Wo Sing Chinese Take Away in Shepway

Tonight we ordered from the Wo Sing and sadly the food was a let down and underwhelming. The food was mostly bland and lacked flavour or seasoning. Examples are, the mushrooms and onions were tasteless and swimming in a very thin watery liquid. The egg fried rice was again bland and a bit stodgy. The worst part was the king prawn balls - they were soggy and very greasy. Not crisp and tasty like I am used to at my usual takeaway . The chicken chow mein was also quite greasy and lacking any authenticity. My son said the duck with pancakes was not too bad but he agreed that the majority of the order was bland and under seasoned. Also the hoisin sauce was so thick in the pot it had to be spooned out. The satay sauce was nice and the chips were as expected for chips. The Hong Kong takeaway on littlestone road Was closed for holidays so we thought it would be nice to try somewhere new. Bad decision!! The cash only is inconvenient but worth it if the food is amazing. This was not the case. I called after eating to let them know I was disappointed and had hoped for more understanding. The lady I spoke to was very defensive saying how they have many happy customers and it’s my opinion. She was not empathetic of our bad experience and her idea of customer service is “well we have been open 19 years and have followed our same recipes” and whatever other robotic garbage she replied with. Won’t be back and can’t wait to visit Hong Kong takeaway next time we fancy a treat. It’s like night and day in taste, customer service , price , and quantity. £42 cash paid and enjoyed 10%. The person who served me was very friendly and welcoming, shame about the rest of this experience.

Picture this: Absolutely hammered. Monday night. Stumble into the nearest, greasiest takeaway I can get my incapacitated legs into. And, finally; amazed. Words can't describe the stellar customer service I received here. Till lady - I believe her name is Justin Kong - was doing cartwheels as I read my order, no joke. After I'd finished having a laugh and a jostle with the service staff, the elves in the kitchen got to work. £10 and 10 minutes later I was holding that iconic Wo Sing plastic bag, smiling ear to ear, walking my piss-soaked garments out the door to the nearest memorial bench. The food - oh, the food - was the most phenomenal pile of scran I've ever laid my teeth into. I couldn't wrap my mind around the complex, aromatic flavours - but I could certainly wrap my tongue around them. For what the Kong children may not have in looks, they certainly make up for in culinary ability. I just wish it wasn't so far from Hickleton Main. four stars.

Best chinese takeaway me and my partner have had!! Slight mistake with my order but sorted very quickly. And threw in a free starter. Brilliant 👍🏼

We absolutely love the food from here. Recently moved to the area and figured we'd give it a try, well we have not found a dish that wasn't delicious. Well done to whoever is cooking! Food is usually fast and efficient too.

Worst Chinese ever and eat at least one a week. First off didn’t have dumplings, that should have been the clue they don’t know what they are doing. Then the order we received was wrong and the food we did receive was terrible. Do NOT eat here. Either go to lydd to the Chinese there or try Pegasus on the seafront.

My daughter and I bought a meal on a Friday evening for my mother's birthday treat , firstly and most annoyingly was we walked in and ordered our food to be told payment was cash only ! I mean come on REALLY is this the 1980s ?....hell no it isn't and you all need to pay ya taxes like the rest of us ( not to be judging but we all know why it's cash only)anyway after a 20 minute walk to the other end of the High Street (petrol garage) to find the only free cash point in town we could find, we returned and paid and after waiting nearly an hr for our food ! And they didn't appear to busy (no delivery of course!) We grabbed our expensive meal and went to devour our feast by this time we was ravenous, despite this we found the food to be bland and flavourless small portions and average quality at best ! At best this take away wouldn't last a year in a proper town with other competitors overall the food was very average , prices a little high considering the quality and service was terrible...from our experience 2 stars is being kind and can only see that they stay in business because they have a niche market in a small town .

Not been here for years. Went this weekend because my usual was shut. Food is excellent and tasty. Not sure I'll be going back to my usual.

Good food, call first can get busy and cash only

They only accept cash the only reason I can see for this action in this day and age is because cash isn't tracable like card payments, so we didn't get anything here.

Lovely Chinese We was staying at a local holiday site and family live around the area who always recommend this Chinese. Super tasty

Just eaten my first Chinese meal from here in about ten years and I can honestly say it was amazing ! My son doesn't usually like Chinese but he ate the lot ...The food is to die for ... would Highly recommend and will be using here from now on :)

HAIR IN RICE- poor customer service on Saturday 28th we ordered a meal, just under £30 spent. in the special fried rice was a very long black hair . having phoned the owner (ms kong) the same night we were offered 50p compensation ie £5 in total but the rice which was not edible cost £4.50 The meal was ruined. This is very poor customer service and wont be using this place again A blasé attitude with £5 as your offer of compensation. for the loss of meal no suggestion the evidence was returned, i still have the hair. a 20 minute drive offer of £5 ! inadequate

Have been going to Wo Sing for our Chinese for over 19 years and have found them by far the best Chinese takeaway in the area - nothing has come close! The food is delicious and the staff always polite. Only on one occasion has there been a problem and that was rectified straight away - no qualms. Just good Customer service 🙂

Used due to my regular Chinese being over busy, wish I had not bothered, Food was bland or unappetisingly over salty, prices are higher than others in the area and portions seem smaller. Only scrapped 2 stars instead of 1 due to the staff were pleasant.

Food is excellent quality and very tasty it's very good value for money we travel all the way from Biddenden as it's the only Chinese my partner will use because it is so good

Haven't been here for years. Most of what I ordered was very bland (tofu dish and chicken with cashew nuts) and I had to add seasoning and soy sauce to make it good. However my son said the roast pork was the best he had had.

Good value, not the best but definitely better than average, it will be where we go for Chinese takeaways. They only take cash NO CREDIT OR DEBIT CARDS!!

New Romney residents listen up: you have some fine eateries. We are spending a week on holiday here and are trying to avoid any cooking by eating out and getting takeaways most days...we’ll work on our diets in the Autumn. Our holiday home is about 30 metres from this takeaway so it had to be done. It is cash only which I thought a bit strange in Covid days but that aside, the food was excellent and tonight we treated our two young daughters to a Chinese takeaway for the first time. Responsible parenting all round. Cracking food - we particularly liked the chicken in honey and red wine. A dish with a kick.

Food was excellent and the service is always good. I wouldn't use another Chinese on the marsh, I have tried others before and this always beats them hands down.

Can I take my hat of to you. Yes, did take time to get through on the phone. Yes , 20 minutes wait (accepted). Staff brilliant, service brilliant, food brilliant. Thank you, didn’t think I would miss Chinese food so much. All the success for the future in these difficult times. BILL. Be safe.

Awful absolutely awful. I will never go there again period. Chicken dish was dry with no flavour and the noodles had been drenched in water. Special chow mien had no meats in at all. I simply have not had a worse Chinese. Use at your own peril.

I found the food without any flavour and small portions,miss items from my order as well.The only good thing was the food was hot. Won't be eating from there again.

Quality of food was good, everything was warm and very tasty. However, there was not enough for the price we paid, for four people we would normally spend £25 but this time we spend well over £30.

Great food and friendly staffs. My daughter she is fairly pickie with her food but to our surprised she has finished her bowl of prawn chow mein. We too enjoyed and polished up all the food we ordered. Now we know where to go if I wanted to treat my 6 years old and knowing the will enjoy their food. Would highly recommend it and to give it a try.

I moved a 30 minute drive away from the area over 20years ago yet still drive back to Wo Sing for our Chinese. Have tried endless other Chinese takeaways over the years and nothing comes close. Nowhere sells their deep fried chicken in breadcrumbs with sweet and sour sauce (created by Raymond). Would give it 6 Stars if I could 😁

Delicious Chinese, although always busy because they are so good it's worth the wait. Very friendly staff, you can put in a telephone order and pick up, saves waiting for food to be cooked.

1st time here , don't deliver , food just ok , and the portions were small wont be going back .........

Have had a take away from here three times. No more now. The sweet and sour king prawn balls aren't crisp. Some of the food is watery and insipid.

Excellent take out, hot tasty food, friendly staff. Best Chinese on the marsh. Telephone orders or walk in orders. Not greasy, all packaged well. Give a time for collection and you do not have to wait long to collect.

Bbq ribs in source r salty and oily , probly should hav had the peeking ribs . Chicken balls greesy . Over all the food was bland . Also had chicken chow main & egg fried rice . Massive menu & tellyphone orders r quick . Theres loads more on the menu , but this is wot ive had 2nite . This is wot i thought of it Cheers
