Wok Express in Portsmouth

I’ve ordered veg house special fried rice. I was a really disappointing, really watery and soggy meal with a couple of bits of meat and fish, no flavour! Paid £8plus pounds. Phone them they have told me that I have chosen the wrong dish?? Didn’t have any sympathy or tried to accommodate me. Never again!

Brilliant takeaway for a lazy night in. Treated myslef to the duck, chicken balls and spiced chips. The food was great and well flavoured. I recommend if you want to put your feet up and enjoy a good quality Chinese.

Just had take away meal it was absolutely lovely the best we have had for a while x A bit pricey but we'll worth I would absolutely recommend 👌

Phoned for takeaway order. Order arrived well within the time given. Food delicious and piping hot. Have ordered previously and again, food was great and piping hot when it arrived. Will definitely use again.

Don't normally use Wok Express, but only one open on Sunday. Woman serving couldn't hear the order as she was stuck behind a plastic screen. She got stroppy as we had to keep saying the order. Food was ok but greasy, prawn crackers stale, a lot of the chips were small, crispy ones. Will always use Hei Wei along the road or go without!

Have used this takeaway for years and never complained. Never again I could tell from quality of food that there are new people there. Food arrived warmish had to heat in microwave. Satedy sauce looked like brown pickle it was disgusting. Never again

Always get takeaway from here, great service, food always hot and very tasty. Curries are perfect, rice and noodles are very tasty too. Always ready quickly

We have just had the the Thai Green Curry with egg fried rice . Absolutely revolting. The rice had no taste at all and the Thai Green Curry was vile . It tasted of fish and was too salty . A waste of £24 . We will not be using this place again .

Have ordered from this Takeaway many times and never been disappointed. The food tastes great and always comes quickly. Comes highly recommended.

We've been using Wok Express a little while now as our usual Chinese takeaway went downhill and we are never, ever disappointed. The food always arrives piping hot,delivery is quick and the food tastes absolutely amazing. We had to ring tonight to pass on our thoughts and decided to pass on our views here too. Well done guys and keep up the good work! Our favourite Chinese takeaway without a shadow of a doubt!

The lady who answered the phone was really nice and friendly. I ordered chicken and sweetcorn soup, which I’ll have for lunch tomorrow, and chicken fried rice with curry sauce, it was delicious! The sauce was spicy for a Chinese curry sauce, I’m not used to it that spicy, but it was still absolutely delicious. To pinch a phrase from The Terminator “I’ll be back!” Thank you for the menu. We have been using this chinese takeaway for the last few years and have never been disappointed. The food is freshly prepared as one can see in the open plan kitchen. The best Chinese takeaway in the North end.

Great food, prepared quickly, always a high standard. Good choice on the menu. Have started using this takeaway on a regular basis.

Always stale!! Not that great The noodles are thinner than usual but they do taste nice, not amazing. Sweet and sour sauce is very pineapple orientated Chicken balls, 10 full portion, taste great. Eat a prawn cracker before leaving next time, I’ll be demanding fresh ones as they are very poor!

Lovely food but no prawn crackers as advertised and lukewarm! Great communication on phone but food delivered.... that night time take away thirst was very apprant!

Another fantastic takeaway delivery. Fresh, hot & tasty. Great value & great service. Friendly & helpful counter & delivery staff. Have tried other Chinese takeaways but nothing beats Wok Express.

Me and my partner get a take away twice a month from here, we love it. The people there are lovely and the kitchen is open plan, more importantly the food is awesome. We recently moved from Hilsea to Porchester, tried the Chinese there and it was nowhere near as good so twice a month we go to Hilsea just to get the chinese I have no idea how anyone has had a bad experience there? "The food was greasy" ...Uh it's chinese?? It's cooked in oil on a wok, what do you expect??

We have a choice of two local Chinese takeaways and always choose this one. The kitchen is open plan so you can see your food being made, the food is always on time and they give you free prawn crackers/ fortune cookies. The service from the staff is always good and at Christmas they give free chocolate. Food arrives hot and we have always liked the dishes we choose.

we Had a take away for two persons of spicy chicken noodles & chicken curry with rice when we arrived home & opened the containers its wasn't very nice all rammed in & like the other reviver said didn't smell very healthy . i wont be returning again as there are far better takeaways in Portsmouth. but you don't know the good ones till you experience the bad ones & unfortunately this one is one of the latter .

Pedimos comida para llevar chino estándar. A la apertura de un langostino de mein la comida el olor era insoportable. olía a las gambas, estaban claramente. Comida guardados y se pasan a la agencia de los estándares de la comida! asquerosa. El resto de la comida estaba nadando en grasa y completamente apetecible!

This has an Open plan type kitchen, take away food, friendly staff, nice food, recommend!!! Good varied menu! Easy to find
