Excellent. I had a delicious lamb casserole (with mint sauce - beef casserole also available), some tasty bubble & squeak and two lovely Yorkshire puds and a fresh pot of tea - all for £9.00. Amazing value and quality, the retro atmosphere is perfectly curated for a great experience, absolutely recommended.

It was a gorgeous day, hottest of the year so far according to the Met Office, so I went to Chesham to have a look around this rather nice little market town. Unfortunately, being mid-week, it was not 'Market Day' but still a very nice place to see. Lunchtime drew near and my eye was caught by 'Wotnot' a Vintage Café at the end of the High Street. This really is a delightful little café. The interior is rather small but extremely cosy, and cool, with a fan helping. Inside there are small tables, chairs and benches and lots of cushions making it very comfortable to sit and eat. There are also tables and chairs outside the front where you can sit and 'people-watch'. It was a bit hot and bright for me to do that today. Nostalgia reigns supreme here with lots of toys and other things from the past. Many from the era of my own childhood in the 1950s with Noddy, Big Ears and Mr Plod sitting on the window sill, Green Shield Stamps (Remember those?) and lots of things to look at. The owner is a very amiable chap indeed and we had a very nice chat. He told me about some of the things in his establishment as well as other attractions in the town such as the 'Good Earth Gallery'. I just had a snack for lunch, white coffee, a sliced turkey sandwich on seeded bread with salad, but both were very tasty indeed, quickly served and reasonably priced. This little café is now on my list of places to return to and I can thoroughly recommend it to everyone.

We popped in for tea and a bite to eat. We had 3 smaller kids and the owner was very accommodating. We had a tea and toasties which were lovely. The vintage of the cafe is charming and oozes love and consideration. Well worth a visit if you’re in Chesham.

Spotted this cafe whilst out and about in Chesham with a friend, and thought we’d try it out. Was greeted by a friendly man who welcomed us in and was telling us all about different teas which was interesting to know! Cosy inside and Had a pot of tea between us which was lovely and delicious pancakes , which made a great snack😋 Good prices and lovely service and food/drink. Thank you :)

I have been a couple of times now and looking to take my mum and sister soon for afternoon tea! Each time we have had really friendly service and felt very welcomed. The food is lovely, my husband has cheese ploughman's and I had a cream tea. The cutlery and table wear is so adorable and makes it even more special. Only downside is its a bit small and the door is left open so dress warm. Definitely worth a visit!

We came for afternoon tea and it was delicious. But we were most impressed with the warm welcome and service. Child friendly with baby changing and children’s toys. We had such a nice time talking to the owner.

We received an afternoon tea from the Wotnot cafe as a treat from friends. Although plentiful there seemed to be little if anything homemade. It seemed to be a collection of items assembled from the supermarket. I understand that things are difficult at the moment but it would have been far more preferable to have had less food of a better quality

I was treated to afternoon tea which was really delicious. The food was very tasty with a delcious range of cakes. If you love vintage, remember when telephones where dialed with using your finger and enjoyed the stories of Alice in Wonderland then this will be a place to visit.

Been here before but this is one of the best places for afternoon tea . 12 pounds per person and you wont go hungry . Quirky little place with some outside seating. Look forward to some afternoons in the summer eating cake and watching the world go by

Shop was actually closed however the owner Chris opened for us and made us very welcome. We enjoyed hot drinks and a toasted tea cake with butter - seemed a little expensive at £8.50 but felt it was worth it on this occasion because of the owners hospitality and bonhomie.

The 3 of us popped in this afternoon and although it was due to close, the owner let us sit down and have tea and cake. The cakes were delicious and my stepdaughter didn't even realise that the chocolate cake was vegan. Everything was presented beautifully. I also noticed that the bathroom was very baby-friendly, which was a plus for me as I am heavily pregnant. We would go back more regularly, but we were charged £16 for 2 slices of cake, a coffee, a tea and a juice, which seems excessive and certainly not affordable for a regular visit. There wasn't any prices printed anywhere, so I'm not sure what the breakdown was. Had it been a bit cheaper, we'd have probably been back every weekend.

We are regulars at The Kitchen Larder and Rachel and the team have continued to maintain their very high standards. Most food is locally grown or sourced and is of a very high quality. We normally order and collect to eat at home and can recommend the Smoked Avo, Salmon and egg salad! We have also used the Kitchen Larder for Corporate Catering and the food selection and presentation was outstanding. The KL also has a stunning selection of small scale producer sourced foods. A must visit if you are a visitor to the Chalfonts.
