We have been here a few times now and the food is very good for a pub lunch . Nice place as well with friendly staff. The fish and chips is great .

Sunday lunch was excellent here. The service and food were both great, also some good beers, will definitely be back.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch for 7 here last Sunday. Food was superb as always. Will be back very soon. One of our favourite locals.

Absolute disgusting treatment from the staff. We had a booking for 12 people including 7 children for a family meal before xmas, apparently a fake pot plant got knocked over so the staff stopped serving us at 8:30 and throw the plant across the bar area in a temper, we spent a lot of money there to be treated so disgusting. This is clearly not a family friendly place to take your children as you are treated so poorly. I would not recommend for a family or children or infact a group meal. Disgusting staff and treatment.

Disgusting treatment from the unprofessional staff! Not a family environment at all. The pub obviously only want particular customers which do not include children! Spend a lot of money to stop being served at 8:30 because you don’t fit in with their usual customer! Would never recommend this place and definitely not as a family! Rude unprofessional and average food. avoid!

What a gem the Nevill Bull is. Tucked away in Birling at the foot of the North Downs.My girlfriend and I had invited a Dutch friend for an evening meal. She now wants to make it a regular event , so good was the food, staff and atmosphere here. There was however an unsavoury table who tried to embarrass the staff but their impeccable professionalism quelled the situation before it escalated. Great Sunday roast, I had the turkey and my friend had the homemade nut roast. Puddings were amazing, chocolate brownie and biscotti cheesecake. Already made a plan to go back.

Parked here to do the Birling Community Trail walk - highly recommend. The pub is very spacious and attractive inside but we sat outside in a nice covered area. Food was plentiful and nicely presented and piping hot. Price was £37 for two large mains, half a pint of local beer, coke and a pint of lime and soda. Barman was friendly and helpful. We will be returning.

We went to your pub by chance having heard of it but not visited, immediately entering we were greeted by a friendly face shown a table and ordered drinks and food,The food was fabulous we had chosen fish and chips so fresh with a side salad, and freshly made tatare Sauce the otheresl was caeser's salad again fresh and well presented.We Will definitely be returning to try the Sunday roast thanks great experience.

I visited with my partner for a meal out. I was looking forward to it as I read really good reviews. The place and staff are lovely, but the food was disappointing for the price you were paying. As a vegetarian, I opted for the Vegan Burger, which only consisted of the burger and some chips. Whilst my partner had a rack of ribs, chip, salad and slaw (completely filled the plate). However, I didn't realise till the bill came that my meal cost the exact same amount for half the amount of food (which also wasn't great quality). Also given that it wasn't meat, I would have expected it to be cheaper, but quite overpriced for what I got. Disappointed as it seems nice place.

We use The Nevill Bull regularly for A Sunday lunch and on special occasions.We can’t fault the food and the service.10 out of 10 from all of us.

Having lunched here midweek before, we thought we’d try Sunday lunch as the midweek lunch was so good. Unfortunately, that did not turn out to be the case. The menu choice was quite limited for choice in terms of a roast - Turkey, Beef or Gammon - Gammon? I choice turkey which was pretty good but the accompanying veg was not great. Cauliflower cheese was over cooked and the sauce on it was quite insipid. The roast potatoes were precooked and heated to serve and the remaining veg was very average. The Yorkshire pudding was good though. All in all, a bit of a disappointment tbh

Delicious food including fish and chips and roasts (advisable to book for Sunday lunch), excellent venue for buffet functions. Well-kept local beer and popular lines (ie, Madri and Inch's), friendly bar staff, easy-going vibe with diners and locals at the bar. The best it has been for many years; village pubs like this need supporting

Lovely tasteful not overdone rustic environment with bar and separate restaurant. Good variety of food on well explained menu . Service was quick friendly and efficient . The food was very tasty and well presented . The chunky chips were the best I’d had in a long time, piping hot, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Definitely worth a return visit.

Superb meal, really great quality food, a must visit. Decent pubs that produce to quality food and quality ale are not as common as they should be. The Nevile Bull stands above the crowd and really delivers with superb, no nonsense, pub food.

Excellent lunch with friends. Food was excellent the Fish & Chips and Baby Back Ribs highly recommended. Table in the bar where there is a good ambience and the bar staff and waitress (one and the same) very efficient and welcoming with an excellent sense of humour. Will be going back soon.

Great Korean chicken burger, tasty BBQ ribs, plenty of outdoor seating - covered and out in the sun - and friendly, helpful service. Looks nice inside too. There’s a big car park at the back for customers.

Being locals we expected our Xmas night to be festive and fun. Ordered a couple of bottles of wine and then were told they had no wine glasses left so make do with tumblers. A couple ordered gin but had no gin glasses. Food okay as was the service. Owner apologised for no glasses but surely at Xmas you'd ensure you have enough for those booked in? Enormously improved since its patterned- red-carpet, sticky dark varnish days of yesteryear. A pared-down, modern aesthetic is pleasing, breezy yet welcoming. A good pub menu, offered with a smile and flexibility, uplifted us after an arduous day. Several groups were dining early evening and we would now heartily recommend The Nevill Bull at Birling.
