The food was amazing, Pom recommended the Butchers Block to us as we wanted to try a bit of everything (other than seafood) and it was absolutely amazing. It’s also a super small gesture but Pom arranged for us to be brought a small anniversary gift of chocolate and strawberries which we both very much appreciated! Would definitely recommend for any occasion, we’ll definitely be back

Lovely and clean restaurant. Staff friendly. Meals cooked to perfection and lovely and hot too. Not the cheapest of places but ideal for a treat/special occasion.

Very disappointed with menu. Our prawn coctail starter was literally half an iceburg lettuce with sone prawns on top. The lettuce was hole, not separate leaves. We could have made this dish at home for £2 with no effort at all. Our steaks were nice and cooked perfectly, but the presentation was terrible

Food cooked perfectly. Always have to be careful with ordering steak for delivery but these were cooked so nice and they came still very hot so which is great. Will definitely order again.

We had the sauce for both steaks missing and the food was Luke warm. We paid quite a lot of money and expected hot food and the sauce not to be missing. So won’t be getting food on just eat for miller and carter again

Food not as good as other Miller & Carter, dry scallops and lobster tail. Ribeye was fantastic.

Had a perfectly cooked 16oz ribeye and so did my friends. Great service.

Our visit was great, we ordered quite a bit of food and several drinks and everything was wonderful. The service was great, very friendly and helpful. The steaks were cooked to perfection. 4 out of 6 of the guests hadn’t been before and so were unsure what to expect but each of them said the food was amazing and they would definitely go again. The 2 that have been before have never had a bad meal at M&C, having now been to a few of them across the UK.

We love M&C, but sadly the speed of service on Sunday let it down. It took over an hour to get our steaks (we did have the starter and salad in the time), and once the steak arrived the onion loaf was cold as was the center of my medium steak. We were starving by that point so just ate up rather than make a fuss. The Espressco martinis are beautiful

Very special place this was my wife's birthdays treat and the staff, the food excellent. Pom our waitress was very freindly and professional, she is a diamond a credit to the team. She remembered us from the last time we dined and we relaxed and enjoyed the atmosphere, made it very homely.

Amazing food and atmosphere yet again! Came on Sunday and had a couple of drinks, sourdough and halloumi fries to start which was very tasty. Then we ordered the Sunday Sharing Board which came with chicken, lamb, ribeye, camembert mash, Yorkshire puddings, veg and dripping gravy and this was delicious. All of the food on the board was cooked perfectly and was very tasty. 😍 Filled us up completely. If you have the chance to visit on a Sunday, the sharing board is well worth the money for the amount of food you get. 😀 Served by Nette who was very friendly, efficient and helpful. Food was delicious! 5/5⭐️ highly recommend.
