Cheriton Fish & Chips in Shepway

Tasty fish with decent service, not enough or any vinegar on the fish and chips however, which is my only criticism, otherwise decent.

We went here for the first time last night the food was awful the battered sausage was damp with grease and soggy with no crunch and no taste. The fish was exactly the same, the chichen came really dry and with a old roast potatoe as extra. My children refused to eat it and said it was the worst fish and chips they had ever had.

Taste brillant. Got home delivery. Very fast. Food really hot still. Very tasty. Got 2 cod and chips with a can of drink.

absolutely the most horrendous chips I’ve ever had full of the days before frying and surly staff I would recommend avoiding this establishment at all costs I will certainly never darken their doorstep again

Ordered a takeaway of three portions of cod and chips. Very disappointing quality. The fish was ok but the chips were like cardboard. It would not surprise me if they were left over from the night before and reheated. They were bitty and very dry. I would not visit again. Not cheap either.

Amazing pizza, biggest stuffed crust around (15") great toppings & cheese. Popcorn chicken also awesome, great dips, highly recommend!👍 🤤

Picked up a takeaway chips were over cooked two people running it did not pay enough attention to customers order , more interested in takeaway orders was great when main man on site but as soon as he’s not there goes down hill ☹️

My sister and I were walking through Cheriton and decided to stop here for lunch, 2 batter left sausages and a large portion of chips between us that was enough. Quick service and decent price. We took our food to the Cheriton recreation park and enjoyed it. Probably will stop here again if we fancy chips.

The worst chips we have ever had the misfortune to order. My husband had a pukka pie and that was ok but the chips were truly dreadful.

Ordered 2 large cheesey chips with Barely and cheese on,chips tasted like they had been sitting there for ages. We rang the shop and he wasn’t willing to do anything we said we would bring our order back. The owner continued to swear and call me a mug and swear at me down the phone. Will not be returning and telling others about this experience

Tried for the first and last time, unfortunately. Fish was over-cooked and dry, chips/fries had been kept heated for top long, instead of being freshly cooked. Even the savaloy was mediocre and had no spice to it. 2 stars because the portions were decent sized. Will stick to Papa's from now on.

Ordered 2burgers with cheese and chips last night first thing this morning i sick till noon and tats all i ate yesterday so it was nothing else did that to me , gave my family diarrhea so i think this place needs to have a health inspection if its making pple poorly we don't have weak immunes either so its definitely the way they cooked and served it strongly advise pple don't order from there till there's evidence they've passed they're health checks etc fuming !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Portions of chips may be large but the microwaved from Frozen cheese and onion pasty was soggy, soft and tasted vile with a runny filling. Not nice at all.

Fresh cooked fish and chips, and plenty of it. Will be returning. Very clean, and nice staff.

I use these often for a working lunch delivered. Hot food of a good quality and fast delivery. My go to place for Fish and Chips.

Chips are soggy jumbo sausages dry as he'll so wish I could post pictures sea farer opposite ms garage best ever trust me lived here for years

Used this fish and chip shop for the first time a couple of months ago, only reason being that it was open until 10.pm where as far as I know other locals close at 9.pm or earlier. It was lovely fish and chips and also fried chicken and chips were very tasty. Would highly recommend and would not go anywhere else. Staff very polite and small portion was more than enough for us pensioners.

Just eaten the worst fish and chips ever. The chips looked and tasted like they were made yesterday and warmed up. The fish was very oily and small. Has given me an upset stomach. Avoid using this fish shop, only used today as my regular fish shop in Folkestone does not do deliveries at lunch time.

Really nice food served by very friendly staff at reasonable prices. The southern fried chicken is nice and I recommend there large potato wedges which are very tasty and make a change from having chips.

I ordered for my wife and kids at 9pm and still at 10.30 waiting. The shop is now closed no answer at all. We have just moved to town so I can guarantee I will not be getting our usual friday fish and chips from here. If there was a problem with the order then they could have phoned me. As they took my number. Would advised to stay well away.

Lovely fish and at very good price

Rude delivery driver demanded a tip, little did he know I had spent the last of my change earlier that day on hospital parking because my child is seriously unwell. It really ruined what was already a rubbish day. Here’s a tip: get some manners, and maybe a different job. Won’t be getting my custom ever again that’s for sure.

Grabbed food on way home from work, great food served quickly.

Stopped here to get Chips and Pukka Pies, Mushy peas to take on the Eurotunnel. Its about 10 mins drive away. Perfect to eat in the car park or on the train> We enjoyed what we had and the portions were good as well.

The chips were clearly sat there for a while keeping warm, chicken was a lump of dry gristle, halloumi was rubbery and the fish was chewy. Do not order mid-week. £16 in the bin.

Being creatures of habit and wanting fish and chips we were not sure on trying somewhere new but as our usual place was closed we did and I was great the fish was cooked fresh and lasted the journey home as they packed it well the chips where lovely will definitely return
