Vinimos aquí porque habíamos escuchado que el chef que hacía grandes asados se había mudado de otro pub. No decepcionó! Excelentes porciones, asados exclusivos y buenos yorkshires. El personal también fue agradable. Lo único que me desanima es el ruido. No soy un fanático de los bares deportivos, y no hay ningún lugar más tranquilo y acogedor para escondernos para una buena comida, o para poder oírnos hablar: ( Sin embargo, vale la pena para los asados: P

He estado aquí un par de veces con amigos para un asado. Estaba muy feliz la primera vez, pero ayer unos 30 de nosotros fuimos por el cumpleaños de un amigo. ¡El asado fue nuevamente muy sabroso y salió caliente! Creo que tiene una buena relación calidad-precio y para los grandes consumidores puede pedir asados adicionales, pudines de Yorkshire, cerdos en mantas, relleno. . . ¡Probablemente ya he tenido suficiente! El servicio también es muy amable. Definitivamente lo recomendaría.

Came here with my mum for a roast on a Sunday as a change from a Toby Carvery. The Beef roast felt significantly more homemade compared to something out of a chain where the ingredients tasted like they were made in bulk. THE ROASTIES WERE TO DIE FOR! very well priced as it was about £20 for the pair of us with a drink each. The comparable order from a toby carvery was over £30 only a week earlier. Staff were very helpful

En primer lugar, dos personas pidieron burritos que, francamente, apenas podían describirse como un pollo frío y un trozo de lechuga en una envoltura. Visitamos en grupo para un viernes por la noche de comida. Pedimos una variedad de alimentos, incluidos burritos, hamburguesas, nachos y pasteles de pescado. We decided to get some dinner after watching the Manchester Derby and my partner said let's go and get something to eat at one of the local places Wild Lime, I must first say I was apprehensive at first as on previous visits we were told the kitchen was closed as the chef had gone home but we thought it must be open to serve food now, we entered and decided on cocktail 241 and a pint we then saw the menu on our table and it was stating that roasts were being served, we quickly decided that we would order those so I went to the bar and asked for the meals only to be told that the kitchen had closed, I must state that there were several people eating around the time we entered, I questioned this with the bar tender (shane) and he said that he had ordered the food beforehand even showing me the till screen at what time the food was ordered 6:26 pm however he was eating with friends he said and the time we entered was just before 7pm apparently the time they stop serving although there were people eating so obviously given special treatment, also menus were on the tables indicating that food was being served and no times stated either however poster on wall did but how was we to know that considering we didn't think kitchen would be open, complained to bar tender (shane) and still could not get served even asking the chef if kitchen was closed completely in which the answer was yes so despite everything I asked for refund on drinks as very annoyed and lost interest and then left the premises. awful service as some people being concentrated on over others (students) and staff just standing around at end of bar talking, will never go here again and will tell friends and family to stay away..awful experience

Best pub to watch the football in. A lot of space so you can really spreadddd around! Large choice of alcohol.

Ordered a cocktail and pint with 2 shots, patron shots watered down at least by half. Went I visit the ladies toilets to be met by seats missing and over flowing sanitary bins in every cubicle, with one bin missing a lid! Advised the bar staff only to be told they are waiting for it to be collected and what do I want them do as they cannot touch it. I just advised them in case they where not aware. Disgusting, imagine what the kitchen is like!

I had a wonderful first time experience in the wild lime! In particular the bar staff Katie was very welcoming and hard working toward giving us the best service! I also had the most delicious food delivered by a handsome chef and cheeky smile! I highly recommend the wild lime they are very hard working and very kind towards every customer ! I cannot wait for my next experience here

Came here with some friends for a casual drink. My friends had the pornstar martinis and I had the pina colada which was made by the lovely bar tender (Connor). Brilliant cocktail menu at a reasonable price. Will be returning soon !

We were going to go to the dolphin but it was a little too lively for my friends and me, so we headed to the Wild Lime in anticipation for a chilled evening. Connor the bartender was great both before and after the incident. Thanks so much Connor for making our evening even more memorable!

Went here with friends from work last week, the new manager has not been there long but already making a difference. The quality of food and service are very much improved. Bar staff and chef were all very helpful and gave great service. Will definitely visit more often

After having a couple of drinks on a sunny afternoon my partner and I decided to order some food. My partner ordered two drinks and then went to order food but was RUDELY turned down because there was a wait on food yet the kitchen didn’t close for 45 minutes. No apology, rudely spoken to and the inside of the place could do with a decent clean as well. This is the second time this has occurred, the first time was because they had a table of 15 in.. who were the only other people in the place on a quiet Sunday lunchtime, thought it was a one off but apparently not. Don’t bother with this place

Went in on a Saturday lunchtime, the place was very quiet other than 10-12 people watching the live football. Ordered our food, 40 mins go by and no sign of any food (a burger and chicken wrap)! Barman told us that they had been busy as they had a table of 15, given they had left before we had even arrived not sure that was a good enough excuse. Had to leave without ever seeing the food, not even offered a refund! Highly recommend that you avoid

Bit more of a 'pub' than a restaurant but decent enough food Could maybe do with a bit of a clean inside though!

Went for lunch with my partner. We waited 30 minutes to be served for drinks and had to wait and additional 50 minutes to receive starters. It was bad quality ingredients and burnt and was mounted high on the plate. After another hours wait again the same problem occurred. not good quality, too much food and burnt. Bad Service from a very young team behind the bar, who only wanted to talk amongst themselves and weren't bothered about serving customers. One good thing about this horrid place is that the one set of drink we got was at a reasonable price. If you go there only order the starters as they are enough to keep you full for the week!

Very long wait for food whilst the place was not very busy. Very unsatisfactory for the sort of food we ordered.

Went here after work as we have before had a few drinks and were about to order food when a member of staff came over and put a reserved note on the table saying it was reserved from 7-30. As we had not ordered our food we left without eating or ordering more drinks. The member of staff did not speak to us when putting the

Popped in for breakfast and soft drinks. Not the best breakfast we have ever had but it was cheap, hot and tasty so not at all bad for the money.

I only went in there for a Virgin Mary, the usual double tomato juice, Worcester sauce and lemon. The place looked empty, the few staff looked dull eyed and for some reason, the usual commonplace ingredients for a basic drink such as this, were missing. They had the glass. Perhaps there was tomato juice on the back. Off sauntered one bored staffer. After loitering by the bar for a few minutes, I then saw him stroll past me with another staffer into the toilets. No eye contact. Either goldfish memory or completely disinterested in his job. After a few more minutes, I figured it was faster to walk to the local shop and buy the ingredients. The general air in the place, which needed a face-lift and intensive staff training was boredom. Where's the inspirational manager/owner when you need one? If you need a drink, walk to the other end of the street. You'll get served at The Mitre, even if some of the staffers need manners...

Reasonable priced drinks, pretty good selection (what you'd expect) and as long as you don't expect any extraordinary, and have good company, you'll have a good night!!!

On Wednesdays they seem to have cheap drink deals, such as £1.50 pints all night (rarely found in Southampton I feel). They have around 4 screens, which were showing 2-3 football games that night. They provided a beer pong table which made for a very fun night.

We went in for a meal for 4 at quiet times we waited an hour for our meals which were not worth the wait. The football was on but was so loud the vibration on it made it very unclear. People were complain8ng but the volume was not turned down at all. After 40 minutes of waiting and other people who came in after us had received their food we asked at the bar how long ours would be . Apparently it was in the hatch. Another 15 minutes later we asked again only to be told it was on its way. After 1 hour our friends received their sharing platter but ours stil hadn't turned 10 minutes later so we asked to see the manager. The young lady was not the manager but someone who only been there a month. We asked where our food and so did another person who had been waiting an hour. She was not authorised to give us any refund but a free drink. Our food turned up but the sausages were only cheap ones with no taste at all ,they had no bubble and squeak. My partners peas were so hard he couldn't eat them. Would never go back again and have emailed them to complain watch this space. Wild lime you ruined our night out and think you need to train up your staff better

Used to be one of my favourite places in Southampton, good sports bar then music venue. Been declining for a while but the last visit was shocking - couldnt serve any draught beer cold (broken), couldnt split the screens to show more than one event (broken), food taking 30 mins+ for simple stuff when not busy, no sign of management, hardly any bar staff so taking 10-15 mins to get a beer, not busy. staff as annoyed at the place as we were. Result - group of 8 leaving when planning on staying all day, their loss!

Great prices, quick service, many TV screens and a big wall. Good on street parking nearby. Would recommend.

Come here every now and then for a few drinks with friends. It's an okay place, however we only choose to go here when we're feeling too lazy to walk anywhere further away! This place could be great, the interior is really nice. However service is very slow at the bar (be wary of going in at busy times) Also the music is always turned up way too loudly so that you can't even hear the people next to you. Plus I think it's just a play list on repeat as it's always the same pop songs which they play.. However for cheap drinks on a Thursday then you can't really complain too much!

Today I visited to have lunch i had Mac & cheese with sweet Potato fries ..well the Mac& cheese wasn't Mac&cheese it was Penne pasta with a packet cheese sauce over it .plus it came out luke warm NOT HOT as it should be..maybe you haven't got Probes in the kitchen. And the sweet Potato fries weren't crispy they where Soggy..and the Presentation was terrible to ...My other half had Fish and chips he said it was ok ...Need to Hire people who can COOK

My husband and I live in Highfield and so this is very local to us. We met friends here for a meal and to watch Saints v Milan match. We were slightly worried about the Wild Lime after having seen some of the reviews. But our concerns were soon allayed by the very helpful and attentive staff. The food we ordered was fresh, hot and of a very good standard. We had a great evening and would certainly return.

Have visited the Wild Lime on many occasions, and every time I had have a pleasant experience. The food is great, good quality and value for money; the staff are very friendly and helpful; and they have good offers on drinks! There's something going on most nights in there, and they show popular sports games but will also put on the less popular ones on the TV for you if you ask the staff. Definitely recommend will continue visiting !!!

Ordered a chicken burger smothered in BBQ sauce. Order took nearly half an hour and I could not even cut through the chicken it was so over cooked. It was also lukewarm and as we were leaving the staff member asked if everything was ok I showed him the uneaten chicken burger. Let's just say, the level of customer service matches the actual quality of the food. Was I surprised when I checked trip advisor and read the awful reviews. NO I was not. On the plus side, there is a Waitrose 2 mins u the street, sandwhich was delicious.

The food in the empty pub took 45 mins for two pizzas. My pizza was terrible. It arrived with a large corner cut off. Ive never seen that before but the cook had obviously burnt it and cut off the charred part. The rest? Amazing it was both burnt to a crisp yet cold. I would have sent it back but the cook obviously hates cooking and i didnt have time to wait. In most countries a waitress wouldnt bring food over that bad and if im honest im annoyed with her too. Terrible terrible food and ive been telling everyone this afternoon since and heard similar stories especially about delays. Poor and insultingly bad.

Great menu, great atmosphere, great price. Such a nice place to go and relax for a nice meal out with either friends or family.Menu is very good for this type or place and very reasonably priced. You also get 20% off if you are a student so its a winner!!I had a massive burger which was amazing and my friend had steak which was cooked well.

Had my final ever visit to Wild Lime last week, every time I have been there, there is always a reason why the food will be late, or the drinks cannot be ordered. We were told food would take half an hour which was a bit of an ask anyway, which turned out to be an hour. One of the meals was taken to another table, meaning an even longer wait for one of us. The food is ridiculously minimal, I ordered a halloumi burger and got about one slice in a huge bread bun. Garlic bread tasted like cardboard. They don't seem to have an email, so when I complained to them on Facebook, all they said was 'Thank you for your feedback'. They don't seem to care one bit about the bad reputation they have got themselves, I will be surprised if they manage to stay open for much longer as everyone always seems to have the same bad experience.

Visited on a very quiet Monday lunchtime, there were no more than 15 people in the whole place, yet we still had an hour wait for food? Come on I could of walked to Sainsbury's brought a burger cooked and eaten it in quicker time! Management really need to pull there finger out and sort out the service!

Always a wait to get served ,never have enough glasses even when pub near empty. and tv on much too loud at weekends. Toilets often out of order.Manager only talks to his chosen few and always sat down doing nothing.Bar staff constantly changing ,probably because of managers attitude.

Went there for a colleague leaving do, have some drinks and chat. unfortunately my selected beer was not available, witnessed no attention to our table with spillage of any drink left there until we could not even lay our arms on. Big place with plenty of room but music too loud to enjoy drinks and company...not suggested for a relaxing night out with high risk to loose your voice in the attempt to communicate.

Looking for somewhere open before midday and this was one of the few. Both had scampi and chips. Very good, the scampi was cooked to perfection, nice peas and reasonable chips. Good value and well cooked. There were only a few people here, quite a few 'eccentrics' among them and wouldn't want to spend too much time here, but staff were helpful and food well cooked.

Popped in for a quick sandwich on a Monday afternoon around 1pm and the place wasn't that busy. Went to order food to be told they didn't have any wraps OR sweet chilli chicken OR sweet potato fries so had to rethink. Decided next on a tuna baguette, which took around 45 minutes to be delivered to the table. Only appeared to be one waitress and I'm guessing one cook working which really isn't enough for a lunchtime service of a place that big. When food arrived it was ok, nothing special but tasted fine however this didn't really make up for the fact it had taken so long to be made. Would not recommend to anyone who hasn't got much time on their hands.

Music is so loud. People playing beer pong so loudly next to us. They're very drunk. Not nice. Staff were pretty nice. It's a shame because where this place opened it had potential but it's turned into a terrible sports bar again.

Stopped here for lunch on a spur of the moment thing. Very friendly staff, excellent quality ingredients used for the meals, the steak & ale pie was superb and my wife enjoyed the sausages very much (not cheap tasteless ones). Value for money (2 meals for £10). great atmosphere inside, well worth a visit if you are in Portswood. We will deffinately return!

Two of us visited wild lime yesterday to try the new menu on launch day... Sadly we were very disappointed. The hippy pizza was burnt around the edges but the rest was really undercooked.. The vegetables were basically raw and the pizza fell apart. The nachos were okay but very basic nothing special. It's a shame because we were out celebrating and thought the food would be excellent considering it was launch day.£10 prosecco was good as always however.

I ordered the wild lime platter, It didn't have any chicken wings or sweet potato fries and the normal fries they were replaced with were overcooked and tasteless along with the rest of the meal! The other three people who ordered the same had exactly the same experience.

First visit on the off chance, lush burger (very close to 7Bone Standard) & the Pulled Pork Pizza was Really tasty... Good portion size for the money. Really happy with experience

Turned up to an almost empty restaurant just after 1pm during the week, so expected quick and good service- we were sadly wrong. Ordered food at 1.15, only to be told that it will be a wait and the chef hasn't turned up yet. We then waited a further 10 minutes for our drinks to be brought over, despite it being an empty restaurant. My friend ordered a tea, and had to go back to the bar to ask for some milk (with more waiting...)The food arrived at 2pm, and my meal of the vegetarian burger and chips was stone cold- to both touch and taste. No way could anyone have eaten it! I told the girl at the bar, who took it away to replace. It was brought back to me 15 minutes later, after obviously being microwaved. No one enjoys microwaved chips! The girl at the bar was incredibly slow, which would be understandable if it was busy- but it was very quiet (as someone who works in food service, I know what busy is!) She had no obvious customer service skills, and didn't smile once and walked around just looking unprofessional and unhappy. All in all, we were just so unsatisfied and will not be returning- for somewhere that looks so nice it is a shame that the whole experience was just dreadful.

Awful customer service, miserable waitress. Awful food, it was cold and was reheated in the microwave. Now I know why it was virtually empty. Avoid. And I never give bad reviews on here!

Visit here regally to watch the football. First time and the last I will eat here.Service painfully slow. No extra staff on despite being busy with the football. Bar staff having to leave the bar to serve food. Dirty plate and glasses all over the tables as they don't have time to clean them up. Food dried up and unappealing.Badly run which is a shame as it is a nice place.

Wild Lime.....Well this was essentially a decent student bar (Varsity) with TV's and cheap beer that tried to go up market. So they closed and reopened as Wild Lime (wannabe gastropub). Varsity minus the TV's, atmosphere and students. Taking dropped, so they added TV's. Random.Today Wild Lime is a strange mix of students and old drinkers looking for a cheap pint. The TV's blare, you'll wait at least 15 minutes at the bar for a drink (owing to the students ordering individual drinks and paying by card for a £1.20 half pint). Awful - avoid it...!!!

Food was mediocre at best. Music started at eight, unreasonably loud even though no one was dancing, staff were rude and slow, drinks "deals" were a rip off and involved ridiculous terms and conditions that rendered them virtually useless. Better off in a club or a pub.

Wild lime has lots of things going for it, but fails to do the basics well. It's in a good location, looks nice, and is one of, if not the only place to watch football in portswood. In fact that's the only reason it kept our business for so long. However after many disappointing visits we came to the conclusion that we just couldn't keep giving somewhere so poor our business. Unfortunately for us this means we now have nowhere to watch the premiership matches before heading to St Mary's. It used to be run quite well, the manager ran the show very well. However, since he left it has gone to pot. On occasions we have been there when it is dead, yet still had to wait ages to be served. Food is pretty poor (I'd go for the pizza as the safest bet).On a plus note most of the staff have been pretty friendly and doing their best despite the lack of direction.

With a table booked a few doors away we called in en-route for a couple of drinks. Large bar area with a choice of seating arrangements and number of tv screens showing different sports. Didn't eat here so can't judge food. As primarily an ale drinker not much choice on this front but plenty of other drinks to choose from. Ideal to call in for drink as on Main Street.

On the very rare occasions I've had a 'dodgy beer', I've always had another one poured to replace it, and a 'sorry about that' as a usual reply. After having a few mouthfuls of beer, I took it back to complain because it tasted disgusting. I thought it'd be replaced and that'd be that. Not here. I was looked at as if I was trying it on (not sure why anyone would want a beer replaced after a few sips if it wasn't a genuine complaint). A straw was dipped into the beer and I was told 'it's beer'. A quite bizarre response. Considering it wasn't a cheap round I thought it would've been replaced. I won't be returning. There are far better pubs in portswood.

Visited on s Saturday night. The menu makes a big point of highlighting the pizzas but they'd run out. So ordered the sharing board which took 40 minutes to come and then they couldn't find any bread to accompany the dips - it comes from the same place as the pizza apparently. The staff are like a flock of sheep missing a boarder collie. Then the sound. There are no soft furnishings so the defeaningly loud sound bounces and echoes, meaning you can't hear the TV, or anything else, which isn't great for a sports bar.

Convenient location next to Subway and a pizza takeaway. However, we were looking for a sit down, eat and drink venue before heading to The Brook for their live music night.Menu was limited for a healthy eating Sunday evening snack (no surprise there)! We both chose the halloumi cheese and grilled vegetables wrap and a soft drink each. Total cost was £20Long wait for the food, but it was nicely presented and extremely tasty. One was served with sweet potato chips and the other with a fresh side salad.We couldn't fault the food but found the ambiance of the place lacking and the numerous screens showing an England rugby game to a handful of supporters was unbelievable loud, making it impossible to hear even the staff.I would suggest the management try being a customer in future, it's a worthwhile exercise.

It took us 20 minutes to be served at the bar to order food. We then waited for 35 minutes for one of our meals to be served, the waitress then assured us that our other dish was ready and she would bring it out right away. After a further 15 minutes we complained and was again assured that the food was ready and would be with us immediately. We then waited another 10 minutes before demanding a refund as the first dish had gone cold. Throughout this time the staff were rude and showed no understanding. The group sat on the table next to us had exactly the same issue and mentioned that they were back using a voucher that the restaurant had given them to compensate for late food during their last visit. Overall an unpleasant experienceI would never return to this restaurant again.

The cocktails were delicious and i would go back if that was all i am wanting and the atmosphere was good as they were playing music instead of sports but there were several issues with the food: -it took an hour to arrive-each of my friends dishes arrived separately one friend had finished before another had even got her food-one dish arrived cold -my dish had far to much sauce dolloped on top which made it sickly and i could only eat halfAfter going up and asking to speak to the manager we got 25% of our food which was at least something but we all went away with a couple of pounds and feeling hungry.The bathrooms were also bad all the toilet roll holders were broken, the toilet seat were all either loose or completely unattached and the soap was either really poor quality or massively watered down.

I think that my experience here was one that everyone should enjoy. When going to the bar, the bar tenders were helpful on what drink to have and they were very quick and efficient to serve it. i then decided to stay and order some food. I had the burger and my girlfriend had the salad. It came down very quickly and it was very well presented. Will defiantly be going back and would strongly advise to anyone who is looking for a fun and amazing evening

What a lovely place to come to food was great beer great and fantastic prices, staff lovely and polite and was a nice atmosphere. Came in with a couple of friends for a bite to eat and a couple of beers, didn't have to wait long for food and when it come it was fresh and hot!! Definitely will be coming here again. I recommend people to try this place!! Keep up the good work staff and management. X

Went here to have a nice sirloin steak it was on time and cooked to perfection by the chef kirsty Scott who I thanked for after. The waitress who served me was lovely lady named Ellie and the atmosphere in the pub was good would recommend to friends and family to visit this place.

Went to Wild Lime at the weekend when Eva was working, great fast and quick service in terms of both food and drinks. Would definitely recommend coming here for a cocktail and some food!!!

I visited the wild lime with a friend to catch up.. The lady called ellie was very helpful, n friendly. When we approched the bar to order our drinks she was really helpful because we didnt know what cocktails to have so we had the cocktails she recomended and they was good. We also ordered food, we didnt have to wait long at all for it to come out... My friend had a pizza and I had a burger, it was a good size meal and both meals were beautifuly presented. To my surprise when i had got my burger the cheif had put enjoy written in sauce. It made me smile because it ment that the cheif had taken time, care and put a personal touch on our meal. When we had finnished and was ready to go i had to ask the name of the cheif that had made our food. Ellie kindly told us it was kirsty so we asked ellie to send our compliments to her. Defo will be coming back soon.

I went in to watch the rugby with friends and the sound and picture on the television screens were out of sync. When we ordered food it took the staff an hour to tell us there was a problem with the order, and another half an hour to bring out our lukewarm meals. The staff could not find our table as there was no way of identifying who had ordered what, and when our food was brought out I saw the wait-staff visit several tables before they got to ours.All in all, I won't be going back.

Popped in recently on a Saturday late afternoon, it was busy, rugby was on TV yet there was just 1 person serving behind the bar. We waited a bit to get served but left as there was no hope of getting served and we won't be back again.It's a pity as this was a well run venue for drinks and food but its gone downhill over the past year. If you serve food and cocktails and show sports on TV, you need to make sure you have sufficient staff. It's not acceptable to wait ages at the bar even when it's quiet. Oh and please sort the gents toilet!

I met a friend for a quick lunch, we decided to go to the Wild Lime as we had been there a couple of years ago and were relatively pleased with the food and service. We both ordered a pizza and a drink. We chatted away then after 40 minutes my friend enquired about our food, as the place was virtually empty we couldn't understand what was taking so long. She was told it would be another ten minutes as they had to pop out to the shops for ingredients! Whaaat? Couldn't believe what we were hearing. My friend now only had 20 minutes of her lunch break left so we decided to ask for our money back as we didn't have time to wait longer without the time it would take to eat it. We didn't get an apology and only the food was refunded even though we had to leave our drinks if we were to eat at all. We went to subway and received very good, quick service. Would never bother with Wild Lime again!

Whilst taking a meeting with a colleague we arranged to meet in this bar/restaurant called Wild Lime, I had not ventured into the premises before but was extremely impressed on what was awaiting for me...... A bright, clean, and extremely team of helpful staff on duty ready for my every request. Firstly as I entered the bar I thought it was a very well maintained and looked after premises, due to the cleanliness of the floor and furniture, and how well presented the staff were in uniform. As soon as I approached the bar a member of the team was heading to attend to me immediately. I ordered a Guinness which was to a superb standard, chilled, served in a Guinness glass which I thought was a nice touch. On receiving my pint I was then explained everything that was available, ie food, offers, also a range of weekly entertainment provided by the bar..... I explained I was awaiting a colleague for lunch and asked for two menus, the member of staff took me to the eating area and asked which table I would find appropriate, I chose a table, and awaited my guest. Once my guest arrived we ordered a meal, and a bottle of wine, and began our meeting. The food arrived and was brought over by another member of staff, who attended to us and was extremely polite also, this attention to detail only made my meeting flow perfectly and the ambience was excellent. The meal was delicious, well presented and hot too. After our meal we had coffee which was brought over by the staff member and to which I gave my greatest thanks to for a wonderful lunch. As my colleague and I was making our way to leave, I decided that I wanted to ensure my enjoyment was delivered correctly so I asked if there was a manager available. I was greeted by a charming lady, very professionally turned out, and took on board my every word on the feedback. I also asked for the name of the team member and herself as I wanted to mention them in my review. The member of staff was called Ellie and the manager was Francesca...... I am not one to give praise easily, as I have high standards, but I must say that I owe Francesca and team a huge thankyou for a wonderful experience and making my afternoon a pleasure. Keep up the great work guys, many regards and best wishes.

Nice cheapo two for one cocktails. Can get very crowded in term time. Had the ribs special. It was ok but only just warm when we got it which spoilt it a bit. Staff were friendly and helpful but the food should be better than it is. I would not go out to eat here but it is ok for a few drinks.

I visited the Wild Lime with a friend and we got a drink then ordered food. 6 o'clock on a week day with very few people inside and it still took nearly an hour for a burger and macaroni cheese to turn up. When the food turned up the Mac didn't have bacon (which it was meant to) and I'd upgraded the wedges to to get Parmesan wedges but only standard ones turned up. We spoke to a polite waitress and she said she would speak to the manager and after 20 minutes know body came back! Disappointing really, food was good apart from the missing bits and slow pace

used to be such a good place to go & have a drink & bite to eat. But under the new manager seems to being going downhill. Service at the bar is so slow not enough staff to deal with serving cocktails, perhaps if the manager actually did some work it would help. Our meal had to be sent back as it had sat on the pass for so long it was cold, again not enough staff. We were regular visitors now we go very rarely

Came here with a group of friends for dinner one evening and the service was terrible, we waited over an hour for food and when it came out it all came out at different times and some foods were missing items (cheese and bacon burger had no cheese etc.) The staff made us feel uncomfortable and we couldn't wait to leave! Won't be returning for food here! The only good thing about it here is I have been here on other occasions for cocktails, which are nice and reasonably priced - would return for drinks but NOT for food!

Came out for drinks. Lovely service with info about different beers and cocktails. Perfectly pleasant and quick ice cream sundae .Came during summer holidays so less crowded than usual. Have tried to come before in term time and packed out! Did not eat main course on this occasion but menu focuses on pizza and burgers.

The menu that was so nice few months ago, is now rubbish, the service is ghostly, what was a nice place to have lunch in Portswood is no more, if you treat your customers with poor food and bad service, they will not come back and guess what we Are gone for good.

I was a frequent visitor of this place but have not been for a couple of months always good service friendly staff not sure what has happend lately though. there is a new manager in place who is more interested in strutting around the place with her ample chest on display and ordering the staff around all of which do not have a clue. after waiting to be served for twently minutes (all this time the manager was walking up and down barking instructions to staff and not actually doing anything herself) when I eventually got served they didnt have the ingredients for the drinks we required the bar was dirty and the tables were unclean time to find another bar to frequent I think

When this place opened in Portswood it was great to see a fresh breath of drinking away from the samey pubs along the high street but so quickly it's gone down the pan. Such a shame that the only alternative to providing modern, pleasant and (very slightly) higher end food and drink in Portswood is marred by quite terrible management, nowhere near enough staff and inspiration from a failing Spoons establishment.Visiting here several times a year since it's opened, hoping it would improve ever so slightly on the next visit, I'm always disappointed how downhill it goes with every new visit. The first cocktail menu was great with a good mix of classic cocktails, twists on the classics and new creations. Now the cocktail menu resembles that of something I'd find in a Spoons pub (Woo Woo... really?) and after waiting far longer than is acceptable to be served and then even longer for cocktails, we've sobered up. The quality of the cocktails started off actually really high, now the product has minimal effort and nowhere near the price. I get the impression staff don't really know what they're doing properly.Can't really say much for food - other than getting it once and waiting over an hour for it to be delivered to the wrong table, then being told the kitchen had closed so they couldn't make any more food. Fair play to staff for being polite about it, but whilst doing a million other things at once.The selection of ales is, quite frankly, appalling. Three pumps available and only 1 ever in use. The beer was not conditioned at all. Avoid.The place has so much potential to offer some good quality beers and new products, especially down the craft beer/lager route - something which Portswood is massively missing out on and a place like Wild Lime (well, what it started off to be) should be fully embracing new markets for young adults and the modern drinker. Pleased to see Blue Moon on tap, great move, a shame it's never actually stocked or working when I've been in. Sigh.After receiving a lager served in a different branded glass with about 2 inches of head, I opted to play it safe and get a bottled cider. This was served with a glass so dirty that I couldn't actually see through it. The following cider, and the third, and the fourth were all served in dirty glasses. Very disappointing and disgusting.As for the decor, the place started off great. No TVs meant a really friendly vibe and a place friends could meet together and actually socialise. As soon as huge flat screens were chucked in every inch of available wall space, the place has become a hole and completely lost its modern drinking vibe and friendly atmosphere - something Portswood seriously lacks.There seems to be tacky POS and promo EVERYWHERE. Bombardier bunting hanging off the light shades and walls adds the perfect crap-pub look, not mention promo stuff advertising products that aren't even stocked or sold.Overall, really really really disappointing. It started off so well and is falling faster than a lead balloon. Bar staff are polite and clearly try their hardest but appear to be let down by a lack of (or, if any) training and there really aren't enough of them. I really hope they sort this place out because it could be the nice-end bar that Portswood really needs.

We attempted to try this place for the second time, should have realised some things don't change. Our first experience was very delayed! Over 45 minutes wait for food that was very easy to cook! Second time was even worse! Again over 46 minutes wait for starters! Very greasy! Then mains were just as bad! The chips that accompanied the mains were the greasiest chips I have ever come across! Steak was cooked wrong! One of us has a moroccan chicken wrap of which there was was morning Moroccan about it! It was just dry chicken in a very dry crusty wrap! We did complain to be told "the chef is new and he has been getting this a lot" Urm hello.... Isn't that a sign! Such a shame as this could be a little gem! We won't be attending again!

New manager apologised for delayed service..got free shots and meal refunded at first was dissatisfied but all was amended would recommend coming here again

Had a great time was my birthday enjoyed our food I recommend the. Wild lime pizza Friends had burgers and said they were good We got a surprise birthday cake and staff and manager sang happy birthday to us We loved it Stayed all night

Ordered a halloumi and vegetable wrap which, when it finally arrived forty minutes after ordering, was not only cold but also didn't have any halloumi in. When I told the waitress I was told there was nothing she could do except tell the kitchen staff. So I'd paid around £7 for a bit of soggy bread with vegetables. To top it off the toilets are awful and it takes forever to someone to serve you at the bar.

Kitchien staff are great, bar staff are slow and often rude ,toilets are always disgusting and the manager Francesca is insanely rude and unorganised I couldn't believe how she spoke to me and her employees in front of me.if I owed the place I would have fired her on the spot it was disgraceful!

This pub has the volume so high when rugby is on that you cannot hold a conversation ,even with the staff. The prices at the bar vary according to who is serving you .Only good thing is they do have sky and bt sports

I haven't been here for a long time but recently ventured back with some friends.... Was charmed by the staff & Managers customer service when I asked for some advise on wines and food choices....Was a warm and friendly and we all enjoyed the food.Will certainly be back. Atmosphere is good and the place is spacey but football was SO loud and waited 40 minutes for chips that turned up cold!!!

Bad service amazed they get any repeat custom. A new manager is needed and proper staff training in customer service. The food was actually ok but will not be returning.

Visited here 4 times before, first two times everything was fab, the food was fab and service was quick. The third time we went with myself and 7 other friends, the food took 1 hour to come, and even when it did come they brought 2 meals at a time then it took a further 5 minutes for the next two meals to come. After that they didn't bring one meal (a pulled pork burger) so we asked where it was they said it would be 10 minutes, after 10 minutes they brought over chips and pulled pork. We returned these and asked for the burger which was ordered, they brought it over without the mushroom which had been ordered but we couldn't be bothered to ask again for it to be changed. We got told that for the trouble we could have some free onion rings and garlic bread, these come about 30 minutes later after we had all finished eating and was about to leave, and there was 3 onion rings and a piece of garlic bread between 8 of us. Today I went with my boyfriend thinking that it may of just been that there was 8 of us and it was busy last time, but we were wrong. We ordered our food at 13:20, and got told that it would take 25 minutes, our food arrived at 14:10 after we asked where it was. We didn't even get an apology or an explanation as to why it took so long, the bar had barely any people in! It's such a shame because the food is so tasty, I had a flatbread and my boyfriend had the pizza. Probably will not be returning, which is a shame. More competent staff are needed.

Came here earlier for a few drinks after work, ended up walking out 20 minutes later after still not being served and wasn't even busy just one person behind the bar. Saw a another woman just standing there so I asked her to be served and her reply was im management I don't serve! What a rude arrogant stuck up lady. Can't see this business lasting long looking at other reviews as well !!

I have been to Wild Lime a few times; the 'Feast for a fiver' deal is really good value and the food is usually pretty good but the service is consistently appalling.Unfortunately, the 'Feast for a fiver' deal is not available on a weekend so in a recent visit we basically had the same thing but ended up paying double the price. This would have been okay if the food had matched the previous quality. Firstly, it took over 40 minutes to get our food which was unacceptable given that it wasn't overly busy. When it did come, the "mac'n'cheese" was merely cooked pasta covered in mozeralla for £3, unrecognizable from the one we ordered previously in the week (in our most recent visit we were told that this is no longer available but has still not been taken off the menu). I ordered the wild lime pizza this time, which came without any blue cheese on it, again unacceptable for something costing £9.25. In addition to this, the only people working in the bar were two very inexperienced-looking young men who spent most of their time wondering around looking uninterested and doing nothing (there was an uncleared table behind us for at least 20 minutes). When I went to register my complaint at the bar, I discovered that due to illness, there was no supervisor. I feel that this is unacceptable in any pub or restaurant, especially given that it was one of the guys first ever shifts. All they could offer me, apart from many apologies, was a free drink or a chance to talk the chef.On other occasions the service has been just as poor, even with trained staff on duty and the cocktails seem to take them forever to make so you end up standing at the bar waiting for 15 minutes for a drink. On one occasion the barmaid said the food would be 30 minutes and her exasperated supervisor (?) said no, it would be 20. In general staff seem poorly trained and slow.On various occasions we certainly haven't been the only unhappy customers and some people have come in, seen the lack of organisation and left without ordering. I would like to point out that the food is very good, hence the 3 star rating and my visiting more than just the once. However, the service really does let them down and the atmosphere is a little confusing; large tvs playing football matches in a seemingly surfer-themed restaurant/bar.

When this place first opened it was great. The staff were attentive, the food was great and the service was very quick. I've been here a few times, and it was slowly descending into a bad experience. This time round was shocking. I know it's a relaxed place but we got in, sat down for about 10 minutes and no one even greeted us, the table was filthy, it didn't even look like it had been cleaned last night. We arrived at about 11:30. the two women 'working' were sat eating breakfast and couldn't be less bothered about their customers. We ended up having to go to the bar to order our food and drink. There's nothing that tells us to go to the bar. It used to be table service, and be greeted.I ordered a fresh lime and soda I got tap water No lime.Just tap water.When the young woman came to deliver our drinks, my mum kindly asked if we could have the table wiped, she said yes and came back, but only wiped half the table.Are they hungover? Possibly.My dad and my mums drinks were fine but we've been waiting here (currently here as I wrote this) for about an hour now and still no food. I ordered the duck hoisin flatbread, my mum had the chicken flatbread and my dad had the breakfast sandwich. Mine and mums were cold but tasty enough to eat, I finished mine, but mum and dad left a fair bit. No on came to check in on us. No one said goodbye as we left.Terrible service, subpar food, left pretty angry that we paid for that.

I visit wild lime whenever I have time to kill with friends. Last week we we decided to look on trip advisor and we were shocked at the negative comments! What no one ever seems to mention is how delicious the pizzas are. I always get a wild and meaty, chilli con carne on a pizza is genius. Cocktails seem to always be 241 the only thing that seems to fail this place is the bar staff and management never seem like they want to make the things! With time I think this place will be the place to go for sure.

If you ever want to see what incompetence looks like or poor management then come here. Otherwise avoid at all costs. After numerous bad experiences I have not been here for nearly 5 months, but thought ducking in for a drink would be safe. After waiting nearly 15 minutes to get served, the drink ordered was not sold at the price specified (this place never seems to offer things as advertised, so be prepared for that (e.g. Halloumi salads lack halloumi. Yes, that actually happened). There are only two members of staff on in a full bar. The poor barman was still trying to catch up on drinks orders clearly placed a good while ago. Truly dreadful. The only thing that I think would be worse than drinking here would be working here!

After a terrible experience with food we decided never to eat there again... However we decided to go for a drink on a Monday night hoping the place would redeem itself. Sadly it didn't. After waiting 15 minutes at the bar a flustered young guy said there would be no cocktails as there was already a queue of 25 to be made (and only two members of staff working). After the no cocktail disaster we decided to go for the £10 bottle of prosecco advertises behind the bar only to be told that offer was very out of date and it was actually fully price. He did apologise and say he would ask the manager but she was too busy to deal with that and so we paid full price. Not only will we not be going back for food (which we heard the bar man strongly suggest to another customer that she not bother ordering) but we won't be coming back for drinks either.

Waited 20 minutes for a lager and a soft drink. Approx 8pm Friday night. The bar was not at all busy but the three bar staff were searching for cocktail ingredients, trying to locate bottles of spirits, generally moving at a snail's pace. One barmaid apologised for the wait - then promptly disappeared again. I dread to think how long it takes to be served when it's busy, if this ever happens. Oh, and there were five cubicles in the ladies' toilet: one broken door, one without seat, one blocked, one out of order, the only usable one had a broken seat. You have to laugh.

Hopefully it's turned itself around by now but I can still remember it. The wait was unreasonably long given it wasn't very busy, the chicken was seriously overcooked and two of a group of five found hairs in our food.

After waiting at the bar 10 minutes for a drink, we proceeded to order food at 8.40pm. Took ages to get served again and by the time we were served, the barmen told us food had finished as the kitchen was closing early! Which was out of order in our opinion and completely messed up our plans and so we went to the bar to get our drinks refunded and were spoken to (after another long wait) by the manager. She was rude and took up a lot of our time when we needed to go and find somewhere else to get food (as it was past 9 at this point!). She was asking us to point out the specific barman who had served us...we didn't feel comfortable with this, because the bar staff had been perfectly pleasant, service was slow but it wasn't their fault that it was so busy, and they don't work in the kitchen so it wasn't their fault that we couldn't get food. We got our drinks refunded in the end which was good but we certainly wont be going back. Shame as we went there several times last year and had good experiences

I've seen this bar have 3 different names, owners and purposes during my time in Southampton and this is by far the best.Ideal for watching sports or having cocktails. Cocktails always 2-for-1 and often offers on wine bottles, prosecco etc. Good isn't bad for a "bar" type place at all.Renovated recently with modern decor, lots of wood and pendant lights etc. Light, bright and loads of seating! Well worth a stop on your night out/for a quick bite.

Came in for drinks with friends, the place is nice, but the service at the bar is very slow. The staff were clearly new in the job, however after waiting 10 minutes to be served, I was served a pint in a glass smaller than a pint, had to ask the server to give me a point glass to proove it wasn't a pint. Then my friend bought a couple of cocktails, after waiting for them for 10 minutes, he then spent 15 minutes waiting at the bar to find out why he hasn't yet received them! Unless you are bringing your own drinks, I would give this one a miss!
