I had a coffee and the other two people in my group had tea,

Extremely rude and unhelpful receptionist. Very average food.

Ideal meeting place for mature friends. Quiet club-style atmosphere. Afternoon tea available in sweet or savoury options. I don't recommend the savoury. Cold pork pie, sausage roll, and scotch egg were fairly tasteless. Sandwiches were excellent, and I enjoyed the quiche. My partner really enjoyed the sweet version. Menu available for hot meals.

Used a voucher. Had a savoury and a sweet tea. Both very good, staff very attentive.

Three families coming from three different directions and this came up on Tripadvisor as a top venue in the mid-way locality. We were not disappointed! What a lovely building! So grand! The food was lovely and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Great customer service, thank you. Notes: There is no parking on site. There is street parking close by, some of which is pay at metre. Food portions are modest (in keeping with the style of the building). Book ahead, there is limited seating. We went for lunch for my birthday, very quiet but lovely place, well it was a Thursday afternoon in February. I had the beef dish 😍 it was soooo good! Staff very friendly and welcoming, as it is a big building and can look quite daunting but beautiful inside! 👍

Savoury afternoon tea for two at 15:30. We had the restaurant to ourselves, music playing in background, restaurant looked lovely. We were greeted, seated and served by a young man, who initially was very attentive and polite and gave us the impression that we were in for a treat. We asked for one of the egg sandwich to be replaced by an additional cheese sandwich, which we were told was no trouble. We were informed at the start that endless hot drinks were included in the price and our choice of drinks could be charged during the sitting. Afternoon tea was brought to the table by a lady. Unfortunately, as requested the egg sandwich had not been replaced by an additional cheese sandwich and we were warned that we may want to wait for the scotch eggs to cool down as they were hot and runny. The sandwiches, quiche and savoury scones were tasty. After being served and during our 1.5 hour sitting we were not again approached by a member of staff. We had to call someone over to ask if we could have a second drink, the coffee latte was freshly made, but the filtered coffee was obviously not fresh. We had to leave the table and approach a member of waiting staff to ask for the bill and to pay. On leaving the restaurant, we seen no members of staff and left without a thank you or goodbye. A shame as £60 was spent for a birthday celebration and it was definitely not the service or experience we were expecting. However, on paying the bill, we were informed they were busy preparing for a Burns night celebration, so maybe we just choose the wrong day and time for a visit.

Great place for lunch, the staff couldn't be more friendly and the food was a pleasure. Looking forward to going back highly recommend.

Excellent meal as usual. Little disappointed with the usual impeccable service. A new member of staff needs a lot of in house training to maintain the standards. Dan was excellent but the more experienced staff need to pass on their expertise.

As a regular visitor to Leamington i knew of this building, having drove past it more times than i can remember but had never had the pleasure of being inside it, until today. Me and my mum had a savoury and a sweet afternoon tea to share between us: Sweet £23.50 and Savoury £25 On arrival we recieved a bottle of free water for the table and unlimited top ups of a selection of teas (coffee, hot chocolate and prosecco also for an extra fee) Food arrived after about 15-20 mins after arrival which we were pleased with as it indicated freshness and the sandwhiches and cakes being made from scratch rather than coming out immediately after being prepared earlier and sat around for hours. We also like taking our time eating/talking and making an occassion out of it rather than being in and out in 30 minutes. Good selection of sanwiches, savoury bits and cakes across both teas. Everything tasted delicious and was well presented. The afternoon tea is served in the restaurant upstairs. The entire building and tea room are beautiful offering a relaxed, comfortable and elegant ambience. Service from every waiter/waitress was polite and attentive. Will certainly be returning in the future as we felt Wittles over delivered on quality and taste and is very reasonably priced for what you recieve. We certainly were made to feel special in this Grade 2 listed building, a nice change from the everyday.

Lunch and afternoon tea. Lunch was delicious, beautifully presented and tasty. Afternoon tea is too expensive for what it is, I'd expect actual smoked salmon not salmon pate. The sandwiches are not sophisticated fillings, more childlike than adult palate. Service is very slow even with no other residents to be served in the restaurant. A pity as it's a beautiful surroundings

I wanted to treat my fiance to a special, traditional afternoon tea and Whittles did not disappoint. The service was 1st class and Dan that served us was so genuine and accomodating. The scones were amazing and and the place looks and feels so nice and relaxing. Would 100% recommend the afternoon tea here.

Went for afternoon tea as it was my 70th and my friend belated 70th. We asked for one sweet tea and one savory tea. But we never had scotch egg, quiche or a sausage roll. The amount we had was not worth the money as I am sure it was just for one person and not two. We were not asked if we wanted anymore tea either. We were the only 2 in a huge room and really could have sat us where there were others. So there was no atmosphere. Also whilst we sat there they were moving tables around which I didn't like at all. The place is lovely and very clean. But not worth the money as feel cheated out of the savory tea.

Afternoon tea with unlimited prosecco for 1.5 hours! Fantastic food, ambience, service and value for money. Thank you Whittles, I hope you put on another promotion like this one soons!

A great find, good food, lovely staff and a fantastic venue

We booked online for high tea which on the confirmation stated the price of set menu for 2 table was ours for 1.5 hours waiting half an hour for a hot drink then further 10 minutes for our food was only when we paid the price was double what the booking said ! Nowhere does it say price per person so do beware as £47 for 2 people is very steep for what you get !

We visited for a birthday lunch to celebrate my father’s birthday. What a joy! The food was superb with such fresh flavours. The menu was not overwhelmingly long (this is a good point for us!) and we all loved our choices. Our waiter was extremely courteous, helpful and had such warmth. We were so pleased we had chosen Whittles. Dad felt very well looked after and we all intend to return. The decor at Whittles is glorious and it’s lovely to see inside this historic building which I used to drive past when it was a sixth form school. It has been beautifully restored.

We took our parents for a celebratory afternoon tea and it didn't disappoint. The food was fresh and delicious and there was a lovely variety of cakes. The scones were yummy too and there was a good selection of teas to pick from. Would definitely recommend.

We came here for lunch and were very impressed. Lovely setting with light streaming in from the large attractive windows. Good chairs with padding and white tablecloths - a proper restaurant. Service was friendly, and others who were regulars were greeted by name and their favourite drinks brought. Food was delicious- well balanced, good portions and reasonably priced. I had difficulty deciding between so many options that I liked. Good choice of wines by the glass but also fancy soft drinks at reasonable prices. Good for afternoon tea or lunch, but they close early in the evening.

We had afternoon tea. The food was delicious, the staff were so friendly and kind (making an extra special effort when they learnt that it was mine and my sister's birthday). The setting is really lovely too. I thoroughly recommend it and will definitely visit again soon.

12 of us had afternoon tea, just wow, it was amazing, the sandwiches and cakes were all delicious. The staff were so helpful, friendly and accommodating, especially our server James, nothing was too much trouble for him. This was a surprise for my sister Linda’s 70th birthday, we all thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon and will definitely be returning very soon.

I traveled from Japan to drop my daughter off at Warwick University. Wanted a delightful meal for me, my Mum and especially my daughter. I'd searched and searched for an excellent restaurant and thought I had found one. Then I got this email the day before we were traveling up to drop her off in this once-in-a-lifetime experience: "I can only apologize that no one has answered your query. I’m just picking this up now. However, we have had a last-minute wake book in for an owner of one of our apartments so we will not be open to the public that day or evening im afraid, I can only apologise for the short notice as it is a last minute thing to us also so we will unfortunately have to cancel the booking for tomorrow evening. If there are any other dates, please let me know and ill take a look for you." sent the day before the booking, reserved 3 weeks before. I suspect, as it is a death, that the restaurant would have had more notice than this, but left me hanging last minute. I do not appreciate it. I am sympathetic to their cause, but not the day before.

Stunning place. A real hidden gem. Had gorgeous afternoon tea which we couldn't finish and had to box it up to take home! They also do a savoury version. We didn't try it but it looked amazing on other tables.

Although we booked some time ago it was the right place to visit when outside temperatures were 31c. The setting for our afternoon tea was just delightful. Sympathetically and tadtefully decorated in shDes of blue. Now let's get down to the aftetnoon tea. We couldn't fault it. We had both the savoury ( a generous assortment of sandwiches, mini quiches, pork pie and superb sausage rolls as well as cheese scones) The sweet selection had mini trifle, macaroon, dainty little cakes and sweet scones with clotted cream and jam. The staff engaged with us and were professional and efficient, answering any questions with humour. It was all delicious. We will certainly visit again to eat in this beautiful building

Had a delicious afternoon tea at Whittles today - a true gem in Leamington Spa. The sandwiches, scones and cakes were all amazing, for a very reasonable price too. We have to make a special mention for Dan who served us - he was so friendly, attentive and made us feel so welcome - nothing was too much trouble. Amazing service from start to end so thank you!

We had an amazing afternoon tea yesterday for my Dad's birthday, there were six of us and we had the lovely round table in the window. We were really well looked after and the food was delicious, thoroughly recommend.

Wonderful venue for both my wife and I to entertain, our special niece ( Visiting from Romania) to Afternoon Tea. The atmospheric room, in which we had our feast was perfect and the tea, both the savoury one and the sweet one, were superb. The one thing that even surpassed this quality repast was our host/server, Dan. He is charming, knowledgeable and very efficient, providing the perfect balance of Quality and Customer Service to the Location, Venue and Food. This place is definitely on our Must Return To list.

First visit to this beautiful venue for a Mother's Day luncheon. Absolutely fabulous food in a stunning surrounding with hard working and attentive staff. Strongly recommended.

We went here to celebrate Valentine’s Day this year. Very fresh, high quality and satisfying food. The best English we’ve been out for. Super clean and flawless. We couldn’t stop looking at the decor which was exceptional and very old English themed. The entire building was majestic. Downstairs there was a library themed room where you can play scrabble/chess and have a drink. Would definitely be back.

We came here to have afternoon tea they were so accommodating of my mum allergies to soya and dairy !! Nothing was to much trouble and she had CAKES no jellies like other places. Now the staff omg the staff were so friendly and welcoming such a joy to be served by them Dan and Devon went the extra mile and we will definitely be coming again !! I couldn't Recommend this place enough !!

We visited today for afternoon tea, and it was honestly the best I've ever had! We had one traditional and one savoury to share, and everything was absolutely delicious, and such excellent quality! The stand-outs were the cheese scones and bacon jam (the bacon jam was a revelation!), the quiche, Eton mess and the scones with jam and cream - but every single thing was divine. There was a good selection of teas, too. We happened to have the restaurant to ourselves, but the atmosphere was still good, tranquil and peaceful but not so quiet as to feel uncomfortable. This was all topped off by first-class service - the gentleman who looked after us was LOVELY, so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed, but unobtrusively. We really couldn't have asked for better, it made for such a lovely afternoon and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Anita and James organised my much-postponed 'Big' Birthday lunch. This was the third rearranged date! From our first meeting with Anita many months ago to the actual event, we were treated SO well with lots of communication during a very difficult time. We were able to pre-order for our party which worked very well too. On the day, James organised arrival drinks, and the food was exceptional- the venue is superb, but the service was absolutely outstanding. Our servers were all lovely, friendly professionals who went above and beyond. To be perfectly honest, Anita and her team do Whittles at Binswood more than credit! Our guests were very happy, and so were we!

Had a fabulous afternoon tea here today. The food was delicious, the cakes and sweet treats were lovely and so well presented. We have a cocktail each which was delicious and very stylish. Well worth the extra £5! The staff were so lovely!! We were served by two gentlemen who kept coming over to check if we needed more tea/ coffee and to check we were happy with everything. They were very attentive and each had a good sense of humour too. They made us feel very welcome! We had a temperature check on arrival and all staff wore masks - this made us feel very safe. The room was stunning and was very well kept. Our cutlery and tea cups were gorgeous too. We had a fantastic time and we really felt it was value for money!! Will definitely return here again and will encourage friends to visit too.

Came here for my birthday w my family and had a lovely experience! Our main waiter Dan was incredibly lovely and very accomodating. I was initially a bit wary of eating here as I'm vegan but the afternoon tea they provided me with was amazing and all the staff were very happy to make adjustments for my vegan diet. Lovely afternoon tea. We had both the traditional afternoon tea and the savoury afternoon tea and both were delicious. The scotch egg was the best we’ve ever tried and the scones were light and fluffy with a crisp exterior. The staff really made us feel very welcome. We had 2 young children in our party and the staff went out of there way to make them comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. We could change the sandwich fillings (plain ham rather than with sun dried tomatoes, just salmon instead of a mixture) to suit our taste. The staff came over often to see if we needed more tea or coffee (free refills). The afternoon tea was served in a beautiful room (spotlessly clean) with a relaxed atmosphere. Can’t fault anything about our afternoon tea. Thank you so much 😊 and once more a big thank you to the man serving us, he was really friendly and helpful. Will definitely return. 5/5

We had lunch here. I thought it was very well priced for the quality of the good which was excellent. I had a warm pork hock salad for starter followed by haddock and chips and a lovely choux bun for desert. Very nice building and staff were very likeable. Bargain really.

Really beautiful and exquisite interior design, and the dessert was delicious. Spent a lovely afternoon with my friend, there was unlimited drink including coffee and all kinds of tea. The service was really good, no one is rushing you. I would recommend others to eat in there for sure.

Whittle’s at Binswood Leamington Spa Been here several times and I don't even live close! Every time I leave with a full tummy and a smile on my face. The food here is incredible and there is so much to choose from. Such good value for money and never disappoints. If you love classic food with a modern twist an good service then this is the place for you. Every portion prepared with great care and seasoned well as expected from a good restaurant. You are show to your table and offered drinks and if you haven’t been before they explain the Menu to you. The service is friendly and uncomplicated. Then the main course was exquisite and dessert to die for. We will definitely be back.

Afternoon tea with some of the team from work. Impressive selection of sandwiches, scone jam and cream, cake, posset and other treats. Lovely selection of tea. It’s a lovely building and the food was great will be coming back to try the G & T option. The staff are lovely and friendly, nice atmosphere. Parking is on the road outside (2 hours) or nearby Covent Garden is a 5 min walk

Had afternoon tea here with friends for a post Christmas treat. I had the traditional, which included sandwiches, slice of cake, scone and a couple of small desserts. Others had the savoury which included pork pie, scotch egg etcBoth were lovely and very good value. The service was friendly and professional. It gets very busy so you will need to book.

My wife and I visited Whittles this afternoon for their Valentines afternoon tea.The service was excellent, the sandwiches cakes and scones were very fresh and tasty, and we had a lovely afternoon.This is actually the fifth time we have visited Whittles and we can’t recommend it highly enough.

I booked in line for 8 people, email confirmation came through stating the table was booked, the day before we were due to go the restaurant called me to say I hadn’t paid a deposit, I said I booked online and didn’t mention anything about that, she replied by saying not it doesn’t ask you to’ I said maybe you should change the website! It’s a very beautiful, impressive building, unfortunately the service was very slow and the food was very average- the menu stated the items we would have with the savoury tea, unfortunately an item was missing and they didn’t seem bothered and said we should pre ordered - there was nothing to say we needed to pre order if having the savoury option, in fact I didn’t even know they offered this until we got there! Overall impression is very average- not somewhere I would rush to visit again. The male waiter was absolutely lovely, really friendly and helpful.
