Our most recent meal here was an Afternoon Tea celebrating the Coronation. The staff certainly made it an occasion and the standard of the fare and it’s presentation was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were very attentive. We were sat is a lovely room overlooking the extensive golf course. We have had other meals here and they have all been great and it’s location makes it great for travellers on the M20 and so much better than motorway services!

I organised a company golf day at West Malling on Friday 2nd September, and from start to finish was absolutely great. Great communication from Lara who helped massively when numbers changed and buggies needed booking, and the course was a real challenge and in very good condition considering the dry weather we have had. Our food was perfect for a golf day, bacon rolls and then Ham,Egg & Chips after, and even more important the beer was perfectly chilled. All in all it was a great day at West Malling and would not hesitate to go back again.

Booked the festive afternoon tea with Prosecco to celebrate my wife’s birthday. It was exquisite. Beautifully laid table overlooking the 18th green on the Hurricane course. Generous servings of sandwiches, cakes and scones jam and cream all of which were excellent. Couldn’t fault it. Will definitely do again.

Played the Hurricane course and although the course was pretty wet and muddy the greens were excellent. The Clubhouse was comfortable with good choice of food & drinks and the Pro Shop has the biggest selection of clubs and clothes I have seen....... Would love to play the course in the summer and would recommend you play here. Paid £32 for a green fee which was worth every penny.

Another lovely Sunday Lunch as always. I decided to have the roast pork as the crackling looked really nice, the chef offered me a bit to taste, which I really enjoyed and then added 3 bits to my plate as there was plenty to go around. There was plenty of veg to choose from and I left with a full belly and a contented smile. Thank you

A group of 20+ attended for our work Xmas party. None of us had ever visited before and so didn’t really have an expectation. The music at the start was quite loud as people were arriving and so it was hard to chat, also the welcome drinks were only available at one entrance so some of our party didn’t get them and the staff weren’t too happy about being asked for the drinks separately. The bar ran out of a few drinks, some early on which was disappointing given how busy the evening was, although the bar prices I thought were good. £1 for a soft drink and £3/£3.50 for spirit and mixer. The three course meal was good although the Melba toast with the starter was pointless as it was so brittle it couldn’t be used. The Christmas dinner and dessert were perfect! I would have liked coffee after my meal - just a suggestion for next year maybe! I did find some of the staff overly nice Nd helpful which was really good, but by the same token, some were the total opposite and at one point we almost got into an argument over a Dessert missing because a Member of our group had forgotten what she had ordered, (please remember - you may have cooked it today but we ordered it about 7 weeks ago?! To expect us all to remember every thing for every person is a Bit much!) All in all it wasn’t a bad evening, the photo booth was very well resourced and fun and the Whitney tribute act also very good! We would consider rebooking another time.

We have lived nearby for 21 years and only recently ha Sunday lunch with family - 5 in all. The food and service were excellent. An al la carte menu was available but the full carvery could not have been better - 4 courses plus coffee. The whole meal was served, and I am not sure if one could carve ones'self. There was a normal wide bar and coffee. Ideal for a celebration. One can eat in the restaurant or out on the terrace.

Four friends had a very good meal in the conservatory overlooking the 18th green on the Hurricane. The young staff were extremely attentive and polite. The carvery was a choice between Pork or Beef. We can really recommend the whole experience

My husband and I invited a couple of friends to Sunday lunch. It was a lovely sunny day and the views over the golf course were amazing . We had a table by the window. We all choose a starter which was served to us . Then on to the carvery , my husband had the beef which he said was cooked to perfection. They brought out a fresh piece of pork which apparently was lovely too. I had poached salmon also freshly cooked and lovely . All the veg was yummy , not a soggy carrot anywhere . I had the cheeseboard for desert . A good selection of cheeses. Altogether a great dinning experience .We also had very good service and it was good value I will be going back .

Our Group of 57 enjoyed a delightful lunch at the Golf Club Restaurant. The food was excellent, (a good definition of this was to see all plates returned to the kitchen, clear of left-overs!) Our room was set with tables which were laid using light yellow 'fluffy' napkins and upon entering the Dining Room, we were pleased with the room setting and atmosphere and of course, the views are spectacular over the Golf Course. Reasonably priced food, too and we hope to be able to return to this delightful venue again soon

We booked a table and arrived at just after 1330 to find one occupied table. We were shown to our table and ordered our starters.Mine was a 70's throwback prawn cocktail. Oversweet sauce packet prawns and lettuce.Main was the carvery, I chose beef, might have been seduced by the hint of pink in the middle of the large joint, sadly the rest had been cooked to that listless tasteless grey that destroys even the best quality beef (which sadly this wasn't) the potatoes were delicious but sadly the veg was overcooked. The dessert was a nice strawberry pavlova, apart from the fact that the whole topping looked like one large strawberry cut into clovers, cream was....cream the meringue looked like a disk bought in a multi pack. It was edible but Unexciting heaven only knows hat squeezie bottle the sauce came out of!Staff are attentive, generally the plates disappeared within seconds of putting cutlery down. Starters and desserts were served so fast it was clear they had been laid out in the servery ready to be served up.Sadly the starter was served with buttered bread which was dry due to being left out.I cannot believe both the restaurant AND the golf clubs card machines had BOTH broken."Chef" was very nice and chatty when she was carving and serving the main, the waitress was attentive too, apart from when it filled up around 1500 when we tried to ask for the bill.

Tried the Sunday roast carvery as the other half is getting back into golf again after a long absence and thought we'd try out the facilities. The restaurant was clean and very well presented. Definitely a place to dress a bit posh, although smart casual is welcomed. The staff were all lovely - very helpful and friendly. On this particular occasion the choice of meat was beef or turkey. I opted for turkey as the beef was too red for me. We were given two lovely thick slices each, carved from good sized joints. There was a choice of roast potatoes, savoy cabbage, carrots, mixed roast vegetables, cauliflower, gravy, Yorkshire pud. ( I think that was everything!) We were allowed to serve ourselves and were presented with hot plates so food stayed hot. Pots of cranberry and horseradish were already on the table. Some of us had starters, some of us had pud. Really recommend the brownie - melt in the mouth and soooo delicious. There was a good choice of starters and puddings. £15 or £19.50 for 2 or 3 courses. £8 or £10 for children under 12 for 2 or 3 courses. Free tea and coffee afterwards which we just about managed to fit in. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food, the service, the atmosphere and the views over the golf course. We will definitely be back. My only one complaint is that the Yorkshires, although super large, were very dry, so next time I won't have one of those. I'll force an extra potato in instead.!! Thank you for a lovely meal. We rolled home!

Went for Mother's Day. One of the worst Sunday Carverys I have been to. Very limited selection. Two meats, Roast potatoes (which were not crispy at all), Yorkshire puddings, Broccoli, Carrots, peas and Gravy. That was it!No stuffing or pigs in blankets, no Cauliflower cheese. to be honest it was school dinner standard. We certainly won't be recommending it. Also thought the lady serving was rude to my son when he asked for a bit of the turkey skin, she replied "its your heart" how rude.

We enjoyed a "festive" lunch with a fairly large group of people and as before, the service was good and the carvery generally excellent. Unfortunately we had to share with at least two other groups which resulted in the fact that we all were rather squashed into the available space and the service staff was rather hurried in keeping up with the demand. We did enjoy it though and generally speaking I would well recommend this restaurant especially when considering that you are in the middle of a Golf Course with the restaurant offering splendid views over the country side.

I believe the previous reviewer was either very lucky or somewhat an optimist. We booked to ensure our table but on arrival none was allocated so some debate ensued.Service was attentive but not properly friendly. Simply functional.Starter was good. Hot. Good portion and bode well for the rest of the meal. However, the carvery is possibly the least impressive one I have endured. Even as a single bloke I have done better in my own oven. Small plate. Chewy beef. Burned yorkshire. Only 3 veg: carrots, cabbage and cubes of tasteless swede. Roast potatoes were the saving grace. On seeing the small portion size of desserts, we decided not to order. Hygiene practices were interesting. One knife for carving both meats. Tables re-layed with the drink stains etc from the previous diners. So would I ever eat here again? Judge for yourself. I really hope that the restaurant attend to these matters quickly or I fear for their future.

The Sunday roast has always been fabulous at the Nevill Bull and today was no exception. It’s as good as home cooked one and we are all very fussy about our roasts. Perfect potatoes, perfect veggies just the right texture and taste, brilliant yorkies, beautiful rare beef, their world famous gravy! What’s more to ask for! Wine was also delish and puddings really delightful. Such a soft and gooey brownie, husband had the most delicious waffle and friend had fresh and exquisite ice cream. Thank you for a fabulous afternoon!

A group of 15 of us booked in for 8:30pm on a Thursday evening, which is after the kitchen normally shuts. However, Jade, the manageress, was very agreeable to cater for us at that time, and the staff looked after us very well. Jade’s tasty food was scoffed by the hungry diners, and all seemed pleased with their evening. The Vegetable Curry was a great hit.
