Wimpy in Rushmoor

Popped into Farnborough for a quick few items ....noticed a Wimpy which I have'nt visited for more then 30 years. Service was quick burger and a tea cake cooked to perfection. The restaurant is super clean with spotless floors and tables compared to a MuckDonalds...table service was absolutely perfect with no hovering about which I hate. Will return in the near future and prices very reasonable. Certainly took me back to the 60's / 70's. Rather have a Wimpy over a MuckDonalds any day. 5 stars *****

One of my favourite Wimpy restaurants, always clean, staff polite and friendly, food is always cooked to order so nothing to complain about, highly recommended!

The food was good, and when I payed the staff gave me a Christmas card! Quite literally the best customer service I’ve ever seen in my life and I’ve never drunk colder and fresher Pepsi. Oh and they gave me free chocolate, what can’t these guys do! Honestly incredible staff and experience

Friendly and polite waiting staff but unfortunately the food is awful and pretty expensive for what it is ! First and last time trying wimpy , even my son commented on how horrible is food was.

Me and my Nan went out to lunch at Wimpy in Farnborough. When we arrived, we were greeted well, and we took our seats. Our order was taken and within five minutes, the food and drinks arrived. I’d recommend the simply griddled chicken burger, it’s the best burger I’ve ever had!!! Not an understatement. The pudding was great too. I’d recommend to anybody needing lunch in Farnborough. Also, as a sidenote: as a member of the autistic community, Wimpy had a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. I didn’t feel stressed at all.

Average food, high prices, polite staff. Not the nostalgic trip you may have been hoping for.

Cant moan about the food as you know what your going to get. To be honest is much better than most high st burger joints. The fact the staff are very frendly here and its always spotlessly clean is a big bonus

Be wary of this place. Been here twice this month and both times have been overcharged or short changed. When I questioned it I was not happy with the response. I was accused of being wrong although eventually received a refund of the correct amount. Be warned.

Haven't been in wimpy for years as there is so few and figured I would take my kid for nostalgia.. Honestly shouldnt of bothered.. Its still 100 percent obvious why they failed and honestly they should give up at this point £4 for this pathetic 'mouth watering' burger And £6 pounds for this kids meal. Beyond poor.

Really like eating here, freshly cooked food and very friendly staff; prices pretty good too. Way nicer than McD's. Particularly liking the jam sponge pudding at the moment.

Thought I’d order off just eat and have a wimpy for a change, was surprised to see a triple cheese burger (about £4 in other burger stores) was priced at over £10 I thought this must be the meal price… but no to add a coke and a portion of chips was an extra £6 making a total of over £16, with delivery closer to £20…. At that point I read all the awful reviews and decided I didn’t want Wimpy anymore. No wonder there are hardly any Wimpy restaurants around any more.

Many years have passed since our last visit to a Wimpy. Looking for a quick lunch, and on a whim, we went in. Ordered a wimpy double cheeseburger, used to be my order of choice back in the day. Very disappointed, barely warm, never mind hot. Poor service in that while I was greeted, my wife was ignored. No atmosphere, and there will be no chance of our making a repeat visit.

The staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble and the food is pure nostalgia everytime.

TERRIBLE PLACE. MY DAUGHTER JUNIOR LUNCH CHEESEBURGER, CHIPS & SPRITE £ 5.85. MY CHEESEBURGER (SAME SIZE THEN MY DAUGHTER ONE), CHIPS & TANGO, WAS £ 16.00 AS MY FINAL BILL CAME TO £ 21.85 A REALLY RIP OFF....

Well under par and very disappointing. Pros- Food on the whole was okay with some exceptions and arrived quickly. Like any Wimpy, the old school interior design is charming. Cons- Anyone can have a bad day at the office and I'm not saying I was expecting Michelin star service, however quality of service was below par. Lack of warmth from staff with lack of greetings or a smile and in addition my partner and I felt were quite rude. This was a recipe for quite an uncomfortable experience. Having been to a couple of Wimpys other locations I can say that some menu options do provide decent value. However, I would have to say avoid the international grill at around £13. Although pleasant enough I would say I would value the plate less than that, around the £10-11 mark maximum would be more palatable. Especially since the beef burger provided was lacking in flavour. Conclusion- A shame really. My previous experience at a Wimpy in Chatham was a positive suprise. Good service combined with decent value. However this experience cannot be described as such. I have to give 1 star purely due to the service. Note-Based on one service take this review with a pinch of salt, some other regular visitors may find the experience more enjoyable.

Excellent customer service, really enjoyed our meals!

Unbelievably rude and overpriced fortunately for them the milkshake was actually half decent so it should be though for £3.90 for A MEDIUM yes a medium not a large the man at the counter was quit rude.

Lovely experience we went with the family wimpy serve 100 percent beef a bit disappointed that chips aren't included with the meals but overall great experience

Awful burgers. All the food in our order was tasteless and bland. Absolutely not to the same standard as we've had at other Wimpys. Very disappointed and will definitely not be back.

Really disappointed with our visit today. Ordered a breakfast muffin which was very good but the cheese and bacon burger we had was horrible. Bacon was basically just fat, hardly any cheese and the meat of the burger itself was tasteless. Not to mention the cost, over £10 for a burger, chips and milkshake - outrageous for the quality

This is a good Wimpy. Always clean & very polite service. Never had to wait long for service or delivery of food.

Less than 5 minutes to cook our meals, could hear the microwaves going, if I fancied a microwave burger I would have just bought a rustlers for £1 and saved the other £20. Benders... I've never tasted anything so off/rancid before in my life! After one bite we sent the benders back and got them removed from our bill, have been throwing up all night. Milkshake was full of ice. Really poor, will stick to the Basingstoke restaurant.

Popped into Wimpy Farnborough, as we were over that way…… wish we hadn't have bothered. Worst Wimpy we have ever had!! Back to Bourne End next time.

Very expensive not worth the money

Went for a breakfast and we had their breakfast muffins. They were good and tasty, love the cooked at home feel, they arrived on proper plates with cutlery. The fried eggs were proper fried eggs, with runny yolks, not cooked in a mold like another fast food breakfast muffin from a well known company who offer mass produced sameness! There was something original, welcoming and retro about the whole experience! Great friendly service as well!

First time using this wimpy bar , staff were very rude. I ask for a take away kids meal for my son & they questioned who it was for. Then tried to say it didn’t come with a pudding when it clearly stated it did on their take away menu. Paying £5.20 for a kids meal you expect more than just a burger & chips !! Definitely won’t be visiting there again. 🤬

Can't claim to have eaten here, didn't actually get that far. I walked in and was quite disturbed by how dirty the place was - it looked like it was in dire need of a good clean. I could see beyond the counter and it was mess back there too. I took a look the price list but i was uneasy about ordering from here, it just was not up to my cleanliness standards.

Wimpy Burgers were lovely. The sweet potato fries were bit overcooked.

A very quiet restaurant for a Saturday night and for the laugh we got it's worth 3 stars. Food wasn't all that but the waiter was hilariously bad. He would wander off half way through things and mumble.

Service was good and food standard, but why is there a menu item entitled "Bender in a bum". It's not needed, and could be perceived as derogatory and offensive.

Table service and food on a plate is good for a burger joint. I haven't been to a Wimpy for years, but the food doesn't seem as good now.

Well I have to say probably the worst meal we have ever had there. New people have taken over. The milk is not fresh milk, its UHT out of a carton, YUCK. The burgers a classic cheese was ok, but missing the usual chopped onion the lettuce was minimal no tomato or cucumber or side salad as they use to have, the price was definitely more than before covid for less on the plate, service from the man was terrible didn't even speak to us, however the girl was great. Think it was possible her first shift or first week, was watching how the man spoke to her, family I think as he did not seem very nice to her. So if you want the usual wimpy service and dish / drinks dont go here.

Was visiting Guildford model railway shop and wanted to go to Wimpy restaurant for lunch, the nearest Wimpy restaurant being in Farnborough, it was a lovely main meal and desert washed down with hot chocolate topped with cream, yummy.

Allways give Wimpy 5 stars as I just love Wimpy restaurant's, had a lovely meal followed by ice cream with strawberry sauce and chocolate flake washed down with hot chocolate topped with cream.,seriously yummy.

I ordered a meal from you on Uber eats. It took so long to get here that it was stone cold and my ice cream was melting. The lettuce in the bun was going brown and the chips were really dry as if they had been made ages before the were sent out. Really not happy with my meal. I order from you all the time and this is the first time that this has happened.

Cold food....reheated bacon and sausage..not nice!!

Store was full of delivery bags of Just Eats. Less people at the outdoor seating.

Ordered via Just Eat - Terrible Food Quality and very expensive considering what you get! The burger meat / quality is practically a Rustlers burger yet they want £10+ for a meal... The chips were very generous with the portion size but again there wasn't any seasoning or anything special. If you fancy the double cheeseburger meal like we did save yourself £20 and pop to Sainsburys, grab a Rustlers & McCain oven chips and you'll have the same meal...

Great measures in place for safety, and tasty food, but not the value I was expecting

We visited when we passed by and saw the Wimpy name however I would recommend you avoid. The food was substandard even for fast food with only the sweat potatoes fries getting pass makes. The toilets were disgusting and the meal vastly overpriced.

The staff and especially the owner is very kind. Food is always hot and fresh. This branch in Farnborough is open on Sundays and they follow the guidelines to keep safe during covid. Good job guys!

Friendly staff and always great food

Where to start, rude staff arguing with us after we saw them touching food and putting it back in the fryers with bare hands, scratching there face then going to pack our food all without washing there hands inbetween Straws put back into boxes after being handled and put on counters and only one person out of 5 was wearing a mask. 100% would not recommend going there... stay away till they learn some simple hygiene

No masks worn by any of the kitchen staff only customer side. The quality of the food was ok and it was organised and the food came out quickly but where they had sanitiser out for customers the no mask wearing disturbed me: this cannot be right

Very quiet, unfortunately they got rid of the excellent old branding but the service was quick and the food was decent, but expensive though.

Came here today after the Farnborough half marathon. We took our son here and he loved it, our local wimpys have now closed so we last had a wimpy about 15 yrs ago. Still tastes as good as we remember. Staff were very friendly and quick

After a parking misunderstanding at the rear of the premises my wife and I were approached by two members of staff and was told I was going to get stabbed one of the men went to get a knife, at which point I left.

Visited Farnborough for a day trip. Thought I would give wimpys a try for the first time in 40 odd years. Had the all day breakfast was surprised to get chips but that was my fault for not asking what you got.But I really enjoyed it so not complaining. Staff were very friendly if I'm in Farnborough again I will definitely be back.

Food was nice, however food came at different times. Staff were ok. However took my plate, whilst others where eating (on my table) which is unusual. Overall ok. Would come again

Chicken salad was good with fresh salad. Coleslaw that came with it had too much dressing for my taste. Staff was friendly?, polite, and helpful.

Well. We ordered a cheeseburger and a double cheeseburger. Changed regular fries on one to sweet potatoe and added coleslaw on the other. We had a coke and a bottle of water. £19.75!!!!! Wow. The burgers were tasteless. Should've gone to macdonald . Don't waste your money.

Food was great and fresh. Service fantastic. Nice crunchy chips. Loose a star as table and menus were sticky.

Awful customer service. Ordered from Just Eat, found a hair in my burger, we phoned the resturant and almost straight away the manager got defensive and accused me of putting it there. Hasn't changed since I was a kid. Fast(ish) food on a plate. The best burgers and milkshakes anywhere. Every town needs a Wimpy.
