Coffee time, again. This wasn't here in the 80s, Cathedral time. After driving from Norwich to here, parked in the large car park near, walked across. In a large unit with windows. Very clean, tidy with comfortable chairs. Service, good as they all are. Saved to come again.

Coffee as always at Costa's. We like it and that's why we go back. The service was good, friendly. Apple cake was ok but the cheese cake tasted good but was incredibly soggy. Hesitated if I should take it back but there was a big queue and I couldn't be bothered. Disappointed however, especially as you pay a lot of money for coffee and cakes.

The mocha and cake (I had a cinnamon bun) were lovely. It just feels so crowded and chaotic and the table layout is messy. However I did visit on a Saturday at 11am.

Has definitely gone down in quality and service...yet again the flavour hot chocolates were not available. Also, cleanliness is not great.

Dreadful when staff can't take a view on the customer only toilet policy for an 8 year old, the reply being "there are public toilets", and when I stated it was hardly in the Christmas spirit I was told to stop complaining or I would be refunded which then took 5minutes. I don't understand why somebody who is so keen to get into confrontation would work so closely with the public.

Nice drink albeit drinks prices could be a little cheaper. Nice atmosphere, reasonably quick service.

Not very clean dirty cups etc on tables everywhere, table dirty needed wiping. Coffee and hot chocolate nice but had to pay extra for cream and marshmallows ! Toilets very unclean.

While I appreciate a code combination on the toilets. A person, who kept walking in and out of the kitchen with a child, who is very much under 13 years old. They seem to know the staff and have a uniform under a cardigan. She locked the toilets that weren't in use, as to deprive other customers of the toilet. I would assume food hygiene is ignored and would recommend not going.

Took ages for the coffee. I get the impression it’s under staffed.

Today my first time in Bury At Edmunds for an appointment. Called in Costa for a coffee plus had to ask for directions. OMG staff so helpful. One young man he knows who he is went all out to help me. I called back later for coffee and cake and to thank them again. Great staff very helpful friendly and polite. Will call in there again.

Good coffee, friendly team, nice and clean (loos included) but sadly failing on the disability awareness front particularly for those like myself with low vision. Try as I might I couldn't read the loo access code on the receipt nor could I see the numbers on the loo access code lock. There's nothing wrong with this system, but the very dim lighting was the issue here. Being offered 'assistance ', well meaning and intended as it was is NOT the answer.

Decent size Costa café. Always great food selection and good coffee. Kudos to Jey for his integrity. He caught the fact that he forgot to discount the cake I ordered and took it upon himself to learn how to refund me the discount.

Not very helpful with code for the loo , bottom of receipt missing with code on . Other than that ok .

I am a support worker and I took my lady to bury for the day, she is in a wheelchair, normal size one, our experience was having to navigate through 2 tables which made it narrow to get to the locked door you need s code for, staff didn't advise or mention receipt, we waited as the toilet is used for baby changing too, the corridor we waited in was tiny no room for me my lady and a wheelchair, the door to toilet so close to door with key code and impossible to hold the key code door, the toilet door and to push my lady in, id really like someone from Costa to put someone in a wheelchair and give it a go. Dishwasher was broken take away only, by the time we got back to the man making coffee ours was sitting there ready, I said politely are those ours? To be ignored, a customer offered to bring them over, I declined and took coffees over myself. The service wasn't that great. Not a great start to our visit to Costa in Bury. Please improve this as its unacceptable. My job is to treat my lady with dignity and to safeguard her in the community, you job is to make good coffee, provide great customer service and if you are providing disabled toilet facilities then please make them disabled friendly. Popped into the store this morning with my two children whilst the car had the MOT. We were after cakes and hot chocolate as it was a miserable day. With two small typically they needed the loo. To my surprise we needed a code to get this. I asked the lady making the drinks and she said we can only get it with a receipt. I explained we are ordering in a mo but wanted food so didn't want to take that in with us. Her response was we needed a receipt. So we left. We went round the corner to the arc coffee shop and said can we use the loo first. No problem. Then we ordered our drinks and got the cakes.

I think Costa is the best coffee house. Seem clean wherever I go.

You know what you're going to get from a Costa, a decent coffee at a premium price! But it does taste good. Also had a hot panini but this was no better than what you can get from a supermarket or other high street fast food outlet The site was well maintained and clean, with friendly staff so that is the only reason I've stuck to a 4/5

Went in for drink and lunch. No sandwiches or baguettes or wraps. When asked staff, they said there was no more for today. Quite alot of people walked out, I had a drink. Then while I was having my drink, a member of staff came out and filled the cabinet up. I was not amused. I then went else where to eat

Too many customers for the staff available. Dirty. Staff rushing to try to comply with orders, but swamped by volume. People paying but walking away without products due to the slowness of service.

Didn't actually manage to drink a coffee as the member of staff wouldn't take my money, asking for card only!? I had cash in my pocket which I wanted to use to get me and my party of 4 some coffee's, since when do you refuse money? You obviously don't need it then! Very disappointed as Costa is my go to coffee!

Pity no table 's outside on the lovely sunny day,all piled up outside at 4.30pm but in winter lots outside and when its raining. Maybe next time coffee was best ever ☕☕☕

Very busy on a Saturday morning but the service was slick and friendly, the staff kept up with clearing tables as well as keeping the queue moving. Tried the new kit kat hot chocolate, excellent!

Not as good as muffin break around the corner.

Coffee machine wasnt working properly. So note on door and from staff only takeaway food and drink? Plenty of staff available so why food cound not be eaten in store on a cold day..? Staff gave me a death stare when i did sit down for a moment. 😁

My wife and I visited for some coffee and food. There seemed to be a very limited selection of food that was dairy free, also no dairy free cream which other chains seemed to have grasped pretty easily. Many tables were littered with cups and rubbish, it would be nice if there was a lay-down area for customers to put their things when they're done. It's not too a big ask, nice people do that for each other. As it is we had to move mess from the table we wanted to a different table. Some of the furniture is looking tired and stained, being right near the window in a bright location it's quite disgusting to see. Our barista was polite, patient and very helpful with the dairy-free requirements.

It's Costa, new Maple Hazelnut sounded lush.. but they were out of hazelnut so just a maple!.. cheese and ham toasties are still cracking though.

Rarely visit find it a cold. Not a joke,and not very customer friendly

The worst experience we've ever had at a Costa, and we've been to a few. All she kept saying to customers was, "we're closing in 20 minutes so you can't have this, and you can't have that" I thought you were there to give the customer what they'd like. Imagine going into a pub and being told, you can't have a pint of that, I've already cleaned the pipes out, or you can't have a G & T, I've put away the lemon. I suggest Costa sort it out so the staff have time, or are paid to clean up, after closing, I mean, 4pm isn't exactly late, is it?, but we all have a choice, so perhaps we'll make a better one, next time. 🤓

Convenient coffee shop close to Town and in the middle if arc shopping complex, adjacent to the Apex theatre and the main 'Cattle Market' car park.

It's tired, the coffee is weak, the staff don't seem to give a monkeys about the cleanliness of the place... its saving grace is its location. There's wayyyy better coffee shops in town that are worth a few more minutes walk.

Always Dirty, coffee for £3 but nobody clean the tables, they stay all day over occupied and dirty!!!!

Tried going to costa but when I walked up to two young employees smoking outside at 5:20pm, they said they were already closed. Their website says they close at 6pm yet they were outside wanting to smoke for 40 min? Update your website if you close at 5pm then.

I visit Costa everyday whilst at work. But have to say out of all the Costas this was the worst Mocha I've had to date. Didn't taste of chocolate at all.

Coffee was good, service was slow, staff wandering about with no masks and singing, think maybe they should be wearing masks and not singing as some people are very anxious still. Bit of consideration for customers would be nice.

We used to come here a lot but recently this store has gone downhill- we visited today and the store was dirty and the coffee poor quality. Staff in another branch told us how the ingredients and processes Costa use have gone downhill recently in order to maximise profit, under new ownership, and it shows. The taste of the coffee wasn't very good and most of the staff aren't wearing masks either, something which you would expect when preparing food and drink. We are going to switch coffee chains as we have had too many poor coffees recently... bye bye Costa :-(

Nice coffee, nice toasted sandwiches but jesus christ could they charge you any more for it, go McDonald's round the corner, good coffee third of the price. Its not rocket science

Tables not cleared very quickly because not enough staff. big queue in shop staff having to prepare delivroo orders etc as well as normal orders no extra staff not great to be honest first time in this Costa so don't know if always like this

Not dog friendly unlike most of BSE so myself and friends go to other cafes ..plus always slow service .

All shops expensive, it's just coffee and water.

We have used this s cafe several times in the past 4 weeks. With a new born baby this has been a welcome pitstop to have a drink & feed the baby. We also brought our 3 older granddaughters here as this company is one of their favourite places & they were not disappointed either. It is sited in a convenient place. Staff are pleasant & helpful, & COVID precautions are well established. We will continue to visit this cafe.

Cheaper than Starbucks in Bury St Edmunds and better coffee

Travelled in all the way to collect a too good to go bag in the heat. - (wasted travel cost) They forgot to make a bag up/cancel the order. I arrived at the time allocated to which they asked me offered me a drink instead. Which I didn't want to take because I only came for food and needed to get a bus back quickly.
