Wimpy in Broxbourne

Revamped a few years back and new owners. Appears to be family run, the owners are very very VERY nice people. The food I would say is better than ever, the standard wimpy burger is quite plump with fresh salad dressing and optional sauce. Chicken wrap is succulent with generous amount of chicken and salad. Can't fault it really, several classes above McDonald's and Burger King. Overall a very nice lunch with my two daughters.

Wimpy is a place to eat occasionally because of the price. The food itself was OK, but no burger is worth that price. The atmosphere was average, but then again, what else would you compare it to? The service was faultless. The staff were very hospitable and efficient. Overall, I have been eating at this Wimpy since 1988. Although it has changed hands and had a major refurbishment in the past few years, it has only enhanced its appeal.

Good fresh food, a little pricey for a burger, and drinks are too expensive.

Man the prices for this bare average cafe food is insane. I mean 1 coke non refill is nearly £5 absolutely mad. If it was refill then yes no problem. Food quality is barley average

Lovely food, really clean, friendly & helpful staff.

We come here regularly as a group of mums with kids tagging along. My guilty pleasure are the cheesy chips - delicious! The kids all love their meals as do we and it's very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend as a value for money, kid-friendly diner with lovely staff and clean facilities.

One off the Best wimpy restaurant in the uk tried over 20 different wimpy restaurants definitely the best. Very nice clean restaurant with happy staff always checking on us if we need anything else.The food was fantastic and our order was quick with no faults.Thanks again for the service

Kids waffles with ice cream! Really delicious, good size portion and so well priced.

Was able to adapt the menu meal to be gluten free and had ice cream with chocolate flake and Strawberry sauce,found out that the manager lives near to me.

We visited Cheshunt and I knew there is a Wimpy Restaurant there so we had Lunch there and I had ice cream with peppermint tea, Yummy.

4 stars food nice and hot but to many chips I ask small amounts of chips and still to many and mayo not cold would come back again

Great to still have a Wimpy around but please please please lose the abysmal screeching, warbling cover versions of songs playing in the background or make them even more in the background (ie. Silent) - thanks

Well now these places are really amazing and great food options too. But not many of them around and I remember them from back when I was a child going in to sit down and order the lovely then straight afterwards having that lovely brown Derby. OMG these were the day's.

What else can i say.. Still the same delicious, service etc as when i went to the wimpy 30 yrs ago. Who hasnt had a wimpy. I have to b honest, it is better than macdonalds. Defo give it a visit!

Crazy sky high prices At least offer refill drinks or a family deal Why Would you bother if you can get McDonald’s nearly half the price

I mean look the food is nice however the prices are a bit crazy for a wimpy which is basically cafe food (nice food) And 3.99 for 1 non refill drink is also way too much. I think trying to lower the price of food would be beneficial and definitely can't be charging nearly £4 for 1 glass of coke that's a joke

Fresh food, really nice not greasy. Friendly nice staff. My only criticism is the price of 1 pepsi Max £3.98 absolutely way too much. I wouldn't mind if it was free refills. Would definitely come back

Was staying nearby, so I thought I'd try Wimpy was a rainy day, so I might as well dine in service was friendly when we entered sat us down straight away food didn't take long at all I ordered a BIG N MIGHTY burger very nice would definitely recommend a visit 😀

We went out of curiosity as neither of us had been to a Wimpy for decades. As others have said "Great food, great service and very clean". Hamburgers, Brown Derby's, Ice cream shakes.....it was like going back to the 70's but without the flares! We will definitely return again soon

Always a pleasure coming to this restaurant it brings back many happy memories as a child. The staff are very friendly and helpful it's just a shame there aren't more wimpys around anymore and this is on our doorstep.

Visited here with our grandson for lunch. The experience was exceptional! Service was 1st class, food was more than generous and very reasonably priced. We will definitely visit again.

Wimpy Wednesday what's not to love!

Wonderful service and incredible, nostalgic food. Even the buns are worthy of a special mention, free as they are of sesame seeds that can be a health hazard for some (like me). I absolutely love it when work takes me into "Wimpy" territory and I can endulge my love of burgers (and Wimpy Special Sauce!) without stressing that it could land me in hospital in absolute agony.

Have visited this wimpy several times for simple lunches or after pre-school ice cream treats. Service and food is always great! Restaurant is clean and comfortable and all round a fantastic place to bring kids.

Was very disappointed had quarter pounders with cheese and bacon , were very dry burger was hard and roll top kept breaking up , lots of chips though .Chocolate milk shake didn’t taste of chocolate and was more a pale coffee colour thought it was salted caramel ,for price I’ll stick to McDonald’s

Disappointing breakfast! …overcooked with poor quality sausages and chewy bacon! …even the cappuccino was average at best!

My family have and I have used the wimpy in cheshunt for over 20years and they have always been amazing. Yet to have a bad meal and the milkshakes are the best by far

Wimpy at Cheshunt is great! Nice change from the normal large burger chains, and burgers are served in wholemeal buns which adds a nice flavour. Shakes are great as well....and the milkshake machine at Wimpy works, unlike Mac's! So give the Cheshunt Wimpy a visit...clean restaurant, clean toilets, good service.....and great food!

SO overpriced.. in current times £37 for 3 meals in a Wimpy isn’t acceptable. Also, Frankfurter looked liked it had been left out in the Sahara Desert. On the plus side, staff offered good service.
