We booked a wake here for my late grandfather and it was absolutely lovely. We had a private room to ourselves along with access to the beer garden for our little ones. All drinks went onto a tab until the end and the food was great. The table set up was just what we wanted. Thank you so much for a lovely send off for our grandfather.

Went for the Sunday Lunch. Excellent value. Well prepared and good service. We were seated near the rear door and the only slight issue was that it was draughty when people left the door open. Will be visiting again.

We called in on a quiet Thursday evening, in January. The kitchen was still open and we were treated to the most amazing Thai food. We can strongly recommend this pub, great food, very pleasant owners and a nice place to visit.

A sunday lunch service, but we weren't there to eat, just a few drinks. Excellent service and a really great atmosphere, well done on finally getting this great pub back on its feet!

Have really just enjoyed lunch here. Roast dinner was excellent, the veg was beautifully cooked. The beef burger was lovely. Careful of the cheesy chips, I ordered a large, it was massive, eyes were bigger than my belly 😊 Staff were very friendly and polite. Our dogs were welcome in the beer garden. Thank you it was great.

Lovely family Sunday roast today, fresh veg lovely selection of meats, delicious gravy and all piping hot. Great selection of desserts and offered ice-cream for the children

We went there after a friend's funeral. . So well looked after by sympathetic staff.

Me and my friend went in for food this evening, and what a change from microwave pizza to freshly cooked homemade food. It was delicious we both had the lasagne, we couldn't fault it one bit brilliant quality food portion size was excellent and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be returning 😁

For our first visit, it was ok although for a Thursday night it was a tad loud, wasn't really able to chat properly but maybe I'm just getting old, lol

The NHS had a party here on the 13th August 2022. 2pm till 8pm . The garden was big and we had 3 bands perform. There was a bouncy castle and climbing frames for kids and they loved it. Also face painting .This pub went obove and beyond 1st drinks free for nurses and the buffet was exceptional . Drinks price's were very reasonable. We had the best time. I will definitely be back and its in a great location aswell. If you haven't been here then you should try it loved it.

First the good points. Clean and tidy pub. Unfortunately i felt i'd bumped into a stag/hen party. The young staff where loud and raucious between themselves. Really unfortunate, but it made us feel uncomfortable. No ale on draught, and quite expensive for what it was.

Fantastic garden for families. A very nice pub, can get very crowded and a little rowdy when the sun has been out. Regularly has live music, allows dogs. Haven't eaten there in a while but the food does smell amazing.

Me and husband go here all the time for dinner, beautiful food, and pleasent staff, also I'm disabled and staff have been very helpful.

The bowling green seems well liked and recommended on the local facebook pages so I decided to give it a go for sunday dinner ... I ordered the Pork belly .. I have to say the plate looked quite impressive at first sight but went downhill from there on.. The pork was a huge chunk of meat as big as a fist with a very crispy crackling which tasted good ... after peeling of the crackling I could get no further ... the meat itself was as tough as boot leather and the cutlery supplied just wasn't capable of cutting into it .. veg was ok and plentiful but roast potato's were undercooked ... I commented to my waitress that the meat was poor and she agreed !! , but offered no alternatives or compensation .. I also commented very politely that I was disappointed with my first visit to the Bowling green but waitress was clearly not programmed to respond to difficult comments and walked away quietly after taking my money .. Maybe I will try again in the summer .. perhaps I just caught them on a bad day .

Nice location (amazing kids play area!) and friendly staff. Can’t comment on the ale because they had none on draught when we visited.

As a resident nearby, not welcome. Noise, music, fake Disney Land garden. Let's have a quiet local Me again ....even worse...volume sky high in a residential area...out of order....we need to live together harmoniously as a community ...Same again this afternoon, small garden, festival volume not necessary. Give residents a break (12th September)

Booked a table for 4 as a wedding anniversary lunch. The food was hot, clean and tasty and they accommodated my friend who has a different diet. The young waitress was attentive, smart and polite, the conservatory was light and airy. We sat in the garden after lunch and enjoyed the afternoon. Will definitely go again as it was really fab. Well done all at the Bowling Green. Thank you for their surprise lunch.

Went for a meal at 6-30 was kept waiting for a while,wanted steak was told not available,then when our meal was finished was kept ages before our plates were cleared.Then we asked for a sweet menu and was told the chef had gone home this was at 8pm.The pub was full of young people that was really loud.Wont be going there again.

Fabulous, delicious food! We had gone last summer and were very disappointed. Because of its convenient location we decided to give it another go right before Christmas. We were told that they had hired 3 new chefs and boy did the food reflect it! We’ve been there 3 times since Christmas now and have to just raved about the food. The staff is lovely and very friendly!

First time it was a really good, took family this time, they have changed the menu, nothing on the menu was the same totally bland , didn't order left for somewhere else, not going back sorry!

Great pint, refurbishments to a great standard

Dropped in by chance for lunch and was very pleasantly surprised by the friendly welcome and delicious meals chosen from a varied menu. All cooked fresh and will certainly visit again and recommend to others.

Spacious and nicely furnished traditional looking pub, Good atmosphere as well, very good place to hold a function,reception or party, nice garden area with good facilities for a family with a good play area. Ample Parking is available in the small car park or adjacent street.

Excellent variety and good value food. Staff very friendly and attentive. Only thing that spoilt the evening was smokers kept walking through restaurant and opening the outer door, letting in cols air and stale cigarette smoke.

Hi... Just to let you know how disappointed my friends and I were yesterday evening with the service we had at the Bowling Green in Deal yesterday evening 02/11/19. We had a party of 8 booked for 7.30pm. We arrived and as we sat down we were asked if we were ready to order. We hadn't even opened the menus. We asked about the specials board which is advertised on your web site only to be to told that it had been wiped clean. The waitress we had had no idea about the menu. She wasn't new as some of our party had been to the venue before and she was serving then... Same waitress came out from the kitchen to ask those who had ordered burgers if they wanted leaky cheese, garlic butter or just cheese on their burger. Nobody wanted garlic butter but opted for the other two. When burgers arrived Customers were told that there was only normal cheese available and it was put in front of them... no discussion before hand. One customer had a burger with no onion rings on so he ordered some only to find out after it should have been included in his meal. It was taken off the bill. Later when I went to the bar I was told that if we wanted dessert we couldn't have any as the chefs had gone home. The waitress went soon after. It was a really unacceptable especially as I work in the hospitality industry in a Five star hotel. I may not expect 5* standards but I would expect some standards from you. The whole experience was disappointing and we will not be recommending you to any one. In fact I will be talking to my friends who are critics in the industry about it. We were hurried and made to feel that we were unwanted and that we did not matter. You need to improve your customer service and some of your cooking. Garlic bread cooked on one side is NOT acceptable and having the cooked side burnt.... Well...... what can I say. Get your act together... Remember social media is a powerful tool....

Excellent personal service from friendly and attentive staff. 4 of us ordered different meals today and all were of a very high standard in quality and presentation. Our assistance dog was welcomed and accommodated with no fuss and no hassle. Something here for everybody, would totally recommend. This was our second visit and it won’t be our last.

Totally spotless, all redecorated - so much brighter. Staff couldn't have been nicer.

All the meals were clean and nice sizes, to the point we all left something on our plate..we were all stuffed.. nice ambience..we were made to feel welcome and the birthday girl got a free drink from the landlord..all round an enjoyable evening..will Go again..!!

A decent size garden with slide/play structure but a but rickety with hard ground.can be nice when sunny but a bathtub down.

Food needs to inprove when a kids meal is bigger than the adults take more care in plating up.

Great Sunday roast and plenty of it, the vegetables were all freshly cooked and the roast potatoes excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful, we will definitely be visiting again and would recommend it.

Flat beer, owner/ manager I feel very rude, Sat at the bar dishing out his commands, rudely may I add. Looks like he has his hench mob on stand by. Really needs a lot of attention all round

Terrible service. People walking out due to up to 2 hours waiting time. Waitresses no idea what's going on. Despite booking table I was asked 4 x my name, waitress took order twice an hour apart due to not knowing what was happening.
