I booked this venue for my son's 40th birthday. Nothing was too much trouble, and they even offered to step in when we didn't think the disco was going to come! Lovey and clean, excellent room.

2 pints of Staropramen - £10, Nothing friendly here - been twice now and never again which is what they hope for. This is a locals bar. Might be a nice view beer priced so you don't come back.

The best club in Whitby without a doubt. Great staff and prices and the panoramic views from the bar and beer garden are stunning. One of Whitby’s hidden gems.

Entrance is at end of narrow alley off the road , doesn’t look that appealing but glad we ventured inside. Sat outside on a veranda overlooking the harbour in the afternoon sun which is difficult to do in Whitby. Great beer, cheaper than elsewhere, will definitely go back !

We stayed quite close to this friendly little club with superb river views of the Esk in Whitby seems to be quite a locals hangout but welcoming and friendly, I recommend it if you're not too posh lol

We wanted a quick drink away from the crowds, saw the sign for the bar so went for it! The young guy in a hooded coat was playing with his phone, and when I asked if he was serving said " I won't be a minute". Not a good start! The place was a little dark and could do with a little sprucing up. Went out side, down the fire escape, drank our drinks and left. Enough said!

We enjoyed our visit here. Young bar man was friendly and welcoming. We managed to get a seat outside which faced onto the harbour which was lovely. Covid control on entry were fine but outside there was a bit of table swapping going on and no tables were cleaned while we were there (30mins) but there was plenty of space between people so we always felt comfortable. Well worth a visit as it's different to your standard pubs in town.

We weren't quite sure what to expect when we stopped here for a drink on a Saturday late afternoon. But what a pleasant surprise. The place was heaving with drinkers, most of whom seemed local, all enjoying a rather nice pint in a friendly club atmosphere. Outside there is a beer garden that occupies an enviable position overlooking the estuary and harbour entrance which is a real sun trap on an early October afternoon. Beer prices are modest as you might expect from a Club. I enjoyed a lovely pint of Whitby Whaler. We would return here again.

Having been a rower in a previous life we wandered down the ginnell in Whitby thinking we might spend some time in this ideally located establishment. Our timing alas was off and we were not able to get in. We became mudlarks instead, and watched the rowing later in the day.We still think it will be a great idea to visit this location and we will do so when next we visit Whitby. They deserve your support so do drop in.

I first came across this gem in 2009, and the three or four times I've been back to Whitby since then, I've always nipped in for a pint. A couple of reasons, always friendly, and they have the rare tipple of Carling Premier in draught!Great views, nice sun-terrace down the steps past the bar, and always friendly staff and customers in the place!See you next year guys! :)

Its an old school pub/bar but the beer "garden" has to be worth settling in on when the weather permits. The house Merlot wasnt great but after the first mouthful, and a bit of sun on me , it was superb! Sports tv as well for those wanting to not miss a match. yes, I'd go back.

Hidden down a snicket off Church Street on the East side of the harbour, the WFARC has a friendly, scruffy bar with great harbour views and very good beer, plus, if there's any sun about, it has a little terrace area with even better views. NB: Not to be confused with the W Fishermen's ARC which has the same initials and is next door; although it is no doubt just as friendly, it doesn't have a terrace.

We have been social members of this fantastic bar and club for many years. We love the bar staff, the regular customers and the atmosphere. The drinks are good value for money and it has an amazing view of the river and harbour and out to sea. Sometimes it is a quiet haven - and on other occasions full of life and noise. Great place

My wife uses a walker. We had never been to the Deli before so were unsure how to proceed. The staff completely ignored us. It was as if we were not there, or invisible. Even as we walked out of the Deli, no staff member offered any acknowledgement of us!

Gorgeous place to come to and is always on our list as a ' must go to'when we are in Filey. Beautiful setting and everything here is really delicious. The lemon meringue tart and coffee cake are to die for. It's lovely sitting outside and enjoying the sunshine. Sadly it was raining today and as we have a dog we couldn't go in, there was some seating under a canopy for the ice creams but sadly for us just a bit too chilly to sit out. It is cash only so that is something to always remember when visiting.

This pub/restaurant is under new ownership but the food and the drinks are still of exceptional quality. We visited at lunchtime (midweek), we had reserved our table in advance (this is advisable) and we were met with a very warm welcome. The menu has changed but still offers a good selection. The quality of the food was very good and the presentation appealing. Always a must when we visit this area. Good luck going forward, this place remains a firm favourite with us
