What a gem! We have visited on a number of occasions this year with our children, (including Sunday roast, mid week dinner and birthdays) and each time the food and service have exceeded our expectations. Some of our favourites include the giant yorkshire and the panko veggie burger. And we loved when they made a real fuss of the birthday child! Would thoroughly recommend (ps make sure you book!)

Came here on Tuesday with group 6 people and we all said the food was really nice I had rack ribs and sticky toffee pudding and it good to know that there is a place that has loads gluten free deserts on menu other than ice cream plenty choice.

Very disappointed with my Christmas Party dinner. My food was served like slop swimming in gravy.I had no choice and was not asked if I wanted gravy.The chicken was dry like chewing cardboard and full of chicken rib bones.Sitting in company constantly taking bones out your mouth is embarrassing.I had no roast potatoes no Yorkshire pudding.. I thought that was standard with roast chicken dinner. The Christmas pudding tasted microwaved and as it was only warm when I got it it cooled fast and again hard and dry. The Manager was aware of a celiac guest and personally served pate with standard bread. Clearly they can't come with volumes choose quantity over quality and have NO duty of care with a dietary requirement when told about in advance but blamed it on their system and did not follow their own instructions that they gave to us. We were charged a £10 deposit per person when the staff spoke about the deposit being £5. All in all .. .they can't cope with a fully restaurant and quality and care slides severely.

Been to bulls head a few times. Can't fault it. Food good, service good. Would recommend. 10/10

Great local pub with quick food options, really well decorated and kept to a high standard. Price is reasonable, and there is a vast selection of food and drink available to order. All staff were really helpful, attentive and knowledgeable of their menu. Ordering food and drinks via the app to the table is excellent. I think it was the quickest I've ever been served a Sunday lunch. Car park available but can get quite busy on the weekend. Highly recommend

I had the roast beef, the meat was lovely shame about the rest of the meal, the potatoes and yorkshire pudding were inedible, I am only writing this as I couldn’t get a waitress to stop at our table to tell them.

Took my granddaughter after her first job interview. Lovely atmosphere and food was delicious . All staff very attentive and helpful. Granddaughter had “The best sausage pasta” she’s ever had (and she’s picky). Not a big eater I had a delicious jacket spud with chicken breast, sour cream and salad with pomegranate on top. Am looking forward to my second xmas meal with friends in December. Came last year and none of us could fault the food, atmosphere or staff. There was about 14 of us and on this busy, busy night all our food arrived at the same time and with our names on it. Well done to all staff, keep up the excellent work.

A lovely pub with delicious Sunday roast and desserts. They also have a doggie menu, our greyhound was very happy with the grilled chicken.

I highly recommend the roast dinners! You can even have your entire roast served in a GAINT Yorkshire Pudding! Very tasty. Pub is lovely and staff are very friendly, would certainly recommend.

We were a group of old colleagues meeting for a reunion lunch and were made very welcome by the staff and left to chat with drinks and not rushed to order our lunch. My burger was very good but the two people who ordered steak were disappointed and did finish their meal,sweets and coffee were adequate.

We love this place for food. They do a Yorkshire pudding that is bigger than your head 😂food is brilliant, service is great and they always manage to get us booked in no matter how busy they are. It’s such a nice atmosphere. Plenty of seating in and out! Would recommend

Had an evening family meal here, 11 of us, Sat 17/08. Food was OK, nothing great, a few had the flat iron steaks, unfortunately very gristly & chewy, not impressed. Has the food quality gone down, general opinion, yes. Whether something has changed in the kitchen. ?

Really wanted the Lamb shank but due to dexterity issues I would have had problems cutting the meat from the bone. Our waitress, Tikara said the bone could be removed, then asked if it would be helpful if the meat could be cut up for me, plus anything else I would have trouble with. This help from the kitchen meant I could enjoy my meal without struggle or embrassement. If Tikara hadn't suggested this help I would have chosen something else. The lamb was cooked to perfection. So abig thank you to her & the Bulls Head. Came here the other Monday, Tikara again was our waitress. As a person with disabilities all the staff are welcoming & I cannot thank them enough. But can we have a few more disabled parking bays please.

My in-laws took me here for lunch as it's their usual, . Excellent and friendly service, great atmosphere and the burger I had was perfect, well cooked and fresh. Highly recommend

One of my favourite go to places. Lovely relaxing atmosphere.. very clean.The staff are very friendly , attentive and efficient. The food arrived quickly, was well cooked and hot. It’s not expensive fairly priced. Try it, you’ll return again and again. On the day we went the weather was very hot (low 30s). The air con was also delicious.

Came here for a spontaneous weekend lunch. We were seated inside and surprisingly, it was very clean and beautiful for a pub. Very child-friendly as well. Food wise, we had the burger and the baby back ribs. The burger was alright, a bit overcooked and the baby back ribs were a bit dry. But nonetheless, we would still want to come back and maybe try the Sunday roast one day. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area or just happen to drive past.

Amazing ambience, customer service and food!

Popped in for a quiet late lunch, on the hottest day of the year so far, it was crammed! Despite how busy it was we were served quickly by polite, friendly staff. The food was also served relatively quick and was delicious. Will definitely go back if I'm in the area.

A lovely place, seats are well distanced from each other, allowing a private meal. The decor is pleasant. The staff were great. We didn't have a specific member of staff, but who ever was near you would take order, clear plates, etc, it sounds a little chaotic but worked well. The menu was above a pub, with specials on a chalk board. The food was good, displayed well and tasted lovely. The price was OK, maybe a monthly treat.

This pub has a good atmosphere, perfectly reasonable food and great deserts. My quibble with them is the apparent 1.5 hour limit on a table for 3. This is really not very long to leisurely enjoy a 3 course meal with maybe a drink or coffee afterwards. On my last 2 visits we have been told that the next booking has arrived and can we please accept the bill and vacate the table. On each occasion I was not aware beforehand that we had such a short time limit on the table. I don’t think it is unreasonable to expect a 2 hour slot to eat a meal. For this reason I will not be returning.

I discovered it for the first time yesterday thanks to my girlfriend, the location is really great, the food and the service definitely deserve 5 stars🙏🏻🙏🏻

Although I'm local to be honest I've always drove past & my daughter kept saying try the bulls head it nice so I thought why not & I've got to say that all the staff are chatty perlite & fun so much so that we've become regulars my last experience was with the waitress Tik who was great too.

Warm greeting, staff attentive but not intrusive. Now the food that’s certainly worth the drive up from kent I’ve never seen such a big Yorkshire pud. Food excellent ( and I don’t give praise too easily). Just wish I had room for desert. Fantastic meet up with family, excellent food and nothing else to eat until tomorrow.

We have had several meals for special family meals. We have enjoyed the food and especially my son, who's the fussiest as well as our grandson who's a fidget too.

It’s such a lovely pub I love coming here, had a great waiter called Alex he was so polite and made me and my friend felt so welcoming, you need more waiters like him! Would definitely recommend coming here I love it here every time!

Lovely food. Our experience was soured by a very unprofessional member of the waiting staff.

Disappointed been on a few occasions before. service and food was good but felt let down on last two occasions sat down on time but kept waiting about 15 minutes before I had to get up and find someone to take our order was not asked if we required anymore drinks food arrived looks very good but felt let down with only two roast potatoes a very small amount of greens and minimal amount of meat but loads of peas and carrots the extra large Yorkshire pudding was dry and Powdery. Just one other point it seemed if you are a regular staff seemed to attend to them quicker they were seated and served drinks very quickly .

Love this pub, the food is not brought in and it's honestly genuinely good. The service is fantastic, the lady that greeted us came over and talked to us at the end of our meal. The décor is quirky and welcoming. I had the giant Yorkie and I rarely eat beef but it was tender and yummy, it did however defeat me. Hubby had the cod and prawns which he described as mmmmmmm. Thank you for making my birthday meal a lovely experience.

Sunday roast felt like it was sitting under a hot-lamp, was dry, hard and lacking flavour. The oversized Yorkshire pudding was dry and burnt sitting on top of the plate, they charged £11.70 for two shy slices of dried out turkey and a bit of undercooked frozen veg. The drinks are too expensive for the location, a pint is over a fiver and they charged us over £4 for a lemonade with a dash of grenadine! The place was so unnecessarily over staffed and some were rude, unpleasant and felt like they were there for their own social time. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, it’s only popular locally due to the location and lack of other options.

Very nice pub to have a drink with friends or dine with your family. Service is good and people who work there are very nice and helpful. Outside area has few heaters and will make your night visit more pleasant if you are lucky to have a table below them. With few more heaters the place will make a difference from the other pubs in the area.

Travelled down from Wakefield to experience one of their famous Yorkshire puddings and boy that did not disappoint. Absolutely amazing, definitely worth the trip and will be coming again. 👍

My friend and I went to visit the Bulls Head for the first time. We really enjoyed it! The guys working there were very friendly, the atmosphere was fun and chilled, especially with the little lights in the evening and we really liked the food. Best nachos we've ever had! Oh and, good cocktails too at a good price. We'll definitely be back! Update March 2024: Even when it wasn't warm enough to be outside like in our last visit, we had a great time. Saying that, they have tables outside with umbrellas and heaters. Everyone at the bar is so friendly. Tonight they had some DJ music too and the place was so lively. Shame I don't live closer but I'm coming back for sure!

Firstly. A big thank you to the staff who were run of their feet and running round like headless chickens bless them, they couldn't do enough to please their customers. Hubby was desperate to try the GIANT YORKSHIRE PUDDING so we settled on a beef roast in a "gyp"and a normal beef roast. The beef was gorgeous. Peas and cabbage great, carrots a little hard, gravy way to watery for me. and the roast potatoes leaved a lot to be desired. Tastless and hard. The place us very busy so obviously people dont mind them. When you are paying 20 quid for a roast I expect better. My son had fish and chips but didn't like peas so asked for salad instead which consisted of pomegranate grated carrot and pepper. Wish I had known cos all he wanted was a normal salad !. The menu is very limited. No pasta !..... However. The nachos were amazing. Best I've ever had. Wish I had just had double nachos !

Been going to this pub for the last 3 years, had a couple of minor issue's in the past that when mentioned to the waitress was never sorted out, this time was the worst, roast potatoes were that hard you could've used them as golf balls, could not cut or pierce them, told the waitress and she said she would tell the chef, i heard nothing more (as usual) the cauliflower cheese was very bland, used to be good food but not anymore, slowly gone down hill, paid and left never to return.

A lovely pub with an excellent food menu and gorgeous food. It's definitely a family favourite and the landlord and staff are very customer oriented. They are a very busy place especially if you want to eat and booking a table in advance is a must. If you want to a lovely Sunday roast then I would recommend that you book a table at least a couple of weeks in advance and on special days such as mothers day and Christmas time then you really need to reserve your table months in advance it's so popular the setting inside is lovely and it's wheelchair friendly. The garden is huge and very popular on warm and sunny days. You will have a brilliant time if you go for a drink or use the restaurant. Children are welcome in the restaurant and I can't praise it enough.

We occasionally stop by this pub on our way to the grocery store for a refreshing drink and a satisfying meal. This time, we opted to indulge in a traditional Sunday Roast, and it turned out to be a splendid decision. Despite the bustling crowd, the service was excellent, and the food was simply delightful. The generous portions and flavorsome dishes left us impressed; I particularly enjoyed the succulent roast chicken that was perfectly moist. The abundance of rich gravy complemented the meal well, and the colossal Yorkshire pudding filled with slow-cooked beef was exceptionally delectable. The dessert was a delightful conclusion to our feast, leaving our stomachs content. Leaving the pub without feeling fully satisfied is nearly impossible.

Honestly, best place to go when you’re hungry. Me and my bestfriend go every monday and we’re greated with the warmest welcome. Amazing place!

Amazing place to come for your Birthday with your friends and family. I had a Birthday plate saying Happy Birthday and I was given a free dessert with a Birthday candle on for my Birthday thanks so much to Waiter Tanya and all the others Waiter are amazing to. Thanks so much for making it special.
