Wimpy Aldershot in Rushmoor

I often call in for a pot of tea in the morning. The staff here really make you feel very welcome. The place is allways spotless. The food is very good as well great place to visit if your in Aldershot. Well worth a visit

Really good service from the staff here, friendly and the food arrived very quickly. The food was pleasant aswell. Hadn't ever eaten at a wimpy before this visit, the signage gives off a burger king vibe but setup is very much burger cafe.

I only went there once for a cheeseburger. The food was okay, nothing special. I am giving this place five stars because the members of staff were very polite and lovely. The seating was very roomy and seems to have adequate space for people with prams. I have never seen it very crowded. The service was also very quick.

I regularly visit Wimpy with my family. Lovely food, very friendly staff and excellent service! Would definitely recommend a visit.

The food was fresh and hot but wasn’t anything special. The staff were pleasant and the tables are clean and spacious.

I often go here when in town and the food is very good and also a nice selection. The staff are always pleasant the order does not take long to arrive and I would highly recommend it.

So as you can see from the title of my review, it quite often smells around this part of the shopping centre. Also the food is extremely overpriced for what it is.

I had a successful day in court and needed sustenance afterwards. Located on Wellington Centre ground floor next to Wilkies there’s plenty of open plan seating at either tables or in booths. Orders are placed at counter (remember table number!) and when we visited, service was quick with cheerful/helpful staff. I considered prices reasonable and menu items good value (sunrise brekkie - £3.60 and whilst not as large as a ‘Spoons offering it looked and tasted freshly cooked). Tables were promptly cleared and overall the cafe looked and felt clean. Wimpy was the go to fast food chain back in the day but now McD and the like seem to have cornered the market which is a shame, as in my opinion staff and general ambience is far better here.

I was very surprised to see fairly good reviews for this place but then realised that all bar one are from 2016/2017 and things have gone very much downhill since then. We had to be in the Wellington Mall one day this week, didn't have much time to eat so with fond memories of the local Wimpy back in the eighties, we went ahead and ordered burger and fries, despite the bizarrely high prices. The burger consisted more of onion and breadcrumb than actual meat which was probably a blessing since the meat was grisly and left a horrible taste in the mouth for many hours after. Will never go back.

Lovely coffee with a complimentary biscuit, served with a smile. Bacon roll was tasty on a toasted, fresh bun. Table was nice and clean and all the menus/sauce bottles had been wiped over.

In the heart off a busy shopping center. Prices are very expensive. Gone are the days off a £4 meal. You can put a 1 in front off that. And that's a basic cheese burger and chips with a small coke. For me.much better outlets else where.

The staff are very efficient and friendly and service is quick at this cafe. The tables and floor are clean and tidy and the open aspect gives a feeling of space. Our knowledge of the food is limited to toast and teacakes, which are pretty good. They do not have their own toilets but there are shopping centre facilities within twenty metres.

I've used this Wimpey many times over the last year and have always found it welcoming with good food and drink. The staff seems to change regularly but this doesn't seem to affect the service. Ideally situated in the lower floor of the Wellington centre in the centre of Aldershot, at the foot of escalators and adjacent to several lifts, it provides comfortable seating as well as functional tables where people can eat, drink or just meet up with friends and colleagues.

It wasn't too bad. We only visited it once and had breakfast there. Just felt it was a bit overpriced. Food wasn't too bad.

The food was okay. The staff lovely and friendly. Bit pricey for what it is. Milkshakes are delicious. Would return here again.

No solemos comer el desayuno en Wimpy en Aldershot sin embargo, un día en particular, visitamos Wellington Mall. Tuvimos una buena tortilla y té. Cuando nos fuimos, me di cuenta de que me dejé mi teléfono móvil. La señora que nos atendió nos guarda mi teléfono móvil y cuando volví, ella era muy servicial. Visita muy memorable!

Aunque estoy familiarizado con la marca Wimpy, al haber crecido en Canadá, nunca he comido en un hecho. Ni siquiera sabía que tenían franquicias en Inglaterra. Es en líneas similares para mí a Frankie + Bennys, justo en un entorno ambientado al en contraposición a un restaurante. Tiene un poco justo en el menú para elegir y un montón de hamburguesas diferentes. Tuvimos una comida de hamburguesas que venía con patatas fritas y una bebida. La hamburguesa era grande y estaba bien, pero, creo que £8.00 era excesivo. No había mucha gente pero la comida llegó rápidamente y estaba caliente. El personal era amable y disfrutamos nuestra comida. No estoy seguro de que volvería de nuevo debido a los precios.

This is second visit in 2 weeks since the 70s as never fancied as thought better burger bars what a surprise good menu suitable for all I went with my mum and 18month grand daughter staff are very good and very helpfull

Love Wimpy! It's a good as it was when I was little and really enjoy visiting here for a lovely burger and chips! This visit was just for a quick coffee with my mum but you cannot fault the service, who clean the restaurant is kept of the quality.

There have always been 3 major 'Burger joints' in the UK. McDonalds, Burger King, and Wimpy. And like most people, that is also the order of preference. Some people may prefer Burger King over McDonalds, but generally Wimpy would be most peoples 3rd choice out of the 3.This place does nothing to buck that trend.The shopping centre in Aldershot is not the most glamorous place in the world, large sections of it remain empty, and those shops that are there are mostly independent stores or low-end retailers. Wimpy can be found tucked away under the stairs underneath Wilko. For those who don't know what a Wilko is- imagine a poor-mans Woolworths.Once you get into Wimpy, it is reasonably well partitioned from the rest of the shopping centre, which is no bad thing. It is clean and well laid out.The menu is quite extensive compared to its other burger joint competitors. Having said that- it is very expensive. You could get a burger and chips in a fairly upmarket pub restaurant for the same money. And yes, as others have said, the food is greasy and the chips are nothing special.Likewise, the staff don't seem best pleased to be there, but they do at least concede that the food is a bit over priced for what it is, so credit to them for that I suppose.Is the food better than McDonalds or Burger King? Possibly not. Is it more expensive? Yes. The only discernible difference is the table waiting service. Is that enough to elevate it above it's rivals?No.

very clean and friendly staff nothing to much trouble the prices are a bit higher than some burger grills but a great menu carries them through.

My boyfriend and I had been shopping on Monday 16th February and wanted to grab something to eat that wasn't like McDonald's, KFC etc, so we decided to go to Wimpy, worst mistake of our lives! The service was miserable and we were spoken to like we were 5 year olds by a girl with a voice that portrayed she would rather be anyone else than work! Then, when the food came, it tasted disgusting, the chips tasted like oven chips and the burgers were so greasy we could barely eat more than two bites and due to the amount of grease, we were left feeling sick for the rest of the day! The price is also ridiculous, £20 for two burgers with chips and a drink?! I'd rather have gone to McDonald's.

I had half an hour spare so dropped in. All very new, food was average but priced quite high. I certainly will not be going back.

I love the Wimpy. The staff are friendly the food is cooked fresh and very efficiently and well and it is excellent value. If I was in Aldershot and wanted an all day breakfast or a burger Wimpey would be my place of choice.

We called in here on Sunday afternoon 14 Dec to have a quick nibble and a drink. The service is very good and the food and prices perfect. We found a free table and perused the menu. You then have to go to the pay station to order your food and pay. Very simple experience just make sure to take your table number with you. The food was well cooked and we had no problems with our meals or drinks. Certainly worth a visit.
