We come here regularly with our children, friends and our dogs are also welcome. The sausage rolls are amazing and the homemade cakes are all absolutely delicious! We also get the added benefit of being able to buy a fresh sourdough loaf to takeaway for later. The coffee served here is the best we’ve had locally and with the cafe being based on a working farm, it also means that the children get to pick seasonal fruit and visit the pigs. Absolutely no complaints from us!

We go out for breakfast or lunch poss 4 times a week and have been here in the early days (2021 ish) and thought we’d give it another try. Blinking hell, it’s terrible! The wait to just pay or order is poss the slowest I have ever had it’s not the amount of people but the staff are just slow as hell. You are given a cardboard takeout box to eat out of with wooden cutlery that is rough on tongue and has a nasty taste. The choice, if not having cake, which to be fair is very nice, is pretty much none existent. A sausage roll or cream cheese bagel is about it but to be able to eat it out of box is hard work and paper cups to boot. We don’t mind paying but this is overpriced and to charge £1 for a teaspoonful of chutney is wrong. Lastly it’s a great shame if run well this place could be a great place to go.

We had been here a couple of times before and the tea room is in a nice location with view over the farm. Since our last visit the table service has stopped, there is no proper cutlery or crockery for your food and drinks. I cleaned my own table after waiting for my food and ate an overpriced sausage roll (I could not justify the extra price for the pickle to go with it) with a wooden fork in a cardboard tray whilst drinking a tiny cappuccino in a cardboard cup, then I ate my brownie that was presented in a paper bag? I suspect they get a lot of trade from the pick your own farm but for local people this would not be worth a visit. If you want a lovely coffee and cake go to the Twig and Spoon at Woodlands!

A great place for cream teas or lunch with homemade cakes, delicious scones and even mint tea made with mint leaves freshly picked from the garden. Can be eaten indoors or a out. Located as part of a working farm with PYO orchards and other fruit and veg, even sunflowers and corn on the cob depending on the season. Plus a maize maze. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Altogether a delightful way to spend an afternoon.

Excellent ! In every way! We sat in and had sausage rolls, with homemade pickle, carrot cake and scones with clotted cream and jam. Everything was perfect ! We also got additional slices of cake boxed up for later, those were also delicious. We came back the next day to try their Pain au chocolat and were not disappointed. I consider myself a Pain au chocolat connoisseur and the White finche’s were top notch! We chatted with the mother and daughter owners who were also lovely. Thank you for bringing some sunshine to an otherwise rainy day.

My wife and I have visited Whitefinch Tea rooms 3 times now. Each time the service has been excellent, as is the produce they bake on the premises. Their scones are in a league of their own. In addition, they bake Croissant's, Pain au Chocolat, which are both enormous in scale, and will be next on my list to try. The tea room is spotlessly clean, and is also dog friendly, which is no problem, as the dogs I have met in their have always been on their best behaviour. I totally recommend Whitefinch Tea room to you, see you there.

Lovely tea room. Love being able to watch the team making cakes etc. The cakes looked amazing. The sausage rolls were lovely. Def try the lime / ginger / pear drink it was so refreshing. We bought a number of bottles of apple & pear juice & even bought some as a present they tasted great. Was nice having the sunflowers in vases around and watching the bees flying to them. Nice seating area outside also. Lovely remote location

We popped in today for the first time and we’re so impressed by the friendly staff and selection of cakes. We bought several things for takeaway and have since had a great day feasting on all the goodies we bought: - superb homemade sausage rolls, outstanding carrot cake and gorgeous, very fruity ‘moist’ gluten free rhubarb and orange flapjack - yum! I don’t normally eat that much carby snacky food in one day but WOW was it ever good! 😆

Waited 45 minutes for food, asked if the food was going to be much longer and was told it had been given to someone else. I thought that was the idea of table numbers. Hence left without food. I was given a refund but not the point.

The Windmill Tavern is a precious gem. My wife took me there yesterday for Sunday lunch to mark a rare day off. It was the best Sunday lunch we have ever had out without a doubt! We started with prawn cocktails. This had to be followed by the roast beef and all the trimmings. The topside was superb, perfectly cooked and succulent but the portion was far too generous. There was attention to detail with everything on the plate. The carrot and parsnip were tasty. The cauliflower was cheesy. The roast potatoes were crisp on the outside and fluffy within and the Yorkshire pudding was great both in flavour and texture. The wine we chose was top of the range. And the service was impeccably friendly. All in all I had the best outing for a very long time. Thank you.
