Had a lovely carvery. We were a group of 20 & were looked after very well

Lovely visit while enjoying the sun, sat and ate in the garden overlooking the lake, very busy with kids but beautiful little lunch date with friends! Food was delicious, cheap and cheerful. Staff were friendly as always.

Tonight, I dined at a restaurant and ordered fish and chips, a dish I was quite looking forward to. However, I was dismayed when I noticed my order sitting on the counter for over 15 minutes, untouched. The waitstaff seemed to be waiting for the other dishes for my friends to be prepared, neglecting my meal. This unfortunate delay rendered the fish greasy and far from the crunchy delight I had anticipated. I can't help but question the logic behind such operations: it seems like common sense that the fish should be prioritized and served promptly to maintain its quality! is it necessary to delivery all the dishes at the same time? How ridiculous! Leaving it on the counter for so long truly disappointed me. It felt like a waste of both time and money. Regrettably, I don’t think I’ll be returning. Honestly, I don't believe a restaurant with such standard can be survival!

Food for breakfast was cooked the best we’ve ever known it! Service was first class as always. We al Aus get really looked after and our special dietary requirements are no trouble.

Had a lovely meal with a 40 % discount on mains ,service was quick even though busy and was very tasty ,I had the big stack burger it was really tasty.

Outside seating for a quick drink, but took 20 mins to get served at Bar as place was packed and understaffed as a result

Greeted by young girls who didn't really have a clue. Waited 45 mins for our food which with kids is not good. Dinners come in stages with no cutlery and what the kids had was diabolical. Small bowl of pasta for one with cucumber and raw carrot chips forgotten for the other. Our food was average to say the least. It's a lovely place but the service let's it down and it wasn't even busy don't think they will cope when it is. Alot of staff just wandering about very disappointed. Came here again for dinner on 22nd Feb hoping it had improved. Food was nice but the state of the place no table cleared Food all over the floor it was disgusting. No apology. They clearly don't have the staff but to keep letting ppl in i would have been embarrassed. We stayed because we were hungry and had booked.

Was good they did forget an order and we waited 30 minutes. Once we asked about it they were very quick and apologetic of the error. Nice place, think the tills we're not working as intended at the time so may of caused the issue

Visited today with my 2 grandchildren arrived early seated immediately. All items well stocked and fresh. We all enjoyed everything we choose. Staff were excellent. Another satisfied visit.

Very busy afternoon due to the unexpected good weather so food was unfortunately not the best and times were quite slow due to being short staffed. However, we were served by the only waiter on the day, Josh, who was very helpful and well-mannered. He definitely made it a much better experience and handled any issues and queries we had very fast. 5 stars for Josh.

Popped in for a quick breakfast last week, food was very fast and very filling. Big selection of hot and cold food, would definitely go again

The food is grim, the staff are gormless and haven’t a clue what’s going on. How this place makes any money is beyond me, there’s so many other great places not too far from..sticky tables tells you all you need to know really!!

Went in for breakfast with some friends very busy I’m guessing due to the half term staff were friendly and got us seated quickly buffet style will be back again soon

We popped in with friends for lunch I had my son with me who is a type 1 diabetic This requires planning , we explained to the staff who were fabulous , they kept us informed of when his meal would be ready so it made for a extremely pleasurable experience all round Big thank you xx

Been here twice and closed early both times.

Venue is nice with a good layout. Property kept in good order but as it's very new I would expect it to be. Service was poor. Kept waiting at the entrance for 10 minutes to be seated. We had a reservation. Staff didn't know the food/menu when asked about sizes and quantities and seemed to have a slow work pace. Children's starters came with their mains and one child's main was very slow to come out. Adults carvery dishes were finished and cleaned away before kids food arrived and I'm notoriously slow at eating! Staff/manager seemed to be more interested in chatting with friends/frequent users rather than managing the venue. New diners had to wait for tables to be cleared, cleaned and set, before they could be seated. In summary, decent venue, food was good, poor service and management.

Food quality is pretty good, prices are relatively affordable Only average service

We went in for dessert and they were very nice. We were served by a lovely young lady called Courtney. She served us with a smile and had brilliant customer interaction. She was very friendly and really made our experience a great one.

Great food really well cooked, presented and served absolutely no complaints oh yeah very reasonable priced too, will definitely be back and soon.

I ordered 2 starters calamari and prawn cocktail and a pizza. The starters were amazing, but the pizza was the worst pizza I have ever had in my life. The chicken is over cooked (it was as dry as a desert). The pizza doesn't taste good at all. I would not recommend to order pizza here.

Needed to feed the kids quickly after a walk. It was a mistake to come in here. The place itself is filthy and unloved. The menu, even though limited, is mainly processed and of extremely low quality. There is a list of stuff they don’t have on bits of paper restricting choice even more. Staff were lethargic, largely rude and just didn’t want to be there. The price of food wasn’t ‘cheap’ in fact you could prob eat at far nicer places for not a dissimilar amount… maybe a few pound more. But it’d be worth it. I’ve never left a place feeling like I’ve wasted money (and calories) but this place is a hateful corporate entity.

We have come to this restaurant several times as we stay in the premier inn next door. I found the staff usually extremely unhappy and more than usual they are quite rude and don't seem to have basic hygiene standards. For example the toast was stuck in the conveyor type toasters. I told a member of staff who I noticed cough into his hands prior use the same hand to fish out my toast... Also we asked to sit in the booths and was told due to large group bookings they couldn't give it us. Then within 20 minutes a mother and daughter was seated in the booth... Clearly not a big group as no more people joined them! Food is pretty standard for a brewers fayre. Nothing stands out but edible. They also seem to consistently not have certain food/drinks... This is consistent everytime!

Sunday afternoon attendance. It was a pleasant enough meal. Staff were very good and sorted out a couple of minor issues. We had meals from the Christmas menu which for 2 courses was reasonably priced. The food wasn't too bad (chicken a bit dry) and probably in line for what I paid! Came out promptly despite a group of 9. The Sunday roast did look good and I will try another time. Drink refills are good value! Soft & coffees

First time visiting the Willen Dragon and have to say, what a great place this is. Can't wait to return :)

A visiting family member stayed at the Premier Inn at the weekend and so we met twice for breakfast, and had Sunday evening dinner at the Willen Dragon. While there are notices advising there are issues with the supply of some food items, this is no excuse for the poor hygiene on cleaning tables ( or not !) A lack of staff to welcome you to the restaurant, collect used plates from the breakfast table or serve yoghurt with an expired use by date. The restaurant is in a great location, but really needs to improve standards if they want customers to return.

I came with my wife and kids for dinner and found all staff to be friendly and approachable, the food was good and well priced and they were welcoming to children which was brilliant. Good bit of variety in the menu, I appreciated the vegan options being given too. All in all would recommend, and will come again ourselves, plus being near the lake it's a lovely place for a walk round after!

I love this place, we go all the time and ask for the same staff member (Ciara) because she is so friendly and listens to what we need. My son was being really hyper and upset last week and she was calm and understanding. Food was great too and super quick service. We will be back!

Not geared up for gluten free dietary requirements. I had to scroll through pages of ingredients rather than a menu!!! The staff tried to help but didn't know about dietary info. My food after that was bland and tasteless. Those who could eat without dietary requirements had fish and chips and enjoyed it

It's a real shame this place has gone down rapidly. The interior tables are generally uncleared, the floors are filthy, half of the menu items aren't available and the windows are covered with poorly spelled notices about what isn't available. Staff seem to hide from you, the food is average and overall it looks like it's on its last legs. I hope not as it used to be a friendly, well run reasonably priced pub and restaurant in a great location. Now it's the opposite.

Large contemporary pub popular with families beside willen premier inn with loads of parking which if you register inside you get 3 hours without issues . Not quite like brewers Fayre from past visits finding the menu scaled back, it seemed like 3 staff done everything and just a general lack of coordination. Menu pricing isn’t too bad and the wait between order to table reasonable with the general atmosphere a little noisy at times . Definitely rather “ down earthed “ than expected.

It was a case of what food they had on menu as they had not got a lot . No Atmosphere the table next to us walked out without having anything my sisters burger was burnt i ended up with Jacket pot with chilli but only wanted salad but akas there was none will not be visiting again.

Great for freelancers! Unlimed coffee and hot drinks and spaces to work it. Can get loud at busy periods but in the mornings / midweek is a great option!

Atmospheric, relaxing and chilled, had a little stop whilst I was walking around the lake for the second time 😂 it was relaxing!

As others have said avoid. The staff are lovely but the food... just no.

Food here is just great, amazing Prawn Coctail, absolutely beautiful fresh Fish & Chips ( my favourite ! ) Highly recommend Sunday Carvery, beautiful food, fresh, hot, and very reasonably priced. ALL the staff are friendly and cheery, you will be greeted by the amazing team: Brian the Manager, ....the ladies Chen, Emma, Vicky, Suzanne to name a few, and the boys Lewis and Aiden on floor duties .....always smiling/singing and welcoming ! Music is pleasant and not loud. Highly recommend family restaurant beside a stunning Lake, with 3 hour free parking ! Enjoy....I know you will 😃

Arrived early on a cold autumnal Sunday, with a Dog, only to find its not a dog friendly place unless you sit outside, even though the way its set up it could easily be sectioned off and allow dogs in 1 section. Luckily we found some sheltered seating with a heater in it outside which was nice, but the table itself had old cups and glasses on it, it was as sticky as hell, probs not clean from night before if not longer. Good choice of pub grub and reasonably priced. Good selection of alcoholic beverages, but let down by the selection of hot drinks, no hot chocolate, and they have never done hot chocolate according to the bar staff. This is totally unacceptable especially as it's a machine where you have to make the drink yourself, and the machine has the function for hot chocolate. Good views over the lake. Parking free for 1st 3hrs as long as you register in the bar. Will visit again, but won't rush back.

The atmosphere was nice and the service was quick. All staff member were polite and went out of their way to help and take care of us.

Says closes at 11 and threw us out at 10 because it is usually 'quiet'

My ordered food was very tasty with good portions, the staff were extremely friendly and polite. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, good selection of beers and added bonus of BT Sports. Highly recommended restaurant.

The food was good but the location they sat is in was very poor as there was a group of us once some got seated we couldn't get out to use the toilet unless we disturbed the rest of the table and we wasn't all together very poor seating .

i came with my boyfriend and had a delightful evening i ordered steak which was cooked with to perfection and exactly how i asked for it to be cooked , definitely worth it and will be returning again!!!

1st time visiting this pub as we didn't know it was here. They have a fantastic menu including a lunch value range 2 selected meals for under £12. We went for the sausage and mash l, it was really lively. Perfect size portion. Can't wait to return.

Went over the half term weekend for the carvary, it was pretty busy but getting the carvary was quick and easy. Enjoyed the beer and Gammon and went back up for more potatoes. Nice atmosphere and the family enjoyed it as well. Sure We'll be back soon.

I am leaving 1 star because I parked in the pub car park, entered the pub and put my registration into to tablet provided at the entrance. The first time it said there was an error however, the second time it's stated my input was successful but today I have just received a fine for £100 which is outrageous considering I undertook all the necessary requirements. The problem is that it will take forever to sort this out and the likelihood of getting a refund is extremely slim. So my advice add this cost to your bill or go somewhere else..

Absolutely awful from start to finish! Wait time for food was over 45 mins and it wasn’t even busy, service was poor and food was disgusting. drinks tasted like the machine was filled with dirt dish water, wouldn’t go back! Food was greasy, gravy was so thick and stagnant you could tip the plate sideways and it didn’t move! Gross!

The breakfast was good but no hot chocolate, eggs had run out couldn't wait for the next batch due to time also no mustard. There's tall tables but there's no tall highchairs makes it a bit restricted when have a toddler.

We had a meal here, early afternoon in October. The food arrived piping hot which was a good sign. It was well cooked and tasty. The value was pretty good, under £50 for two meals and two drinks. My only gripe was that they insisted on having a live feed of a radio station throughout the restaurant, why? I don't mind a bit of background music but this was far too loud and intrusive. I don't think they appreciate how annoying this is for someone wearing hearing aids.

Wow I am now a regular here as I'm always satisfied. Always Meeted, greeted and seated very efficiently. The location is pretty and the decor is nice clean and modern. The food was pretty quick during a busy lunch time. This is a bonus so as my daughter wasn't waiting long. Finally found a place that has abit of everything. Doesn't break the bank and has friendly efficient service. There getting to no me now too so theres always a friendly greeting and quick how are you which sometimes makes all the difference.

Had breakfast and evening meal as we were staying in the hotel. Was a bit chaotic and noisy. Bit messy too, tables not cleared very quickly and food on the floor under tables. Not necessarily staff problem as there were not enough of them. Also many families with small children making a mess

Food too awhile and my steak fatty and paid for pepper corn sauce which didn't arrive and when it did I had finished my steak . Really disappointed and didn't have time to complain as we had theatre at 7.00

Third time coming here for breakfast buffet. Food has been consistently good. Service is brilliant and the manager today went above and beyond with my grandkids. This will be our regular place for breakfast visits from now on. Highly recommended, and 2 very happy granddaughters.

We arrived and was given our table straight away. All 4 of us picked our food . Went to the bar to order. Placed order with manager. Mine my son and daughters food came . My husband ordered the mixed grill with the upgraded steak . When his food came after waiting 5 mins ofter our food came . Steak wasn't upgraded he called the waitress back and she ignored him so I took it to the manager for him to state this was not his order . Took the plate I assumed he was going to sort it . My husband sat waiting while me and out 2 children ate . I got up to take my daughter to the toilet and the waitress was actually eating the plate of food that was given to my husband. And he was still waiting for his food so went back to the manager. Manager said haven't u received ur food yet in this time we had finished our food and my husbands hadn't even been bought out . This is not what u call customer service. Will not be going back here . Also says roast was on till 7 we got here just after 5 and there was no roast on . Which is what we actually went for .

Had a katsu curry with white rice and a slimline lemonade - fairly quiet for a rainy Wednesday lunchtime

Just avoid it... Eat beforehand... My burger + platter dish took one hour... And it was rancid way overdone. The calamari were too greasy to eat and the fries had a weird taste. ---- Finishing touch: google remembered me about this... we had a nightmarish week following our visit to this place, we got food poisoning....

Good food at the right price, pub food.

First time visiting, food was ok, service was very good though, found us a table relatively quick through a busy period, Was helped by Emma, nothing was to much, service with a smile and helped me with anything I needed, overall good experience.

Your usual pub food, so nothing special but also nothing wrong with that either as long as it is executed well and Dragon Brewers Fayre does so, with well cooked food and decent portions. The inside is nice as well, and outside seating is great on a sunny day.

Went in for breakfast on sunday with the kids, was greeted by the manager with a very warm welcome. Kids loved the pancakes and pastries, would definitely go again

Does what it says on the tin, carvery was very good

If I could give no stars I would. We got the Sunday carvery and to sum up the experience; the carver cut the meat like it was coming out of his own wages. The beef looked lovely but the carver flipped it over & gave us the shoe sole side of joint. The roast did not come with a pig in blanket. The “roast” potatoes were like they’d been cooked on a radiator, they were not crunchy; basically spoonfuls of mash that had been put in the oven for a couple minutes. The carrots came with a lovely spoonful of boiled water. The cauliflower cheese looked like soggy scrambled egg & to top it all off if we wanted to go back for the “unlimited” sides we couldn’t as the carvery had closed an hour and a half earlier than advertised while we were still eating. Got a free dessert for compensation which was decent but left with an aching jaw from all the chewing.

We had breakfast there today. It was absolutely packed but the service was good. The staff worked so hard.Excellent breakfast.

It took 1.5hrs to get two kids meals and I had to go in multiple times (we waited 45min the first time) I to ask for the food as they seem to forget they are supposed to serve their customers. Had been asked if we wanted it all at once and said yes but that didn’t happen. Thought this place would be better, but there are plenty of other places capable of actually serving the food the customer orders and pays for. I actually complained for once and all they said was sorry. Me too.

Very busy on the Sunday we went, so service was slow, but not terribly so - staff did great! Food good. Car Park for 3 hours - but - remember to follow the QR Code inside the doorway to register for parking or expect a £100 fine!!

We have been regular visitors to the Willen Dragon since it opened its doors, we just love the Fish & chips, always a huge portion of the most beautiful Fish, it never fails, with Tarter sauce, Fries and your choice of peas. Better than any Fish & chip shop we have been to, service is fast, staff are hard working and friendly, so a 10 out of 10.

Stayed tall the adjacent premier inn with my family to visit nearby attractions. For convenience I pre booked the breakfast and dinner meal deals. Outside needed at good sweep but inside was clean enough (aside from sticky tables which seems to be common place at any place with wooden tables!). They were either understaffed or bad at service or both. Food was very average and took forever to come. You had to order at bar which would be fine except there were only 2 staff serving both drinks and food orders and the place was packed. There was a queue forming in single file well out of the door. My kids wanted their pudding which was part of the kids deal and it took me 20 mins in queue to order some ice cream which took another 30 minutes to arrive (in spite of asking where it was 1-2 times). I complained to the premier inn staff and requested a refund, fair play to them they were apologetic and refunded dinners for the 2 nights I’d paid for. Likely not the staffs fault, they need a better system and more staff at the bar. Possibly why they weren’t overly friendly!

Great place to eat! Fantastic food even if it is a little bit inconsistent but well worth the money. I had a mixed grill and it was amazing.

Spot on deals and refill drinks been a great visit we have been a few times and will be back the huts are were we like to sit private and comfy.

From the perspective of it being what it is, this is an excellent choice if you're hungry and have children. There is an outdoor play area, the menu is cheap and tasty. It isn't fancy, but it isn't pretending to be and they can deal with a lot of clients over a short period of time due to their business model. Good, fast service with a smile. Great value, good service, everyone happy, that's a 5 star for us.

Nice place went there on 23thAug 2024 didn't no it was there. had a walk from Milton Keynes bus station to the willen lakes it was nice passed brewers fayer on way. so we had lunch very nice place. staff friendly and helpful definitely going back. this weekend.

Extremely busy virtually no service very large ques to order food and drink run out of two drinks ordered waited 30 mins for food then delivered wrong meal then waited again in very large que to order desert and that took 28 mins to arrive and it was cold will not be going to eat there again

Not bad, food came out wrong, but after speaking to the waitress, she was nice and fixed it. Menu seems to have been skimmed down on options, but ironically larger in size.

All staff amazing and food was fresh and amazing quality

Absolutely shocking service. Was supposed to get a discount with our hotel stay, when we arrived at this restaurant there was no mention of the discount and we were made to pay full price and when discussed with a member of staff, were told they do not give refunds of any kind. Just to be told by hotel staff we shouldn't have been asked.to pay at all. We wait over an HOUR for our food despite asking multiple times for updates and when it arrived it was less than hoped for. The food was hard and rubbery and some bits were overcooked. When wanting to speak to a manager we were told there wasn't one in. Very disappointed and an autistic child left very unhappy. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. Luckily the hotel staff were fantastic and refunded us for the night.
