We always have great food here ! There’s a varied menu for vegetarians , this time I had the Ravioli dish and it was delicious 😋! My partner had the Cyprus mix ( which he loves )! Always welcoming with great service ! This pub food never disappoints 😀 .

Not been for a few months so a visit was well overdue. I dropped the pub an email and got a very quick reply from Kristy, confirming our booking for the following day, so thank you for that. What I love about this place is the diverse menu. The beer is pretty good and the Malbec was excellent. Went for the BBQ and Blue Cheese Chicken Wing starter…….lovely. The Cyprus Mix was to follow and did not disappoint. All in all a lovely lunch and I won’t leave it so long next time.

A very cosy pub by Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Really enjoyed my portion of chips which were served in a basket.

Popped over to Rye Harbour, decided to have lunch here, sat outside overlooking the harbour. Great food and reasonably priced.

We had been before, and had simple whitebait and chips, which was ok, this time we were very disappointed. My husband chose the fish and chips. The fish was cooked but the batter was not, it was oily and raw on the inside, very unpleasant. I had the moussaka, which was served with a 'salad' the tiny portion of moussaka lacked taste, there was very little meat and courgettes had been substituted for aubergine, not what I expected from a moussaka. The salad was a watery and tasteless tomato cut in quarters with a little chopped cucumber and a couple of thin slices of green pepper with a sliver of feta cheese on top. Moussaka priced at £17.50 was extortionate! Nobody came to ask if we were ok, and we left quite a while after finishing our meal but our plates were still there when we left. We won't be going back.

Excellent Pub, Lovely Cypriot / British food. Dog friendly. Definitely must visit. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Can be breezy when sitting outside. A great pub, to visit in Rye Harbour.

Use to go here quite often as food was good. Went a year ago and food poor. No improvement this time - in fact worse. Hot day so decided to take dog out for evening run at Rye Harbour and then try again for dinner afterwards as this pub is a nice location with views of the estuary and sailing boats. It was very busy as August. Outside tables and chairs not very clean. No welcoming staff . After quite a long wait (didnt mind that as nice views) food arrived a , again, disappointed. Pitta bread burnt round edges and smeared with zatziki and onions with meat on top. Pitta bread was soggy and meats were very salty and didnt taste homemade. Very poor presentation. Dogs lucky day as she had most of the pitta bread! Glass of red wine was nice. Mocktail was aweful - just tasted like lime cordial and cheap lemonade. Wish we had come back home and done our own bbq and not wasted our money on poor food and unfriendly service

Desperately disappointing experience. One of our parties food did not come come despite several reminders, rather than apologising. All they could do with. Give us excuses as to why one of the dishes have been forgotten. In the end we had to take the meal home as a takeaway because we ran out of time to eat and this person had to return to work. One of my party had a plate of chips which was a third of a portion of what I would expect for it. I have never given such a bad review for Restaurant before, but this one was absolutely justified.

We ordered drinks then meals when pub was not very busy and heard staff tell other customers after half an hour that there was no fried food available.more people were arriving and we asked what appeared to be manageress what was going on by now getting on for an hour after arrival she stated we should have been told when ordering no chips available and expect at least 40 min wait as they were short staffed. Our meals had substitute items in stead of chips and didn't appeared to have been freshly cooked ,the meats were not hot. Staff did not come to table to ask whether we were satisfied and we definitely were not leaving half the meals, and were presented with full price bill.we will not be returning to this pub.

After reading reviews we came to try and we are 2 kids 2 adults and was really looking forward to dinner however left feeling sad . I never mind paying for a good meal . We all ordered different and a burger was burnt and over cooked plus all chips were lukewarm warm . Our bill was nearly £100 and we only had a drink each . I would expect to get fresh tartar sauce with fish and chips at that price not a pkt . Left feeling sad and cheated and it was our 6 yr old who pointed out about the burger . You just need to up your game especially as the holiday season won’t last . Lots of dogs there which is nice to see and outside seating

Lovely location, terrible, careless cooking which left me ill. How can they get it this wrong? Undefrosted food. Bad chips. Badly cut vegetables. And not even cheap. They apologised . Lots of smiles. I couldn't accept a replacement as I was already feeling queazy after 20 minutes. Avoid eating there.

Nice comfy pub in rye Harbour, dog friendly, serves Greek dishes mainly, we only had nibbles and starters but was nice and fresh with a nice range of beers on tap and friendly staff

Popped in for a light lunch after a long walk. The food arrived quickly, and was faultless. Really enjoyed the sharing platter, and the kids fish and chips was excellent. Top marks!

I honestly can’t believe the good food reviews. This is the second (and last) time we’ve eaten here. The food, yet again, was pretty awful. This time we had the Greek Mini Meze Sharing Platter. The only thing remotely edible was the pitta bread. It really was atrocious. The fish and chips wasn’t great but edible (just about). The chips were not nice at all. Last time we visited I had a salad that was inedible (I literally left the whole thing). The service was good it’s just the “terrible quality” of the food. NEVER AGAIN……

Had a lovely Easter lunch with all the family which included 4 young children. We were made so welcome. Food was amazing with a great choice. Service was outstanding, our lovely server was absolutely great and we didn’t see her without a smile on her face once! Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!! We will certainly return.

We went in for dinner but I decided I hadn’t liked the dinner in there the day before so opted for just chips and a dip and I wasn’t even given a plate! I should have said something but I was so disappointed, this was to celebrate our anniversary! Very disappointed. Lovely staff though.

80th meal for mum. main dishes - chicken souvlaki was disappointing over dry chicken [to long under heat lamp maybe) served on soggy wet pita - not nice. Fish batter was seriously over greasy with the fish & chips. Service was not good at all, waitress disappeared not helpful, lovely location let down by waiting staff & poor food.

Booked last minute on the way to camber. Literally plugged ‘pubs camber’ into google maps and this seemed to have good reviews. So we called and booked a table. It was great! Lovely staff. Lovely pub food. Great atmosphere. Glad we booked as even on a Wednesday afternoon it was busy. Would return.

Brilliant Beers, and fine location would recommend for the location and a Fab pint. Reluctant to order any food as the outside pic-nic tables had dog ends galore under your feet and discarded sauce sachets that had been around for some time ! Not conducive environment for alfresco dining !

A cosy pub with a limited menu (we had decent burgers, excellent fish and chips and a terrible warm chicken salad - whem mentioning that there was a plateful of leaves with a smattering of small pieces of chicken, we were told 'thats how it comes'). So, come here for a decent beer, a large suntrap of a garden, great fish and chips, substantial burgers but simply terrible salad).

We went to this pub because we got told there was music the music was brilliant but the drinks and service was fabulous.we come again next August bank holiday if u have more music.

A bit rough and ready but very friendly. Fairly restricted menu. The portion sizes are on the meagre side. Good location

Disappointed with the overpriced food. We chose the Greek options but we’re disappointed. It came without salads and no chilli sauce, no garlic sauce. Basically a flatbread with a stingy portion of yogurt and some tomatoes with your meat choice. Not good, so unlikely to be going again.

Had warm chicken salad which was nice, but got a "mini meze" as a takeaway, the Cyprus sausage was like something from mattersons! The smallest pot of humous, pitta bread, the Cucumber, tomatoes were nice, £14? Ask for olives to go with it a small pot consisting of 5 black olives and 1 green, £4??? You sure?!! It's a nice pub and outside area but I think I'd just use it as a pub!!

With the Inkerman Arms up the road not reopening after the pandemic lockdowns this leaves the William the Conqueror as the last man standing in Rye Harbour and the only place for an ale for those exploring the Rye Harbour nature reserve or those holidaymakers who get fed up with the on-site bar at the Rye Harbour Holiday camp. Fortunately, it’s a fairly decent Shepherd Neame pub providing beer and food for the few locals and the tourist hordes in the summer months.
From the outside it looks very much like a lot of the houses that sit on one side of this dead end road and could easily be mistaken for one if it wasn’t for the pub branding and the outside seating area opposite.
Internally it is a long thin space with a nautical theme throughout. The front section has seating on both sides of the central walkway and benefits from the large bay window to the left. The second section has the bar on the left and seating to the wall on the right and then beyond the bar is an additional room set to wooden tables and chairs. The outside space opposite the pub has a mixture of open tables and individual beach hut style undercover booths.
The bar supports three Shep Neame ales which were Master Brew, Whitstable Bay and Citra Smack for our visit and there was Spitfire Bear Island, West Coast, IPA and Whitstable lager on keg. I went for the Citra Smack, and it was on excellent form and probably a better pint than the one of the same beer I experienced in Hastings the previous day.
Although we did not try it the food menu was interesting as I believe the current landlord is Cypriot and the menu was a mix of traditional Greek dishes alongside the usual fish and seafood dishes. 
I thought it was a good pub and hope it thrives and survives. If not there will be a lot of thirsty and hungry people walking the nature reserve in future.

Shocking service and food! Apparently Greek but tinned vine leaves, stale baklava and rude staff! What a shame as the location is picturesque but the food certainly isn’t authentic!

Come here often with my family and recently with friends. All agree the fish and chips is superb! Some of the best I've had. Good selection of beers too and lovely spot right by the river and lifeboat station. Definitely worth stopping at when you visit Rye Harbour.

We absolutely love this gem of a pub. Our second year returning to Rye Harbour and we headed there as soon as possible. Lovely friendly staff who bent over backwards to accommodate our large family. Beautiful food (highly recommend the warm chicken and feta salad!! ♥️) and a great selection of beers. Definitely one of our favourites when visiting the area and one not to be missed!

The pub serves great Cypriot food. It offers delicious gluten free Cypriot dishes and they are very accommodating. Good choice of all drinks, especially ales and soft drinks.
