Wing Yard in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Arrived in Newquay today and fancied something light for tea. After spotting the Wing Yard on a previous visit to Cornwall we thought why not. My partner ordered the 5 chicken wings with korean sauce, and myself had the mac & cheese with plain chicken. Wow what a disappointment. The wings were mediocre. The mac & cheese, the pasta was cold, the sauce was flavourless and chicken tough.

Lovely family run business. Great value for money with the hugest portions of the most amazing food. The sweet chilli loaded fries are delicious

Just moved into the area and saw the great reviews and did not disappoint, the chicken strips are huge! And very tasty We had the chicken burger one with bbq sauce and other sticky and was soo good

I find the name a little misleading as when I first saw the name online I assumed it was mainly Wings which I am not a big fan of! When looking at the menu though I realised it looked quite good and the food was even better when I tasted it! Maybe it should be called Chicken Yard! The chicken was so good! Generous portion sizes and the lady even brought it out to my car where I was waiting which was great service. When we are back in Newquay I would definitely go here again!

I love my food and we are on holiday not far from here. I always check out best food best places in Town🏘️. Trust me this place will not let you down, fantastic staff and the food is great only thing I would say is the size of the portions are on the big size. The chicken stripes should be called XXL chicken 🍗great value for money. The cauliflower yes I did say that 🤦‍♂️ is out of this world 🌍. It is a little 💎 . well done 👍

The best chicken, so so so many flavours and choices. As a fussy eater this place is perfect!! you can chose a flavour and how you want it (i LOVE a wrap) and the sides are a 10/10 hit. Honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough!!!

I ordered the jumbo boneless chicken strips and they were the same size as the chicken strips in the burger. I will not be ordering from this place again unless you increase the size of the strips.

This place is incredible! The lady and gentlemen who we presumed were the owners, were lovely and couldn’t do enough for us! The food is exceptional and the portion sizes are even better! Thank you very much!

Husband & I visited for the first time & we’re not disappointed. Always read about the wing yard being locals but never visited until last night. The chicken burgers we had were delicious, mine was the bbq chicken & husbands was the original & we shared the waffle fries. The burgers looked to good to eat but I managed it! 😊 the gentleman at the till was friendly & smiley. We waited about 15 minutes for a walk up & order. Will definitely be back for another burger & maybe some loaded waffle fries next time. Definitely worth a visit. Would highly recommend. Cheers

massive choice of flavours and how you want it. massive portions, the waffle fries are 10/10. i got the buffalo chicken burger, it’s a pretzel bun which was a winner already. the roof upstairs has seating with a pretty good view, lovely staff. best place for chicken in Cornwall

The best place for chicken by a long shot! I had the lemon pepper wings which were to die for, so buttery and full of flavour. I also had the buffalo boneless strips with a side of blue cheese sauce to dip and again they were delicious! A lot bigger than I expected them to be so couldn’t finish it all, but I’m not complaining. Definitely recommend and can’t wait to go back to try the rest of the flavours!

We visited without calling ahead and our order was completed promptly. There is a good choice on the menu. Two of us went for burgers and one for chicken strips with bbq and garlic mayo. We also got one large portion of waffle fries which we shared generously between three. The food was really really tasty and we will be visiting again

Had buffalo wings and spicy fries. Lovely hot buffalo sauce, wings cooked well. Curly fries excellent. Friendly efficient service. Would recommend. Only thing that could be improved is a seating area close by
