Website makes this look a lit better than it is in reality. Sandwiches, panini and toasties bought in already made and poor choice. Nothing vegetarian. Jacket potato was old and reheated. Cup of tea was acceptable . Would not eat there again.

I keep giving this place a chance during my dog walks and they continue to disappoint. Choice of food - poor. Service - worse! I even overheard one server asking the other about my request for skimmed milk and she was told “just use any milk”..!!! Good job I hadn’t asked for soya milk because of an allergy!!! Needs serious improvement.

The food is overpriced and poor quality. Cafe was very empty during the height of Easter holidays. Bring your own food and drink!

The organisation is abysmal, the poor staff are unable to cope and queues are long. The food choices are very limited and fresh fruit, salad or vegetables sadly lacking. Drink choices are equally poor. The building has good views, plenty of indoor/outdoor seating and good toilets. The food and drinks on sale are very expensive for such poor quality. New management and organisation urgently needed, it could be an outstanding attraction at the country park.

I’m always very happy to find a dog friendly cafe but with this one the staff seemed exasperated that I bought my boy in. I can understand some owners may not be respectful but I always clear up after my dog if he makes a mess with his water etc. The girl behind the counter served the people before us lovely looking hot drinks but then sort of slopped ours in? Was very strange. The park itself is lovely and so much effort has been put into it so maybe they need to put a bit more money into staff training too? The cafe itself is very nice! Would recommend people go to Nowton instead, a lovely cafe with lovely staff!

Lovely cafe in a beautiful setting however the staff member a blonde girl was miserable with shocking customer service. Stood waiting for service there was two members of staff in kitchen chatting when I eventually got their attention it was as if she was annoyed I was looking to purchase a product and it showed after I ordered a latte and it was 90% froth. Can't put into words how rude this girl was. Will not return to this cafe.

We had a lovely walk around the Country Park at the weekend and decided on our return to have a little bite to eat. There was 2 people in front of us in the queue for food. The very young girl serving only seemed to have two speeds slow and stop, she really looked like she didn't want to be there at all. We ordered two small breakfast. They stop serving breakfast at 11:30, we were in queue at 11:10, and I honestly didn't think we would be served by this time.We took our seats and was surprised at how many dogs were in there (8 large ones). There is signs saying dogs welcome, but not on the furniture. The people with dogs didn't take notice of these signs, as many were jumping up and paws on tables, licking the tables. The staff were not doing anything about this. To a non dog owner, this was very off putting. The breakfast was served and cooked by a young man, he was polite and happy in his job.The breakfast was average.Would I recommend this place or go back. No. The next time will be a lovely walk and bring a picnic.

A big group of us visited the cafe on new year's day, and we were aware from looking online beforehand that the cafe was closing at 2pm, fair enough. We had planned to get to the cafe for 1pm after a walk for some lunch and refreshments. After quite a wait in a long queue with very slow service we were told that as the cafe was closing at 2, all hot food had stopped being served at 1 despite the very long queue and the volume of people still in the cafe?! This should have been clearly displayed somewhere in the cafe or on their website but it wasn't! The staff seemed quite rude and couldn't do any more to ensure they got you out of there quick enough! At one point one of them could be heard counting down the time until they could leave (not something customers should be hearing). After we managed to get some crisps, last bits of cake and some drinks the staff then proceeded to turn the lights off in the cafe at at 1.45/1.50 pm which then made the atmosphere become very uncomfortable for the rest of us still in the cafe. On a plus side the mocha was very nice! I can understand things closing early on the bank holiday however there are better ways to do this and the staff could have definitely been a bit more friendly and more welcoming. Shame as it doesn't really make me feel like I'd want to come back again!

Went to eat lunch there today. Picked up some prewrapped paninis and toasties from the chiller cabinet. Took them to be heated at the counter, the server seemed very surprised that we wanted them hot...There was already a problem with their speed of delivering orders, while I was waiting to pay someone had to chase us their own order.I had a very dry fruit scone. Tea was a paper cup of water and a teabag dumped in front of me with a barked instruction that I could find milk “over there”. Teapot and cup anyone? We won’t be coming back, it’s really not worth it, such a shame when there are so many great cafes locally. I recommend the one in Nowton Park as an example, friendly staff, good food and drinks

An old pub, rooms are very tired, minimal maintenance and repairs. There is much better accommodation in the area!

Considering how well-staffed this café is, it’s actually impressive that their service is so bad. Despite having multiple members of staff behind the counter, only one till was open so the queue moved

Called in here to look at the antiques. We bought a small item and were served by the most miserable sour faced, unfriendly, man we had ever seen. On the way out we bought some of the excellent cake
