We were camping at Trevornick which is adjacent to Woody's. The venue is pretty small and despite advertised as Woody's Bar, is clearly trying to promote it's food offer. It resembles a well kept social club with no background music. Bizarrely, they have 90's music video's playing on the TV with no sound. Very odd, I can only assume it is something to do with the PRS licence. The food, when they serve it, is actually very good. Portion sizes and various tasty dishes including daily specials represents good value for money. The inconsistency of the food service is frustrating as you may wander in one day and be welcomed for a drink when they are not serving food. On others, they put reserved signs on all of the tables pushing drinkers outside. Not because they are actually reserved mind, but to deter drinkers from taking a seat inside. Dare to try and occupy a table during this period and what little hospitality there is goes downhill. Even if you do order food, those behind the bar, generally the owner and a lady who I can only assume to be his wife, are constantly glaring over from afar, prompting newcomers that the table may become available "soon" and thus making for a very uncomfortable and unwelcoming experience for families who have spent their money and may be enjoying a drink or two after their meal. I understand that these businesses need to make hay while the sun shines (ironic considering we've had one of the wettest and windiest summers in Newquay), but you have a captive audience willing to spend their money, would it hurt to be a little bit more respectful to your patrons? Overall, it's a nice place with good outside seating with stunning views over Holywell Bay. Worth a look if you're in the area.

A lovely spot but disappointing menu choice and the chef clearly got out of the wrong side of bed. If we didn't have hungry children we would have walked away. Pop in for a bowl of chips and a drink, don't expect any friendly service, expect a wait even at quiet times and you'll be ok. We won't be returning.

We've visited Woody's several times over the last few years whilst camping at Trevornick. The mini golf is great, the view fabulous but that's where it ends. The chap who manages the place is such a misery. Sorry, I'm sure he's a nice chap but he really let's the place down. The drinks are limited and the menu has decreased. What's happen Woodys?! You were great the first time we visited but have gone downhill. Please bring this place back to life.

Nothingis a problem for this great little bar. They always try to accommodate your needs.Great views, great food and great service. Look forward to coming back here every year. Keep up the great work and customer experience. Thank you.

We have been to woodys a few times as we have stayed at trovornik for the last 5 years we went the other night and was told we needed to book.so the next day i rang and booked a table for myself partner and kids for 8.15 i was asked my pitch no and name when we arrived i was told by quite a rude man that there was no booking and that i hadn’t made one i shown him the number I’d rang but he insisted that i hadn’t booked then rudely said we’ll take at seat but the food will be over an hour no apology we sat down then decided to leave i won’t be going back and also very limited menu such a shame as it’s on a great camp site

We visited Woody';s as we were staying in Trevornick site. No longer any food available, limited drinks on offer and closes at 5pm. I understand it was the end of the season but people still wanting to grab a drink after golf and maybe a snack. One day when it was raining it was totally closed and we watched several people walk by wanting to go in. Very disappointing.Seem,s there may be a change of management or maybe even plans for the building but I hope that gby the summer there has been a rethink and it will be open again with better amenities.

Very limited food choices, about 6 dishes to choose from! Sat down at a dirty table which we moved the previous customers pots ourself and asked twice for someone to come and wipe it down, nobody did! Service was snotty. My burger was bland. No vinegar! Won't be returning.

Trevornick site is lovely. We are currently staying here and have been coming here for a while… Woodys restaurant with its lovely views is the only good thing I can say about it. It has the same miserable man working there as it did 12 months ago. The rattler on draft is awful and the food is shocking!!! Cajun chicken was obviously frozen and so bland. The chips were again frozen… the burger was frozen… £50 for tea. We ended up going back and cooking proper, decent home cooked FRESH food. Will not go back Woodys again. Would not recommend at all. Awful!!

When the food arrived the garlic bread was completley undercooked I asked one of the staff if they could cook it alittle longer to which she replied "il have to ask" unfortunately she didn't return to the table and I had to ask another one of the staff there who was an older guy in a shirt that looked liked he could of been the manager, when he came over he just took the garlic bread and then brought it back with no apology, I just found him rude in general. Not once did any of the staff ask if our meal was ok. Just aswell really tho as the food was absolutely disgusting, tastless microwave slop! The staff here could do with some urgent training in how to use basic manners it probably wouldn't hurt to employ a chef in addition. Such a shame this restaurant is so poor as the Trevornick camp site that its situated on is probably the best Iv been to.

Food was ok and majority of staff were pleasant but the old guy behind the bar who I assume was the manager was very rude to us when ordering at the bar and extremely rude to lady that came in to make a perfectly reasonable complaint. I don’t think he should be in the service industry if that’s the way he thinks he should speaking to paying customers. My star rating is not a representation of the venue or other staff but for the “manager”.

I was there sitting down at the wooden table, with a lovely extraordinary view of the sea. You can hear seaguls laughing and children crying with also children saying 'what the heck'. But there food is proper good and good quality. Also I like there pork scratchings it is well seasoned.

Stopped in at woodys for lunch after a morning’s pitch and putt with the family. Whilst the range might not be huge at the moment with a smaller menu than normal, what they did have was gorgeous and really friendly staff. Service was quick and via an app/website from your table. Definitely recommend a visit

Great efficient service regardless of how busy they are. The barmaid Ailsa is one of the hardest working people I’ve seen. She seemed to be there from open til close every day but is still always cheery. Pay rise needed for her for sure. I will be visiting again in the near future.

We went here most evenings of our recent stay at Trevornick as without children we felt it was a better option for us than the lounge bars. On arrival there were 2 young members of staff who told us they’d not been there very long, you certainly wouldn’t know that to watch them, they worked their socks off and whilst being professional all the staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. We saw them having to deal with a few difficult customers who had clearly never heard of Covid and they did so with a lot a maturity. We couldn’t praise the staff here highly enough and Woodys will be a major reason why we will be returning to Trevornick.

Visited for lunch after visiting Holywell park. Decent menu options including a children's menu. Food was very good, quick service. Pleasant atmosphere, dog friendly which is always a bonus.

We stayed at the onsite camp site and visited Woodys on several occasions through out our stay and every time the food was excellent. The portions were large and sometimes we were unable to finish everything on the plate. The staff were polite and friendly...

Excellent food , served by friendly waitresses, good value meals. Drink variety not suiting all tastes but there were palatable compromises. Like all places on the Trevornick site there were staffing problems and this showed at times. For instance a family wished to place an order for food at 17.22 but was told by the staff that the kitchen did not open until 17.30, so they went away. But we enjoyed our time in there.

Woody's is an on site pub and eatery. It has an excellent menu and serves good quality food. It has an outside seating area with fabulous views over the golf course and sand dunes

Tuvimos la hamburguesa especial y la sobresaliente comida. Ordenados en el bar sin números de mesa o indicador para poner en la mesa para indicar que pedimos comida. No comido aquí antes, así que no sé cómo funciona. Camarera paseos alrededor gritando comidas esperando alguien a reconocer. Llamamos a ella y ella nos da comidas y paseos. Nos grita sobre utensilios y salsas y ella dice que todos en el bar y de caminar. No es un buen servicio para los precios que están pagando por la comida rápida. No se comer allí de nuevo. Sentado en las mesas de afuera que no se han derribado por un largo tiempo y encimeras de cristal no se han limpiado ad son pegajosas de comidas anteriores, ya que fueron los primeros en pedir a las 5 de la tarde. Un poco de capacitación está en orden, si se emplea un personal europeo. Tomó cerveza ya que estaba nublado y sabor amargo bugt me dijeron que debería estar bien, pero insistió en otro tipo y fue cambiado bien. Es un poco más de gestión necesaria para hacer de esta experiencia un placer.

Hemos estado usando Woody's durante muchos años, ya nos quedamos en el camping de al lado. Siempre hemos disfrutado y este año no fue una excepción. Comimos allí dos veces, cada vez que el servicio era genial, la comida era deliciosa (recomiendo la lasaña y el curry), el tamaño de las porciones son geniales, los niños no pude terminar el suyo era tan grande! También era de hadas, buena relación calidad-precio, el curry era 7.95 y que te pan naan, un poppadum y chutney de mango así como el curry y el arroz, bastante bueno si me preguntan y era preciosa. Mi hermano tenía el sobresaliente un par de veces y las dos veces que era de un buen tamaño. El personal es también encantador especialmente el chico detrás de la barra que se tomó el tiempo para hablar con mi hijo pequeño que había adoptado para brindar nuestros vasos vacíos de vuelta al bar cada vez que estuvimos allí!

We stayed at Newquay on holiday, we caught the number 85 from outside the great western hotel near Tolcarne beach and went straight to holywel bay where we found an excellent pitch&put; course which had challenging&enjoyable; holes. There were go karts,bumper boats&an; arcade as well.

Precioso lugar, pero decepcionante cuando prometen niños una comida y a las 6.30 averiguar el bar ha acabado de varios elementos en el menú. Cuando finalmente consigue encontrar cosas que los niños quieren que luego esperar más de una hora para la comida y el bar para llegar no es completa.

Nice place to go for something to eat at any time of the day. Or to just sit outside with a drink and enjoy the wonderful views of the sea and the gull rocks and have some entertainment watching the pitch n putters teeing off!!

El entorno de Woodys es precioso, con unas vistas estupendas. Sin embargo, hay una clara falta de personal, lo cual resulta en dire servicio al cliente. Había un miembro del personal (hombres) que era simplemente grosero. Le vi 'roll sus ojos' en los clientes varias veces. La comida no está mal, no está mal pero tienes que hacer cola durante 25 minutos para hacer una comida y bebidas de orden.muy frustrante, muchos de los clientes estaban quejando cuando estuvimos allí.

Just went to the bar/restaurant called Woody's, as we were staying in the area...first time at lunch was OK...jacket potatoes etc & were fine. Went back one evening - had to wait 1 hr 15 mins to eat and when we complained we were fobbed off 3 times and ended up just leaving & vowing to write this review. Its a great view & fine for a drink...but don't eat there for goodness sake...when you do get the food its average pub grub...actually, that's an insult to pub grub - avoid, as they don't know when to accept there mistakes & just offer something in compensation for an appalling service...
