The service and good quality here is the best in Dover. We’ve eaten here a few times and will continue to do so for a hearty breakfast that is cooked to perfection.

10am, 3 staff, 1/2 dozen customers and a 25 min wait for takeaway coffee . No one seemed to know what they were doing and the orders that did come out were wrong

Cheap and cheerful, huge selection of breakfast platters, plentiful food with a cup of tea and bread and butter, just what the doctor ordered.

Staff are very friendly and the cafe is very clean and tidy. Staff accommodated dietary requirements and changes well and the food was very reasonable. Unfortunately the food was very bland and tasteless.

The best English breakfast I’ve EVER tasted! So much variety (multiple combinations), REAL chips (yes, cut from an actual potato), and fried eggs so beautifully cooked, I’d love to know the secret. Friendly, family-type atmosphere. Toilet always absolutely clean.

Wow, I have never experienced a breakfast so disgusting in all my life. Just slopped on a plate, totally overcooked. Charged me £8.50. In fact I'm going to call environmental health. The place was filthy.

We were in Dover to visit the cliffs, all of a sudden pur hungry stomach starts mumbling. We walked around just to find everything was closed. Everything except this quite retrò and hopelessly romantic place. We went in and ordered an absolutely delicious chicken and mushroom soup, a dish of fish and chips and this amazingly plate of dinner roast. All of them were incredible. The service was also very vintage but impeccable. We really enjoyed this kind of early 00’ atmosphere. I absolutely recommend it if you wanna eat local and don’t mind spend time in non-fancy che place but familiar and cozy place.

Stopped off here for a late lunch with my partner, the cafe was nice, bright and inviting, good start. We chose a table, sat down and picked up the menu. Within seconds a lady appeared to take our order (maybe giving customers more than a minute to look at the menu would be advisable) we ordered and after a short wait the food arrived. My partners breakfast looked ok but on closer inspection and half way thru he found his egg was not cooked so was left uneaten, the same was said for mine, 2 eggs that were definitely not cooked. The place was empty, not exactly rush time, how something like that can be overlooked is mind boggling. We paid and left, unhappy and hungry. We will not go back.

I stopped here for the first time thinking it might be good from the reviews I’ve read, unfortunately I was sadly disappointed.I had a number 4 which consists of 2 small sausages, 1 raw egg, 2 re heated bacon, 2 black pudding and a very small portion of beans and some toast.Highly disappointed at the decor and the cheap ingredients that I received, as I say the egg was raw! how can you not do an egg correctly when you do the same thing every day, day in day out?Today I’m not feeling good at all and have taken the day off work for the stomach pain, the place is stuck in the 90s and overpriced for what you receive.

Attempted to go here for lunch today. Queued up for half an hour to be told that the kitchen was not taking food orders and to come back in 10 minutes. Half an hour later queued up again to be told still no food orders being taken. We had 4 very hungry and disappointed children. Had to buy them cakes instead which weren’t that great either. Also heard a waiter being very rude to other customers. Will not be returning!!

Me and my partner regularly go the White Cliffs Cafe (usually every Sunday morning) Never ever had an issue. Staff are so lovely and friendly. There is such a wide range of food, from Roast dinners to curry, this place has alot of choice. All of which is very tasty and quick to come out.It is wheelchair friendly and is a good place to bring kids.

The cafe was bright, clean and inviting (a safe haven from the rain) we were swiftly served all our visit by a very happy, friendly and polite woman. I couldnt fault her. This is a pleasant and welcoming place to eat. Family run. Good food, good service and a hearty breakfast with tea/ coffee and either bread and butter or with toast will set you back a reasonable £6.Never tire of having a breakfast at the white cliffs (opposite the police station). Good value and recommended anytime for that breakfast out treat.

Simon and his family run a lovely little Cafe, very friendly, terrific food. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We have two grandchildren who can be fussy with food, and the third one is a "sausage and chips aficionado." Simon actually loves catering for them and always tries to cook something special for them. We eat there about once a month.

Describing themselves as the best, the slogan outside is not that exaggerated - it is a great café, but a little off the shoppers' track so possibly overlooked. A reviewer who mentioned a great view of the eastern cliffs must have been elsewhere as the café looks across at the Police station! They open long hours from 7 am to 6.30 pm each day, and the coloured chalk boards are backed up by printed menus describing all day breakfasts, omelettes and my favourite- Shepherds pie. One customer asked for mixed fruit without ice cream and it looked she got, like me, a tin full. The café seats 32 and a high chair can be supplied. Tables have laminated tablecloths, and one wall is mirrored facing red brick effect wallpaper. A repeat visit to try more dishes is on the cards.

We stopped here for breakfast before catching our ferry. There is a good selection of standard breakfasts or smaller items like beans on toast. My £6 breakfast was massive, including lots of items, all nicely cooked. The price included hot toast and a large mug of tea made just the way I asked for it. Friendly staff and customers.

Run by a lovely family, this cafe serves great breakfasts ( I haven't tried other meals but they look just as good) all day and great coffee! Affordable and welcoming this is a lovely pitstop and good for meeting chums and hanging out over simple old fashioned "grub". Not haute cuisine and all the better for it. Summary: decent, clean, affordable, simple with good coffee and a warm welcome.

Food has always been good but such a shame that staff think it's ok to allow customers to swear and insult others- including children! Not only did Staff and manager do nothing about it - they continued to provide alcohol to said customer and watch his behaviour drive more people away from their breakfasts! Appalling and will never be returning!

Wasn't expecting much from this place as it looked a bit dire and down beat. However it's a real surprise. Nice and clean and spacious inside, staff really friendly and welcoming. Alas it's the same old tasteless white coffee but never kind. The food was good, not sure about the bubble and squeak. It's a bit pricey considering, and comes in as one of the deare breakfasts but only by a quid but hey. Found the menus on the board confusing, it needs simplifying and put on a menu. Overall very good and worth a punt.

Visited for our daughters birthday very very disappointed food poor quality. 3/4 had chips which were just basic skin on frozen fries . Eggs were cheap ones . I had the lamb rump which was tough as old boots not given a steak knife had too ask for 1 even then couldn’t really eat the meat it was such poor quality and fatty. The gravy watery the bubble and squeak burnt and cold carrots and “buttered “ cabbage cold boiled cabbage avoid so so disappointing the whole meal was and definitely overpriced

A fabulous overnight stop in our campervan. We had a very warm welcome from Dylan who looked after us very well. The bar & restaurant was very busy however Dylan’s professionalism as a server made his job appear easy! Our food was served in a timely manner, piping hot and so delicious! The pastry on the vegetable tart was so tasty with added herbs. The gammon steak burger with an egg was very moreish. Now to the sticky toffee pudding with piping hot custard, a decent size portion, thank goodness we shared! Believe me when I say this is a lovely pub with scrumptious food, & fabulous service from Dylan
