Great for live sport, lots of TVs! good selection of beers! An, unusually, traditional pub with pool table, darts and a jukebox!

We wanted to try this pub for ages and finally found time to do so for a mid week lunch. The place got very busy whilst we were there with every table taken. We ordered and were warned that it may take a little while longer for the food to arrive, however, within ten minutes we were served. The food was delicious! The portions were huge and we almost didn't manage to finish our meals. The drinks were served in generous glasses and the prices were cheaper than elsewhere. Overall we were very positively surprised and will probably be back.

2nd time at this place abd it's incredible! Everyone is very welcoming and I want to shout out to Ben, keris? (Sorry if it's wrong) and kayleigh! They all assist us with ordering and a slight mix up but was swiftly rectified! The food wad perfect, my new favourite place for food!!! Will recommend

Another lunch at this local pub. Just 3 elderly ladies out for a natter. I chose Classic fish and chips mushy peas. Fish was succulent, batter light and crunchy. Delicious!. All day breakfast was phenomenal and chick n mix was moist and crunchy. Cant beat it. Might take the husband next time. lol If you want a good value home cooked meal go. You wont be disappointed.

Cracking pub, great atmosphere, popped in for a few while staying at the holiday inn down the road.

Nice meal, it was a bit noisy due to football and rugby being on.

Lack of experience shown by manager on kitchen opening times, we heard him tell his staff take no orders before 6.30. Orders could of been taken while chef on his break and put through on his return, due to this inexperience, peoples orders where not in keeping with first come first served, also waiting for half an hour to place the order to then be told four of the dishes where not available, had we have known that half an hour prior we would not have sat there. This male manager needs serious training and people skills development. 40 years in hospitality gives us more experience than him.

Good selection of food at very reasonable prices. Staff were friendly and the service was good. I would thoroughly recommend a visit.

Good good was excellent and great value. Unfortunately customers were openly vaping inside.I questioned the bar man who confirmed it is NOT allowed.Despite this he made no attempt to stop the family from continuing.

We came last night for quiz night and dinner, at first we were rejected as we hadn't booked, but we insisted when we saw an empty table. Prices are so cheap for food. Good quality price, so much choice, it was hard to choose. We started with nachos and then a burger and kebab. Just great while quizzing. 80 questions but time flew. £1 to play and the winners win the amount collected. So the more the merrier. Will definetly come back!

A lively and spacious pub in the middle of West End. On a Friday or Saturday it's always bustling. If you fancy watching sports then it's ideal. There's a good jukebox with a broad range of musical genres, a pool table, dart board, plenty of seats (inside and out), dedicated smoking area, parking and a broad bar with plenty of drinks choices and fast and friendly staff too. The toilets are good and the lighting and decor give the large bar area a cosy feel. Fun, lively and busy. Not tried the food yet....the Guinness is good though.

Food fine, staff lovely. Moved table three times due to rowdiness. Like a youth club, many looked underage, customers effin’ and jeffin’ and smoking right outside the main doors.

We arrived late after watching the Hundred at the Ageas Bowl. William and Val were really accommodating. We were late as food for children had stopped being served. William was great and allowed us in, while Val stayed late to help feed our hungry family of 6. The locals were a lovely bunch too

Only let down was having to wait 25 mins to order at 6pm because staff were on a break. Other than that the food was really good value for money.

We ate in here as we were staying at the Ageas Bowl before our cruise. The food and service was outstanding, and big portions which were good value for money. The double chicken burger was amazing.

Attended on my own as a single female with my dog.Slightly anxious.Found a table quickly and was greeted by a friendly lady who was sat with the manager. Went to the bar and was again greeted with a smile and had my order taken.My cup of tea was brought to me at my table. I felt very comfortable reading my book. Food arrived soon and it was BRILLIANT.

Had a couple pints last Saturday and a small bite to eat. The barman could not have been more helpful. Dropped by my table to check on me while I was eating and brought me another drink to save me queing at the bar. Don't know his name but he had a beard!

Visited for the 1st time with my daughter for lunch. The atmosphere is so relaxed, the staff are lovely and greeted us as soon as we walked in and the food was gorgeous. Thank you & l can't wait to come back.

Another excellent visit. we were served promptly and by very warm,friendly young girl at the bar.Also had a lovely welcome from the manager Stuart. Meals came quickly.I had double burger with chips .It was juicy,hot and scrumptious.my friend had steak.Cooked to perfection. Excellent service, excellent food,excellent price.

Popped in On a Friday night couple of weeks ago to meet friends and have some food, pub was buzzing which is nice to see we had booked a table and there it was in the corner. Orderd the fish platter,it was lovely really enjoyed it and our friends did too. I think the barman said it was the chefs first night...they did well. Left very content and went back home to Pompey, friendly staff and good food too. Will return.

I come here Mondays for a drink after a dance class with a bunch of people . Friendly Pub and Friendly Staff. This is the first time I have eaten here . We did the value lunch time deal for 2 people . Fish and chips were lovely . Nice crispy Batter and no problem changing the chips for Salad . My friend had Hunters chicken which looked great. Followed by Apple pie and custard . Will definitely be back

We often visit this Pub and the general vibe of this establishment is warm and friendly. The staff are superb and are very attentive. Food 99% of the time is spot on and excellent value for money. Well done to Stuart all of the team.

This is a pub i visit once a week with my wife and dancing friends. We normally turn up as quite a large group and are always made to feel very welcome. The food is excellent value for money and we have never been disappointed with our choice from the extensive menu. One of the best Green King pubs we have visited locally. What's not to like ?

Great relaxed atmosphere in this local pub staff all friendly ,met up for a pre arranged meal with a local group and the food and service was great ,food was tasty and hot and reasonably priced

Our daytime jive group on Mondays booked a Christmas meal last year but unfortunately this was cancelled due to the tragic death of the landlady just before Christmas. However the pub completely honoured the agreement and today they did our group of 26 odd people...

Just had a meal here with our friends. We all had lovely meals and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be coming back.

I was one of 30 and with my catering experience, I must say the service was excellent, My Gammon steak wasn't salty or frizzled infact my plate of Hot food was very enjoyable

Nice little pub, not a great selection of beers to say it's called West end BREWERY just couple of green king standard beers (IPA). Food was good value and generous servings, staff were welcoming and service was good. Over all a nice experience 😊
