Not only is this pub dog friendly, with large rear garden and outdoor seating, though hounds are allowed inside too, when we got our Sunday roast they gave our dogs a mini bowl too! Now I don't know if that was a end of day thing, but we all thought it was best place ever! The roast was delicious and huge, so while not cheap end, you got total value for money. Staff were friendly, as were the clientele (don't know what that negative review was on about as this is in the poshest part of Bridgwater).

I visited here whilst seeing family and had Sunday lunch. None of us were disappointed. I would put the roast dinner in the category of one of the best I have ever had. It was well presented and was so filling - there was more vegetables than you could eat, loads of meats, great roasties and all the trimmings. Fantastic value and a proper little hidden gem!

Considering they have a shop full of cakes, snacks and doughnuts they have nothing available in their cafe. A full commercial kitchen doing nothing There’s a reason why we were 1 if 3 tables sat in there as there’s no hot food and such a poor selection of snacks and cakes available it’s pointless having the cafe open!!

The staff were polite and friendly and the place generally feels clean with a nice atmosphere. However the service was extremely slow, we waited 40 mins for our starters and a further 30 for our mains. The only thing that came promptly were the desserts. It did not appear to be busy, but I could only see 3 staff for the whole place. The starter tasted good and was presented nicely but I would say over priced at 7 quid for halloumi fries. The cauliflower wings were lovely but neither starter came with the roasted garlic mayo advertised. The mains I would say were definitely over priced. I was glad I had come with a voucher. I had the signature flatbread with halloumi kebab, it was definitely not worth the £16. The kebab had precisely 3 small pieces of halloumi so I basically ended up with a mediocre flatbread with a tonne of wilting salad and then a few pieces of roasted veg and 3 bits of halloumi. I couldn’t understand why it was priced similarly to the meat which is obviously more expensive to produce. My son enjoyed his burger. My daughter ate off the kids menu and the mash with the sausages was in a round patty and my daughter didn’t really want to eat it. The desserts were faultless and delicious. Over all I would say not worth the prices on the menus, and even with a voucher I wasn’t thrilled with what it had cost me. If thinking about visiting maybe go for drinks and dessert.

Very nice carvery we ordered large plates , but were not given that much meat . So you may as well order small plate you will probably get about the same amount of meat and you can have all the veg you want.
