The Kings Arms in Tonbridge and Malling

Had our first of many evenings at the kings arms, food was lovely and staff were very attentive and polite, thought I wasn’t going to manage dessert but went for it anyways had the waffles with strawberry’s ice cream and sauces “thought id died and gone to heaven” it was scrummy…..

This is a lovely little pub. Matt and the staff are friendly and very welcoming always a nice atmosphere here. The food is amazing especially the Thai night.

We won a voucher through Kent Surrey & Sussex air ambulance charity for a discount on dinner for 2 The pub is lovely. The staff so friendly and helpful but oh my life their roast is fit for a King. Massive portion. Beef and all the veggies cooked to perfection. Would have loved a good wine list but the bottle of red we had was ok. Can’t wait for our next visit. Well done team! Top pub!

Came across this wonderful pub while in kent So, the first visit won't be the last👍 The welcome was very friendly. The meal was excellent, served by a very attractive, polite waitress the local drinkers were very friendly too. That turned out to be a very sunny, enjoyable day

Had Sunday lunch at this establishment and it was very good I could not fault it in any way One of the best However to make it perfect I could have had a bigger portion of vegetables but I would definitely go back

Our annual visit to the King's Arms for Offham May Day didn't disappoint. Crowded as ever for this event but the wait for a pint of Tonbridge ale was well worth it.

Absolutely lovely to attend a proper pub with a buzzing atmosphere! The food was delicious and fairly priced and the staff extremely welcoming and friendly. Very highly recommended and will definitely be visiting again!

Visited for a quick pint on Sunday lunch time, very busy and the food looked amazing. Great service despite the numbers of people. Beer offering was lacklustre but in good condition. 2x Tonbridge Brewery, a Youngs and a Doom Bar. Will return to try the food booking on a Sunday would seem recommended.

The staff behind the bar and restaurant side were going out of their way for us. Smiling and laughing while serving.(Sat 30/3) Amazing and thank you. Thai food is really tasty and good portions. Definitely will be coming back!!

Got lost when Google maps lost connection and ended up at this great little pub. Great service and a menu that leaves me wanting to come back again.

Came across this The King's Arms while out on a walk. We were given a warm welcome so decided to stop and have lunch too. They have a good menu and we both opted for a Ploughmans. This consisted of 3 types of cheese and selection of pickles and even a slice of ham with a crusty baguette. We finished off with a slice of walnut cake. I noticed there is a nice sized garden with plenty of seating, I imagine summer time it can get quite busy as only pub left in the village. Will definitely be returning. A very friendly pub with nice clientele.

Nice village pub, we had very nice food and the service was good. The pub wasn't busy being midweek late lunch time but regular locals and a log fire made for a good atmosphere.

Had the most amazing Christmas dinner here. The amount of food we got for the price was alot and the staff were so helpful and friendly.

Visited for lunch as in the local area & pub has a good selection of sandwiches available, served with tortillas & salad & we ordered a portion of fries as a side. Very tasty food, served piping hot & good service from friendly staff. Small carpark, although there is free parking on road, but it's limited.

A lovely Sunday Roast lunch at this warm & welcoming pub. There were 4 people in our party ; 2 had roast chicken, 1 lamb shank and 1 roast pork. We were all very pleased with our choices. More than enough helpings of everything. The service was impeccable - led by the manager who was charming and very helpful. Everything was perfect - including the prices, which were very reasonable. We have eaten here a number of times now and the standard has been maintained throughout.

Lovely staff and friendly atmosphere. Stopped in tonight for a meal, staff cooked for us even though it sounded like the kitchen had been closed.

We are staying just down the road and booked lunch here before we went onto our holiday place. Service throughout was excellent and very friendly. We both had a roast which was delicious and very good value with lots of veggies and a very tasty crumble and custard for pudding, just what you need on a rainy cloudy Sunday!

We do not live far away but it is the first time we have been here. It was chosen because it is halfway(ish) between us and our friends who we were lunching with. We really hit lucky as it is a very nice little country pub. The food was excellent and the service was friendly and efficient. The beer was in great condition as well. We are certain to return.

Literally came across this Lyn when driving through the village. It’s in a beautiful little village. The stag and locals are super friendly to both adults and dogs who they spoilt! The food was fab too! Would defo recommend and will defo be visiting again

Brilliant little pub that’s a hidden gem, staff all super friendly and welcoming and obviously a place for locals which is always a good sign. Been a couple of times for food and drinks, always amazing portions and tasty. Ploughman’s is a must and Sunday roast great value

Kings Arms is run very well, great service, friendly staff, nice atmosphere, and the food is outstanding. Has become our new local visiting several times a week. Can not praise and recommend enough.

We absolutely Loved our roast dinner. It was wholesome and delicious. The service was great. All round a very pleasant experience.

Excellent meal. Had fish and chips and ham egg and chips. Then jam and coconut sponge, sticky toffee pudding and Eaton mess. Everything tasty. Best meal out recently and great value. Would eat there again.

Wow, wow, wow we just love it here the food is fabulous such good value for money. All the staff are so friendly and accommodating.... even dogs have there own menu. Today Sunday 6th July we had a late lunch and as well as there traditional fab menu they've a Tapas menu. It was so delicious the flavours we're wonderful so much to choose from. We'll be back soon so we can choose the other dishes on the menu.

Despite the fact that the pub is always full of regulars/locals, I'm always impressed how welcoming the staff are to newcomers. You are made to feel welcome. First visit - free roast potatoes! Second visit - despite not being able to reach the bar (busy!) bar staff were quick to spot me and serve drinks.

Beer okay but the pub has lost its atmosphere. A struggle to get to the bar as all the locals crowd round it. Too many kids running loose in the bar area.

Popped in for lunch on the way home from a local activity morning. Passed the pub on the way to the event and thought it could be worth a try. Glad we did. It was very quiet but it was the day of the coronation. Made very welcome, good cask beer, and very good lunch offering. We had the gammon. The steak was very large and cooked well. It came with a tasty salad and chips. Very good value.

Tried for the first time food was great and good choice prices good beer was great and wife loved the house red wine very friendly staff went back the next day just for a drink and was welcomed will use again shortly

Visited for the first time yesterday. Fantastic freshly cooked food and such large portions. The girl behind the bar who also served the food had a wonderful personality and a lovely smile, nothing too much trouble. Will certainly go back. Already spreading the word to my neighbours!

Very nice roast. Desert was home made cheesecake, wouldn't of minded a second helping but unfortunately didn't. Reccomend this place although maybe advisable to book on a Sunday as very busy.

The kings arms is a fantastic pub, where you are made to feel at home. They always make a fuss of our dog and the food is superb. The staff are really friendly and nothing is too much for them! A firm favourite!

Enjoyed some lovely Thai food at The Kings Arms tonight which is available 6 - 9pm on a Saturday evening.Took a menu home so we have the option to also order a takeaway another time.We got there early but it was very busy when we left so make sure you book a table beforehand.

Nice place for lunch friendly nice grub and a fair price. Ain't been there for evening yet but see no reason why should be any different.

Really lovely staff, well priced lager and dog friendly. One member of staff even came outside to bring our pup a couple of treats.

Good food and good service in a good pub

We took my husbands daughter and her partner for Sunday lunch today as it was her birthday. I can honestly say the service is outstanding she even got sparks on her pudding! They always look after our doggie fresh water and a welcome biscuit. The food is absolutely delicious and always has been. Our doggie had the meat mezzo from the doggie menu. We all had roast beef which I would definitely recommend.

Lucky enough to get booked in for Sunday lunch again today. Once again the food was outstanding, wonderful atmosphere and the facilities were pristine. However, what makes this lovely pub unique is the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. From the moment you enter you feel welcome and at home. Thank you guys for another lovely afternoon.

We went to the Kings Arms for a roast at 4.30pm Sunday- delicious roast dinners, excellent service and friendly staff. Would highly recommend, we will definitely be returning.

Really really lovely food. Staff Really friendly and very helpful,and just to top it all you can take your dog in the pub and sit have your meal AND your dogs can have a DOGGIE DINNER of there own DOGGIE MENU its Great well worth a visit

Went to the pub for a meal to be told they don’t do food at weekends. Beer was so so - atmosphere a bit lacking, definitely a locals’ pub. Won’t bother returning

Oh dear, was expecting so much from this little village pub but... service with a smile,drinks to the table quickly but then it went down hill fast. I went safe and had the burger...big mistake. It was the worst thing I have ever eaten! I mean how can you get a good old pub burger so bad. The roll was the cheapest roll u could get and the burger was about 15mm thick and tasted like it was boiled to cook it. I could of got better in the high street off one of those carts. I really mean it was the worst thing I've had, on the plus side, chips and salad were good. Sorry but won't be back.

So delicious, the staff are all so friendly & welcoming - I brought my dog & they all made such a fuss of him & he even got a “doggy menu”, I selected a bowl of yummy offcuts from the kitchen for him. He was so chuffed! Incredible roast dinner for the humans - the portions were extremely generous. We’ll definitely be back! My favourite place for a roast to date!

Was going so well........ A beautiful pub, the waitress was superb, the food was excellent and there was nothing to complain about, we were heading for a 5 star review and then...... All of a sudden people started turning up with dogs inside the pub. Someone even took one through the kitchen door! Then dogs getting excited with other dogs and barking inside and then perhaps worst of all, petting the dogs and then serving food. Perhaps even more strangely, the pub was at a lovely comfortable temperature and then a member of staff decided to light the open fire causing a lot of smoke inside! Then they opened a window and it was absolutely freezing! Strange. Other than that it is a lovely pub, it really is.

Had an amazing lunch today . Very welcoming to dogs and their humans EVERYONE there loves dogs ,from the moment we arrived a bowl of fresh water was brought for our fur kid followed by a dog treat while we waited for out lunch to arrive I've not had a better gammon steak anywhere else . My husband loved the liver and horseradish mash and our dog was over the moon with the doggie menu 😃 Will definitely be going back soon x
